I agree, I’m like that too! But I guess part of that could also be social conditioning. Learning to accept a ‘no’ gracefully is an undervalued life skill and it demonstrates traits like empathy, respect, generosity, long term thinking, resilience and emotional control…all quite attractive characteristics if you ask me 😅.

Exactly. Sometimes you must take one for the team, sometimes he must take one for the team, it doesn’t work any other way. Sometimes it has to be a ‘no’ no matter how much you’d like it to be a ‘yes’. I don’t appreciate being submissive for the sake of it and doing a disservice to your own self in the process, because that’s not a road worth taking in the long run. Moreover, you are right when you say that feeling like sex is just a duty on the regular is an indication that there are issues in t…

I too am shy sometimes! And it also depends on what type of man you have at your side. Some are more open and it’s easier for you to open up too. Some are not and that changes the dynamic a bit. Maybe try non-verbal cues which in time he can learn? Getting out of the shower naked from time to time? Wear silky pajamas around the house? Just place yourself on the couch next to him in a certain way, kiss him or cuddle him a certain way? I always found these working much better than plain talk.

Thanks! 😁 Seeing this post come up in my feed was a surprise for me too because I haven’t visited this community in a long time. But as the years pass, I can still see how things I learned from this community back in the day helped me in having the relationship I have today, so I could try out writing a field report one of these days, once I’ve gathered my thoughts a little bit.

I am glad to see debate here! Ofc, you are right in many ways. This post has many ‘prerequisites’ which were not really the point of it (and were discussed in other posts, by other members). Choose a man you can respect and are attracted to. Make sure he’s choosing you for the right reasons (he’s attracted to you, both of you want the same things out of life, etc). Stay fit, invest in your relationship. Aaand maybe the most important one is to make it a point in your own head to have a good phys…

7 years since I wrote that post … oh my, time really flies. It was nice to revisit it and realize after all this time that it still holds true. Especially the part about not feeling ‘in the mood’ not being a good enough excuse to reject your man. I am older now, in my mid 30s, been with my partner for a long time, life is hectic, and I’m tired in the evenings but looking back at this year, there were some times I wasn’t really in the mood, yet the sex turned out to be mindblowing …you really can…

I’m sorry about you hurting this much right now! Hugs! I’d say you need to change jobs or projects or whatever, just so you don’t have to see him anymore, let alone having to talk to him. And please please learn from this, company policies of not dating colleagues are in place for many reasons and you’re now barely figuring out one of them...don’t ever, under no circumstances, consider the possibility of starting a relationship with a coworker again. If the possiblility arises again, see how bot…

They don’t have to wait for me. Everyone is free to do as they choose, but I will not tolerate someone trying to convince me to do something I don’t want to. Especially with such a degrading line, lol. Implying I ‘give it away’, lol no. I do what I want when I want with whoever I want. And if at some point in my life I’ve made other choices than currently, that is really nobody’s business. The guy can have a problem with it and realize we’re not a match or be ok with it and forever shut up. As c…

If you’re happy with who you are and what you do ...keep doing that! Keep living the life you fought so hard for, be who you fought hard to be (gym, hobbies, friendships, everything you’ve built) and take notice if he’s enjoying that or not. If he does, great! If he doesn’t ...well you’re already living the life you want :) Have faith in your instinct. If you feel like you shouldnt spend x amount of time at his place, maybe explore that feeling and where it comes from. Maybe it’s trauma, maybe i…

I only had one guy asking and was honest in my response, obviously. While also asking him to be honest in return about whether he is comfortable with my ‘count’, as it doesn’t make sense to drag the whole thing along just to break up in the future because of incompatibility in how we view sex and relationships. He assured me he was fine with it (and I believed him since he’s 10 years older and had much more experience than I did at that point). Guess who started behaving all insecure, jealous an…

You’ve got yourself a good man whom you’re not attracted to. It happens, especially when one is not entirely sure what is it exactly that they find attractive. Attraction is more than just a pretty face or fat bank account or a willingness to be a provider. Attraction is finding a piece(or more!) of whatever makes you feel alive in the other person. Maybe books, maybe music, maybe climate change. Who are you and what do you stand for? Now, I’m not married because I refuse to marry someone I am n…

Yes! I am kind of the same tbh, I feel I need certain actions/movements to get me off and not even *I* am always in the mood for that, lol. I've had partners who believed I should finish each and every time for it to be good and there used to be a time when I struggled with this. It wasn't fun anymore, it was just a boring quest for an orgasm :( and it put so much pressure on me, I felt I wasn't good enough somehow. But I managed to get past that, first on my own, sorta coming to terms with it a…

So time is short and you both wanna get some satisfaction out of it. Instead of your usual sex, I'd just focus on one person at a time. You can start with him, usually 10-15 minutes is more than enough to blow him out of his mind :D. And I bet he'll be eager to return the favor some other night. Sex that is mutually pleasurable usually has to last much longer and needs preparation, you both need to be in the mood and even then it's a hassle sometimes. Besides, the anticipation will keep you in t…

I think these are mostly cultural differences, I’m European as well and I noticed the same too. Around here there is a lot of bias exactly against a too large age gap and my own experience has shown me that even 6 years difference is too much. But it depends really. Also the RP is not the end all be all and different people might consider different things when a relationship comes into play. I couldn’t care less about ‘resources’ or ‘stability’ because i make good money myself, I’d rather have s…

Thank you! I love this reply, it captures my feelings so perfectly, I could have written it myself. I don’t really think any amount of closure will ever help, but what does, in my case at least, is doing nice things for other people. In a way, I am glad I lived through this loss, because it has made me a better human being. In a way, it feels like an irreplaceable loss but then again, the gains are also something beautiful.

Thanks for your reply! I too think ours were mostly timing issues, I have enough dating and relationship experience to know what I want but he doesn't really. It was a bit apparent since the beginning, when we started our relationship a month after he moved to the city we currently both live in. I think I just have to let it go for now, even though I will keep seeing him out and about. I had this happen with somebody else, whom I met years back and liked for a long, long time. But by the time he…

Thank you! Getting to this point where I can see everything with a bit of detachment has not been easy at all, I’ve been a mess for the most part of 2018 really, but I’m glad i made it. He seemed to have resurfaced at a point where I just didn’t want to engage him anymore and he tried pursuing but as soon as I showed some interest again, he seemed to lose it. Well ...we worked together up until this Friday and that honestly weighed heavily against me showing any interest. I didn't wanna be THAT girl especially as he seems a very professional and no-bullshit kind of guy. Hey! I’m not taking the trip to secure the guy, I really got excited about the skiing in itself, since I wanted to learn to do it properly for about 3 years now, but somehow never got the chance. Honestly, I would have had no issue going if I was not interested/attracted to the guy at all, as it would have been much more simple. But seeing I sort of like him too, this is as good a chance as any other to get to know him while we do something we both enjoy. I just don’t want to make it awkward or …

Thanks for the tips! Yep, we’re European but we’ll be going to Hintertux/Zillertal in Austria. Switzerland is so amazing, I’ve only been there in summer but I bet skiing would also be really fun. Also the cheese fondue is a good idea as well, quite effortless but classy! I’m not yet sure what kind of a guy he is really. This right here is the only thing I’m slightly worried about. I don’t want to appear crass and stiff or very entitled seeing that they had already planned the whole thing and I just tagged along. But i need to make it clear in a very laid back manner that I’m there to get to know him better, make new friends and have some genuine fun, not to hook up. Yaaaay thanks for the tips! I didn’t think about the cocoa but I’ll sure bring some along! I was also thinking of making peanut butter and honey topped with banana sandwiches for an easy, energizing breakfast. I also need to look into another ski outfit since I only own one. The ‘snow bunny’ idea is so cute and classy! I think I’d look really nice in a white ski jacket. Haha, I thought about the hummus-and-salad idea because he's a really fit & healthy vegetarian. I originally considered a veggie pasta dish myself, but he mentioned he's looking forward to make his signature pasta for us one evening, so I'll have to come up with something else :D. The veggie pizza idea seems to be the best idea at this point.

You're right, getting drunk is an absolute no-no. I did mention I don't like to drink( he said they're not into drinking either) and playfully stated I'm looking forward to ski until I drop dead tired at 10 o'clock each night. Which is true, I plan on skiing as much as possible and really rest. It's both healthy and safe. We'll have a kitchen so I offered to cook something, I originally thought about making some delicious dried-tomato-and-basil hummus with a huge side salad and carrots to nibble…

Yep, there's a really thin line in this particular situation between 'I don't wanna sleep with you, never ever' and 'I don't wanna sleep with you this soon'. It was the main reason I was unsure if it's a good idea to join them on the trip. I have to think about how to play it really good, but I think for the time being it would be safer to err in the direction of not wanting to sleep with him period.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't even think of pizza, but now that you mention it, I think its a terrific idea. I just have to wrap my head around finding good ingredients (or maybe bring them along hmm) and making dough on a ski trip but even that is bound to be a fun experience! I'm 28 and I've been wearing Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet for over 3 years now. I absolutely love it. It's rather floral with juuuuust the right amount of sweet for a lithe, young-ish looking woman. Although it's mostly marketed for the warm seasons, I always end up re-buying it around Christmas and I still feel it suits me even in the colder months. It typically doesn't last very long, but I always bought the Eau de Toilette. The new edition, Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is also quite nice, howe…

Wow, our situations are so similar! I too got back into reading right now that I'm single. It is one of my main hobbies really but like you, I didn't really feel like I had the 'mental space' to do so, since he was living with me (up until the first breakup) and then I just poured all my energy into trying to make it work. Hey! I feel for you, also being (recently) single after a relationship I really, really wanted to make work. It's not the best place to be in but on the positive side, it could fuel your self improvement tremendously! I don't think it's bad to go on dates here and there, just to meet people, but be careful as it could backfire. Most likely, you're feeling down and maybe looking for validation. Again, its not a bad thing to see other people interested in you and just get to know them and find out…

Yes, I believe you are right. Especially with strong-willed men, ultimatums will just drive them further away. I don’t want to give him an ultimatum, but I do want him. So my only option is to try my best to gain his commitment in time. And at the same time, being aware of my own timeline. That’s the whole reasioning behind my post.

Thanks for your reply! Things are better between us now and I can see them improving slowly over time. I don’t want to give him an ultimatum at the moment since I’ve done that in the past with poor results. I need to keep my fear and insecurity about the whole thing at bay while I work to gain his trust little by little. Why so hung up on this 'alpha widowhood' thing ? You're giving someone else all the power over yourself (the 'alpha' that left/did not commit) instead of accepting your own part in how things played out and realize YOU have all the power over YOURSELF. Why not be hung up like crazy on self improvement? You can look better, you can have a better social circle, you can be a better partner, gain more skills, etc. We all have room for improvement so why not improve instead of going around in circles…

This is very unorthodox advice for this sub but ...If you have so much in common and are committed to each other ...don’t you think you could accept his escapades if he was honest and came clean about them? How about 3somes? I’m getting the impression you’re much more hurt about the fact that he hides them from you than what he actually did. I think you should tread lightly on this. I don't know you or your relationship but I can offer my personal experience which hopefully will put yours into perspective. Some years back I met a guy who pursued me relentlessly for a couple months. At the very beginning I wasn't really interested in him but he turned out to be a really wonderful man. The best part of life is that you can mostly choose who you want to be. Make a list of small things you’d like to accomplish and dedicate your time to them. This is an easy way to meet people, make friends, meet guys with common interests and after some time has passed, your self esteem will grow as a result of your accomplishments :) . Don’t be afraid to challenge every belief you have and build yourself anew everytime you fail.

I think you are not yet over what happened in your former relationship/hookup/whatever you want to call it. Work on that, pick yourself up, engage in new activities, even if you have to drag yourself to do them in the beginning. When you get to a place you feel proud of yourself looking back, that's when your 'disgust' will melt away and you'll think people are cool for being interested in you. That's the nastiest part of low self esteem that no one seems to talk about. You have such a bad opini…

Pretty much, yeah. I know that when I lacked dating experience I thought I could only be happy with a very specific kind of guy. Well...experience has proved me wrong. In some ways, I've become much more picky, in others ...not at all. Overall, as I got older and more established myself, I noticed I attracted higher quality guys. Way more attractive and accomplished than I did as an early 20s woman. My dating pool has shifted tremendously as my career took off (which also provided the funds to t…

Indeed they do. I was just trying to pinpoint that marriage in Europe is a bit of a different affair. There's just not much pressure around here to push for marriage, except in very traditional communities. That makes the reasons for which people get married very different.
/r/RedPillWomen10/07/18 06:45 PM

It depends. Not all countries have the same traditions or the same socioeconomic patterns. I'm Eastern European and marriage/child rearing laws are way different here. The mother gets to stay home for 2 years with the newborn and her employer cannot terminate her during this time. She also gets paid maternity leave during that time. Alimony and child support laws are also much more even.

I think settling is different for everybody. We must know what we want out of life and then go find a partner with whom we can create said life. Being realistic about what we bring to the table, what we want to achieve and then selecting our partners accordingly and not by some fantasy ‘standards’ we might have in our heads. ‘Healthy’ settling might be something like ok ...I know I’m not really into having children, so I should cross the -must be able to support a family by himself- requirement …

In the couple from my experience above, the dynamic is very RP, but the kind I don't really agree with, because it's ultimately unfair. In the sense that he is way more experienced, a bit older, VERY sexually adventurous and carries some serious unhealed baggage from a previous relationship. She is quite young, was inexperienced previously and I get the feeling he 'trained' her for this open-relationship thing. I think that we all need to do some introspection in regards to what we want out of life before choosing to enter a relationship. Ask yourself what is important to you then choose someone who can give you that. No one can give you everything so we all settle in one way or the other. But the bright side is that when you know what you want, it wont feel like settling, because you have the basics covered so you feel you got a sweet deal! Yup, I agree. An insecure person will fabricate 'reasons' to continue to be insecure. Negativity breeds negativity. I'm sure that even if I had a low N count, my ex would have twisted it into something like 'Oh, so I'm sure you'll want to know what else is there at some point...' . There was no winning with him, as there is none with people that have a negative outlook on life.

It used to rub me off the wrong way, thinking that he's being way too black and white, but now, reading your comment, I understand what he meant. I've dated both older and younger men and right now, looking back, I've noticed that it's important to me that my partner is around the same age I am. My high school sweetheart is one year older and we've been together for 2 1/2 years. Back then, I couldn't understand why girls my age (16-17) always liked older guys and couldn't really see myself having anything in common with an older guy. As the poster above( u/gotothelibrary) mentioned, Europe is different than the US in regards to dating and relationships. I live in the second largest city of a Eastern European country( and have lived in other major European cities) and can confirm that ‘traditional’ dating as described in the RP subreddits is something mostly old(er) people do. The ‘obviousness’ that they’re looking for a relationship makes them come across as a bit ‘weird’ and sometimes even ‘desperate’. Young people of the g…

I am now in the process of walking away from my ex LTR (I should really update my flair) exactly because he thought I sought a commitment he was not yet ready to make. We did discuss the future, met the parents, lived together for a bit, but in the end, he felt he wasn't truly done sowing his wild oats, so our issue was rather one of bad timing. It is heartbreaking for both of us, but I don't think a marriage talk earlier on would have done us any good, on the contrary. Again, I think relationsh…

I am ambivalent about getting married myself but to me, a man who refuses to marry his SO knowing that it is what she wants would pose some serious red flags that would eventually tear down the relationship. I live in Eastern Europe and there's still a good amount of stigma against divorced people around here, so maybe that does influence my perception a little bit. I see marriage as a leap of faith and in some cases, a compromise. Saying 'I do' in front of your families, friends and community r…

My post was harsh but I'm not here to make you feel bad. Yet you need to stop being a victim and, from a position of self-perceived 'power' consider that you 'dressing well' would make anyone give you what you 'need' to feel attracted. Im not here to bring you down but be realistic once and for all and stop with the ‘dissatisfaction’. You won't overcome your feelings and magically become a captivating presence by staying at home. Go out, meet people, practice your conversational skills. Find women you admire and emulate them. Engage in hobbies and interests, so you have things to share and discuss with people. Exercise so you feel and look good.

I agree to this so much! Especially the part about the man needing to earn his position as a leader and subsequently, a GOOD woman's dependence and submissiveness. Just as a woman needs to earn the guidance and support of a GOOD man. It goes both ways and real trust and a position of leadership are not gained easily. Does he follow through with what he promised that time when he said he'll take you to see your parents even though you know he'd rather stay home and play video games? Does he stick…

True love and relationships that last a life time DO exist! And if you want to have one, this is a place that can teach you a whole lot :). The Red Pill teaches us that love does exist, however, it is nothing like the movies portray it. Love is a FINITE but REGENERABLE resource and RPW teaches you what tools you need to use to be able to (re)generate love in a relationship. Although I agree that some experience goes a long way in terms of dating (and even sex), casual hookups won’t help you real…

Thanks a lot for the effort! I really, really appreciate it. Your input is VERY on point about everything. My bf is indeed the most masculine guy I've ever come across. Really, textbook MAN - doesn't think like a woman, doesn't act like a woman. Hello! I hope all is well with your family! Wishing you the best for the holidays :) My question is regarding my relationship :) again. My bf moved out of my place since he bought his own and it seems we are slowly moving past our huge crisis. He's made a few steps here, I've made another there but the progress is really, really slow. Hello! This time I've got a much more general question to ask the cards: What does 2018 have in store for me and what should I focus on to make the best of it? I think you need to live in the moment and be mindful. Yes, I know this seems to be just a hollow phrase that sounds good but let me explain: I don't think you necessarily have to be 'fierce and boss-like' at work. Just go there and do your best. Some days your best might be lower than others, but oh well. Ask for help if you don't think you'll be able to manage everything. Take a short break regularly and focus on the task at hand, not on the ones to come. Basically, take a more laid back appro…

I actually agree with u/yourenot_ahuman's comment the most. Everyone shows love differently, what's important is that their partner perceives the gestures accordingly. Yet, any human being who loves and cherishes their partner will at least try to show love with those gestures that are perceived accordingly by their partner. Now when they don't, that doesn't necessarily mean they're not in love anymore. They might just very well be out of love to give (temporarily, due to stress or whatnot) or t…

There are men out there who are very protective and feel good when they can be the providers. I'm sure no one wants a leech, but how much is too much depends on each man's tolerance level. Some men want to be full providers, others look for a whole different kind of relationship. While I was struggling financially I used to attract the provider type too. However, I …

I liked "Why men love bitches" and, while it seems like 'the sky's blue and the grass is green' kind of book, it does serve as a reminder that even in a relationship, and MORE SO, in a fresh relationship, women should not disregard their own private, separate lives, needs and desires. Some mystery is good. Although I can't say a dynamic like theirs is what I want out of my relationship, I can't help but appreciate the way Melania speaks of Donald and their relationship. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and high standards. That is very good, as it is a sensible idea that we're picky regarding who becomes the most important person in our lives. Yet time and time again, we tend to forget the highest standard of all, that which makes a relationship immensely more than the sum of its parts, love. You say sex is easier to get for women than for men and it's perfectly true. But do women WANT most men, according to the TRP? Unfortunately not. That's also true. Most men are exactly like most women. Plain, boring, uninteresting, etc. Then, the thing is, a woman who's had a handful of partners is able to figure out about how good in bed is a guy just by minor interactions with him. I think that for most girls, after experiencing some partners, the bar just keeps getting higher. Women who want …

I am not necessarily responding to your post, u/BewareOldMan but these are just some opinions I'd like to share and maybe discuss here. We're all human and we're all a bit insecure here or there. It's normal to feel a bit of dread at the thought that maybe, just maybe, your partner had better sex elsewhere. No one is spared from this, man or woman. Lol @ guys needing to be 'warmed up' with casual conversation then asked out. Newsflash, if you have to 'act' like you're the prize, you're actually not. That rings true for both men and women. What everybody needs to realize is that the only person we've got control over is ourselves. Strive to be better for YOU. Improve YOUR life before thinking of improving someone else's. The similarity of our situations really made me want to write down a reply for you. You're young and attractive, if you want a traditional-ish relationship, then you have to make a decision for your own good. Don't let yourself be strung along for years in a relationship where you feel you're losing your mind and 'hamstering'. You're not hamstering, what you're feeling is red flags and your needs/wants not being met. It's hard to let go, I know. Especially when he's attractive, promising, hasn't…

I wasn't implying you used the word as a slight at other women. You're not 'hamstering', you're overthinking and a bit emotional. Why? I explained it above. Accept who you are. Accept your partner's different. Your reaction is valid. His is valid as well. But since this is his grief to deal with, you need to understand it at best you can and help him deal with it in HIS manner.

Firstly, I hate the term 'hamstering'. It is demeaning and oversimplifies the way women's brains work and more importantly, WHY they work like that. You are a woman, you act like a woman. As long as you are not blatantly disrespectful or rude and hurt other people, you're just being you. Never go against your nature and don't demean yourself. You're designed to worry about a million things at the same time and want to offer emotional support because you're a woman, thus you've got the potential …

You mention your last relationship changed you and that you only have 1-2 free nights a week. This, to me, does not sound like you are in a good place for a relationship. Take you time, be alone, heal and when you do, you’ll become much more approachable offline. While you heal, by all means, keep busy, but be ready for when you do find someone, your routines to become much harder to follow. Being single has its own perks, enjoy them.

Extremes are never good. No one likes a raging shrew, but not many men truly like a girl who's 'too nice' or a doormat either. It's great that you're nice and submissive, but if you're nice and submissive by default, before the men you're dating have proven themselves to you, it will just open the door to abuse. Some posters below have had a different experience than mine, so it might very well work. It depends on a lot of factors. I'm simply attracted to drive and I like to be chased. Substance-less forms. However, this is not really something RP-specific, but rather a general idea I will not ever subscribe to. And I'm sure there are other, more subtle cues that a man(or a woman, for the matter) might be an asshole. No need to get all worked up, but know that you will always get the treatment you settle for. Don't keep t…

I'm still adjusting to having my bf live in with me after living alone for the past 4 years. I love him dearly and I get to learn and practice a great deal of the RP philosophy, but it is tough. The strict routines I had have all changed, I find myself unable to work out as much as I did in the past (although that is not necessarily bad, since at some point I went waaay overboard and lost too much weight, but I do miss the discipline), I miss having my own personal space and I never seem to mana…

I'm not married, nor do I have children, so take my advice for what it's worth, but I don't think any woman should have to put up with something like this. Especially since you also have a child to look after! Your husband is acting like a teenager. Ofc someone new is going to be much more enticing than his wife back home, who has a house and child to care for all day long, but is this new 'phase' of his worth troubling his wife and ultimately, his child? Even if things do work out eventually be…

Does he work a really stressful job or do other factors make him stressed? Has he always been like this? Objectively, how good do you think you look? Does he work out and maintain a healthy lifestyle? Did you use to reject him a lot? Do you have your own life apart from him? These and many more are questions you need to ask and answer for yourself, then maybe try discussing them with him and see where he stands. Don't make it about him, but about you and see where YOU can improve, as you have no…

Congratulations for the weight loss! That in itself is a huge accomplishment, way to go! I'm sure the dedication will help you continue to lose the other extra weight. How did you manage to lose so much? I'd take the lessons learned in your journey and try to apply them in other areas you feel lacking. It is a process, you don't magically get up one morning weighing 10 pounds less. Every other thing about yourself you want to improve will go through the same process. You'll suck at it in the beg…

Yup, I forgot to mention this! Thanks for pointing it out. Not being in the mood is a shitty excuse. So you wake up every morning to go to work when you're not in the mood but don't let your man pleasure you because of the same reason? Hmm ... Honestly, I can't even imagine a good enough reason to say no to your man's advances. Men are not evil, a happy, steadily satisfied man will never try to get sex when you truly are ill, so any excuse to say no is just that, a lame excuse showing how little…

This seems to be so interesting! I've never had the chance to get a tarot reading. Here are my questions: What should I focus on in the following months, considering I'll be dealing with a new, more challenging job? How will it change me? Self improvement is to be done, not read about. Focusing on yourself will build up your confidence like no self-help books ever will. Those are pretty much scams, filled with platitudes to make you feel better about yourself for a short while. You want a recipe for self improvement? How long has it been since you last felt proud of yourself? How long since you taught yourself something new? Take a good, honest look at yourself, inside and out and write down what would you like to improve. Set go…

Indeed and I should have made the distinction. It's all intent. If OP comes from a place of fear and begging for attention, it will not move the BF one bit. If she's truly got something interesting to share with him, that's bound to work. That's why my no. 1 solution for mostly anything is "focus on yourself and build an interesting life for yourself".

The main distinction between addiction and video games being just a pass-time is, imo, whether the person is neglecting his responsabilities, hobbies and outside interests or not. At some point, the addiction even interfered with my work. Luckily I woke up. We don't have that level of info on OP's boyfriend. It's easy to plant the see…

There are a couple ways to go from there: Straightforward and to the point: Bring him your problem, not your solution. Mention you would like to spend more time together daily. But make sure it's quality time. If you need to complain about your day, better find a gf to do it with. A little less overt but I noticed this seems to work much better with young men: Put some healthy distance between you guys. Let him do his gaming and in the meantime, go do your thing. Work out, dress up, apply some m…

No, you just need to figure out why he's spending time in game. Is it to unwind or is it because he is not very invested in the relationship anymore? Then, when you know your answer, you can behave accordingly.

My bf is a huge video game fan too and will play daily. He mentioned to me he had issues with this in his last relationship, his ex nagged him constantly about gaming and he ended up dumping her. There used to be a time when I too got annoyed about his gaming. I felt insecure, unwanted and I'd started falling into a pattern of hanging around him subtly begging for attention. Herein lies the importance of vetting. Stellar sex, faithfulness, cooking and homemaking are reserved only for those men who are truly worthy. Just as women need to prove themselves worthy of a good Captain, so do men need to prove themselves worthy of a good First Mate time and time again. Guys that scream sex to me are either those of medium height and stocky(not fat, especially no belly) or tall(er) and lean (but with broad shoulders) and with playful, 'mean' eyes. Not really bad boys, but some guys just have that determined, no-nonsense look in their eyes which I like. All the guys I've ever slept were pretty much one of these two types. I've no problem with bald(ing) guys, yet I'm really put off by soft/sparse facial hair and narrow shoulders.

Do you have any insecurities related to your boyfriend/relationship? Your SMV is getting lower as you get older, of course, but you're 25 and in LTR of 2 years. If your guy stuck by your side for this long, I don't really think a bunch of additional wrinkles will be a deal breaker for him. I think you should ask yourself why is it that you want marriage so badly, find the real, inner reason and take it from there. Marriage is work, and if you pile personal and financial issues on top, it can get really sour, really fast. Not to mention adding children to the equation. If hitting the wall is all you think about every day, it's no wonder you want to get married as soon as possible, but that's a losing strategy. Insecurity and some (common, 'normal') degree of neediness will attract most men. Why? Because most men are insecure and needy themselves. That does not mean the guy is obviously insecure and needy, that's a whole different story, just that he feels he 'lacks' in certain ways. And it's the easiest thing in the world to feel you lack in many ways in today's society. Promiscuity has a detrimental effect on both women and men's abilities to pair bond. Also, more often than not, men are more prone to regret their wild ways. Why? RP tells us(and I wholeheartedly agree) that men are the true romantics, that need to feel inspired to do grand gestures for the women they love. Now, when your N-count, as a guy, is high, it's pretty difficult to find a woman who'll inspire those kinds of feelings. If she's wild and exciting, it's hard to trust her and she probably do…

Make sure to exfoliate regularly, either using a mechanical(like a loofah or grounded coffee) or chemical (AHA/BHA acids) scrub and hydrate properly. Drink your water and use body lotion every day. If I were you, I'd wait a bit longer, especially since you guys are so young. However, what I really wanted to point out is that the oral for his b-day seems a bit ...off?! I don't think it should be planned like this, since you'll get all nervous and build up expectations which might or might not be in line with the reality of how it's gonna be. Also, the idea comes off as a 'reward' or a 'gift' of sorts, which is not really what any type of sex should be in a relationship.

I don't have much advice to give except what's been already said about saving your calories and being witty/flirty in your refusals but to me( I'm very strict with my diet and workouts as well), someone insisting on teasing me about my food/drink choices would be pretty big of a red flag. Statistically speaking, the higher(or lower, for the matter) your IQ compared to your peers, the more difficult it is for you to relate to them and build up meaningful relationships. I don't think a higher IQ hinders your ability to connect emotionally to a man with an equal or higher IQ but again, statistically, it affects your ability to connect with men in general and it might take one a little longer to find a partner.

Yup, this is a general issue when taking any (somewhat) standardized test, however in this case, I believe the scoring break down is sufficiently lax to accommodate any special features one might have. For ex, I lost points on the BMI question since technically speaking I am underweight, however, myself and everyone around me agrees that this is the weight I look best at, since I got a petite frame & small, delicate bones. I like the cool realism of your post and overall, I tend to agree. There is no such thing as destiny or soul-mates and although the idea that a guy just can't help himself but marry you sounds wonderful and romantic in theory, it tends to get really creepy really soon IRL. The biggest relationship challenge is, in my opinion, preserving one's own identity as we were born to be men or women first and foremost. Husbands, providers, wives, mothers are just some of the roles we choose to play throughout our lives. For an individual who has their life together and is a functional adult, relationships do not really bring any 'utilitarian' value in the way you put it (not social/emotional value). There are always pros and cons, there's a lot of 'truth' and 'right' going around, it's up to everyone to figure out what's true and right for them. An older, more established man is a good choice if you're into a more traditional dynamic and you're somewhat traditional yourself. Looking after a father figure is not inherently wrong, when it offers you stability. OTOH, if you're looking for a 'partner in crime' type of…

I am a software tester transitioning into developer and my boyfriend is a microbiology professor who's also employed in research. I am really proud of him being all ambitious and I love it when he gets all geeky about his research. I also studied pharmacy and we'll usually spend a good amount of time discussing science and research. Apart from that, I am really impressed by his social skills. Interacting with students made him really tactful, calm and socially savy, which helps a lot, since I te…

This is very insightful, awesome advice! Can't like it enough! Relationship goals: be an awsome, hot, educated individual, pair up with someone who is an awesome, hot, educated individual as well, bring each other up everyday and make a conscious decision each day to stay!

Dread never really worked on me, long before I had much experience dating or knew anything about the RP, I remember guys using 'dread' and a display of abundance mentality and I was always thinking 'ok, bring it on, lets see who's the first one getting bored and out of this. Counting down'. Countering dread with amused mastery haha. Basically, I always saw it as the point where true connection starts dying and the guy trying to replace it with petty games, meaning he's much more invested and des…

I'm definitely not a feminist, but I wouldn't say I'm a RPW in the strict sense either. Why the need to define yourself as such or such? If you think this is a place where you can find helpful relationship advice (and it is, imo), does it really matter we might not share your opinion on underrepresentation in positions of political power ? Not meaning to be harsh, but I think we are all better off focusing on bettering ourselves and reaching a certain balance in our own life and relationships be…

Thanks! It took me a while to get to where they are now, I've been following the above routine for around 3 years now and had some major fails with the scissors in the beginning, lol. I've been biting my nails horribly for about 10 years, so they were really soft and used to break easily. For me, nail polish was their savior. Now they're really strong, yet however, I bet that if I were to not use any product on them, they'd be back to their softness in no time.

Haircare: I have shoulder length, straight, fine, oily hair. Never dyed it(hopefully never will, at least for the next 20 or so years), I wash it every other day, use a blow dryer to dry it every time, then a wooden comb, and apply an argan oil mask once a week. From time to time I also use dry shampoo for texture and a bit of volume, as a milder alterntive to hairspray. I have three main hairstyles I do on a regular basis: messy bun( with a hair donut), pony tail and loose( I always straighten …

You might be right, I just find it hard to believe male sexuality is that simple. I don't think a guy would leave a woman he likes just because she's less adventurous in bed, but I'm sure they like diversity, otherwise at least the lingerie industry wouldn't be so big. I've also heard lots of guys categorize and comment this. Not saying its a must, yet I bet there's a difference between good and good enough.

I've noticed using a nail scissors rather than a clipper helps me control the shape I give my nails a lot better. It was a bit of a challenge to get handy with it, but this way, the corners are much more easily rounded. You already have the shape after you cut them, then you just file them to perfect it. I've noticed shaping by filing them usually means I have to file a lot, which makes them prone to split so much faster. Also, be sure to take care of your cuticles, push them back with a bamboo …

Nor have I. Yet, how do you define good sex? In my point of view, attraction is an important component of it. And attraction is fickle, it always needs some switching, twisting up, change of scenery/roles, some element of surprise, you get my drift.

Maybe the poor guy just got fed up of always feeling like a second hand citizen in the relationship and was looking for some appreciation elsewhere. Don't know, these two just seem like people desperate to get in a relationship in the early stages without ever assessing their wants and needs.

Problem with the first kind of woman is that, if she expects to be fully supported by her SO, then she always HAS to come with something new, keeping him entertained and hooked. In most cases, that takes a lot of dedication, time and money, with no guarantee of success. If she doesn't need him to support her while at the same time being 'better' than him, then why waste time with someone you cannot look up to? Problem with the second woman would be that she is too ...real and pragmatic and not a…

Depends: If they were looking for something serious, they should have set their expectations straight internally( no need to shout it out, just gently weed out guys who they thought didn't have long term potential), vetted better with their expectations in mind, and probably had to try dating a bit older, more established men. It all depends on who you are, what are your expectations, what you and your partner can each bring to the table and where each of the two are willing to compromise. The w…

Yup, we choose and vet your SOs with the intention of them becoming the most important person in our lives, the ones who know us best. Why not work hard to make them proud of us? I can't think of a higher boost to my self esteem, mood and spirit than knowing the most important person in my life is proud of me. That alone deserves every second of hard work I put into myself.

I first started working out religiously 6 days a week more than a year ago. At about 6 months in, I was feeling so down and depressed about it thinking 'is THIS constant treadmill of soreness, making sure I get enough sleep and keep a close eye on my diet, while squeezing in work and career improvement, hobbies, relationships and everything else, how my life has to look like from now on if I am to maintain the body I want?'. Pushed on regardless and sometime around the 9 month mark, my whole poi…

I believe both men and women learn to 'settle' after a major disappointment, either in other people or in themselves. When we`re young, we think we can have the world at our fingertips, but that is not always the case. Time and time again I see, among friends and acquaintances the same scenario: Guy in his early-mid 30s, smart, successful, ambitious and at least decent looking (either a hot body and average face or really nice features but not working out) who spent a good deal of time (3+ years…

I never really gave it a thought until recently, but I seem to attract only commitment-friendly, LTR-oriented men. Even when I was only looking for more ...casual stuff, I always seemed to get involved with guys who were waaaay more committed than I was, which sometimes led to unpleasant, hurtful situations. And I guess this is mostly because I'm a bit shy, reserved and so into doing my own thing that only someone who's really into me would keep trying and trying to strike up conversations and f…

First of all, congratulations for putting the effort into your appearance! I'm always happy to hear about people working out to look good, even when they don't 'need' it, as in having to lose weight. I bet your boyfriend sees and appreciates this a whole lot! Secondly, I think you're overthinking your bf's comment. Judging from the way you put it, he didn't even say something like 'I wish you had smaller boobs' (which would have been a bit stingy yes, but not necessarily mean), the guy just stat…

Yup, I think most women would find it hard to take (I know I did, lol) that it's much more important for the man to be 100% into the whole thing from the beginning than it is for the woman. But it just kind of ...makes sense, if you truly want a masculine, dominant man. I mean I view it as a vetting principle, if I can tell the guy is interested but does not make any move, then I start wondering if he's taking the same approach with other, much more important things, like .. let's say career or …

Spot on! I think in this case, the low value guy would endlessly chase a woman who's obviously not interested in him, meanwhile the high value guy would take the lead and pursue, but move on as soon as he notices he's the only one giving.

Not sure why the downvotes on your post, Willow. I tend to agree wholeheartedly, having experienced first hand what chasing a man who is kinda meh about you does to your self esteem. I noticed in the above posts the idea that somehow, a man who is head over heels in love with a woman is 'less' than her. Of course, this might very well be true and that's where our vetting system is really put to the test. It's easy to weed out the complete deadbeats and the 100% betas or but not so much when one …

Maybe grow some confidence and self esteem ;). When was the last time you felt proud of yourself? No, really, you're trying so hard to find the needle in the haystack, you`re missing the whole point. Improve yourself on all fronts, work hard to gain your own appreciation and surrender. You cannot control who wants you, even when you're an 11/10.

Everyone is a 'type', yet you can increase your SMV within your own type, the way I see it. There's a huge difference between a, let's say, curvy, fleshy woman who knows to flaunt her assets, is always dressed nicely, works out and wears flattering make-up and the same woman dressed in baggy/too tight clothes that just don't do it for her and is always unkept and all over the place. Ofc, any guy who is into super slim women will not really notice the woman in the above example but which example …

I've got really small boobs. Like so small I need to wear a bra to actually give the impression there's something there. In the past I used to wear extra-padded bras always joking that I'm so open, I even take my boobs off before intimacy. Sometimes I get insecure too and even my female relatives always ask whether I've thought about getting implants. I have, of course and maybe I will. But there's no way I'm going to the doctor's and buy myself a pair of self esteem, because it does not work th…

On weekdays I usually wake up around 8 am, eat breakfast, shower and get dressed then head for work, where I am from 9 to about 5:30. Then I get home, eat dinner (I try to always eat my last meal before 6 pm) then relax a bit, usually by reading until 7pm. In the 7-8 interval I get various chores done or cook. From 8 to 9 pm I work out(Monday is my day off), then relax some more, shower and head to bed. I try to go to bed as early as possible since I need about 8 1/2 hours of sleep every night t…

Very insightful! I see no mention of the face/facial features in your post though and I'd be curious how they would be rated in the SMV context, based on what factors? I'm also curious what matters more in terms of SMV (face or body) and how would they be correlated. Got any info/insight on that? Thanks!

I am sorry if I misinterpreted. The whole point of my post was that everyone needs to work with what they have. All I see in your posts is negativity, you're only looking at your weaknesses. You have to really look at yourself and your body, really pay attention and find your qualities (or at least things you are naturally good at, that with some work can turn into qualities. Learn to compensate). For example, I used to be skinny-fat, kind of shapeless, with a big, droopy, cellulite ridden butt …

I have read most of your posts here and I am truly sorry for the way you are feeling and the situation you find yourself in :) . However, I seriously doubt you (or 99.9% of the female population) need(s) that much surgical/cosmetic altering to find a caring, decent partner. My guess would be that you have extremely low self esteem which is mostly fueled by your SO's comments towards you and your body. That's that, you cannot persuade anyone into being attracted to you, no matter how much you try…

I would hardly qualify as a RPW in the strict sense, but that is not the point here. I agree with some of the Red Pill principles, since I truly believe seeking constant improvement and better understanding of the world is the only life worth living. "Think of the lock and key. A key that opens many locks is a master key, a lock that's opened by many keys is a shitty lock. Men are keys, constantly trying to "open" women. Women are locks, they need to be very selective in who they allow in. A wom…

He keeps striking up almost daily conversations about movies/books/video games we both enjoy and seems pretty eager to hear my opinion or let me know of his progress. It seems to me he's trying to reach out and move the convo further, but does not really know how. I also have not asked him why the passiveness. That line came after some one on one time we had together (which he eagerly initiated), where we did nothing but read and discuss books while everyone else was partying. Did not know what …

Hello! The vacation was a good idea after all, we all had a great time, N and I spent some decent amount of time together and I got to know him on a more personal level. I think he was flirting (and I guess he still is, always picking up conversations these days) but kept saying he's unable to pick up girls properly so he has to settle for those who pick him up. I LOL'ed at that, as it does not seem a nice thing to say, even if it were true. I'd rather think he's not interested enough to pursue …

Although your posts are a bit harsh, I appreciate what you're saying, I really do. At this point, I do not really need any sugar coating either. I just want to figure out what i'm doing wrong and try to fix it. Not sure where in my post I left the impression that my relationships or flings (mind you, those were 3 as well, out of which I had sex with 2 of the guys - I think 5 partners is not much at all, but I agree, they could have been less) were my way of me 'tailoring myself for him'. He was not really down and struggling, yes, he was studying for a difficult exam, but was able to do so while his folks were fully supporting him, he could afford not working for about 3 full years. I did not think, at that time, he'll ever manage to get his act together profesionally and that was a bit of a red flag for me. The point is that although I tried dating other people, had other relationships, tried to be happy and make them work, I always find myself thinking about him. There were times in my past relationships where I felt disappointed by my partners and kept thinking N would lead better and not make those petty mistakes. But I am aware that, at the same time, I trust, admire and want to submit to N much more than I wanted to do so with my former partners. I am, unfortunately, very much stuck in a fanta…

I rejected his advances in the first place at that point because: he used to be very much the player back in the day and I truly, really liked him, could not stand the thought I'd be just another young, naive girl he`s playing games with. It was just last year, when we got back in constant contact I saw he's developed into the man he is now and grew to admire him even more. part of his quest for establishment meant he had to be away for about 2 years for scho…

Thank you for your insight, from an outside perspective you are very much in the right. Out of my three relationships, one happened before I knew him and he has known and met (and advised me against it) only the last guy I dated out of the remaining two. He knows nothing of the flings. After I rejected him the first time, years ago, he went off and dated various other girls and basically I have tried to do the same, yes, I kept him in high regards and thought of him, sought his advice, spoke to …
