All of you are right about the validation sex. Its been pointed out in the past by others. At what point does wanting sex in your marriage and not getting it become a deal breaker? I ran dread. It worked more often than not most of the year. Without getting all she/her, I don't see a way to fix the current situation. You're also right that ultimately it's my call. Fix the man. I've been working on the man. I've got a ways to go. But there's been progress. My flaws will follow me relationship to …

Varying my exercises a lot to work on different muscles. Instead of squats, leg press and similar machines, etc. Still benching at least 2x weekly, it's my favorite. Going to start 8x8 program when I return from family vacation mid-next week. Goal: To get fucked 2-3x weekly. This used to happen in my marria…

Somewhere I got lazy. Wife took an early AM job and just isn't available. Is it my fault? Hers? Who cares. Control what I can. Lifting is stable. Weight is good, could be even better. Clothes and grooming are good. Career is okay. Pay is good but hours suck. My personality and frame are still shit. I need to be social. Sociable. Get fun hobbies. Better beta divorce. I know the concepts, but having the balls to apply them is different. I'm going to do weird shit and you're going to call me a reta…

Why? Like I know I'm dense. I have major work to do. There will always be something. But I'm not going to let the perfect get in the way of the good. Three people have told me the same thing. Is the message I don't have the frame/tools to manage it? Fine. Let me fail. I'm already putting myself out there. I may go down in flames. Game is my weakest area and reading abstract concepts and going back and forth forever with a wife I don't particularly like (so I'm not really into leading her, workin…

My action at this point is to meet new women. There are a lot of things I need to work on regardless. Reinforce purging myself of nice guy behaviors such as covert contracts. Assertiveness training. Further developing my ability to get what I want in my current marriage. All of that is beside the point. Very specifically, does it hurt more or help more to be married when dating?

OYS 24 43, wife 43, young kid, married 8, together 14. 202.4 lbs, 5'10" I felt something I haven't felt in a long time. Pissed off/frustrated with work. Like I was with my marriage when I found these tools. What have I done with it? I've updated my linked in profile. I've updated my resume. I've started placing more emphasis on projects/tasks whose success I can speak to in interviews. I've started browsing job postings, looking for something that matches my skillset. More to come. OYS 23 42, young kid, married 8, together 13. 5'10", 201.6 lbs Bpress 231, squat 265. Lifting heavy 3-5x a week. Lifting failure My attempt to go lower in weight every other set of compound exercises hasn't resulted in me being able to lift more. But I've read it will help with form and definition, so I'm going to stick with it. To increase lifting power, I've incorporated working out my upper body in other ways. OYS 22 42, young kid, married 7, 5'10", 204.2 lbs Lifting I've plateaued at 247 BPress, 255 squat, and 135 S Press. I think my upper body plateaus in particular are due to a lack of endurance. I can do 253 lbs 5x5 some days, but not the majority. I'll get through 2-3 sets and then have to deload. I've started deloading every other day I do those exercises. 80%, 5 reps of 8 to build endurance. I've only done it once so far. Felt great afterward. OYS 21 42, young kid, married 7, together 13. 5'10", 204.2 lbs. I had a dead bedroom I was freaking out about, but it's fixed for now. I found a lot of problems to fix under that. They have not been fixed. Lifting BPress 247 5x5, OHP 135 5x5, Squat 255 5x5. Found out my max bench, 1 rep, is 275 lbs. Why do you need a third party (such as a counseler) for you to be honest with your wife? You're looking to offload responsibility and blame for making your wife unhappy onto someone else. That alone will make you feel emasculated and turn your wife off. The roots of your unwillingness to perform inside the bedroom may just be the same as your unwillingness to stand up for yourself outside of it. Are you anxious about asserting yourself in the bedroom? Do you quietly seeth at night after she fail…

I failed twice on BPress (safety straps were in place) at 242. Not sure why. Got plenty of sleep. I'm worried it's my diet. But maybe it's because I just did 5x5 OHP. On the vaccine thing. The worst that can happen is either I set a precedent where she thinks it's okay to unilaterally make terrible decisions without my input, or we get divorced. Beung honest with myself, I don't want to blow up my marriage. It's part gambler's fallacy, part scarcity. I've invested 18 months into making the marriage good enough for me, sans this one thing. Also, I don't know if I want to comb through the leftovers if I leave my wife. Like I've got a loyal 6-7 in hand, but what…

My reply is usually the simple “OK”, or “I’m not going to listen to you criticize me anymore." This is a good reply: plain, direct, and non-needy. Are you following up with walking away and keeping her from reigniting the conversation? "then we should talk about next steps (ie divorce),” Are you trying to escalate the conversation or call her bluff? I can see it going both ways, depending on HER reaction. Not sure if that's a good tactic. This BS is usually followed up in the morning by, “sorry …

Work on your writing style. It's too vague to be descriptive, and there was a looong paragraph in there that I think was important, but I glossed over because I'm not parsing through it. Also vague are your goals. Let's look at the fitness ones: (1) Raise my SMV 2 points higher. What does that mean and how will you measure it? (2) Build bigger, well-defined muscle and get stronger. Suggestions: Bench xxx lbs. Get to x% body fat. (3) Cut body fat See #2 (4) Get out of the house 2 hours a day for …

Shame is how I plan to get her onboard in the likely event she doesn't follow my lead. She simply doesn't on all child care issues, and that's my fault for letting her do it all for 5.5 years. I haven't been able to flip that dynamic yet. Vaccinations are a proxy for that. The fallout from shame, I think, will be her feeling hurt for a few weeks, and then eventually adapting. The best I can tell, it was made out of fear. Her justification changes. Sometimes it's fear of adverse reactions in general. Sometimes it's fear of egg allergies. Sometimes she's okay with it but wants to read some more about it. Sometimes it's mistrust of pharmaceutical companies. I think the last one is most congruent with her behavior. She's just not a trusting person. So reason won't work. Thus, shame.

Does it seem like a good idea to take out a loan equivalent to 42% of your current savings to put a dent in someone's medical bills? Can you start a Gofundme instead and get the same results? You need to ask yourself what you're getting out of this. If it's a covert contract: she likes you better, her family likes you better, you gain some kind of reputation as generous, etc., don't do it.

He's controversial because he opposes woke grandstanding. To answer your more interesting question, I think JP has some great political and psychological insights, which are useful when you're trying to figure out general human behavior. But I think his relationship models center too much around negotiation, which is a recipe for a gynocentric dead bedroom.

Women typically disqualify themselves if they think a guy is way out of their league. So a girl who's self-conciously a 5 will avoid guys who are 8's. It's like when you start getting your shit together and homely girls start ignoring you in a good way. I think Pook alluded to this. Average girls are intimidated by very high quality men, for the same reason they avoid blue pill men. The pressure on them to be more than what they already are scares them off. It's too much effort to be blue pill g…

You're taking it too seriously. Read The Book of Pook (again?). It'll teach you that you're supposed to be having fun. Once you're having fun, no matter what she does, (1) it'll give you stronger frame because you won't be concerned with what she does, and (2) it'll put her in a position to follow your lead and be happy with you, or be miserable and left behind.

I'd say the #1 thing is purging yourself of unattractive behaviors. Don't be a "nice guy." Don't be needy. Don't engage in validation seeking. Don't be more emotionally invested in her, than she is in you. Don't pursue if she's not showing any interest. Don't be an orbiter.

Nope. Now don't get me wrong, women are great at sniffing out male vulnerability and neediness. And an average woman can run laps around an average guy in terms of short-term relationship experience. But I think women are generally confused and intimidated by male sexuality, to the point that being asked out or incidentally exposed to tone deaf jokes can feel like real harassment. I also think of women who try to maintain dead bedroom relationships by doing everything but having sex with their g…

Being honest about what turns women on.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:44 PM

Preselection is essentially a mental shortcut women use to help vet men for quality. If other women think a guy is attractive enough to fuck, swoon over, or date/marry, that's pre-selection. There's also a status dynamic in play. If other women want to fuck you, and she's the one who actually gets you, she gets to flex on them just by being with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:20 PM

Men are at their most attractive in their mid to late 30's. That doesn't mean they garner the same attention as most any women under 40, because women experience an abundance men can't even comprehend. Also, don't conflate male sexuality with female sexuality. They're going after different things.

It might apply in terms of being able to get high quality men to commit to them, but in terms of just sex, no. A typical hard 4 can go on Tinder, and if her standards are low enough, she can get laid in 24 hours. That's not true for guys.

Is this just a hypothetical, or do you have a real problem? Assuming the former: it takes more than alpha behaviors to keep your girl in check. You have to throw her some comfort from time to time. Agreed. When you're offered sex at every turn like women are, you'd have to to learn to be somewhat avoidant in order to just live. And if all women have to be somewhat dismissive/avoidant, then AWALT to ensure you're always taking that into account makes sense. The problem with avoidance is that is that it eventually drives vulnerable/anxious men away, the type who more readily offer commitment. I also think it's the opposite. TRP is almost like training for anxious men on how to be avoidant, so they can better attract women. So much of the TRP is focused on putting a lid on your emotions. Spin plates to avoid being too attached to one person. Mentally prime yourself for disappointment ("she's not yours, it's just your turn"). Because most women, even average looking ones, get blasted with at least occasionally with unwanted attention from thristy guys. So it's hard for them to get excited about even more attention. Also, too much attention puts pressure on women to reciprocate, and they haaate that. If you're aloof, but friendly, you're signaling that you're not thirsty, but you also don't hate them. But if she's willing to be alone with you in a room, you might be able to rekindle her desire by starting an argument and giving her space to emote. Beta is comfort and safety. And you need a little bit of beta/comfort behaviors in seduction, especially LTRs. But here's the deal. If you're not putting yourself out there as a sexual being, and all you're offering is comfort, you're just not going to get laid very often. Other notes: being needy isn't an alpha (tingles inducing) behavior. Nor is being tone deaf (pushy). But refusing to assert your own needs and desires isn't healthy, either.

For starters, no one is perfect. And any woman who is chasing perfect is likely an alpha widow or someone else destined to live the domestic ideal vicariously through their nieces and nephews. You have to be high value, but also attainable. Women self-select for guys they think are just above them. 7's (edit: all women who think they're 7's) pine for 8's and 9's. So any girl with a sliver of self-awareness is going to ignore guys way out of their league. It's like they're intimidated by them. It…

It's probably fine in the short term, especially if she likes to have sex a lot. Her bringing lube is a good sign. In the long term, it's going to end up in dead bedrooms type relationship because she seems to want total control over the bedroom dynamic. Long term, you're going to have to game the shit out of her if you want to have sex on your terms sometimes. Dread game and all that.

I think women do love their LTRs in their own way, but it's post hoc justification of their tingles and maybe their desire for comfort being temporarily satisfied. Guys will fall for their LTRs when they're younger, and then the wife goggles go on. We believe in love for the sake of love. We get so ego-invested in the idea of being in love, we'll cling to women and make excuses for their crappy behavior as long as we have their simple companionship. That's usually enough to satisfy us. Men love …

It sounds like a massive hassle. Twice as much shit to organize, clean, and maintain. Where is the spatula? Your kitchen or mine? And if you think dead bedrooms and jealousy are a problem now, wait until you're sleeping separately every night.

Guys will mess up a good thing looking for cheap thrills outside of their LTR. Women will monkey branch when they think their guy isn't the shit anymore, and they've secured a better potential option.

I think this is true in a narrow sense, and is a big reason why so many men are blue pill. They pedestalize women and romance. They end up relying on women for validation and guidance, and consequently, become dependent on female charity. This results in a weird dehumanization of women as mysterious validation objects, instead of real people with real desires and real flaws. When the blue pill nice guys realize that women aren't playing the role of doting Mommy, they sperg out, or worse.

Anything you do in order to seek approval from others. Like showing off how smart you are, humble bragging about your "old" designer watch, or hovering over your crush just in case she notices you. If you wouldn't do it if people didn't react, it might be validation seeking.

Lmao. Next time you bring a female friend out, don't let her be your wing woman, she will have no idea what she's doing. If she insists, leave and let her take an Uber home. The best she can do is let other women see you interacting with her in a friendly way. Make her laugh and light KINO. Her best role here is communicating pre-selection.

Plate is a specific description. I'm fucking this girl, but it's not serious. She's a plate. Again, if you're so emotionally wrapped up in women that you generically refer to them as whores, etc., you're doing it wrong. Which isn't to say those can't be specific descriptions as well. Outcome independence is contingent on indifference, not anger.

Don't worry about the hive. You can't control it, and female power dynamics are too evolutionary and subtle to be worth trying to wrestle with. The best thing you can do vis a vie her friends is be quiet. Non-threatening, but also not creepy. As for how much power it has over her, it depends. I'm probably too old (42M) to really take advantage of it, but I would do it for like a year just to experience how easy it is to get sexual attention with a traditonally female experience. Hell, women need sexual harassment law to get a break from it. But I wouldn't do it long term because women have less control over their SMV than men because it's so contingent on their youth and appearance.

Wut? I think your logic is backwards. Nothing about being sub in bed suggests being dominant professionally. But, if someone is professional, buttoned up, and in charge all week, hell yeah I'm going to guess they enjoy being sub in the bedroom because that's a release from a restrictive life. Their personality is the same. Their behaviors in certain contexts can be different.

It means being aware of, and accepting that there are differences between men and women. It means you are owning your own shit.

Anytime you have to communicate to your girl that she's acting badly (and she already knows it) you're basically begging her to not do it. With that said, women are experts at plausible deniability. That's why you have to be the one who escalates and give them excuses to have sex with you when you're getting LMR. So communicate one time that this is a boundary of yours. Be clear. Be calm. I mean, it's a terrible crime, and it happens. No idea how prevalent. Always assume the numbers being given to you by advocacy groups are at the far end of the statistical bell curve because those will have the most emotional impact. But the feminist approach to combating it has been twisted by left wing assumptions about sex and power. That's the subtext behind "rape culture." So take what you're getting with a grain of salt and think critically about it.

I still have some simpy beta behaviors I pull out during an LTR, because you can't keep a girl on lock with 100% alpha game. Small doses of beta (comfort-inducing) behaviors are necessary. If you go all alpha, all the time on your LTR, sooner or later she'll be trading heart memes with some non-lifting BP asshole who couldn't get her wet if he threw her into the ocean.

Walk away or Amused Mastery. If she's upset to the point of tears, holding calm frame is like catnip to her. AA can work, in theory, but for me, it tends to come off as dismissive when my girl is angry.

Chad is Chad because he exhibits alpha behaviors. Behaviors that make women wet. Being decisive. Being daring enough to be inappropriate. Being wanted by other women. Not worrying about losing any one girl because there are plenty more he can get. Chad doesn't care what she thinks. Chad doesn't pretend to like sushi becaue she does. Chad doesn't care if she frowns upon him for being a player. Chad can be a provider, but he doesn't have to be. Sometimes he smokes pot all day and wears a tracking …

The Red Pill is a set of tools, that's all. Some guys have some of these tools already, without having to wrap their heads around the theory. Terms such as hypergamy, alpha widow, and beta bux are alien to them. I have one friend who's a natural seducer. He builds easy relationships with women, isn't afraid to be strategically inappropriate, and follows something like a 2 for 3 text rule. He's not RP. I know because I blabbed about TRP to him when I was just starting to really get into it. I was…

Learn dread. Apply it to the bedroom and the bank account. Once you get a main event, reset boundaries. If she doesn't work with you, the stay plan is the same as the go plan. Not that you know what any of that means right now. Read: Start with Athol Kay-Married Man's Sex Life Primer.

Three things: One. AWALT. 16 to 60. Lesbian or straight. I didn't want to believe this one. It takes a bit of nuance. Obviously some women are more anxious, experienced, etc. But fundamentally, all women are repulsed by neediness and weakness, and attracted to alpha behaviors-that's what makes them alpha behaviors. And no matter how they present themselves publicly, they will act as if. They will treat needy men like dirt even if they're married to them, have worked with them for years, and/or t…

Don't compromise for her. Do it for you. You are your own judge. If your cognitive dissonance over being a hypocrite bothers YOU, stop doing it. If it's creating real problems for you (girl doesn't trust you, boss won't promote you), adapt. Simple, but not easy.

Gah. This straddles the line between shit and comfort tests. It's probably a bit of both. She is anxious about the comfort you're giving her, to the point she is being direct with you about it and is willing to talk about it in person (with some coaxing). But...her focus seems to be as much about your behavior as her feelings. She says that YOU need to show affection. She says YOU need to text her because she's trying to control the medium. Even though she's being needy, she still wants to be in…

Any girl? That's bullshit. You can make yourself more attractive in general, but if you're not a girl's type, you can't negotiate her desire. That type of thinking is how blue pill guys get caught up pestering/harassing women they should be nexting.
/r/askTRP03/01/21 01:16 PM

If you're sorry you promoted her, why are you keeping her around? You're more emotionally invested than she is. As long as that is true, she's going to play you like a fiddle whether or not you have kids. Walk away and see if she chases. If she doesn't, move on.

Here's my current understanding. A&A isn't falling into her frame. It's playfully highlighting how ridiculous her shit test is. And that's it. It not the foundation for a new conversation. It's a rejection of her premise with a smiley face. Ex: You're too thin. Response: Shit. That's why I keep slipping through the shower drain. You don't have to be hilarious. Just light and dismissive.

You can't. He has to come around on his own. If he comes to you complaining about talking to Sally for months online, only to for her to tell him he's a good platonic friend, share some wisdom with him. Maybe he'll internalize something. Otherwise, let him make his own way. Forcing others to act a certain way, even if it's clearly in their best interests, is antithetical to everything I know about TRP. You can't negotiate good decision making or something.

Listen to this man. Your focus should be on you. She should be reacting to your needs. But you're focused on her. Stop it. You're already in her frame. Ignore her comments about stoicism. Or use A&A. Or amused mastery. The fundamentals are your answer. If she still pleads for comfort, and it's worth it to you, give her a little bit. But don't get all beta, because she doesn't know that's going to dry her panties before March comes around.

I've never heard that. I have heard that some women are intimidated by "good" men. Like the idea of having to keep up with a high-achieving guy is too scary. But physical attraction is visceral. When people are truly attracted to someone like that, they don't think that rationally.

Chateau Heartiste. Jumbotron rule of texting. His words. RS just did a video about this, too. If it were given a public airing, let’s say on a blog or a sports stadium jumbotron, you should feel comfortable with what you have written for the world to see. You should not feel an urge to wince, because it will be clear to everyone reading it how alpha you are. If the thought of someone other than you and your girl reading your permanently archived romantic exchanges makes you cringe with embarrass…

You're overthinking it. Could be a thousand things. I would generally caution against being complacent. Being clever and energetic might get you status when you're 23, but you need to develop real substance to hold value when you get older.

I would say that women's appearance can give them the easiest path to intimacy, or the hardest. They can work on being seductive like Cleopatra (who was not cute) but mostly they're bound by their looks. That's one reason age hits them so hard on the dating market, and earlier. Guys, for better or worse, have an exponentially larger margin for error on the looks front, but no guy, not even a rich one, is going to be rolling in women if he's creepy or needy. No man is going to have it as easy dat…

What are your expectations? You said that you are pretty good at sealing the deal with women who like you, but then women aren't attracted to you? Not everyone is going to like you. Next and move on. You can't negotiate desire. Otherwise, lift, hold frame at all costs, and don't act unattractive. Imagine you are lying in bed with two other women, but are amused by the one you are talking to. What does that feel like? Act as if.

How old are you? Your SMV is highest towards your late 30's, regardless of her age. Why aren't you spinning plates? Yes, protect yourself from oneitis. She won't care if you're taken. Pre-selection, right? If you're right about her interest, logistics are key here. How are you going to get in the same room alone with her? If she sleeps with you, you've seduced her. What am I missing here?

Attraction is primal, so as long as you're not pushing her away by arguing with her, there's no reason it can't work. Just shut up about your POV.

Don't be butthurt about being rejected, but respect yourself, too. Basically, ask youself if it's worth being her backup option. For me, that would mean light flirting/something casual, but not something serious.

You really, truly have to develop an IDGAF attitude, or else you're going to self-sabotage almost every time. Two perspectives have helped me develop the correct mindset. One, the purpose of the game is the game. Yes, it's a lie, sort of, but if you learn to take pleasure in the chase, and not be distracted by the end goal, it'll keep you from getting the feels. Two. Have an abundance mindset. So what if this plate drops? You can't control what women are attracted to. Some women think Geroge Clo…

That's why you work on yourself first, which is a staple of the few PUA forums I am familiar with. Once you are confident in who you are, sans relationship, there is no faking it. To reiterate: Faking confidence is stupid advice. I suspect the majority of PUAs would agree.
