So essentially: monk mode during this time AND cultivating a power of belief in abundance by acting (and thinking and feeling, prior to this) as if there are two other girls are interested in me whether or not that is in fact a reality or not - or finding my abundance in God.
/r/askRPC15/04/20 06:52 PM
1

Sounds like you need to drop all the stuff with girls at the moment and focus on this. No distractions. Just dig into the Word and meditate on Jesus' sacrifice for us. When in doubt, always go back to the cross until it becomes your reality. Faith only comes from knowing God and Jesus and His sacrifice for us. I think you're right. I think I have been filling the void within my heart by focusing on women instead of filling that void with God. Contrary to popular belief, eternal life is knowing G…

Very helpful. Thanks for this advice. Being more mindful of my emails/texts is a good idea to bring this concept into practice.

I think my main problem is doubting my “confidence [of] who [I am] in Christ and what [I am doing] for Him here on the earth.” That’s the part that hit me at my core of this response. All of the problems I am having are coming from a lack of belief in God of who I am in Him. Part of me knows this all intellectually, but part of be doesn’t... and most importantly, the part that I do believer intellectually hasn’t sunken into the heart/spirit of my inner being. How do I reorient myself towards bel…

So DEERing is a culmination of NOT doing AA, AM, fogging, pressure flips, etc.? I may be misunderstanding you here.
/r/askRPC09/04/20 06:08 PM

This helps color the concept and understanding a bit more! Thanks for the help. It kinda sounds like DEER and STFU play into this a bit too and sitting in the silence after calm, well thought out, statements to others.

Passive sales while approaching others in an “active way” - a both/and way of doing things it sounds like.

What do you mean by "Don't provide reasons for the customer to not say yes."? All these other ones make sense to me. However, working on the abundance mindset is definitely going to be a process for me. But, working on it along with the mission.

I see, so the ideas can come in after 2 months (8 weeks - 6-8 dates) if I understood the content of this paper/discourse. In essence, this article really seems to talk about strong boundaries rooted in respecting and valuing ones feelings/heart alongside being authentic to oneself and growing in confidence as a man. The interventions that flow forth from the “machine” (sx: 2-4 days contacting for date by phone call and being brief in words, actions dates, holding frame for date leading) are help…

“Generalizing becomes very important. The woman will already be analyzing your behavior, your tone, your clothes, and such. What law is there that says you must GIVE the woman the DETAILS she wants? Quote: Just generalize all answers about you. Her: What was the best experience of your life? You: It was a trip to Africa. It was fun. And you? Her: Tell me about Africa. You: One night I almost got eaten by a lion..... Only tell stories that are true. Notice how my answers were about THINGS and not…

I read this entire thing and I have one thing that I’m stuck on (maybe it’s because it’s my preference). The mystery part about talking about things instead of ideas and feelings. I understand the feelings part about revealing feelings after the woman reveals them to you. But, why is talking about ideas bad, as a man, when vetting in this way? I liked the article overall. Thanks for linking it. Very helpful.

Hm, interesting. Didn’t think of that concept in that way before... quite true!
/r/askRPC07/04/20 10:14 PM

That’s true... I was rationalizing that she lost my name/number, but that was a self-deception I’m sure. I’ll read this, thanks!

Interesting approach. I’ll have to try it after COVID ends. Thanks for the insight! It’s an in-between abundant approach it seems.
/r/askRPC07/04/20 10:10 PM
1

I see. I think I’m understanding it a bit more. How would you say that you have applied abundance mentality during this time of COVID? It sounds like those example were from times before there was a stay-at-home quarantine (I may be wrong). The meta-understanding of the concept is coming into picture a bit more: not fearing loss, but being confident that you can make your own pie (not guarding the last slice out of fear of not having more pie), but is there another way of understanding this so I…

So would you say, too, that monk mode and not reaching out to women in this time would be a wise move considering the circumstances? I essentially want to "be attractive and not be unattractive" to maximize my chances during (if possible) and after (as it sounds... most likely) COVID.
/r/askRPC07/04/20 06:44 PM
1

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about just doing monk mode as well. What are you doing during the time of monk mode? Yeah, same thing happened to me last fall as well, so I understand that. I’ve been leaning towards the text for logistics only tactic mentally (due to having a hard time meeting any women during COVID or not approaching people while being out out of courtesy).
/r/askRPC07/04/20 06:34 PM
1

Yeah, this makes total sense. Been trying to get back into some soccer clubs, but COVID has been a bummer in this time. May just try monk mode at the moment. Anything that you recommend that is possible to do currently in COVID? I usually try to invite women along to activities I enjoy doing or am already doing, but a lot of my growth area is doing that in person at the approach instead of over text after the fact.
/r/askRPC07/04/20 06:31 PM
1

Ah, okay, that’s understandable. It sounds like you’re saying it’s more about discernment rather than one approach being overall better than the other. Yeah, just trying to be my authentic self in interactions rather than forcing things has been something I’ve been having to work on recently instead of overthinking things.
/r/askRPC07/04/20 05:19 PM

Not yet. But, yeah., don’t wanna put too much energy into it. Thanks for the advice.

I see, so it really doesn’t matter either way. Be attractive, don’t be unattractive. Thanks brother.

Interesting. How successful are you with that tactic?
/r/seduction07/04/20 04:15 PM

Interesting. Why do you say it was the right thing to do to give her my number and not asking for hers? Are you also saying it would be a lost cause to DM her?

Yeah, I know it’s a Hail Mary for sure. But, yeah, I think you may be right. Thought she may be more receptive due to the approach I’ve already done as well as the COVID situation making this one of the only ways to chat (making my teaching out a bit less “weird”). Thanks for the tips man.

We all fall man. But, don’t stay down. Get back up and don’t despair. Learn from the mistake and move towards your mission brother.
/r/seduction07/04/20 03:56 AM

“Hmmm. I don’t like that. I gotta go” sounds like you broke frame and emotionally reacted to her. Don’t send that text that you don’t think things are working out. It’s inauthentic and dishonest and incongruent with what you want (aka; a LTR). Don’t message her. Let her message you. You can text her in a few days if you want. Give her space and pursue your mission in life. Don’t make this girl your mission. It turns women off.

One part of me is seeing it as a good idea so my social skills/cold approach skills don't deteriorate (which may be focused on myself to the detriment of the other and not loving the other as I should; as I will come to from the other part of me). However, another part of me says that it would be a bad idea because it could create an opportunity for the other to experience fear from approaching them in that they don't know that I have had the virus, have gone through the quarantine period, and m…

I consistently get the same results. However, I may be an outlier there. I hear you though. It's more about cognitive functions, not just the letters. Plus, I see it as a baseline for self-improvement, not "who I am." The gospel trumps MBTI. I have taken the Big-5 though and find it interestingly correlated with MBTI. Thanks for your perspective!
/r/askRPC04/04/20 11:40 PM
1

Haha, the cognitive functions proved to me I’m an INFJ, but I see what you’re saying there as most people test as one really aren’t. What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses personally? I’m trying to connect with more INFJ’s who are ChristianRP, so it’s nice to meet a fellow INFJ brother. I’m the same way. However, I’ve found myself more relationally oriented in the past instead of being goal/principle oriented and ChristianRP really opened my eyes (among other sources of truth). How…

So you’re saying that it’s not smart or wise to cold approach at all and to just develop relationships I already have established during this time? If so, could you explain why this is? I could see that if I was wearing a mask I could cold approach, but I’m interested in why that would be a bad idea.
/r/askRPC04/04/20 07:43 PM
1

I see. Yeah, I know it’s not scientifically validated. But, it seems very accurate to my perceptual experience from what I’ve studied so far of it. So are you saying you don’t trust MBTI whatsoever?

Haha, I’m not married, so I don’t have that luxury! Positioned well, in what way? I already got it and have gone through my mandatory quarantine (I’m 24) and it was only bad for a day and a half or so. I should have built up immunities to it so I won’t get it again and won’t pass it to anyone (hopefully). Yeah, I don’t have much fear in all of this Panic, so I’m fine there. I’m doing 200 pushups and 100 sit-ups 4/7 days of the week as of now. Anything else you recommend adding? Wait, so you’re s…

I’m unsure if she was a Christian. I usually ask on the first date for vetting purposes so I don’t waste my time though. - hahah that gif. Thanks mate. Can’t do anything about flakes except just keep on growing into a better man day by day and taking this as a gift from God’s Providence.
/r/askRPC05/03/20 03:36 AM

Thanks. I see. And yeah, that makes sense. That was what I was going to do anyways, you’re right. Maybe I’ll meet someone else there playing pool!
/r/askRPC02/03/20 05:12 PM
1

Yeah, that was the confusing part for me, it definitely seemed as if she was interested in me. Some cognitive dissonance here is what I’m experiencing I think. Thanks for the reframe. Yeah, I agree. Trusting God’s Providence is helpful. I’m trying to see this as a gift from God instead of being self-critical and perfectionistic.

IHOP - free pancake day last week because of those gains! Lol I approached her at her table with her friend. Just went up and said I wanted to talk to her and I thought she was cute, etc. talked about her interests and I listened and answered her questions briefly, etc. Okay, ghosting is lame. I see what you’re saying here. Yeah. I was thinking about doing that anyways. I have some other plans at Church potentially, so I may just go do that. I have some other options. How long has the silence been between her last text and now?
/r/seduction28/02/20 05:22 PM

Delete the number and move on. Confusing, sure, but go on out and approach other women... and if she texts you back, cool. Don’t catch oneitis if you aren’t dating. Develop yourself and go to the gym, work on projects, do something fun you enjoy.
/r/seduction28/02/20 04:33 PM
2

It was more about overall shape/contour of her face. I was trying to rationalize (fight to generate attraction toward her) my attraction for her rather than it being innate. Very difficult decision because she was objectively beautiful, but not fully attractive to me. Being 24, I know I have more time and more opportunities to meet an attractive woman anyways. Back to mission. This is helpful. Thanks!
/r/askRPC25/02/20 03:54 PM
1

I agree with you wholeheartedly here. I didn’t burn with passion with her - what does the word for “passion” mean here in that verse? Is it mere infatuation or attraction, or both? Ultimately, I’m 24, so I’m young. However, looks are really important to me along with their taking care of their physical health. It all came down to not being attracted to her face and I feel picky and vain for that considering she had such a high RMV. She also agreed with all of the biblical roles too... super hard…

We went on 2 dates and there wasn’t any attraction on my end. So I let her know I didn’t see things going anywhere romantically.

Thanks for the insight brother. Never thought about it this way.
/r/askRPC14/02/20 02:33 AM

Yeah, just leave her be for 3 days and, if you want to (key words here), send her a text after those 3 days are up. If there is not a response after that, then “next.” Don’t get stuck on her and pursue growth.
/r/seduction11/02/20 08:50 PM
1

What did you say in the text? I’d just let her go if she doesn’t text or send a Hail Mary in 3 days if you want. Honestly, don’t put much attention into her and put your attention towards things that you enjoy doing to better yourself and grow inner game.
/r/seduction11/02/20 08:31 PM

Agreed. Thanks for the advice. Did just that. - Date 2 is in the works.

/r/seduction05/02/20 07:51 PM

Awesome, I’ll keep that in mind. I appreciate the advice!
/r/askRPC03/02/20 02:48 PM
2

Yeah, I mean, I know the “rules” of texting generally. However, I like to be more safe than sorry since I know that eliminating unattractive qualities goes further than trying to improve positive qualities. I got the date set up (Chuck’s advice worked). Any advice on texting in general? Not something that’s talked about a bunch on ChristianRP from my searches.

1

Okay, interesting. Thanks for the resources.
/r/askRPC09/01/20 03:58 PM

I agree on the last sentence for sure. Peer reviewed lit is mainly what I was talking about. 50% of studies cannot be repeated, sure, but the other 50% can. My teacher is all about research, so I’m trying to find some. Thanks though.
/r/askRPC09/01/20 03:57 PM
1

Totally agree. Thanks. This reminds me of a concept called Self-Differentiation from Murray Bowen and David Schnarch: https://crucible4points.com/crucible-four-points-balance Although this concept is empirically validated, it still needs to be “baptized” and transformed into Christ-differentiation instead of Self-Differentiation.
/r/RPChristians17/12/19 08:50 PM
1

I think I’m starting to understand now. However, to clarify/distinguish-between What’s the difference between healthy expectations and unhealthy expectations? Do healthy expectations derive from The Commandments of Christ and unhealthy expectations come from having expectations outside of The Commandments of Christ? Trying to figure out the difference so that I can understand OI more as well.
/r/RPChristians17/12/19 08:21 PM
1

So, essentially do things without expecting a result and purely because either “God commands it” or you enjoy the thing you are doing independent of the other person or result? If this is true, what can one “expect”? Or should expectations be completely wiped out of someone’s mind? It seems that expectations aren’t inherently sinful, but they become sinful when directed away from God and His commandments.

So, essentially, you're saying that the best way to vet is to just ask her to events and things you are already doing and gauging the quality of their following ability? If they don't join, then you're already on mission anyways. And, also, it doesn't matter whether they join or not because you learn from the situation either way and proceed with that information, while on mission, if I'm hearing you correctly here.
/r/askRPC05/11/19 05:09 AM

So, essentially treat everyone without sinful judgment/partiality and love others by bringing them to the knowledge of God that will increase their faith. Thanks, this makes sense. That's the goal after all... to make disciples.

So you're saying to mainly ask questions as "they want to talk themselves...", but to share "when you have something exciting," interesting, or pertinent to say... aka anything I find interesting considering I'm not trying to be in her frame when speaking, but totally in God's frame and independent on any outcome. Ah, I see. That makes sense. The internal life of purifying oneself of the passions and acquiring the virtues and keeping the Great Commission in mind. Did you mean to link a different post? This one is from the 200's, not the 400's.

So it's mainly about being honest in one's being (alongside words that flow forth from Christ in us) at the end of the day, it sounds like. So maybe it's more about balancing those questions and statements. I have a difficult time leaving space for silence in conversation is another reason I posted this question. Does that "comfort with silence" combine with a genuine connection at all?

They are different concepts, sure. But, after reading what you posted it really seems that they all come together in embodying love, joy, and peace alongside trusting in the Providence of God. However, there’s some discernment mixed in there too. For example, someone who lacks spiritual joy and peace would have a harder time with AM and A&A, and a person with less faith would have a harder time with OI. Frame seems to be more about humility and realizing where one is, however, ever striving towa…

I would agree with you that one becomes spiritually mature because you are working synergistically with the Holy Spirit to make the flesh a slave to you (self-mastery) - putting everything in subjection to Christ by acquiring the Holy Spirit... temperance, continence and chastity, non-possession band almsgiving, spiritual mourning, compunction, and joy, gentleness, patience, self-control, the fear of God, humility, peace, love, etc. So, in essence, I agree with you here.

Thanks for the explanations. I mean that they come together in that the higher one’s spiritual maturity, the more easily one will be able to abide by these principles.

This makes a lot of sense. I’ve read the sidebar for the singles section and downloaded the PDF for it. Thanks for presenting another example/perspective for a single guy like me. I appreciate both DS and your guidance on this.

I think I’m understanding this a bit more now. Thanks for the help. Back to mission.

>Not really. Generally, if a woman is interested in you then you can pretty much tell. I would only "ask out" women (AKA invite them like Jesus did... "Come follow me") who are already interested. You will 100% get a yes, so there's no need to play games. Ah, so the "come follow me" is pretty much just asking them to do things that you are already doing for one's mission. In that the "yes" or "no" automatically indicates the interest level of the person one is asking to "come follow me", this is…

Again, you're approaching this from the wrong point of view. As RC said, focus on the mission and then see which women are wanting to hang around you and possibly follow you. If you're interested you can just ask them out. If they say no then oh well. You know one more woman who isn't a good fit with you. Jesus on rejection: John 6:60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” 61 But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumb…

Okay, so focusing on God’s mission is the way to go in investing my time, resources, and attention. I’ve already read half of that book, so I’ll have to finish it. My question about “forgetting anything about game” is that I know that I need to approach still to get over the fear of rejection (even though I have come a long way already). Are there other ways to do this instead of merely approaching women?

So, essentially, passive game is to be worked on to build a foundation for active game if I’m hearing you correctly here. Wouldn’t God’s mission for us to become like Him in passive game by acquiring the Holy Spirit and then the active (thoughts, words, deeds) game that proceeds from that will be more “powerful” and attractive in that one is rooted on the foundation of God’s mission and then the mission is able to translate into active game more fluidly? To give you more information, my career p…

So, essentially, lifting, working for the Lord in ones chosen career path, and acquiring the Holy Spirit in The Church are the main “passive game” avenues. “Active game” seems to be generalized to everyone and not just girls that one finds attractive in that I’m just trying to be a better socialized/communicator, from what I’m hearing you say here in regards to “active game”. I have read both your book, The Bible, NMMNG, and half of WISNIFG. All of the other ones seem to be for already married m…

So, you're saying that "active game" can be used in conjunction with "passive game", if I'm hearing you correctly here. So prayer, fasting, and other spiritual disciplines alongside reading scripture, commentaries, etc. (knowing the faith), lifting, working for the Lord in grad-school to get my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy to help families stay together and abide by the Law of God in the roles that God prescribes for men and women (that being my career mission), etc. seem to be "passiv…

Thanks brother! Getting stuck in my head is the difficulty, but I'm ever striving more towards abundance mentality, amused mastery, and maintaining frame, in Christ each day.

Ah, I see. So "passive game" provides more of a social status (along with responsibility and authority) that attracts women more so that preselection happens more smoothly and constantly without expending valuable energy and attention that can be directed at the Lord and seeking His Kingdom. Is this a correct assessment, or is there more to this?
/r/RPChristians18/10/19 12:00 AM

Ah, so it's more about implementing both using discernment. Why do you say that "passive game" has more "pros" compared to "active game"? Thanks man.

That's why I approach. I do agree with what you are saying. I accept the responsibility that I can be the only one that can change, I can't change or blame anyone outside of myself. I agree.

The Orthodox Church is the Church that wrote the bible; it's the fullness of the faith and the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. The Catholic's added onto the faith. The protestants took away from the faith. Start with these talks and readings for insight into proper gender roles and masculinity: http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/230120.htm https://www.orthodoxtalks.com/talk-67-does-christianity-repress-women-especially-in-marriage/

These talks point out both men and women. The argument is stated on both sides if taken the time to look into the content posted. Men’s roles in accordance with the commandment of God in marriage: Love, with responsibility and power, and honor the wife. He listens to his wife in humble-minded attentiveness, but ultimately makes the decision, in and after prayer, that is discerned synergistically, along with God, for the good of the wife/family that will best bring it into alignment with the will…
