"I don't have time for a partner but here we go on a dating app" like why?

In general it's good to look at and reflect on what attracts you to certain people. We often seek in others what we are lacking and want to fulfill. It's a good time to grow. I didn't receive much nurturing growing up. I have a lot of trauma. I have always wanted to feel loved.

This is scary. I don't feel like it was this bad even in the 2,000 like this teenage girl was telling me how sometimes she even catches them watching porn hub in class. They're so amused and unashamed about abusing women and getting off to it, increasingly younger now... (I realize this is a thing that has happened before today it just seems way more intense and rampant now to me idk but holy shit WOW. That is terrifying.) I mean 14. Imagine how much worse he will get as he ages. This is boy sou…

I need to heal to get back to that mindset. I've regressed after recently acting out my traumas, and losing my housing. Wanting that sense of "security" but I like it working out how you describe; I rather things happen naturally than say, a dating site or seeking a bf, I find that so unnatural and risky.

But just to see how increasingly normalized it is for women to expect painful sex is just WOW. But I agree. Just... as someone who grew up sheltered (raised Mormon,) then left at 21, I did not expect this shock and it makes me afraid to even consider dating or having sex like YIKES. I always want to say "it's just the internet" but nope.

There was black widow on my porch under my chair below the headlight. They're creepy and scalding looking and intriguing at the same time. I had fun watching her and was like "oh cool" when I saw she had eaten her mate. Like "yeaa Mother Nature. Female power. Male purpose to seek and die not the other way around." And then I had a duh moment when the egg Sac hatched and some got in my apartment. Oh boy. Fascination dead lol.

Some guy said I "must be fat and ugly." Always remember women; wanting to be treated with love and respect is for the fat and ugly. Mmkay. (Trying to neg us into abuse while simultaneously blaming us for it; narcissism.)

I didn't think of it for 7 years till old traumas popped it up and now I think of it everyday. This lock down isn't helping I'm super depressed about it. I was deprived of an experience that I ached for so bad (affection and intimacy starved and this person was more than open to provide for said needs,) and I hurt them. And I just feel a loss that I'll never experience anything like that again. It was like my biggest regret but I don't know what would've happened if I went for it. Thank you for …

The first time I was interested in someone I sent mixed signals; j felt awful, at the time, it was cause I was living with an abusive make family member (my father,) and was afraid unconsciously afraid of what he'd do to me due to covert sexual abuse and covert sexual threats. It was too painful to be aware of cause everyone was complicit. It was a "I really really want you but I'm also afraid of the increased abuse this will ensure" kind of thing. It was the most like, reversed relationship eve…

Porn users are so unattractive. They talk juvenile. 0 class. "Bust a nut." "Nutted." "Horny" "I cummed" "Down to fuck?" I hate that crass language. I feel like any decent man, for a lack of a better term, should have a sense of "reverence" and respect when it comes to women's bodies. The language is so disrespectful I couldn't trust a wanker with my body. There is no romance with a porn wanker. I had a dude get offended at calling this type of language crass. Good. Start calling it as it is.

"If you look you will always find something you don't like!" Like we should just live in ignorance and accept them sneaking around lmao. If that's the case then admittedly no man is trustworthy.

Same. All I did was set boundaries around personal space and he demanded and expected daily attention from me. Like being raised by a psychotic toddler
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/04/20 09:34 AM

My abusive father reacted to my boundaries as if they were revenge. Creepy af. Also; "why does he do that" should be a required read for every woman; so enlightening about entitled controlling behavior in men.

100%. So tired of the "that's snooping!" Concept. We already know men and women are very different when it comes to trustworthiness... men by default, as a class, have to prove themselves. Starts with not being secretive with phones... I'm irked whenever I see women get lectured for doing this... it's a rational behavior not "paranoid."

Unpopular opinion; women should be allowed to look into their partners devices. It's not "double standards" when men set the damn standards; men have proven to be untrustworthy and if they want to prove that they should be open with that shit. I was into this guy and that was a huge reason why; he was "different" cause he never made crass or vulgar comments. (This was as a teen.) his friends? Constantly. One of them asked me if I ever had sex dreams about them, one made a BJ motion at me, and both wanted to know why I liked their friend and not them. Ffs who can be this dumb..

I was very, very young. 18. I wasn't aware of what he was doing. I didn't do anything for his ego other then to appreciate the basic decency I was receiving at the time and he took an ego boost for it; I was in an abusive home, traumatized. Don't compare yourself to me, thanks. The key thing is I wouldn't fall for this NOW, and it was a shitty thing for them to do. You couldn't pay me to go on Tinder.

I hope that downvote was an accident like tf. Sometimes when our needs aren't being met we learn to be grateful for scraps and seek basic decency in men cause those relationships still foster a sense of nurturing. So typical to do if you have shit self worth. I'm glad you're doing well with yourself now. 7 years is a long time. That was me for 8 years lol. For 1 year he was literally the only one asking me if I was ok so like; I don't blame you, we all need someone.

My experience was he didn't talk to me for an entire year after leaving state, comes back, hits on me, I feel something off and should listen to my gut but ignore it, and then find out he has a girlfriend after he asks me out. Just wanted to see if he was "still my weakness" and get an ego validation boost seeing he was; made me feel pathetic. They're fucking trash. So petrified of real communication and connection.

It's so bad too cause we are all brainwashed on this. I was all "miss independent 21-24 but then got re-traumatized and now I'm regressing back into thinking I need to be in a relationship to feel special/good; I wish we weren't on lock down so I could get help lol I can't see my shrink. It is not good to condition women to feel that their success or life has no value without a man, i am finding I enjoy films more and more that just center women and don't focus on relationships. I'm with roommates that are loud as hell. They say if they're ever too loud to tell them, and yet they're usually blaring their tv as loud as possible with speakers till 3 am, or the fiancé is yelling at his video game till 4 am, or they're out till 3 and I wake up to their dogs barking as they stumble in. "Communication is key" is what they told me. At some point there's such thing as basic consideration; if I were to complain everyday I'd be a "nag." Or "too sensitive." Or "maybe you're jus a …

"So your porn star has a perfect vagina because she's so virginal?" FUCK, this is such a good connection that I never thought of... men will really be making claims that darkened and more folded labia isn't part of puberty, nope, it's "too much sex" but will wank off to porn and expect women to look "tight" like that and claim it's how virgins look... God they really are fucking stupid. Their attempts to justify and rationalize misogyny are so weak. I'm gonna have to remember this shit.

😡😤🤦🏼‍♀️that's so fucked up. It's so abhorrent to make women feel bad about such a deeply intimate and private part of themselves. I think genitalia in general looks weird, but when you feel connected to that other person it doesn't matter, it shouldn't matter. Porn turns sex into a performance instead of an act of connection and sharing.

These stories make me scared to have sex too... I was raised religions (left at 21,) lived with my abuser and once I left I thought about relationships (never have had sex due to how I was raised,) and now I'm like holy shit... don't know that I want that... men do no love women. There is so much evidence of harm with sex that is devoid of empathy and affection and yet that shit is mocked as "vanilla" and being chocked, slapped, and hit while being name called is the norm... fucking terrifying. …

Pedo culture; he wants a woman with smooth, immature, pink labia, which a very very small portion of women have but 100% of little girls have. Porn is pedophilic. He's repulsed by female anatomy, basically.

My plan is to cultivate and build my life, and as I heal my childhood traumas, just to start to he open and available, and see how things go; I prefer the "natural" route of running into those with common interests and values while I'm seeking myself out verses hunting for men on dating apps and shit, cause that shit sounds scary. Anyway, fully agree with this! Better to be happy single and have things "fall into line" with the right person then to be hungry for relationships to fulfill you.

I love midnight bike rides and runs. I'm not afraid to go out after dark. I grew up with my attacker. Being outside felt safer. Still feels safer. Done this for 10 years. You're more likely to be sexually assaulted by someone who you're suppose to be safe around and trust then a stranger. A stranger has less motive and incentive and most people are unwinding at night. That's my explanation ^ to people when they rant about it being unsafe for me to go out at night, saying I'm "asking to get raped…

Pointing out that men disrespect women is disrespectful to MEN. How damn convenient. Better hush and continue to be disrespected; that's what they really want from us. Gaawwwd. The "have you talked to him" lines... if you need to explain basic human decency to a grown ass adult, you're dating a man child and need to bounce! Omg there was a post where this woman shared her bf ignored her except for sex. A few pulled the "have you talked to him" line. Ffs, it literally says "he IGNORES ME except for sex" the fuck is this? Probably because narcissists do the reverse and hide their coldness behind a squishy front lol. Their mask. I completely agree though. I've been a target of narcissists too. We have goodness in our souls and they lack it and want to suck it out. They don't call them "emotional vampires" for nothing!

Ok everyone; I wouldn't put toothepaste on someone's cookies nor do I think that's ok I was just saying this seems more like emotional abuse to me than a "prank".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/04/20 09:39 PM

That was a bad example, but you can do silly things to surprise someone or make them laugh. This is publicly degrading Someone and humiliating them and abuse of someone's feelings, coaxed as a "joke." Hardly a "prank." I mean to me this is just flat out abuse....
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/04/20 08:35 AM

I mean, putting toothpaste in someone's Oreos might be rude but it's not cruel. Pranks don't have to be cruel... that's men hijacking in the same way they hijacked dark humor to claim it's ok to mock rape victims...

"I don't care if he gets on to another girl on a screen" why. Why. Why. This is how they excuse their behavior I wish women collectively would refuse to date wankers. They'd be either doomed to he alone forever or forced to shape up. This shit has me so misanthropic and sad. How can you even feel sexual attraction to a man like this... lack of emotional connection is so empty Deep down everyone knows misogyny and porn is wrong I'm so tired of the normalization of woman hate.

This is also so true. This guy I dated, his friend liked me and resented me for not dating him. "Why do you like him and not me?" Gee, asking me if I dream of having sex with you and that kind of commentary and overall arrogance gee idk.

OMG.... I totally downplayed this... so my rose colored memory of my first dates and "oh they're so sweet unlike their friends..." makes me wonder now. Shit. Again we are learning here I am so glad I joined. 😮

God, what a load of bullshit. So many women will seek therapy and talk about bettering themselves before dating whereas men just like... think having a dick entitles them to women. If they ghost after 2 months they're obviously not ready it's so sick how they feel so entitled to do that.

Side note I am so glad I joined here I'm learning so much! Your questions and comments are enlightening. Cause I genuinely have always wondered about this (men not liking their wives... so many of them... always wondered why it makes no sense.) the reasons are repugnant, but sound about right...

It's a shame most men are honestly just a disappointment... they could be better, they choose not to.

Same. I like, don't want it unless I'm drowning in it. I want a relationship that makes me feel eruophic and loved and someone who is a wanker or some shit isn't going to do it for me and I for the life of me don't understand why so many women settle when they're unhappy, whether it's his porn use, she barely sees him, he minimizes her feelings, etc, why? I think so many conform to this idea that if you're single you can't be happy or you look unsuccessful and like a "loner" which is bullshit. I…

My first relationship is one of the first spaces I learned human decency. I honestly never expected much, my "father" was abusive and I was also raised religious and learned to view myself as something to make others feel happy and fulfilled and thought of guys as a source of validation and feeling wanted. I didn't expect much. I remember I went to this party with this guy I was started to see and was getting mocked by my friends and I just didn't react and stuffed it down; I'm good at poker fac…

This is why I'm working to heal childhood trauma before dating. I relate to this. I'm also the type to idealize basic human decency and kindness... and that's so bad cause kindness can be faked or used to emotionally manipulate.

Omfg. This was/is my father. Most abusive man I've ever met. I didn't make the connection with that till now. These men are also usually very insecure... they put things first, before people. They don't really view people, especially women, as people honestly. Noted.

I'm so repulsed by men who do this to women... I'm glad you realized you deserved better and left. That sounds terrible. (I totally understand why women do it. It's trauma it's just sick how willing men are to do this to women...)

Living alone is the best. Go to bed when I want, wake up when I want, bathroom with the door open, watch whatever I want, no pants, etc.
