I've experienced this too. I wonder if it's some kind of ego thing where I like showing off. Solution for me was just to keep forcing myself to do it alone. Marathon sessions ftw

+1 Approach, approach, approach. The more the better - 10+ a day/outing is great. More more more.

Accept the fact that you are going to have to fail a lot before you get to where you want... really, it's thousands of times. (keep in mind some of those reps will turn into dates, lays, girlfriends, etc). To get better, you NEED to keep doing it. Get through those reps. I recommend doing marathon sessions - go out one night and make sure you focus on your sticking point (is it just approaching?) do that a LOT. Like shoot for 10-20 times per night at least (depending on what your sticking point …

Not sure if I'm answeing what you're asking but here's what I've got. Some of my best friends are platonic women. Some are very attractive and in a mixed social circle. I wouldn't want to hook up with them because I value their friendship too much (sounds lame but it's true....). I think that in any social setting have mixed sexes - even if there's no prospect of hooking up - is more fun. And it's really nice to have parties, go out, etc with a mixed group. Also, they're just awesome human being…

Thanks for doing this guys. From one day gamer to others, I really love what you do. I have a few questions: 1) What do your normal approaches - eg not being filmed - look like? 2) How long have you guys been doing this? 3) What's the most embarrassing / troublesome thing that's happened to you ( I remember in some video, a guy claimed to call the cops)? 4) When you just hit the streets, how do you break out of thr "logical"/"boring" mindset into one where direct day comes more easily ? Are you …

A lot of great comments here. What I do is remember: 1) everyone gets rejected way more than success (1-40 may be reasonable for direct day) 2) that there is some number for you. Some number of attempts to get what you want - whether that is an awesome girlfriend/wife, a level of skill, or just a laycount. No one knows what that number is. But in order to get to that number, you had to get rejected. Your approach and rejection, while a rejection, was still +1 toward your ultimate goal and it was…

I actually thought this was really lame but for some reason always goes over well. I walk up and say "it's (slowly say my phone number like she's writing it down)". Then proceed to bust on how she better be taking me somewhere fancy, etc

You mention that a big piece of your success was just having fun with girls. Were you always someone who was great at just having fun / being playful? If not, how'd you get that way? Any suggestions on how to become more like that?

I used to be deathly afraid of going for kisses. I took it as rejection. Now, I view it more as her "pacing" me/trying to not be too easy. And, while it depends on the circumstances, I generally like going for the kiss earlier as it declares intent. Off the top of my head, here are some examples of times I've been rejected and the eventual outcome: met girl by pool in hotel but I had to leave town the next morning, ended up going for a kiss within 20ish minutes (she was sober, I was iffy). I tri…

Yeah, that happens quite a bit. I'll maybe tease with "I asked you first" or something. I've had girls push back hard, being a little intimidated to open up first or maybe want to gauge what angle I'm coming from. I'll generally just go into that spiel. Obviously, I'll pause to think about how to phrase, and may talk about other thoughts of mine on relationships. Girls I've had this discussion with tend to really open up after I say this... sometimes even more than I'd prefer :)

As others have pointed out, he's shooting himself in the foot in many ways. But, honestly, this is the first step. He's making approaches, being direct, getting over his fears, destroying limiting beliefs. Add in some conversation, better dress, sobriety, and he'd be well on his way.

Funny, it's kind of a feminine perspective - to find your "match". The more I play the game, the more I tend to agree with the fairer gender on this. I guess a lot of what is discussed on seddit just broadens whom youd be compatible wit, thereby improving your success rate. You could focus purely on numbers, neglect self improvement, and do fine (id guess this is Paul Janka and Aaron Sleazys approach) On the othet end of the spectrum, there may be some people who have broad compatibility and don…

How many approaches have you been doing? How many times per week are you rejected? Where are you meeting women? How open with your intentions are you? How quickly do you ask them out/ make a move? Being 31 will make things easier, but it's stil all about at-bats.

Not sure about commandments, but here are 10 guidelines that aren't often spoken about but that have helped me the most: The thing that matters the most (say 80%) is number of approaches. You need to be approaching a LOT (like you need several thousand) to get to the type of level most guys want. Also, approaching a lot is what is necessary for success (even for those at that advanced level) as it is largely a numbers game. Having your life together (health, career, friends, hobbies, etc) is the…

Agreed that it depends, but for the explicit intent of meeting/dating girls (as opposed to just having fun flirting), in general, day game by far because: (A) I am interested in gorgeous women and, in my experience, they are far, far easier to meet/date/hookup with during the day. (B) Day game is more sincere. Sincerity and honest in general is a good thing. (C) It takes lots of balls. Something really satisfying about consistently putting it out there in the day and flexing those courage muscle…

agreed - in the past, i put waaaayy too much thought into follow up game.... thinking that was my biggest problem as i had little issue getting numbers. in actuality, i just didn't run solid enough game in the first place. now, i ask out fairly quickly over txt/call (i'll give it a 2nd or third try after waiting a week or so) and then just next her. too many girls in the world to spend my time focusing on the ones who aren't excited about meeting up with me.

Mark - Thanks for doing this. 1) What do you think is the best way to improve/calibrate? Is it really getting more involved in the community and meeting wings and just going out a whole ton or is there a way to do it more naturally? Understandably, this probably varies from person to person and based on what their goals are, but can you be specific about this (number of approaches per week or nights out)? 2) On your day-to-day how many approaches do you typically do? Are they direct? If you don'…

You talk a lot about giving value and how important that has been to your game, etc. Mind sharing at least three concrete examples of what you mean by "giving value" or "giving and not receiving"? I suspect what you may be talking about is a lot subtler than what is commonly understood! Thanks ! :)

Can you describe in detail your progression? In particular, what were the quantity and quality of girls you were meeting, how far along were you moving in the "seduction" process with them, and in what ways were you meeting them? What were notions (if any) going into this that were in your head due to corporate-community-propaganda, media, etc. that you found out to be untrue and you had to unlearn/move past (e.g. notion that it is possible to get any girl at any time, realizing it is a numbers …

Awesome post... Very true. Implicit to Bluefack's main point here is the nuance that everyone will have some bad experiences even when/if they are a rockstar. Key, I believe, is to recognize that one MUST go through those slumps in order to push the average "outcome" up and reach even higher peaks.

Hey man - great job. I'm also flattered that I helped lend some inspiration! Things that may be of interest... I'd say about 40% of the girls you'd approach are in a relationship. Based on that, for every 5 approaches you make, there should be basically nothing you can do about 2 of them... Then factor in external conditions outside of your control (girls not in good mood, girls with weird requirements such as religion or ethnicity, etc.)... The truth is that no matter how tight our game is, you…

Wow this is terrific - my all-time favorite post. I especially love the underlying point here of improving social-skills. That's really what it's all about. BLuefack - you offer some really terrific advice and insight. Could you be more specific about steps to take to go through these same realizations? Where did you go out? What kind of groups did you interact with? What did you pay attention to? What were the steps?

I believe the context (read: calibration) is what is important... I think the rule of thumb is that's a no-no in a bar/high-energy environment, but often preferable in the street/day-game. e.g., I'm pretty sure LondonSoul (supposedly great day gamer) recommends saying "excuse me". Though, I believe it really is all calibration and it'd be fine to use in a bar if the frame was not "I would really love to have a conversation with you if it doesn't bother you"..

Hey thanks so much for taking the time! I've seen some of your stuff and it looks top-notch! I understand your style is very day-game/natural/on-your-way-to-things... What is the best way to hook conversations when doing this (short of going direct, which may not be appropriate if there are many people around)? Do you simply find girls that respond well and want to keep it going, or does plowing with girls work well? Where is the best time and places to meet girls in your experience?

Great post! I believe the proposed hypothesis ties in very well with our theories on providing women with plausible deniability. The key take-away for me was that indirect propositioning allows us to maintain our previous relationship status. That is, if a girl and a guy are chilling/vibing and you say "let's go check out this awesome youtube video", and she denies you, she is pacing your advances and it gives you more time to make her more comfortable, make her more attracted ,etc. If, on the o…

Hey - thanks for the kind words! I'd say it's very similar to forcing yourself to go to the gym... It's kind of like "I know I am not in a mood to approach and because of that my results won't be good, but if I don't do a lot of approaches, I won't get what I'm looking for" kind of attitude... Best of luck !

Something dawned on me about a year ago when I was at an awesome spot in my life overall and it took a sudden turn for the worst... I was dating a girl that I thought was near-perfect for me. We went out on a short trip somewhere and we were fighting non-stop... I didn't understand why but the relationship was falling apart (turned out to be a very interesting lesson in female psychology!)... Here's a question I posted for the official IAMA that got some upvotes and I'm interested in hearing multiple responses from. Thanks, really appreciate your doing this! Newcomers often fantasize about being able to attract/seduce/pickup any woman. It seems this a big misconception about the community... What is it actually like to be a "mpua". I will typically leave two voicemails over the course of two day I wouldn't try to contact a girl more than once a week if she doesn't respond. I'd double-call once, leave a short voicemail (see below), and then maybe txt a week or so in advance. Really, the odds of the meetup having if she doesn't return your call are fairly low... "Hey this is herpderp, I met you the other night...call me back whenever you get a chance, my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx, talk to you soon, bye" It's common advice to no…

Good question! Logistics are such a big part of game. At the same time, I am not sure how much you should care (easier said than done, I know!). To be concrete, I will double-call (call-back immediately). Surprisingly, I've had girls pick up after the second call and things have gone smoothly (if she asks about it, say you thought your phone messed up). If she still doesn't pick up, I leave a quick voicemail: "Hey... It's stark... give me a call when you get a chance. My number is xxx-xxx-xxxx".…

Seconded! I am actively focused on day-game and plan on posting more when I find the time. My general perspective is I am becoming less and less interested in one night stands/bar hook-ups, and generally don't like the superficiality associated with that type of game... Great post man. I'm actually really happy to hear you say this because I've observed the same myself and I've been paying very close attention to when I've been in state to figure out how best to reproduce it. Possibly it varies wildly from person to person, but tips that I've noticed are: talking to random people, being playful/fun (this can be hard to build up the activation energy to do) going to fun events and meeting people/beginning to flirt (kind of like this party you're talking about, d…

You did a great job man, really stellar. Spending 40 minutes with a cute girl especially when she is out with her friends is no easy feat! Be proud! Few things to think about: 1) If you found a girl that is investing heavily in you, and that you've built a connection with, why leave? One girl is really all you need (at a time haha). 2) Girls love the chase/games. I think asking her out too soon wasn't such a great move. I do call twice (meaning call back immediately), and surprisingly, it appears to work. This is one of those counterintuitive things that I never would have done but several folks w game told me to do it, so I did... Reasons I've heard is that sometimes girls will go digging around in their purse only to it out (pun intended :D) just as the ringing ends, and are too (shy/shit-testy/difficult/etc) to call back. Interesting question! I have noticed that my biggest indicator of success is mood. While not always the case, if I look at my best successes, generally I was in a very social/confident/happy mood. I'm trying to pay close attention and figure out what causes it... Are you seated and are there waiters? Draw tic-tac-toe on a napkin, putting an x in one spot, and have a waiter send it over. She'll have the waiter send it back, engage in the game, maybe scribble funny/flirtatious notes on it. As soon as they start playing, feel free to go over whenever you want... Not that this is unique to a hookah bar, but I used this to great success the first and only time I was in one with a pretty amazing girl! :)

Good question. I swing dance when I go out to normal bars/clubs/parties. But it needs to be toned down (I have a tendency to like to over-do it). It's fun to mix it in with normal dancing. If you can get decent, you'll be able to lead girls who don't know how to dance on some fun dance moves/teach them. I think it does help with normal dancing because you learn about beat, rhythm, etc. and gain confidence in dancing... Then again, I am not an amazing mainstream dancer...

Hey - thanks for the input! I definitely agree that drinking gives false sense of confidence and many people use it as a crutch to approach. I typically don't drink much (I think I mention something to that effect in the FR). I agree parts of this were very sloppy!
