I really enjoyed this post. I searched for toxic femininity and came across quite a lot of interesting stuff.

Fat women are a fetish. Healthy women are mainstream.

"Nothing" in that context doesn't mean "nothing". It means "I don't want to talk about it". So it's saying one thing and meaning another. I believe there's a term for this in the English language, and it starts with an L. Again, this is the exactly what I said in the OP "One thing that stands out in particular in femininity to me is how lying is seen as acceptable, yet rarely owned up to, and often not even recognised." And if people don't respect that you don't want to talk things, shouldn't yo…

Think of all the times that someone has asked you how you're doing or how your day is going: did you answer honestly every single time? When someone asks your opinion to them are you 100% honest no matter how bad? If your boss is an asshole, do you tell him that or are you polite to him anyway? These are all completely different social dynamics from two peers who care about each other. If someone I'm close with asks me how I am I absolutely answer honestly.

beta men I don't think calling men who are shy "beta" is very helpful. I don't think that makes someone any less of a man or a human being. But that's a whole 'nother thread.

Men want confident, beautiful women. I've never had a problem at all with shy women. It's beautiful getting them out of their shell.

I never said all men did as I claim. Many do, and I am one of them. I'm at this subreddit, aren't I?

Unless you are a ham planet or hideous, heterosexual men just aren't that picky. The only women I've ever discussed this with who really understood it were lesbians. But otherwise I agree with everything you said. It works on both genders for sure, but the bar is abysmally low for heterosexual women Speak for yourself. I don't want to sleep with low quality women (at least not when sober).

I am pretty sure he meant it tongue-in-cheek when he said he was an expert. I found the thread title amusing anyway, which I imagine was the intent.

The guy dedicated this primer to Nelson Mandela. Really?

I disagree, I think you should try and be as much like captain kirk as possible in all areas of your life.

The internet is a medium just like any other. Is the perception of anything anywhere accurate?

This is the only pua place on the internet I can stand being around. I am not into the objectification and over-strategising that's quite common in much of the literature. I like how this place has a focus on being relaxed, genuine, realistic, and outgoing, not memorising routines and all the rest. I don't feel like this place is full of creepy dudes, which is nice.

To expand on that a bit - you should be nice to people in general

What should I do before going for the kiss? Usually I just sit them down, close to me, and try and read them. It occured to me that my chances would be much better if I did stuff before that. All I really do are odd shoulder touches to emphasize a point. Do I hold their hand? I feel like being shot down going to hold their hand would be much more awkward than a kiss shut down.

I saw a black girl in a snow white costume, I approached and said "Listen sorry but isn't snow white supposed to be... white?" and she stormed off. I found it funny :/

I've noticed just saying hi or hello works a lot better than saying "how are you?" first thing. That weirds people out.

What kind of a pathetic question is this? This whole 'alpha male' bullshit needs to stop. I'm not the toughest guy in the world, but if anyone treats me disrespectfully I call them out on it. And if I interact with smaller, nervous guys, I am friendly and respectful, not domineering in some petty attempt to make myself feel good about myself. Just stand up for yourself be nice to everyone and don't worry about following some kind of baboon hierarchy.

I go to a small university - I'd say around 15k. How do you approach a girl sitting at a table by herself? Like do you swoop in direct or open with the weather or something?

She has to go below parallel too. None of this partial squat bullshit.

Could you be specific? My classes have barely any women in them. I see a lot of beautiful women in the library, but that's the library... people go there to study. And of course you just see them walking around, but I am hesitant to run direct game at a small university, where I might become known quite quickly (and for the wrong reasons if I do a bad job). I have joined a few clubs, so we'll see how that goes, but in terms of just showing up on campus... I don't see a whole lot of opportunities…

I honestly don't get the grocery store thing. I am usually fairly concentrated on food budgeting and maintaining a good diet and I imagine many other shoppers are too. Not interested in women at all in that environment... except when I get to the check out and I've never had the balls to make that approach.

Why do you find it cringe-worthy, and what would you suggest as an alternative?
/r/seduction09/07/13 02:26 AM

I would argue that 'alpha' should be dropped to - it's almost meaningless and seems to mean anything from "good at seducing women" to "large, muscular and intimidating" depending on context. It's also, very, very pseudo-scientific - homo sapiens do not have alpha males in the same way as say, gorillas have. Instead of relying on 'alpha' be more specific with your words, say what you mean - confident, strong, whatever.

While we're on the subject, would anyone be able to direct to more resources that go into kino escalation in detail? It's a big sticking point for me. I feel like I can open alright, am a good conversationalist, can make people laugh etc etc but I can't even get a kiss.

It's not a matter of feeling comfortable, it's a matter of simply being unfamiliar. I can look someone in the eye but I have no idea how long or how frequently I should do it for. I don't have a feel for it at all

If you meet a womans eye in a normal day time situation, what is the correct reaction? Please be as specific as possible, eye contact does not come naturally to me at all.

I'm 25, have been balding for 6 years and now shave my head very closer to the scalp. I like the way it looks, but being very light skinned people sometimes make jokes about me having cancer, which isn't really the look I want to get across. I can grow facial hair to offset it, but bald head + facial hair can look very aggressive.

Cultural differences are real and do exist. Surely there are slight adjustments that one should make? Three big relative examples where there are real cultural differences would be eye-contact, personal space and touching.
