I had been drinking, probably just a little less than her. Does that make a difference?

I got drunk at a concert once and started windmilling. My hair kept slapping people in the face. One guy moved away, the girls around me were all like "Your hair's been hitting me in the face but it's alright, it smells sooo nice" and swarmed me. When their angry hulks of boyfriends took note, the girls quickly had them smelling my hair, and they agreed. Instant de-escalation. Maybe this means something?

The way I see it, they limit your options in regards to job opportunity. I'd love to someday join the Marines. While Viking-style head tats would help even out my brick of a forehead, they'd otherwise keep me out.

We are a subculture, largely of men in denial, who go out still hoping to find some way to discredit the AWALT fad. Yet we all come back. What does that tell you?

Anytime I fuck up onstage is when I'm thinking about wherr I am in the song, where my fingers are on the strings. It's distracting. Conversations rarely go as planned. Best to go with the flow.

She's your coworker and she's 9 years your senior. I wouldn't go for it. Feeling bad about the other girl being hit on sounds like jealousy. There's probably a plethora of underlying reasons for why that is. You probably have better prospects anyway. Figure out what you want, and don't settle.

You will never have the sex life of your dreams if you can't take a woman home. You're too old to be living off your father's household. Go out, find some place to call your own and build yourself a life. With a good career and solid foundation, you'll be surprised how cheap living is.

I can't narrow it down but it's somewhat empowering being part of an oppressable movement. "I think this is true. I see the fault in your ways and am comfortable living against your outlook". Does my confidence good.

This'll sound dumb but can you elaborate? I've never seen emotion through someone's eyes. Through their face, sure, through their expressions, but all the eyes do is look out.

I'm lost with this. In my head it came across as "Maybe next time I'll have time to fuck you". I don't feel like stopping in the middle of anything, fun shouldn't be frustrating.

Oh, lord. We're an hour from each other and I've got some long shifts coming up that might last a few hours more than planned. I don't think I'd have the time. Part of me's tempted to follow up with "I should it him up, he still has one of my cymbals" but I'm not sure that's constructive.

Where can I take it from here, though? I get the impression this can't wait for when we see each other on Sunday.

"You're on her mind". There's a part I left out of the post where she says she went looking for his profile and something I tagged him in (he's deleted all social media) came up. Does that factor in in any way?

I already feel some sort of abundance mentality. There are a few I could arrange something with at any time, and with that potential in place I don't entirely feel like I'm missing out. Edit: I just don't feel a drive for them.

I'm not sure how well it'd apply to your situation, but supposedly the easiest, calmest way to get out is to turn full-out beta. She'll naturally lose interest and move on.

A quick search suggests this issue's mostly on the dad. A few months back, my social feeds were flooded with rumors that Trump's youngest son was a victim of this very thing. Gave the left one more thing to laugh at.

Lots of studies show most if not all people who claim to have no musical taste are lying. Assuming their findings are true, if you want to get into performing you need to find your taste. Go out to small shows. I don't mean coverbands trying to remember how to play Free Bird on a bar stage, I mean local bands beating the shit out of their instruments at bona fide venues trying to make names for themselves. You'll be surrounded by people who have obsessive passion for different genres and their c…

I hate seeing this advice thrown around here. Men above 30 have a significantly greater risk of producing autistic offspring than younger fathers, which is nothing any of us want to be doing.

As a musician, I'm a little confused: playing is an alpha activity? Joining a band, which many musicians do naturally, puts you in a group setting that demands practice, effort, performing in front of people, etc., at least in the company of the group. Makes up for a lack of self discipline, and all you have to do is show up. Sure, there's always that one guy who makes excuses ("I've got cellulitis on my leg! I can't play drums, guys!") but they're few and far between (and mostly drummers). I've…
