There is a book that was published in 1739 titled "Man Superior to Woman" written by an anonymous gentleman. Which is a response to another book called "Woman not Inferior to Man" a book written by a proto-feminist that goes wrote under the pen name "SOFIA". I haven't finished it yet but it seems interesting. (It can be hard to understand because of the way he talks since it's from the 1700s) From what I read so far the guy'sapproach seems a bit harsh.
