And on top of that, I need to have a good career and attractive and defined musculature in order to be optimally attractive. And those are just the factors that I can control. But after all of that, 90% of women will reject me because I'm a sun man and not a snowman, so the ceiling of overall genuine sexual attractiveness that I can reach is quite low. In fact, because I'm a sun man, I need to make over $300,000 extra dollars a year than the snowmen to compensate. https://blogs.sas.com/content/s…

The problem with looks being the initial romantic catalyst is that it runs deep for both women and men. Women who are significantly below average in conventional attractiveness are seen as such by most men. But men who are dead average in conventional attractiveness are seen as below-average by the majority of women. https://blogs.sas.com/content/sastraining/2014/10/16/how-do-men-rate-women-on-dating-websites-part-2/ Your ethnicity (which is part of your looks) can also be a deal breaker. The distribution for IQ (I understand that it's a controversial and non-standardized measuring system) in people with autism seems to be shifted more towards the left and the right. So there are proportionately more autistic people with high and low IQs compared to a normal IQ distribution of NTs.

Faking neurotypicality doesn’t really work in the long term I agree. This comment may turn out to be helpful advice for me.

I will not give an opinion on your last statement other than to say I still need to better understand the new DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism. But I have been clinically diagnosed with autism. I also have a depressive disorder, which is apparently comorbid with autism and high IQ (which I apparently have, but sometimes it feels as if my brain completely shuts down and becomes devoid of all conscious thoughts).

The funny thing about this ethnic tax is that I have observed even more girls rejecting me over it in the past few years. I hear things like "sorry, Asians aren't my type" way more than I did 10 years ago, even though our society is supposedly more "accepting." I can just hear some redpill guys saying "well, go to Asia then." The brutal part there is that in China particularly, it is still ten times easier to date as a white man than as an Asian man. I can't blame them for not wanting to deal with that Neither can I, but if I consider that most of my straight partnered male friends are constantly talking about how stressful their lives with their girlfriends are, it does make it seem like (at least in long-term relationships) the guys in my life might really be more tolerant and open than the girls in their lives. In case someone thinks I'm overgeneralizing, I will emphasize that this only applies to my small group of friends afaik for sure.…

Here is how to help: Understand that if we don't make the same faces that you do or look you directly in the eye while you're talking to us, it doesn't mean that we aren't interested in what you have to say. When we make a repetitive motion, it is often because we are overcome with feeling. It can be most any feeling. It doesn't mean that we're retarded (I and other autistic people in my friend group have actually gotten this). When you say something, and we relate a similar experience, it's oft…

There are three points: The importance of neurotypicality is underrated for men in particular; in fact, male ASD can apparently be a deal-breaker for the majority of neurotypical women even though it is not often stated nearly as directly. When people speak of the importance of "being a good and caring person," they are likely usually projecting said importance onto a neurotypical person since autistic people do not lack empathy compared to NTs with similar IQs. Statistically, autistic women don…

Has your friend had a dating life?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 05:18 AM
1

That's not true. A man's race and height are huge factors. Furthermore, there are many women who are conventionally unattractive who will want a partner more attractive than them. On average, women only consider the top 20% of men attractive, and that stat might be even more exaggerated in the 2020s.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 05:16 AM

I'm in my late 20s. It may be coincidence, but I'm noticing women around my age are starting to take skills and money into account as they are beginning to want to settle down. In my early 20s skills and money meant jack shit to other women. I would say the blackpill is the notion that your dating success (and to some extent your success in other areas of life) is largely dependent on your genetics; "personality" and confidence don't play as much of a role as normies like to say it does.

Other findings from the same study: Most autistic men in the study have never had sex while a majority of autistic women have. Only half of autistic men in the study have ever held a girl's hand. Autistic women aren't less likely than neurotypical women to have been in a relationship in this study. Most autistic women in this study have kissed. The overwhelming majority of autistic men in this study have not.

Some Americans do say this a lot to races that they hold in lower esteem; it's quite unfortunate because people whose families have been here for 200+ years will be told to go back to Africa, Asia, etc.

This is good data but the conclusion reinforces what we already know. Men make up about 80% of suicide victims. Women attempt suicide more, but men succeed more.
/r/BlackPillScience17/10/22 05:53 PM

It's because women hold the power in the dating market and already biologically have what men want, at least in the initial stages.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 05:05 PM

Most men need to simply accept it...and simply do whatever it takes to get to the top of the ladder. That is simping behavior. If what you say comes to pass, all men will improve, and many women will likely still only go for the top 20% of men, and perhaps even a smaller percentage. I think this distribution might even be more extreme in the future since social media algorithms also reward exponentially. So the people who create the most appealing content will be promoted even more, and "average…

If you don't want kids, don't have them. You'd be doing them a disservice if you weren't fully devoted to them since life, death, joy, and suffering would be forced upon them through no desire or fault of their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 06:57 AM

It's because women's beauty standards have drastically changed through social media in ways men's beauty standards haven't. Now, women of all races, sizes, and shapes are touted as being attractive and are given modeling contracts, which is a good thing. But there has been no effective similar movement for overweight men and men of different races. Instead, women's height preferences in men have risen in the past 20 years, which culls even more men from the dating pool.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/22 09:53 PM
1

The constraints of both of those things are very different. The man in your example wants to fuck, while the woman doesn't want to have a job and wants to instead take care of kids at home. In fact, I would say that the solution is quite easy for the man if he lives in a place where prostitution is legal. The solution for the woman is contingent on her finding a man who is willing to financially support her and at least one child. That could be quite difficult.

If they made rules regarding threads related to this topic, most of the threads in this sub would be banned. Perhaps for good reason too, as the problems in dating are relatively simple to explain, despite reactionary redpillers and blackpillers' insistence to the contrary.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/22 09:21 PM
1

The severity of most of these constraints is highly mitigated with birth control (I understand that not everyone can or wants to take it) or condoms, which both men and women can use. However, I agree with the part about danger, which is an unfortunate consequence of sexual dimorphism with regard to size and strength.

But if they don't prefer dating within their race, like 40% of Asian women, then they'll often prefer dating white. Being less likely to be desired doesn't make you undesirable, but it does make it 15 to 20 times less likely.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 08:18 PM

https://home.uchicago.edu/~hortacsu/onlinedating.pdf ~95% of women of all other races will reject an Asian or Indian guy for being Asian or Indian. 40% of Asian women will reject an Asian guy for being Asian. https://go.gale.com/ps/i.do?p=AONE&u=googlescholar&id=GALE|A253444982&v=2.1&it=r&sid=googleScholar&asid=d06970f5 Asian men need to make $247,000 more per year to do as well as an equivalent white man in dating. Obviously, exceptions exist, but the statistics don't lie.

Every situation is different, so I won't say that, but it's all in the study.

Only a minority of white men are like that. Most Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern men are undesirable to women at any age.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 01:04 AM

Basically I'm wondering if the preference for white guys is actually rooted in a biological basis beyond cultural biases. Blackpillers often assert that this is the case, but I've never been able to find a definitive source that suggests as much.
/r/BlackPillScience11/10/22 09:20 PM

I agree with your last point. To add, there are also a few neurotypical people who just decide one day that they have autism in order to get tiktok views. Sometimes, meltdowns happen because we become overstimulated. I think it is similar to NT meltdowns. The first two points I think depend on the person. It's unfortunate that you've mainly encountered autistic people who are harmfully selfish; not all of us are like this.

I live in the United States, and I assume you live in a French-speaking country? The first example you cited would be considered "Level 2" autism here according to the DSM-5 (and later editions) which is an "official" manual of mental disorders. The second would be considered "Level 1." There is a "Level 3" which is usually characterized by symptoms like the inability to speak clearly. Based on the usage of "high-functioning" in the studies, I would assume that they are talking about Level 1 aut…

So I sat down and read your comment again today and thought about it more. If I'm reading this correctly, you're an autistic woman who's aware that you give "them" the creeps, but you're repulsed by autistic men as well. That's very interesting. I wonder why I, as an autistic guy, am not creeped out by other autistic people regardless of gender. Are you creeped out by autistic girls?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/22 09:50 PM

These studies used "high-functioning" autistic people and compared them to IQ-comparable NTs, so we're not talking about autistic people who can't practically function without assistance.

I'm not trivializing anything. To many of us, "contorting the face" is exactly what it feels like. Not only does it feel menial and pointless, but it is hard to do, especially if we are talking at the same time. If it comes naturally to NTs, fine, but it doesn't come naturally to everyone. I'm not saying you're intentionally doing this, but it feels like you're downplaying how unnatural varied affective facial expressions are for many of us. I think empathy is the wrong word. They really just seem to resent alternative worldviews then their own. It's interesting that you bring this up. I have also observed anecdotally that the most over-the-top friendly people can be quite toxic, although toxicity isn't limited to people with that sort of personality. I've found that if you can connect with someone on a more profound level than just on the surface, the differences between you and the other person seem to matter less and less. Your last sentence really hit close to home with me. It is so often that I see people who lie and talk shit about others behind their backs, but they get a pass because they smiled while they did it. /r/PurplePillDebate09/10/22 05:06 AM

I agree that disruptive behavior is exhausting and shouldn't be excused. Interrupting people while they speak and insisting that others like what you like while spurning the reality that some people will dislike what you like is generally not conducive to effective conversation no matter what your neurotype is. But the things I was primarily referring to are: The double standard that autistic people need to be more empathetic when, on average, they do not lack empathetic ability compared to NTs.…

Copypasta in case my original comment is buried: So let's assume that a given autistic person is able to verbally engage with another person and verbally respond appropriately to what they say. This is possible even in short-term interactions. Given those constraints, I personally find it hard to understand that a lack of affective facial expressions would trip any red flags. Inappropriate facial expressions, sure.

Thought-provoking. So what you're basically saying is that an intimate adult relationship is only possible with someone who has mastered responding to nonverbal cues? What if someone on the spectrum had no discernable issue with the features you described in your second paragraph?

I'm also in my late 20s and have observed this same "social code." It is one thing to make the point that you have made, which seems to be that there is a social code that must be followed in many cases in order to have sex and relationships (assuming equal amounts of genuine empathy and genuine verbal engagement). I have been in the "autism community," and while there's a lot of chill people (much moreso before ~2015 in my experience), there's also a lot of very outspoken people who joined because they suddenly decided they have autism based on very flimsy criteria. I see tons of posts pushing for autism acceptance every April in particular as well as every week or so on my facebook feed. I'm certainly not against the idea of true autism acceptance, but my view on the present movement sours in light of the statistics quoted in OP (which would seem to suggest that at least some are faking their acceptance) and the fact that many people I've encountered who would post about autism acceptance would also (for starters) openly laugh at me when they would see me …

I actually don't see this play out nearly as much with autism, despite the fact that there are very few procedures that will even slightly validate our condition. I would hope people would judge my level of empathy by my words and my substantive actions.

I started seeing posts about autism acceptance in 2012 or so. I still see them every April, and people will occasionally make posts of (for example) blue hearts on their social media feeds.

That's a good question. My definition of societal acceptance is to be accepted and treated in the same ways that any other person would in social/dating situations provided that one is not harming others or getting in the way of things they need to do.

U:"Bread and vegetables are both on the food pyramid, people always emphasize how important vegetables are, so bread is really important for you!" Me: "That doesn't make any sense, bread is not just as important as vegetables because they're on the food pyramid." U: "Silly lib, I didn't say JUST AS important, all I said was it's in the food pyramid!" I am actually liberal. Not in the "classical" sense that Jordan Peterson uses, but I am genuinely left-wing. Be careful with the ad hominem you asc…

According to a Tinder experiment, an Asian male model is about half as successful as a white man who is not a model. https://nextshark.com/tinder-racist-experiment-reveals-challenges-dating-asian-man/

Comparing two things does not mean equivalence. It is just that both are on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I am arguing for the validity of sexual needs not based on the validity of income inequality but based on their inherent validity. There is nothing more to be read beyond the scope of what OP or my comments say. If you want to directly respond to the points made, go ahead, but strawmanning won't help the discussion.

No one said sexual needs are as important as income inequality. It's just that both are on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, yet the societal response to one is very different from the other.

I addressed this in an OP edit.

If that is true, it is really not a good deal for the bald chubby guy who has had to wait a very long time while the same women who would "settle" for him were rejecting him.

Instead of affixing a label onto any pill, corroborate your statement. Any statement with no evidence is not made from any sort of high ground.

I already addressed your first point in an edit to OP and several other comments in this thread. I will have to read more studies on prostitution and human trafficking. I don't doubt that making prostitution illegal reduces human trafficking, but I will now have to consider whether or not it is truly the only solution.

Women of all races besides Asian or Indian are indeed more likely to reject an Asian or Indian man than a 5'4 white man if you go by the first study linked. In fact, being Asian or Indian is about the same as being a 5'3 white man.

What doesn't it fix? One could argue that human trafficking should be prosecuted more heavily instead of banning prostitution.

How was that list generated? I will discount fame since it is unrealistic to simply expect 99%+ of men to become famous.

All you've had so far are whataboutisms (in this comment) and ad hominems (in at least two comments). Try to discuss more logically.

Here are data taken from an okCupid post that was later deleted. https://imgur.com/a/mPd9W tl;dr: 90% of women reject a man for being 5'4.

Legalize prostitution, and regulate it so all parties are safe.

Prove the statements in your first paragraph instead of resorting to ad hominem and then we can discuss.

Women only find the top 20% of men attractive while men rate women's attractiveness on a bell curve. It stands to reason that if men "made themselves better," this paradigm will continue. There is only so much some men can do as well. If you are Asian and male, that disqualifies you from 95% of women of all other races and 40% of Asian women just because you are an Asian man. If you are autistic, there is an 86% chance you are single, and this applies to "high-functioning" autistic people. I am …

Your first sentence is exactly the point I was trying to make with OP. The "gaping hole" you describe is outside of OP's scope.

I will not respond to your last paragraph as it is completely outside the scope of OP. Your first paragraph has very fair questions. Men want companionship like any given person might. Men also desire sex much more than women. So it is basically both, although it is more complicated than that.

I commented this elsewhere, but I'll copypasta in case the original gets lost: "What do you bring to the table?" arguably has much narrower criteria now than it did in the past, especially for young people. That is why I said sex has become less tangibly transactional. In the past, there was pressure on young people to be married early. Factors like compatibility, education, social class, and income were very important for both men and women. Now, the biggest predictors of dating success are, in…

In the past, there was pressure on young people to be married early. Factors like compatibility, education, social class, and income were very important for both men and women. That is not true. Legalizing prostitution legalized prostitution, along with implementing a certain set of regulations deemed necessary. Besides the legal proceedings, how did it do nothing? How won't it do anything?

Sex is a need on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Men desire it much more than women. "Dealing with it" is tantamount to saying that people should just "deal with" things like massive income inequality, which is an issue that many are trying to solve, unlike sexual issues. Women increasingly want relationships outside of the age range specified in OP. When they are younger, their threshold for innate biological factors is much higher. What I say is supported by studies.

"We found that in the first stage of the dating process on Tinder (i.e. when deciding on whether to like another user), both males and females do not care whether other users have a job, nor do they care about their job prestige if those other users are employed. However, during the second stage (i.e. when deciding whether to start a conversation with a Tinder match and potentially organise a date), we established that males less often start a conversation when the female user does not have a jo…
