To tag onto this, we do see God in the Old Testament repeatedly taking the Israelites back after they cheated on him countless times. There is biblical justification for divorce on grounds of sexual immorality and in which case, God could have completely divorced the Israelites, but he didn't. The ideal would be to seek reconciliation with your ex-wife. That reconciliation would not look like you begging her though. God never begged the Israelites to come back to him. He powerfully commanded the…

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matt 5:28. Sounds like you're still hamstering.

Now, Have I broken frame? Am I damaging my relationship with God? Is it too late to change the course of the relationship if this is indeed bad? If you are in Christ’s frame (waiting for sexual intimacy until marriage), then yes, you have broken frame. It is not too late to change the course of the relationship. Part of me feels this is not wrong and it should not be this complicated, however, what does God think about it, not what Church Culture thinks! All the ways of a man are pure in his own…

What sort of accountability do you have in your life right now? Are you guys putting yourself in a tempting situation continually? Like are you guys pretty much alone at your house or her house alone all the time? If so, stop doing that. Get a roommate until you get married. Don't put yourself in a tempting place. Also you handled it correctly in my opinion.

Yeah that would be an ideal. Unfortunately, God wired us different lol.

The biggest problem we are facing right now is that she wants to leave this church. And go to another Church or just leave Church altogether? Assuming that she wants to go to another Church I would tell her that if you decide to marry her you guys will be going to the same church because wives are commanded to submit to their husbands Eph 5:22-24. If she doesn't want to be a part of your vision (that includes going to this Church) then that is her choice. You should be indifferent when you tell …

Yes, are commanded to love are wives. But we are only capable of loving our wife to the degree that Christ calls us to by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22 Christ loves us based on who He is, not who we are or what we do. His mission was to do the Father's will. In that we were given eternal life and so much more. In like manner, Christian husbands should love their wives based off of …

Thanks for the tag brotha. Looks like you and u/RedPillWonder killed it! LOL I read a little bit on the emotional investment part of things since I posted about it recently. Emotional Investment: the degree to which your emotions/thoughts are preoccupied with someone or something. This can range from no attachment to being so attached that your decisions are dictated by your emotional/mental (happiness/security/self-worth/ect) need for someone or something. Aren't we really all? Yes, but there is a visible difference between somebody that claims to be Christian and somebody that is genuinely Christian. So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:17 If she came clean and admitted it i would believe her that she was repentant. It would be good if she repented, but if she did not follow that up with works and show that by God's power her life is transformed, then her words are empty. Always judge a person by their actions and …

Fairly common. Checkout what the scriptures say : "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7:13‭-‬14 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; d…

Fair enough on the first point. I think the Bible is very clear on what a defines a Christian is. Here's what the Bible says: But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:17 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. James 2:24 There will be a very noticable change in a person's life if they have truly been saved. If a "believer's" way of life shows they are actively …

Sounds like the girl is interested in you. Also I don't advise men discipling women. The borders between discipleship and romantic interest can often get blurred with one or both parties. If you are interested in this girl then it's up to you if you want to initiate something with her romantically (assuming that nothing sexual is happening since 1: you're Christian and 2: she's underage). Also if you do decide to initiate something with her be sure that her current mission is congruent with your…

I think you did a pretty good job coming across like you were looking for a solution and already presented the problem without sounding whiny. I feel you on the ups and downs of emotional turmoil with women. Doesn't happen to me all the time, but it's harder for me to overcome feelings of oneitis because I live in a really small retirement town with hardly any cute girls. Good job keeping up lifting (the gym helps A LOT w/emotion al turmoil), deleting her number, initiating a date with another girl, and being humble enough to admit you problem by seeking wisdom here. You sound pretty cynical. All those things may seem shallow, but they are just a outward reflection of a man's inward reality. Like a rock hard body is a reflection of consistent discipline. A rock hard body is attractive, but discipline is also attractive. A woman may not be able to articulate this very well, but on a subconscious level she knows it. This is just the way women are built and as long as $$$$ isn't the only thing they are attracted to I don't see the problem with it. That said, in…

Also I would advise you to take a break from her at the very least and work on your foundation in Christ since you already said that you guys have been sexual together. You have broken your frame in Christ with her when you caved into sexual temptation. If she gets to flirt with other guys, you get to flirt with other girls. If he wasn't in a relationship I would agree, but this isn't honoring the command "Love your neighbor as yourself." I also can't see how this is a reflection of Christ - I could be wrong, but I can't find any parallels to Christ and the church with this one. Rather than mate guarding or flirting with other women he should give his gf a warning that that kind of behavior isn't acceptable ever (while maintaining frame). Givin…

Yeah, I'm about to get some of that too. I had one of the pastors at my old church that I was pretty involved in hit me up and said he wanted to talk to me about my Christian Alpha thing and help me out. If we are going to change the way Christianity is taught then we need to be speaking to the guys that are actually teaching the congregation. Alternatively or in addition to this, along term plan would be to start teaching our boys the correct interpretation of biblical masculinity and the way femininity should be and then encourage those boys as they grow up to be men to start teaching in Bible colleges. Or in addition to that anybody that is a Bible teacher currently and that is red pill aware…

I agree, I think it is time for a move. Regardless of what this verse says implicitly or explicitly, God is very clear throughout the Bible that he wants us to congregate as the body of Christ. Not being part of a church is inhibiting areas of spiritual growth in your walk with God. Lord, I pray over my brother right now that you would just bring him into contact with a church body that is passionate for you and has a genuine faith. I pray that if he can't find this church that you would lead hi…

Being the change can also include switching churches. Just because you didn't find the right fit at one Church doesn't mean you shouldn't find another. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 😁✝

Be the change you want to see. If the church is not how it should be according to the Bible then you should be doing something about it. If you want to see a change (or find a church that is in line with God's heart - it's dogmatic to say that just because one churches like that that every church will be like that), but you are not addressing it and then letting that change your behavior it sounds like you're acting as a victim rather then a leader that God is going to use to make change.

I think it's fine. Your best bet is to just move to a location that has a larger Church community and join a bigger Church to increase your odds. If you can't do that then hopping from church to church is fine. Eventually you should have one church that you're part of. I think those convictions over years aren't necessarily from God, but from yourself. One thing I did was go to multiple College age groups, but I still had one main church that I was part of.

How can you fully love someone if you’re running yourself ragged to meet someone’s other needs and not taking care of your own? Even Jesus took time to Himself without His disciples on many occasions to go off pray, fast, and likely de-stress from the hardships of life. So yes, you must be spending time to take care of your own spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs so that you can love your wife as yourself. If you're not "loving yourself" to the standard of Christ, then you're not go…

1) just because you don't feel convicted about something doesn't mean that it's okay. God's standards are higher than our standards. Cut off contact with this girl and stop fooling around. You can't be thinking about marriage or even looking for a future spouse if you don't have a solid foundation in Christ (cutting out any habitual or active sins in your life). Even Jesus took time away for himself to pray and meditate. If you cannot meet your own needs then how do you expect to be able to meet the needs of others? When you love and serve others it's coming from the overflow of love you have in your heart. This love should be mostly from God, but you should also love & care for yourself enough that when you do serve others it's not coming from a place of people pleasing (if you are people pleasing then you are not actually serving from a place of lovin…

Would def be worth it! For me for sure! I'm going to post here tomorrow and see if anybody would be interested in a RPChristians handbook made into a pdf. TRP did it and it is still referenced. If there is other ppl interested I'd say go for it.

I have been on TRP and MRP to learn for around 4 years. I have read the Book of Pook, TRM, NMMNG, WISNIFG, and Models by Mark Manson. There are prolly a few others that I'm forgetting. So far I haven't found a single book (or anything related) that take these ideas and filter them through the lens of the Bible (with the exception of RPChristian - found this a month ago or so). There is a huge need IMO for practical biblical dating advice in the Christian world. The closest thing I have found is …

I put the 100 level stuff into a Google Document for myself. That way I can highlight stuff throughout while I'm reading it. I would really rather prefer a paper book though and I don't really want to print out a pdf version of it cuz it's just kind of cumbersome. Definitely let me know when you have the book written. I'll buy a copy even if it's only digital. If you have a hard copy though that would be super awesome! You might just put a post up and ask if people would prefer a hard copy or a …

The side bar material is amazingly comprehensive brotha! Still in the process of reading it. Also very impressed with your knowledge of scripture and the language aspect of it. At first I thought you had to be a pastor, but then I noticed you were a lawyer and it blew my mind. How did you become so knowledgeable on scripture?

Experience = confidence. So if you are nervous getting experience then tell your body you are excited when you are nervous, because your mind doesn't know the difference between excitement and nervousness. Also chew gum. This tells your body that you are eating and there's no need to be nervous because you are safe.

Writing 3 months of body building I noticed a more drastic change than I did when doing 5x5. 3 ways that I know of to create passive income: 1) Multilevel marketing 2) Owning rentals 3) Creating an online business (Read the 4 hour work week) I like the 3rd option best because the upfront investment (time and money can be very little - up to $500 and 4 weeks to test a biz idea out). 5'7 160.2lbs (just finished cutting), 28YO, been lifting 10 months. I have never tried for a 1 RM. I started with SL 5x5, got to about a 315 squat and 350 DL, then after reading an article form the SL site, decided to lose the belt. That made me drop weight (about 4 months ago) and I also decided to switch up my workout because my upper body wan't getting enough attention. It's taken me about 4 months to get back to where I was with the belt. Keep at it brotha:)

Deadlifting 315 3x5 and squatting 315 3x5 both without a belt. Np so far!! I only progress if I know my form is good, otherwise I stick to what I can do. I record myself, have gym bros check my form and when it's available I have someone spot me on the squats.

I just had a thought about this yesterday. I have been contemplating a RP sub for Christians. IDK if it would be that big of a hit though. Anyways, the Bible is very RP. I don't agree with all the things said in TRP subs, but the things I do agree with I use. MRP is closer to a Christian RP. Since learning of the RP my standards for what I want in a women had increased and as such I know that very few women fit my requirments, but that's ok. Parts of this post remind me of 1 Corinthians 7:3-5. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt…

Right on!! On the topic of negging (this comment was taken from a now deleted user, but I really like how he put it): I don't feel any need to destroy others' worldviews. The faulty ones will collapse just fine on their own. Here's what I do instead of negging: I hold my frame. That's all you have to do. Interact with people on their own terms; refuse to bend to fit in their frame. Let them decide whether to fit themselves to yours or batter against it or walk away. There's no need to knock down…
