The Honey Badgers were key to me waking up. Especially Karen she was my gateway drug. They just get it. Alison has some of the most original takes I've heard and I'm constantly amazed at the stuff she comes up with. Hannah Wallen is amazing too with her series and ahedding light about how women aren't held accountable because we ignore their flaws or make men responsible for women's actions.

People always want to fire up the woodchipper for male rapists/pedophiles but never for female rapists/pedophiles. You're more likely to have apologists for the females who commit these acts or have people downplay the harm thats done to their victims. It's so gross the stuff we let women get away with. Yeah castration is a bit overkill and what if you end up castration a completely innocent man. How would they feel then? Big oopsy
/r/MensRights12/05/26 07:50 AM

I don't think it's hate-speech. However it leads to people being pathologically blind to the situation for men who are experiencing the same issues.

Because feminism has made men unattractive to women
/r/MensRights31/03/26 10:42 AM

Yes OP is just saying it's not unique to men. Men are the ones who created the apparatus to punish these people in the first place. It's crazy that men are defined by the negative things that they fight against but women aren't. Societies are more often apologists for women's crime.
/r/MensRights28/03/26 10:54 PM

Typical, This behaviour hasn't surprised me for the longest time. It's almost a requirement for femsle celebrities to act like this. You'd be hard pressed finding one that doesn't openly bash men.

Let's not turn midandry into another "women most affected" thing. Women bear the sole responsibility for spreading and not calling out misandry and enabling it.

This isn't even a "women's rights" issue. It's a human issue. Men in Iran get arrested too for improper dress and are killed more in protests. Men get less consideration when abused. Even in Iran

No, we don't hate each other. What are you talking about? Stop with pessimism. Men define themselves based on how they treat women. Women are also responsible for men, so yeah, it is also their job to take care of men socially. Women aren't encouraged to do that. They aren't held to a standard based on how they treat men, unlike men. We are fellow travellers, not nations at war, so yes, we have a responsibility to each other.

The girl was fully in the wrong, but I think the door was already open. She didn't open it. But she still had no right to film him. She should've just dropped the food and left. The people defending her are crazy. I saw a woman suggest that the guy filmed her aswell but he didn't. He was fully out of it. Anything but accountability.

What? Where did I assume that porn and only fans were like any other job? I'm well aware of the social stigma and the trauma that comes with it. It's not only glamourised in the media for that purpose. It's also largely due to the sexual revolution and the shift in our culture. Where sex work is less and less condemned, and some women actually see it as a viable path to make money, but most don't end up becoming successful, as you know. Yes, MEN (not just gay men) and women in the industry likel…

I'm not defending porn. I don't actually think antiporn is misandry. I was pointing out the double standard, but as usual, people like you only focus on women and downplay their agency. Onlyfans wasn't even a porn site to start off, but women turned it into a porn site. Women’s choices play a huge role in the porn industry. We all tend to just brush past the fact that most boys get introduced to porn at a very young age, which leads to them becoming addicted and women also watch porn and they te…

No, "The Divine Masculine" doesn't exist. Men aren't divine. Humans aren't divine. That is feminist nonsense we shouldn't inflate our importance. We shouldn't let pride infect male issues spheres.
/r/MensRights10/10/25 07:21 AM

Just because another group uses a term that others invented, it doesn't make it their's. I'm not talking about male behaviour in terms of being useful to women. You just read that into my response.
/r/MensRights10/10/25 07:17 AM
1

No, it's not. They didn't invent the term. It's not a feminist idea. It's just a term to help describe male behaviour and make characteristics. It's completely innocuous. You see feminists add the modifier "toxic" to it, and you think they created the term. No, they just vilify what they don't understand. You guys are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The shaming of men is due to enforcing of gender roles. With their distorted view of male behaviour. Stop blaming the word itself for how …

No they're not it's not systematic. It's not widely accepted by the government. Men are the majority victims of violence but nobody cares

Masculinity is inherently good because it provides value. How men naturally are provided value. So there is no negative aspect to masculinity just toxic people or environments that alter a man's behaviour
/r/MensRights07/10/25 10:04 PM
2

There are no negatives at all. It really depends on how you use it
/r/MensRights07/10/25 10:00 PM

I think you just mean gender roles. Masculinity is just how men are.
/r/MensRights07/10/25 09:59 PM
3

No what are you on about how did feminism liberate men it did the opposite
/r/MensRights07/10/25 09:58 PM
3

Not really, feminism as an ideology is morally bankrupt. The thing that defines feminism is the belief that men choose to benefit other men at the expense if women. That is an incredibly bigoted belief, and it's false. Feminists groups have actively stopped men from getting resources for their issues.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/10/25 10:54 AM

Sex and love shouldn't be mutually exclusive. Sex is unifying. Healthy marriages have healthy sex lives. Men value companionship in the long run.
/r/MensRights03/10/25 03:17 PM

Yeah, one thing about feminists that complain about men's behaviour is that they are almost always projecting
/r/BlackPillScience01/10/25 02:35 PM
12

It's a scam. They portray human issues as women's issues to line their pockets. It's been proven when people see an issue as affecting both genders. They stop caring.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/10/25 12:42 PM

Both the right and the left use feminism to achieve their own ends. Just in different ways. The ideology itself isn't right wing, especially not far right.

Mens Lib people are just feminists in my eyes. The PMC, to me, seems like they're throwing the baby out with the bath water. Masculinity is great, but people take advantage of it, but that doesn't mean we should reject it as a concept.

/r/MensRights17/09/25 10:37 PM

Even this statement is not controversial in certain corners of the men's issues sphere. Some say masculinity isn't real or that it's a tool used to enslave men, but that's very misanthropic, and it doesn't focus on certain aspects of masculinity that doesn't directly have anything to do with providing for women or whatever.

/r/MensRights12/09/25 05:52 PM

Exactly. The most catcalled person in my year in secondary school was a boy. Girls will talk about how "caked up" he was, and some girls will even joke about wanting to slap it, and I think some did, I'm not sure. I hate the double standard. Guys also talked about girls too of course, but they couldn't do it out loud like the girls, or they would get into trouble. Also, when Drake got leaked, grown women were giggling like school girls when they saw it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/09/25 02:28 PM
24

Women are visual, too. It annoys me when people act like women have a monopoly on emotionality. Men are also relational beings it actually takes less for men than for women to form connections. Men fall in love faster. Men might not even need a whole story for their smut in order for it to do something for them.

It's been going on for decades if not centuries. Men have been depicted being at the mercy of their wives. There is church furniture from the 11th century depicting a woman dragging a man by his hair and holding a kitchen item to hit him.

No. People stop downplaying women's agency and their influence. To say that humans treat other humans like objects is a fallacy. That's not how our psychology even works. Humans personify and can have sympathy for objects if they choose. We have an incredibly complex theory of mind. How can you look at the examples I brought up and not even look at it from the man's perspective. There are a lot of burdens and responsibilities placed on his shoulders that aren't placed on the woman. The woman's w…

How am I criticising women? I didn't say anything critical about them in my entire comment. I'm just actually shining light on the situation for men because nobody does. Male loneliness is not just about women, yeah. Male spaces are eroding. Male friendships are being undermined. Male bonding is not the same as it was. Male loneliness is just different from female loneliness. At least they don't have the whole of society telling them they are toxic. And that they are inherently harmful to the opposite gender. It really depends on the woman. Tatts and piercings aren't dealbreakers. I don't like tattoos and piercings at all on anyone, but I don't want to judge someone based solely on how they look. It can be hard at times, though, to ignore my biases to be fair.

/r/MensRights11/08/25 12:01 PM

It's because men want to be on the good side of women. If women disapprove of your behaviour, it's social suicide. Men base their identity on how they can serve women and women identity with how they are served.
/r/MensRights07/08/25 02:13 PM
2

Male loneliness is not just about women it's about society in general. Male spaces being removed. Male bonding being demonised. That's why men are lonely. You can't compare that to female loneliness. Women aren't just valued because they're useful.
/r/MensRights07/08/25 10:32 AM

Yeah, men don't have the privilege to be able to vent the same way women can without people looking at you differently. Especially when you complain about issues that are specific to men.

Let's not stoop to their level. I know logic doesn't work with these people either. But we need to show that we're better.
/r/MensRights05/08/25 02:59 PM

Lol. People still believe this. I know the original poster meant it as a joke probably but there are still delusional women and white knights that think this way.
/r/MensRights05/08/25 02:57 PM

Men hold themselves to a standard based on how they treat women. Women don't most of the time. So yes. They should encourage women to hold each other accountable bases on how they treat us.
/r/MensRights01/08/25 07:08 AM
1

Yeah, exactly. It takes women actually cosplaying as men sometimes for them to understand, like when women catfish other women by cosplaying as men on dating apps or in real life to see what it's like. It shouldn't even get to that point. Men don't need to do that to show compassion for women. They just do it automatically. Men have sympathy for pregnant women even though they don't know what it's like. They don't need to experience what women go through to show compassion. But in society as men…

Yeah. But it's not just about lust. Women can influence men without using their sexual power. Women also have immense social power too. Men see women as companions mostly. Even when men pay for prostitutes a lot of the time, they just end up talking to them or cuddling. Even at strip clubs, men cuddle with strippers. Men also pay for "the girlfriend experience" that doesn't even involve sex at all.

Circumcision is legal in every country, but fgm isn't, and it's usually grown women doing that to their daughters or granddaughters. Even with Circumcision women are a huge reason why it happens too.

I never mentioned oppression. Oppression is not a helpful word when talking about the genders. OP was talking about issues men face. Obviously, instead of having compassion, you choose to victim blame. If more women were homeless, you wouldn't be talking like this.

Yes, in education, teachers mark male students down for similar work, Men’s mental health in general is hard to even bring up. Men have a lower life expectancy than women in basically every country. Men don't have the same protections when it comes to rape and domestic violence that women have even and male rape in general, and domestic violence isn't taken seriously anywhere in the world. Men also make up the majority of homeless people, especially the ones who are rough sleepers. Men kill them…

Because men's sexuality has always been seen as inherently predatory. "Men only want one thing," etc. Men are seen possibly corrupting a woman if he sleeps with one but not the other way round. Men are constantly being accused of objectifying women and using them only for their bodies, and women who are willingly promiscuous are rarely ever accused of taking advantage of men. Even when Lily Philips slept with 100 men in a day or something who were probably lonely or touch starved. She was still …

During June in 2022. That was when I found out that it was men's mental health month. I started discovering things that blew my mind, like men being half of all domestic violence victims and whatnot. Then I started watching Karen Straughan. I knew of her vaguely beforehand, but it was through her channel that I started to fall fully into the rabbit hole it it just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

OK. So they could also be sympathetic towards certain male issues. People don't have to agree absolutely everything. Stop with the self-righteous gatekeeping. It takes a while for some to come around. Conservatives are also more likely to platform men's rights activists and hear you out. Compared to the mainstream, which is left leaning, who are more likely to slander and libel MRAs. They called MRAs rape apologists, misogynistic, etc.

Leftists are also less willing to let men do what they want they place more responsibilities on men whilst giving women free passes, on both sides men have more expectations put on them and if they fail it's always their fault even when there were circumstances they couldn't control. Men and women are different in some ways but similar in other ways. It doesn't take much of a difference in dna to show a difference. Due to how indifferent at best and downright hostile at worst when it comes to men sharing their frustrations and troubles. People think the loneliness epidemic is just about women. Far from it. Yes, bingo! Women's violence manifests differently and is often downplayed, and they use methods that are harder to detect. Another way women commit violence is like a mafia boss: by proxy (which doesn't get enough attention). Female psychopathy is also understudied and underdiagnosed. We have a huge blindspot chasm of ignorance when it comes to female criminology.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/06/25 10:39 PM
2

Yeah, it's just ignorance. I used the video as a case study of how the average person thinks. This woman means well, but yeah, the attitude of assuming the worst of only men you don't know and not women you don't know is quite common. She's definitely not a misandrist, but yeah, it goes to how these ideas are pervasive in even the sensible people.

A lot of things that are promoted as women's issues are just human issues like domestic violence, rape and sexual assault. They put the full blame on men to fix the issues. The infamous phrase" protect your daughters educate your sons " is a prime example of this. The wage gap too is also blamed on men even though its more of an earnings gap. Human issues don't sell as well as female issues.

Patriarchy does exist if you talk about it in the anthropological sense. It is just that men tend to be in formal positions of power, and they bear the burdens and take most of the blame for what goes wrong. But the feminist "patriarchy" doesn't exist because men don't use their influence to benefit other men at women's expense. Feminist ignore and downplay women's influence and power just to blame men. Acknowledging women's power and influence means they also have to take responsibility for the…

True because people like to question the severity of domestic violence against men by saying, " You're a man you're big and strong. How can this tiny woman hurt you?". It's the same with rape with people thinking a woman can't rape a man because he's bigger and he can just overpower her, but the woman can grab a weapon or use manipulation. If she gets hurt in the process of defending herself, he is screwed. When Terry Crews was assaulted, they used the same logic to say how could that have happe…

I wouldn't call her that. I would just say she's misguided. She did stick up for men in a previous video. I literally said in the reply you're responding to that a lot of violent men go through trauma. Not to excuse it but to understand.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 08:29 AM

Exactly my point. We should be cautious of people in general not just specific groups of people. Imagine if someone said they were only cautious of black people and that they should keep their distance because they are dangerous. When white people have the same potential yo be dangerous.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 08:23 AM
8

Yeah, but usually, men go after other men more than women. Even other male prisoners hate men who abuse children and women. The average man sees you as less of a man for doing so. So for the men that are violent they will usually choose other men instead of a woman.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/06/25 07:04 PM

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/06/25 07:01 PM

That wasn't really her point, though. Especially since men are actually more likely to harm another man than a woman. Violent men like that are violent towards everyone. Even in the video, she said that the guy murdered someone after that. Her point was more like because the guy is big, people will be less likely to harm, try harming him, or be rude to him when that doesn't happen in reality. People can always grab a weapon to even out the odds, too, so physical size won't really matter. Violent…

She does care but she kinda downplays what men go through because we are bigger to her that means we're not in as much danger. She acts like women should not be treated with the same amount caution. Its not just men that do these things. If she said be cautious of people in general that would be fine but she acts like women aren't a threat aswell. The guy saying that men say "what was she wearing" a lot when women go through this is stupid. I don't think incels hate women they are just frustrated, and that may come off as hate, especially when it comes from a man. If incels hate women, why do they want them so badly. It just seems to them like they can't get one. It's not the same as genuine hate. Incels get a lot of condemnation, mostly from feminists which are the loudest voices. Women do have high standards that if men had would be laughed at, but it's not the be all end all. There are women who will love you for you.

They are not talked about as being used up, but they are seen as doing harm to women and "objectifying" them. So, yeah, even when the roles are reversed, male sexuality is still being shamed.

Brainwashing. Men are expected to stand up for others but never themselves. If men genuinely tell people what's on their minds, people will downplay and diminish. Men are just too used to being in the role of agent instead of acted upon, i.e., being the victims of things.

Isn't it just gender roles. It's not really men's masculinity that's the problem It's the people that take advantage of it. "Traditional masculinity" is the a huge reason we've progressed as a society. Men in the past at least had a positive identity associated with their masculinity. But society has a knack for taking advantage of men's desire to protect and provide for women by burdening them with more responsibility. Even with respect to clothes, men are more modest than women. Men actually cover up more, and even at formal events, women can show more skin than men can. Giving men a positive identity and not attacking their masculinity. The dowry which was given to men. I know that's not a value but it's a tradition. We need a little bit of traditionalist just a little bit I don't want to dive right into the deep end and also progressive ideas like valuing men inherently and not for what they do for others (especially women). Men's value shouldn't be based on how they serve women.

/r/MensRights24/03/25 05:04 PM

Not fully, but just like not all progressive values are beneficial, not all traditional values are bad, but a lot of it is. It's not just black and white. Just because you're traditional doesn't mean you hate men. Even certain traditional values we've abandoned encourage women to have responsibilities and duties to the men in their lives, like men have duties and responsibilities towards women of their lives.

Patriarchy "theory" is just a stupid as the flat earth theory. You have to view men as psychopathic in order to believe such garbage. It's similar to the Jewish conspiracy theory about them controlling the world for their own benefit. Men have had their most intimate relationships with women for people to think men will willingly treat them more poorly than other men is the highest form of bigotry. It's so dehumanising.

Gross. Since we don't teach men that they're valuable and worthy of protection and that women can be dangerous we get men that don't even recognise they're own victim hood and the victim hood of other men since we constantly yasslight women into thinking they are sweet delicate flowers that could never hurt a fly people will make excuses for them. Yes and no. Patriarchy is the rule of man. People have such a narrow definition of power. Only including political power. Men were more likely to have political power, but that doesn't mean they could just do whatever they wanted. Men in those roles were also expected to fight and defend their territory. However, political power is not the only type of power. For example, the household was the primary economic unit in the past women, who had a hand in controlling it. multiple people would work i…

Yes, and the porn women consume is different from men. Women prefer erotic novels whilst men like visual porn. Both are for the same thing. To be aroused. Women do care for different reasons. If they can, they will suggest clothes for you to wear and alter your wardrobe. Women care if you're fashionable. There are lots of videos online of girls showing their boyfriends' transformation from before and after they starteddating. Men don't show much skin because men learn not to draw too much attention to themselves by dressing conservatively because they are taught that from day 1. Whereas women have more choices and are constantly pushing the limits…

Men's issues are its own thing. People try to make it more palatable to their own political party to try and cater to their sensibilities. They should just let men do their thing. They should care by default. That's sad. But not really surprising. For a long time society has condoned violence towards males from their wives punishing him for her violence. Yeah, you can disagree with them, but that doesn't you use the extremists in the religion as an example of how all Muslims are. That's what OP is trying to say. I don't like Islam either, but I can give individual Muslims the benefit of the doubt. The hate towards them is usually directed towards the men, and that's what I hate. "Positive masculinity" is just masculinity. Masculinity has inherent value on its own. A misuse of something good due to lack of maturity doesn't turn the thing from good to bad. Some men are just not taught how to use it. Ray: "Men usually are the abuser" 🤦‍♂️. Ughhhhhh, the fact of how pervasive this myth is really frustrates me beyond belief. Male on female domestic violence us the rarest form of dv but that's the only type we talk about. It's really sexist. Imagine if we only talked about violence black people commit like it's only blacks that are violent.

Yeah it was only in 1994 that male victims of rape were recognised in England and Wales. However under the law in the UK a man still can not legally be raped by a woman. This is the case in a lot of countries. Even in places like India.

"Boys will be boys" isn't a thing. People never justified bad make behaviour by saying that. Feminists co opted that word and perverted its original meaning. "Boys will be boys" is just a gendered version of kids will be kids. This is because boys are very hyperactive and have crazy energy and engage in rough play etc. People have never justified boys raping or hitting women. Male rapists we're killed and men that hit their wives were flogged. On the other hand it was very possible for a woman t…

Only girls? When most people (including men) throughout history couldn't get an education great. Suffrage wasn't the main reason for universal suffrage. People always forget about the chartists that played a big role in having the vote for working class people. The right to vote was more about class than gender. Only people with property could vote. Suffragettes were racist and elitist they only wanted the vote for upper class white women, not even for all women, unlikemen they didn't get drafte…

No, you don't know the history. It's not tribalism. Feminism wad rubbish from the start. It's not a source for good your frienddo those things in spite of being feminists not because they're feminists. All the stuff I listed was done by devout feminists bot coffee shop feminists. Feminism from the start never looked at the situation for men. It started at Seneca Falls in 1848. Don't compare men's movement to Feminism. Feminism is more than a movement. It's a bigoted ideology. From the beginning they have blamed men for all the worlds ills. Just like how anti-semites blame everything on the Jews. They have repeatedly blocked and shut down men's groups. Downplaying male victims of violence etc. I could go on. I'm not even an MRA but I can tell that the men's movement is not about degrading women and being "misogynistic". A lot of MRAs like Karen Straughan and Alison Tie…

Also, you said early feminism was "tainted."You can't really taint something that was rotten to begin with. Early feminists weren't initially benevolent at first until something came along to change it. Early feminists never looked at the situation for men, and they didn't care about the working class. They scapegoated men and libelled them. But I'm sure you knew that already.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Feel free to share. The more men share the less alien male victims of sa especially by women will seem. People already think only men don't believe male victims but it's also women too. Women are just as likely or even more likely to not take a male victim seriously. They think only men say "well he probably enjoyed it" but women say it too but people never call them out on it that's the difference. Anyway, I hope you bounced back from that incident.

Women are given way more leeway when it comes to breaking gender norms. Even today, men are still expected to be stoic and put themselves in danger to protect their loved ones. Women aren't expected to do that to the same degree as men. If a man doesn't want to do that, he is called a coward. Men are still expected to propose that it hasn't changed. Men are still expected to pay for dates, etc. Femininity in men has been scrutinised and shamed waaaay more than masculinity in women. People hold f…

It's not like MRAs have been saying this for years. The world just doesn't listen. The world is always trying to catch up with what MRAs say. We've seen this with conversations about domestic violence, sexual assault etc. If people listened to MRAs more often instead of demonising them we'd be able to help more people.

To be honest the right isn't any better than the left. Instead of demonising men of their own culture they demonise men of other cultures to make themselves look better. I'm grossed out with the way conservatives talk about non-western men especially middle Eastern men.

Yes, because that phrase is almost always used to demonise men. Whenever something is "male-dominated". People usually assume that the men actively excluded the women. There is always this automatic malicious intent placed on men's spaces. Whenever something is predominantly females in it, we see that as either a good or neutral thing usually. Females are never portrayed as excluding males or mistreating them within the field.

Yeah, when I tried to bring up the FACT that women have immense influence on society. Which makes it ludicrous to call societies "patriarchal." A mod said that "he won't tolerate any "redpill" or "incel" ideology. "

Japan is not patriarchal. The way people define power excludes women and their massive influence over society. Women's power doesn't get noticed because it's more covert than men. To call a society patriarchal is to ignore the women of those societies.

Miss, Even in the Middle East, you totally ignore the situation for men and boys. Just like a lot of people here in the west. Have you even considered that there are men in those cultures that don't want to speak up for the dame reasons? Honestly. In countries like Saudi men get executed more. And in the protests in Iran the majority of people killed were men and boys.
