Aye. Compounded by her decision that she didn’t need to talk to her doctor and I should just live with it. Nope.

You did insult her in front of your child. Cheap shots in front of your children are immature. Calling her crazy for being upset with it is just doubling down.

You have no idea if another man is involved.

Be calm. You may work this out or you may not. Be prepared either way. This is the time to prepare. Protect yourself. Learn the laws and at least consult a lawyer. How you and your children end up is based upon how calmly and wisely you react right now. Be smart. You aren't asking for this, don't get taken. Don't be emotional, be wise. Emotions will come later and then you will be OK. You'll be OK one day IF you don't let your emotions rule THIS day.

My ex showed me her new tits. Her excuse was "is this bruising normal?" I knew she was just trying to get a reaction. None given. Ignore it, it will go away.

You're dating way too soon. You need to unwind and find yourself as a single person. It will make you a healthier person, a better prospect, and better able to make dating choices when it's a want and not a need. I would wait a year, at least.

I have no idea what this disorder is called but it’s a thing and it’s a very serious thing.

Yep. And all states and judges are different. Not leaving the house until advised it’s OK is a good rule of thumb though if there’s no danger.

I agree. Get an account and move your direct deposit ASAP so you can pay into the bills what is fair and she doesn’t control your earnings. Don’t be spiteful or unfair, that can backfire big, just get control. It sucks but you’ll get past it and things will get better. I’m happier than I have been in decades. Hang in there.

It depends on the state. In mine all debt and assets are equally shared by default.

In many states moving out is a big mistake. It can be considered abandonment.

Listen to your lawyer

I can't speak for Canada but that is the case in the US. You have to have 2 escape routes by door and all windows have to have a X number of inches opening with a window well big enough to allow escape. Check with your local government publications to find out the legal code. As far as losing custody, I don't know.

You're in the thick of it. It gets better as you settle in to your re-birth. Focus on you and hang in there.

I count my blessings daily. I lost 20 years of not being me and I love being me.

IIRC, vacating can be presented and viewed as abandonment. Every state and situation are different, so ask a lawyer. An official separation involving the courts may resolve this as it will spell out things like this but that can be expensive too.

Beware of vacating your property. This can definitely work against you in divorce. Talk to a lawyer.

When I see groups of boys without fathers, it reminds me of how these women made terrible decisions and often for the worst reasons and left these children fatherless. Everyone wants to blame men. Many of these women are so toxic or selfish, the men have little choice. Yes, men are the same, but let’s not assume women are innocent, because they aren’t, and many of these situations are even intentionally created by women.

You’re beating a dead horse. What you wrote is for you, not her. Say goodbye to her and hello again to you.

The best thing I’ve done is stop communicating with my ex about anything but my teens. Moving on now gets you to where you need to be faster.

Take them to a doctor and have the doctor treat it and document it. INFORM your STBX of what was found and how to correct it. Be the person who did the right things for your kids.

Hiding assets will just fuck you over with the judge. Hire a lawyer.

Nutritional eating is important. Children have different tastebuds than we do. Find something he likes with the nutritional value. Kids need to decompress too. Don’t be a hardass. PS: Brussels sprouts are generally nasty to kids.

No move would have changed your life. The trap was set. She wanted what she wanted and she is willing to sacrifice you AND the truth to get it.

Until her lawyer does check, on your dime, and crushes you in court destroying your reputation with the judge. People have security cameras. There will be witnesses. Phones can be tracked. I fucked my STBX very hard using surveillance. You gave contradictory advice and I would say bad advice. Busting down the door rather than using the courts is also bad advice.

So, stay within the law but illegally make shit up? Yeah, not good advice.

You will probably be best served going to her with empathy towards her financial plight and a willingness to make concessions, probably large concessions. Otherwise, lawyer up, let them take a huge bite, and maybe still get the short end in court. If she understands she doesn't have a legal claim on the $65K, she will be more accepting of a good offer. That good offer may very well end up being $65K, but more likely something less, IMHO, if she's a reasonable person. If you offer zero, you're pr…

It depends on the state. In my state all legal fees come from marital assets.
