Im glad most of the comments are supporting the wife. There's even a highly upvoted comment that points out how men are allowed to want threesomes with another woman, but would hate to have their wife want a threesome with a second man.

This is why I don't believe in the whole "men are oblivious to when a woman shows interest in them" trope that's used to encourage women to chase or make the first move on men. Usually these men already have a specific girl they like, they just don't like you. Abraham from Clone High sucks and Joan of Arc deserves better.

I noticed that women are generally pressured into accepting male partners who like to look at other women or have very close female friends in fear of looking like a stereotypical jealous bitch girlfriend. I read this aita where this teenage girl was upset her friend started acting different(described as cold) because op got a boyfriend. So her friend started flirting and even leaned into her boyfriend and rubbed his arm despite op confronting her before. Of course the comments told op she was i…

Exactly, literally a majority of american males are overweight (assuming this is mostly american reddit it's). They immediately always attack a woman's appearance first.

I agree. Communication doesn't work when the other person simply doesn't care about what you say or how you feel. I was told to communicate with a coworker who was trying to start arguments with me over nothing. But when I said something she simply denied it and acted like nothing happened, no apology. The person who suggested to me to communicate with her is always arguing with her, so his advice failed. Or people who say "just sit down and talk like adults". Most grown people can be childish.

I've had people get mad at me when i speak up and fight for myself because I'm generally a "good, nice" girl. I don't mean to be a nice girl on purpose, it's just how I was raised. Ive had people be nasty to me and expect more from me for being smart and nice. But when I've had enough of their shit and speak up they get angry and tell me I'm the problem. And it not necessarily men who mostly do this to me, but other women. I had a coworker scream at me for ignoring her( I was ignoring her becaus…

Well technically your butt does need exercise since it helps you walk and lift heavy items. But it is ridiculous that women are being shamed into doing squats to "fix" their flat butt. It can literally take years to build a big butt in the gym and you most likely are going to get somewhat bigger and muscular all around( which alot women don't want).

It's scary and disturbing that having a specific body shape is a trend. Women's bodies shouldn't be a trend that goes in and out of style. What are all these young women with obvious fillers and brazilian butt lifts going to do when 20 years from now it's going to be something else trending? I had to accept that my body is not "in style" unless I get plastic surgery and that lots of current fashion(like fashion nova) isn't flattering for my body type. I remember watching a trailer for a show about a young woman who discovers her much older boyfriend's talking sexdoll and it looks like they become friends. It's crazy how much media sends messages to young women and girls to put up with awful relationships.

Omg yes. If a woman dates a bad boy and gets raped or beaten, it's her fault for choosing to date an asshole. But if a guy spends all his money on a woman and gets dumped, she's the gold digging bitch. I remember watching one of those truly/strange love type of youtube videos where a 20 something came girl is dating a rich 50 something former child actor. Exactly. Alot of older women are resentful of how they were treated when they were young. However instead of seeking therapy, they abuse young women around them. They won't abuse young men as much ironically.

I remember questioning gender roles back in a highschool, and some obnoxious smart ass girl was like, " Its your job, you have to wash your husband's underwear!" Me and this other girl were like, wth? We dont have to do anything if we don't want. It really made me question marrying a man.

I feel so bad for OP. Imagine spending 9 YEARS with a man who you think loves you and financially supporting and paying his rent and broke ass, who then turns around and dumps you for some woman y'all just met. It's funny how OP has been financially supporting her boyfriend, but then he wants to break it off with her because she isnt independent, but at the same time doesn't want her to move out, because she's paying a large share of the rent.

I had a high school classmate who loved Harley Quinn, she also came from a toxic, misogynistic family, and had a gross boyfriend who didn't really like her. She apparently said that she was going to make him like her before they started dating and believed bjs were a sign of love and wasn't a sin like premarital sex. It was a mess

Tbh, people don't really need to be a multimillionaire to age well. Anyone with a job can set aside a little money for sunscreen and moisturizer, and eat a balanced diet and work out at home. But I get what you're saying, that most women will not have the same resources or ease as female celebrities to look good.

I already started disliking men long before I came here. I discovered GC a few years back and then discovered this sub last year through a comment on GC. I know GC and FDS aren't 100% compatible, but these are some of the very few subs where women can actual hold a discussion about what a threat men are to us without pandering to the male perspective.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/02/20 04:41 PM
12

Maybe some women can. I did read Why Men Love Bitches and the part at the end where it says that the day your boyfriend/husband calls you a bitch means he really loves you rubbed me the wrong way.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/02/20 03:58 PM
21

I agree. Men nowadays will really talk garbage about women out in the open and be surprised when they can't land a relationship with a woman. As a younger woman, I've had vile, unprovoked, words said to me by males who were mad I didn't want to sleep with them. It's scary what easily accessible porn can do.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/02/20 02:24 PM

I agree with this post, but I feel maybe we should try not to refer to women who haven't hurt us as "bitch". We already get called bitch on the regular just for existing as women.

Not even grateful for a home cooked meal. We really got to make men work harder. To alot women new to how FDS works, this sub may seem extreme at first, but when you really start to have your eyes opened to how men really see women, it becomes clear.

What's sad is that the main reason women's weight lifting only started getting popular wasn't because of wanting health or strength, but just to have a big butt because some female celebrities decided to get bbls and keep it a secret that it was plastic surgery, even though it's pretty obvious.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/02/20 03:53 AM

Yeah, I definitely dont internalize what he said. He's a just another loser to me. I don't think he was referring to me as the pretty young woman, he was literally specifically referring to the lady I saw offering samples. I basically told him I didn't know her and that she was already gone. I'm honestly flattered if he was really trying to make an attempt to put me down, it just means that he's knows he way below me.

Yep. Why have children in your 20s when you're still figuring life out? What can you teach your children what you haven't learned yourself? ALOT of younger(20-30) parents rely on WIC benefits to help feed their children. I had one couple use wic with 3 little children including a baby. Why do this to yourself?

I think calling women "females" has been around since the 90s, but was more of a Urban African American phrasing. I was watching a talk show from the 90s and this black guy refers to women as females. I think it becoming more and more popular might be due to hip-hop and rap becoming much more mainstream. That's why I sometimes see more people on Twitter trying to speak in a ghetto tone even though they clearly weren't raised in the ghetto. This is just my guess, though. It could just be men beco…

This reminds me of Will Smith, who admitted to sometimes having his head up his own ass and appreciating his wife whenever she has to shake hime out of it. I won't lie tho, I feel bad for pickmeisha. She wants so badly to be liked and is doing what she thinks will work but ultimately backfires on her. I'm also sorry she has childhood trauma, not something I would judge someone for. Just not really appropriate to share with new people.

Absolutely, men were doing this to first wave feminists, which is ironic because men today like to claim that the only good feminists were the ones asking for the right to vote. But of course there are men who hate that women have a choice to begin.

When I was younger, i used to think (liberal) feminists were the true feminists, and (radical) feminists were ugly hairy man haters, the last thing I wanted to be(pick me syndrome) But then I realized that liberal feminists simply want to "play nice and fair" with men, while men are still treating women like garbage. Where as radical feminists know and understand the true nature of men and social and biological dynamics of men and women, and know we have to use it to our advantage as much as we …

It might be because he said he "might be interested" non-monogamy but didn't push it, more like a suggestion. I wouldn't call her "cheating trash", though. I was accused of wanting to "kill" my coworker by a anti-radfem sub for being upset that my coworker said I got sick for being transphobic. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/19 07:54 AM

I definitely felt conflicted about this. I know in general this sub suggests dressing feminine and I do consider myself naturally feminine, but at the same time I don't want to pander to gender roles by wearing makeup, heels, and dresses.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/19 06:55 AM
9

“Dress like a lady to be treated like a lady” That definitely bothers me, too. All my life I was raised to as a jw, I never flirted or dressed slutty, always dress tomboyish or covered up. Even in a button shirt and vest uniform, I've had men try to touch me or disrespect me. Being a "lady" isn't a bad idea, but it won't make men not see you as an object.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/19 06:53 AM
14

To be honest, the women in the article described sound more desperate that the women here. It mentions them also sending unsolicited nudes, faking orgasms, and hooking up, all of which this sub doesn't support.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/19 06:47 AM

Women don't owe you sex, get over it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 08:38 PM
54

Part of the reason I'm holding off from dating is because I don't want to settle and am trying to build myself up physically and financially. Nothing wrong with high standards. Men like to say "no man will want you" as if thats a threat. It's no loss to me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 08:06 PM
21

Yeah some of those guys do have an addiction and personal mental issues that make them feel like they aren't big enough. I would like a guy who just enjoys taking care of himself.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 07:52 PM
21

I don't see short men being judged here on this sub simply for being short. I see women not wanting to settle with short men and date men who they are truly attracted to. And also that less objectively attractive men may have complexes that hurt the relationship. Also I wouldn't say the women here are stuck up, we don't owe any man our time and love. Also it doesn't make sense to compare a relationship to finding a job.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 07:10 PM
13

I think if you're a lesbian the majority of advice here won't really be for you then. Especially since men and women are socialized differently and bond differently.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 06:55 PM
3

As for your second point, I think having men pay for dates is meant to weed out low effort men who don't want to put work into relationships. If you want to go Dutch that's fine, I get how you feel. I was raised not to accept big favors from because they may expect sex in return, but I also learned from this sub I don't owe them my body.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 06:50 PM
14

You don't sound ugly, do you think maybe the way you feel about your looks could stem from not aligning with european/Caucasian beauty standards?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 05:47 PM
31

Lol yes there's people actually calling him out on comparing FDS to incels and redpill. He even admits he doesn't know much much about redpill and doesn't understand dating from a woman's perspective. This is more reason for women to disregard male opinions.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/19 04:33 PM

red pill women supports women being dependant on men, this sub encourages independence and having a life that doesn't revolve around a boyfriend.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/11/19 04:01 PM
5

I mean I guess. I've never dated or lost my virginity, but I still recognized obvious red flags and ended things early with a guy i was talking too. I've honestly learned so much from this sub simply through other women's dating experiences and am grateful for that. "doing a disservice to society by marrying men with mental disorders" That's not even my entire comment but okay. Also, no one is entitled to marriage. I remember forcing myself to feel attracted to certain kinds of men(out of pity) because I would seem them complain on reddit about how women, even those with the same traits as them, didn't find them attractive. I would think to myself "oh I would date a guy who was____" and so on. I realize now those men just have terrible personalities and don't know how to talk to women.

If it gives you any motivation, you should be eating better because constantly eating junk food and pre made meals is expensive over the long run verses eating fresh in season fruits, vegetables and rice. Also you won't feel sluggish on a healthy diet. Not trying to tell you what you already know, just want to motivate you. I also have depression and it's a real pain sometimes trying to improve myself. It's like a voice in my head telling me I don't deserve better.

That really sucks. Those guys are trash. I'm glad you realized that. If you don't mind me asking, for how long have they been doing this to you? They all deserve a swift kick to the curb. I remember dealing with really gross boys in my last year's of highschool and wonder how they ever had a relationship to begin with. Of course, they usually fall through, but still. It seemed like they saw me as a challenge because I wasn't a slut. It's so annoying.

Also, I remember having a superold white man blurt "women belong in the kitchen" while I was checking his items out. Maybe he was senile, I don't know. I also believe back then, men simply held each other to higher standards for each other's respect as a real man rather than because they simply respected women more back then. Maybe "equality" has meant to men that since women are now working more, they can slack in relationships.

I don't think men really respected women even back then tbh. It's good that your grandpa treated your grandma well on dates, though. I do agree women's fight for equality has definitely changed the dynamic between men and women. But then again women used to not have the right to vote. And being independent of men was really difficult too. I mean, look at countries like in the middle East where women aren't seen as equal, they get beaten and murdered by their own male relatives for even talking t…

It's pretty obvious this sub is not related to incel or redpill. The advice given on sub is supposed to weed out men who follow the redpill.

The bar for men is set really low. I'm sure there are plenty of women with dating standards lower than this sub supports, why get so worked up over one woman's opinion?

I feel you. I'm working on getting healthier and working on myself more before I even consider dating.

I remember thinking when I was younger I was stuck being fat and ugly, but it's definitely empowering realizing how much control I really have over myself.

I hate it, too. These male customers are very aware that as long as they don't cross a line, you can't really do anything about them. They know how to be creepy or flirtatious, but keep it vague, if that makes sense. And they're usually always old, ugly men, too. Especially if they're not from the U.S. I say this as a mixed race person too. They probably have this perception that all u.s. women are easy. I don't know if you're American yourself, im just assuming. Also, I think because it's usual…

It's good you're realizing this and trying to make a change now at 18. You have the right to be happy, be "selfish", and put yourself first.

Men make it sound like women are doomed if we don't let ourselves settle for a loser and keeps our standards high.

Also, maybe don't co sign with your boyfriend on something he's supposed to be paying off. My aunt had co signed with her then boyfriend for some car he was getting. They eventually broke up and months later she had to pay thousands of dollars for him.

I remember being on a thread and a woman shared multiple bad experiences she had had with men. A user really responded with "people suck" no the men she met suck, alot of men suck.

That thread pissed me off. So many people think men should have total ownership over their girlfriend's sexuality. Like God forbid a woman has control over sex life. She gets called a hypocrite for not sleeping with her fiance when she's slept with alot of men before, but I disagree. She's doing out of respect for herself and her fiance. Women are allowed to grow and change. It's like men think once they meet a girl, they owned her since the day she was born.
