Tripods aren't as exciting as new lenses or bodies, but a good solid one is just as important for photography. I feel the same way. All my degree shows is that I spent the money on the tuition fees, and the three years to memorise and pass exams. Looks good to me. My workouts are a more casual than yours, usually I only do push ups, squats, lunges, planks and dumbells every other day. Though with the looming lockdown, that's a lot less walking around, so I'll probably have to up my exercise to balance out being more sedentary. And 100% agreed on the low carb diet.
