Arms straight up, with a load pulling them backwards is a very bad position for the shoulder joint. Do tell me how there is any load the more vertical your arms get. With cable you can argue for it, but not with free weights. I dont backsquat, but my front squat ATG 1rm max was 200 kg at 110 kg BW

If it's a bad position for your shoulders then you have unhealthy shoulders. That's not how a shoulder joint work. Ever heard of impingement? Pullovers puts it in position that can easily cause that. Short ROM with heavy weights is the best for packing on mass IME. http://www.personaltraineroxford.com/blog/full-range-of-motion-vs-partial-range-of-motion-which-is-better-when-it-comes-to-muscle-size-and-str/ Lots of studies contradict that statement Not to mention a freeweight pullover has a ROM w…

I have tried them, yes. Static training of the arms; no gains. Short, inefficient ROM on chest; no gains. Bad position for shoulder joints; no gains. If done with free weights, zero load when holding the weight above you; no gains. Short partial ROM with actual load on lats; no gains. Inefficient loading pattern with only the very last part of the exercise having any load; no gains. Calling this a good mass-building compound movement is so very very wrong.

Lifting doesnt increase testostetone. It lowers it. For most serious naturals, the average test level will be 50% lower than non lifters. Read it on tnation. Just google it.

No that kind of law would apply to either gender. And who is most likely to buy sex, and who is most likely to sell sex?

If you have ever had sex while even slightly drunk, or while asleep, you were raped. That is a fact. Doesn't matter if you recognize it as such yourself. Feminism 101.

If your 1RM in bench press is 500 lbs, you might be pushing at 100% and still only doing ~30% of what you are capable of at that very moment. You know what I mean? You lift as much as your body and mind can possible be able to, yet that is still only ~30% of what your mind and body is capable of in that moment. You can operate at 100% and 30% simultaniously. That means if you are able to actually use those last 70% (in a life-or-death situation), you are actually operating at 300% capacity.

Self-control, or willpower, works sort of like a muscle. Exercise it a little each day and it becomes stronger, strain it too much too quickly and it gets overloaded. It is a chemical bath tub in the brain that gets depleted each time you use it, and refills again.

She could take a placebo pill and shallow it in front of your eyes. She could hide the pill beneath her tongue and only shallow the spit. She could realize that the pill is only 97% effective.

They really don't. Having a bar resting on your back does not work your trapz, arms, shoulders, chest or lats in any significant way that results in gains. Just as doing seated calf raises in the smith does not make your thighs stronger, even though a bar is resting on them. The only muscles in the upper body that gets properly worked is the core. Fatman pullups might actually be the best row variant there is. Research the difference a Closed vs Open kinetic chain exercises makes Closed=pull yourself through the air, Open=Pull an object through the air. But it's probably a minimal difference. After that point, you likely won't be able to increase the weight in the exercise every 1-3 times…

That's a great way to shoulder injury and forwarded posture. Both pullups and pushups use the internal rotating mechanism of the shoulder joint, whereas vertical rows use the external rotators. Gotta keep the balance. One rep of rows (fatman pullups if no gym) for every pushup or pullup.

Why would it be defined another way than it is now, just because there is no free will? Compassion is, I guess, nothing more than an evolutionary beneficial trait for people in tribes to have. So, no free will is necessary.

It's normal because it occurs very often in the animal kingdom as well. No male is 100% straight either, but sexuality is a fluid thing with most having very slight homosexual urges. It is beneficiel for society to have gay members as well, as in the gay members will not be able to have offspring and hence will be able to support the offspring of the straight family members = more resources per kid.

You are mentally deficient if you think people don't deserve the choice themself barring extreme medical cases. A personal anecdote: The doctors told my parents I had to get circumsided as well, because my foreskin was too tight. They didn't. Well, when I was 16 years old I finally pulled it back, it hurt, it stretched itself after a couple of times and now my penis works perfectly WITH foreskin. Good thing they didn't remove it and let me have the choice on what to do. It could also be fixed by…

18 years of child support obligation is not a significant consequence As a man I would BY FAR, NO CONTEST, prefer to gain 5-20 lbs on my stomach over 9 months and have a painful kidney-stone or two (which is comparable to child birth, I think) than spend 20 additional hours a week in a shitty job for 18 years. wouldn't that also mean 10 times more pain from hot water or clothing That is correct. And that is why there is a foreskin protecting the head. Hot water does not hurt, but if I pull my foreskin back and then put my underwear on and walk around, it hurts like hell. Like, almost brings me to tears, that's how sensitive it is. I have heard a hypothesis of why many women so often go from love to hatred, like doing a complete 180 instantly. It is because of estrogen hormones. Womens preference shift when on periods, from feminime men to masculine men. So when pills block their periods, they are not attracted to masculine men, so they often date feminime men. And when they stop taking the pills, their preference suddenly shift to a more masculine type. So one day, they might detest being with the man they previously ador…

Bulky muscles are created with more resistance. Lean muscles are created with more repetitions. Just a correction. Muscles are muscles, and they are only able to grow or shrink and nothing else. Being falsely accused of rape still very often result in jail time, and in America that is pretty much the same thing as getting raped by the inmates. (More men get raped than women in America partly because of the jail rapes) So you have a girl getting raped once by the opposite gender, or a guy getting raped frequently for many years by the same gender. Not to belittle rape victims, but one certainly is far worse than the other.

Men don't have to gain muscles to gain confidence. But it is one way to do it. But you have to realise, it is not the muscles as such that makes you gain the confidence. You gain confidence, because it takes so much hard work, dedication and willpower to actually gain some serious muscles. Everything that takes hard work, dedication and willpower leaves you with more confidence than you came in with. You talk about red herrings. Well, how about yours? Comparing teens that lifts weights and eats …

Every bodybuilding-competetion in my country drug-tests the Top 3 plus 10 randoms, or something like that. But even then, probably 95% are on steroids at those competetions (in the higher weight-classes). Passing drug-tests are NOT a difficult thing to do, some steroids are even out of the bloodstream in a couple hours. Some can't even be tested for. That is also why so many sports athletes can be on drugs in drugtested sports. Drug-tests are pretty much just to make the soccermoms and -dads fee…

Almost every sport industry and sport fan idolises athletes who are most definitely on steroids. So that point is pretty moot. They don't worship Zyzz because he went from skinny to aesthetic, they worship him because lifting weights made him able to live his life to the very fullest. Through lifting weight and getting confidence, he was able to do whatever the fuck he wanted. And that is why he was idolised. He was also on a fuckload of partydrugs, not just steroids, which is probably the prima…

With what basis do you make this claim? You should probably rather ask, "on what basis did someone figure up muscle dysmorphia? And at what point was it possible to apply the muscle-dysmoprhia check-list to pretty much every sport athlete ever?" As I said, some people do have body-issues related to muscles, but the people OP talked about are NOT those kind of people. As wiki also says "[Body dysmorphia is] not merely appear over-interested in physique or engage in behaviors other people would fi…

but I think it is understated in our community that an obsession with gaining muscle is not healthy Would say the same thing to a football-player working hard every day to become the best at his sport? "You are obsessed about gaining speed, strength and agility - it is NOT healthy for you!" Being the best football-player, and not just playing it recreationally, will in almost every case require drugs as well. It is not a must at all if you are doing it recreationally, and you can still get very …

I think this is the only way women in those countries will ever be able to change the laws. So, however vile this is, good for them I say. Let's hope they succeed in making the country a better place for future generations.

Its not like you scream rape and are handed 11k, But how do you know those, who are handed 11k with noone been found guilty, had not just screamed rape? Why would it not be worth trying, as a sociopathic girl caring only for money? You have probably seen the videos of girls screaming rape to the taxidriver just to get out of a 10$ ticket. Such girls exists, many of them even. You suffer no consequence if nothing happens, and you might get £11k. You really can't lose in that scenario, only win or…

But is it blatant racism and xenophobia if it is the truth? If muslims commit most of the rapes, is it then racism and xenophobia to say that they do in fact commit most of the rapes?

How do you propose to actually determine if someone was raped or not, if no one was found guilty? Because right now, the peoples tax-dollars go to people who might, or might not, have been raped. And why should others compensate for someone who might not have been raped?

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/news/north-east-news/2007/04/08/teacher-s-11k-an-insult-79310-18876730/ The 11k came from here. In 2007 £15,000,000 was given to just under 1,500 "rape victims" in compensation. That comes out to £10k each.

The law should not just punish people based on the written law, but based on context. And neither a man nor a woman should be punished, for accidentaly showing a picture of ones sexual organs.

Women are known to be more emotional than men, whereas men are more rational. Maybe that myth is based on something real afterall.

Because males by nature are stronger than females in the species known as homo sapiens, hence why females find strong males attractive (unless they are on the pill, they prefer weak men who will be less likely to cheat on them because less girls prefer weak men)...

Men are attracted to healthy breasts, which is because they show fertility. Not to mention, that just by seeing attractive people it raises your dopamine-levels making you happier. All that = more customers.
/r/MensRights14/08/12 06:09 PM

The bigger the breast you have the more fertile you are = men are more likely to speak with you, hence more customers. See, I can do stupid comparisons as well.

That muscular = intimidating is just like, your opinion, man. Just like big boobs > small boobs which = more customers is just like, that boss's opinion, man. Both are wrong, or right, however you want to look at it. Btw, how do you know she was bad at math? Did you actually see her grades, or do you just pressume that she was based on her choice of clothing? Isn't one of feminism goals that women should NOT be judged by their choice of clothing?

I have been denied a job as a server because I was, with his own words, too muscular, and will you know, a slender man got the job instead. What does that say about equality? Don't think that only women experience superficial discrimination. Bosses hire people based on what they think will work best for their company, and in my opinion that is indeed their right to do so.

You should seek counseling instead of MRA for thinking that people actually -deserve- to be beaten in a relationship, just because they are "cunts".

I would far, far, far prefer to be a victim of an attempted rape than a real rape. One is far, far worse. Which the punishment should reflect.

It stated that he didn't actually rape her, now doesn't it? The attacker brutally beat the victim and ripped off her pants in an attempt to rape her. A witness rushed to the scene and intervened. So, 1) He isn't a rapist, he didn't rape anyone. 2) He shouldn't be charged as a rapist, but as an assaulter or something like that. 3) He didn't get "freed", he still got punishment Let us not try to twist others words, like feminists so often do. We should look at the whole picture.

No, he shouldn't. He should just live and let live. Just because he would be fired over saying something suggestive (that isn't that bad), doesn't mean he should make other people get fired for saying something suggestive. I am all for equal rights, but they have to be based on just and fairness, not just "an eye for an eye" or however that saying goes. He would then be EXACTLY what's wrong with feminists.
