I would suggest getting yourself a few 10round mags, that slows your rate of fire and ammo usage, I find the 20 and 30 round mags are not good for range use since you blow through your ammo too fast. Looks like you are using federal, you might want to look at PMC and in larger quantities if you shoot regularly, I see 1000 round cases at $319 for the PMC, federal usually is more expensive. both perform great so save the $$

Actually it depends on the cost per round when purchasing vs the cost of the reloading supplies. the plinking ammo (.223) is typically on the bubble where the cost per round when purchasing 1000 rounds is almost not worth reloading the brass. I still police the brass and hold on to it. The larger rounds, 7.62 are still cheaper to reload and get a precision round, I see anywhere from 30 to 50% savings on reloading 7.62 or .308. I like to shoot 168gr match grade so it makes a difference.
