Tldr:Open marriages are a raw deal for men. Women who want open marriages want to have their cake and eat it to. The whole point of marriage is monogamy; a man provides for a woman and in exchange she only has sex with her husband. If you want to have an open relationship go for it, but for fuck's sake don't get married. When and if you grow tired of your wife fucking the town you'll have to go through a divorce versus simply telling her you've had it and kicking her ass to the curb. I don't thi…

I mean, women can have whatever standards they want, but I'm sick of them pretending they're doomed to be forever alone when they exclude the majority of the male population from the start. That's what makes this "shortage" so ridiculous. There are plenty of eligible men which women refuse to consider because reasons. I'm curious to see the level of cries from women asking "where have all the good men gone" in 10-15 when dating / marriage is even more fucked than it is now. Will women, on a mass…

It's cruel irony for nice guystm because they're being shunned simply for questioning, or maybe being bitter that what they've been told to be successful with women(sometimes by women) isn't working. There's even a sub-reddit, /r/niceguys where people ridicule so called nice guystm, convincing themselves that nice guystm are bigger assholes than the actual assholes. /u/girlwriteswhat has a good video about nice guys and why women respond to them the way they do.

/r/MensRights28/07/15 06:55 PM

But seriously, this is from Tinder, you don't have to look very hard at profiles to notice the trend, women have descriptions to make people swipe left to avoid getting swamped with matches that wont lead anywhere anyway, men have descriptions to make women swipe right to try to get more matches. On tinder dick is abundant and low value

I saw this video a couple of years ago and it's one of the things that made me realize that in a lot of cases men are suffering and nobody gives a fuck. This clip is from a nationally(US) broadcast daytime talk show, so mainstream culture. After the incident the hosts gave a half hearted apology that was clearly a joke to them. None of the hosts were fired, and the show was not cancelled. The most poignant part of the video is not the hosts laughing and joking about the victims suffering(don't g…

No matter how you feel about polyamory, no sane wife would tolerate her husband putting time and money into a booty call when both are scarce resources. Women, OTOH, can walk into almost any bar and walk out with a sex partner. There is no equality of opportunity in heterosexual open marriages. Yeah it just seems like open relationships are a raw deal for the majority of men. We're still bound by our relationship obligations, but odds are we're not going to be able to reap the benefits of openne…

That said, the only couples I've really seen it work for are ones where the guy is top-10% "alpha" guy. Because the lack of success for the guy compared to his wife leads to feelings of resentment and jealousy?
/r/MensRights16/07/15 09:27 PM

I don't believe it. He says he doesn't exercise that right often (read: not at all, and if he did there would be trouble). He probably has to put in significantly more effort (unless he's a Chad Thundercock) than his wife just to get a fraction of the partners she gets. It just might not be worth all the effort for maybe getting the chance to have sex with someone other than his wife.

I believe my girlfriend has cheated on me and she is pregnant with our child. Who's to say the child is yours? If you think she's cheating then you have to consider the possibility that you are not the father of her unborn child. In addition to whatever other action you're planning, I would get a paternity test if you're pretty certain she's cheating.

Then there’s the fact that many women would have already outlaid the equivalent of a lobster and champagne meal on her pre-date prep: new frock, shoes, manicure, pedicure, wax, blow-dry ... this stuff doesn’t grow on trees, fellas. So it's not enough for her to go out and spend some time with someone, she wants to be compensated for the effort she put into the date. Is it me or does this sound like a fucked up form of prostitution?

So this Kirill guy has a website on which he posts tits/ass pics of girls who want him to take their picture. As far as I can tell his claim to fame is his website. So when these girls have him take their picture they most likely know about the site and that their pics will end up on it. Keeping this in mind, it makes their emails more ridiculous.

I saw a segment about this on the news earlier today. Un-fucking believable.
/r/MensRights08/04/15 02:47 AM

Their endgame consists of hot men feeling attracted to even the sluttiest, fattest, ugliest and nastiest women while undesireable men are too scared to even look a woman's way. I think part of this agenda is the fat acceptance movement.
/r/MensRights07/04/15 05:37 PM

According to Chris Ryan, the co-author of the book Sex at Dawn life long monogamous marriage is something that began at the dawn of the agricultural age thousands of years ago. Before that, human sexual relations were more promiscuous. If the conclusions drawn in the book are true then the decline of marriage is simply a side effect of human sexual relations tending towards how they were in the distant past.
/r/MensRights07/04/15 03:07 PM

Also explains why employers go for married men and discriminate against unmarried men. Source?
/r/MensRights04/04/15 06:55 PM
3

Utter rubbish. The whole article talks about how married men make more money, presumably because they have a family to support. What the article fails to mention is that those married men have more bills to pay and quite possibly will end up with less wealth than their single peers.
/r/MensRights04/04/15 06:50 PM
5

Masochism?
/r/MensRights04/04/15 06:15 PM

It also says that they expect whoever asks the other out on the date to pay the bill, which seems reasonable to me. I'd think it's reasonable too if women were just as likely to ask men out on dates which isn't even close to being a true statement. It's a cop out, they get to appear as though they're for dating equality without having to actually give up their privilege.
/r/MensRights04/04/15 06:14 PM

Sarcasm because it's not something I would actually entertain since I want an equal partner who won't have a hissy fit paying for her part of a date. Barefoot because it alludes to the stereotypical barefoot and pregnant housewife of a bygone era, which I'm mocking.
/r/MensRights04/04/15 05:34 PM

I've said this before and I'll say it again. From now on if a woman demands that I pay for a date, I'll buy groceries for the meal that she's going to cook and clean up for us, while barefoot. If I'm expected to show that I can protect and provide then she has to show that she can serve and submit. /s Seriously though, grown up adults should pay for their own shit on dates.

We use multiple forms of birth control as neither of us want kids. If she did become pregnant(possible, but very unlikely), abortion is not ruled out. If we did decide to keep the baby we would raise it and if we split up I would support the child(child support and/or custody), none of which requires me to be married. Of course, if you’re simply looking for sex, not a partner, why are you bothering with dinner at all? There are enough hook up websites around to make meeting up for drinks (who cares who pays?) then ‘fun’ absurdly easy. Moral of the story, don't "date" just do hookups. It's cheaper and more fun!

If the answer is no then she can't really claim harassment. Some of the stuff in the video is creepy(the guys who follow her), but someone saying hello or God bless you is harassment? I don't think so.

I'm sorry but did you say 2.5 tb of porn?... How many full length movies do you own man? That's a lot of fucking porn! (Yes "fucking" was intended") Yep 2.5 Tb, it's hundreds of movies. I rent the DVDs and rip them. I've been doing it for about 10 years. What can I say, I like porn lol.
/r/MensRights15/10/14 02:19 AM

Hahahahah! I grew up in Rhode island! Porn: 2.5 tb Video games: love the civilization series and galactic civ 2. Beer pong: I hate drinking games Fantasy football: meh, I do watch football though. Family guy: it's funny but I don't watch it on a regular basis. Employment: Programmer with a 80-90K salary. Am I immature? Fuck no.

Specifically, I admire men who are controlled, confident and who fulfill their biological destiny as protectors and providers. Men are essential for training boys to tame the testosterone and channel their natural strengths and aggressiveness in appropriate ways. Trained men are, in the words of columnist Dennis Prager, the glory of civilization. Fuck you, Patrice Lewis

Hate to burst your bubble, but they're talking about the new iPhone Not really. Maybe she was throwing innuendos the way she was to be funny, but I think it alludes to a double standard since if the jokes(of a sexual nature) were directed at women there would be outrage.

Please... I'm expected to wine and dine them so they can work up enough desire to let me give them their multiple orgasms. Yep, dating is all about what women want. It's a pain in the fucking ass.

Of note: You aren't paying for sex. You are paying them to leave. That's an interesting way to look at it.

If you really, really, need to get that 'oh yeah, i had sex with a real woman' feeling to make you feel like you are a man, you are not getting MGTOW. Couldn't agree with you more.

Paying for sex is like going to a restaurant and ordering a meal which is made with fake ingredients. You can eat it, but it won't taste like the real thing, the flavor will be off. Sure you can convince yourself what you're eating is the real deal, but it's not and never will be. Don't pay for sex, get a fleshlignt. I can guarantee that the fleshlignt will give a damn about you, and get just as much enjoyment out of the experience as a sex worker. Plus the fleshlignt isn't liable to hate men. W…

Well I'll help out men and women in minor ways(hold the door open for the person behind me walking into the gas station, etc.) What's changed, is I don't give women special treatment because they're women. Also I refuse to be taken advantage of by anyone. I'm not chivalrous, but I'm sometimes courteous.

Have you made a backup of the text messages? If you have an android phone you could use [SMSBackup] ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zegoggles.smssync). I would also take screenshots of the text convo and save them. You want to have backups of those messages on case something happens to your phone.

This is spot on. Something the article apparently missed is that when two (childless) people start dating, they should both put an equal effort financially and emotionally into the situation. That is equal. And later down the road, if they divide up working and homemaking/child rearing duties, that is equal also. Exactly. She's basically advocating writing off men who want to go dutch on a first / early date(s) and naively projecting the supposed wrongness of that to every aspect and level of th…

They refuse to see things from anyone else's perspective. Either you're a man and you pay for dates or you're worthless.
/r/MensRights17/02/14 05:01 PM

Yeah plus their "the man should pay attitude" is kind of non-sensical when two guys go on a date lol. So for you personally, do you like to go dutch on dates? Is that the more common approach?
/r/MensRights17/02/14 04:11 PM
12

Also, the general attitude on that site seems to be that a man is only a man if he fulfills his traditional gender roles i.e. paying for dates.
/r/MensRights17/02/14 03:45 PM
21

That approach would work great in general if men and women asked each other out, but when it comes to dating men ask women out far more than the other way around. Glad to hear that you offer to pay for dates though.
/r/MensRights17/02/14 03:38 PM

And yes relationships should be all about fairness. But, a man paying for the whole date is anything but fair.
/r/MensRights17/02/14 03:34 PM

What bothers me most is their stance that the man must fulfill his traditional gender role and pay for the date and that failure to do so makes him a terrible person

It's annoying how she talks about men in regards to how we've served women throughout the ages i.e. inventing things to make women's lives easier. Apparently under feminism 2.0 men still exist to serve women, we'll just get more respect for it now. Fuck that.
/r/MensRights15/02/14 10:35 PM

I'd say no. This does serve as a good example why everyone should configure their phone to require a passcode/passphrase/pattern to unlock their phone.

I do want to see that. There are no theaters close by that are showing it so I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD or streaming. It seems like the only safe thing for a guy in college to do in this day and age is to simply not fool around with women and never be alone with any one woman. If you don't have sex with them they can't claim they raped you and you'll always have witnesses. It sucks but in this day and age where the burden of proof for sexual assault as decided by a college tribunal is so low it's the only guaranteed solution. Sure most interactions won't be an issue, but all it takes is one, and it will negativ…

This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off. I think it's disrespectful and wrong to shame someone(men and women) because they're a certain way. Some people may say it's just meant to be a joke, but it's hurtful to someone. If a short dude sees that add it'll potentially make them feel like crap, not cool in my book.
