Why bother striving for legacy? History is being rewritten. Also a major concern on language. "Great" does not necessarily mean morally good. Hitler achieved "greatness" simply due to the scale of his influence, as an example. Nevermind that it was a negative influence. I would strongly caution against striving for greatness, as there are many terrible shortcuts to achieve it.

You haven't read up on China, have you? The one child policy created a MASSIVE excess male population (in terms of monogamy). The women there are unbelievably picky and not at all loyal. Can't blame 'em though, with all those options.

I don't like to do it though. I like being capable but that's never been a problem for me. Nah, the ego comment was a self deprecating joke. Also I said "stoke" my ego because it can blow up like a damn wildfire sometimes lol. Lots of guys work out as a confidence boost or legit because they just want to look good and good on them. But I don't care. I've always been a function over form guy and I'm stronger than the professional movers my family hired recently so why exactly should I make any ex…

You can find dozens of free (often broken) appliances online. Get one. Tear it apart, figure out what's wrong, fix it. There's a certain solace that only exists in an engaging intellectual challenge. There's a certain satisfaction that only exists in willing change upon the world with your own hands. I flirt with nihilism every day. Watching the whole damned free world go to hell is demotivating... to say the least. That is the other option. Fully embrace nihilism and there will be no more stres…

Gonna be totally honest, I don't give a fuck anymore. Once upon a time I was all for it to get the ladies, then later to make them jealous as some weird "revenge" after going MGTOW. Never actually needed to work out though because of my demanding job. Not toned but enough bulk to make other guys nervous. Nowadays? Why bother. I have no interest in dating. OP < u/KGabby > has a point but is simultaneously missing the point. MGTOW as a concept isn't about women. It's not about men either, it's about the individual man. He's right to feel that MGTOW has been hijacked. On the other hand women are the #1 reason men go their own way and are half the damned population! There is simply no escaping it. For better or worse disenfranchised men reached for a lifestyle they didn't fully understand to save them. For many men, like myself, it did save us. But i…

You're walking down some bad streets in Chicago. Would you WANT muggers to know you have a rolex and $2k cash on you? Predators watch for opportunities and balance risk vs reward. Maybe he even recovered and can live a happy, typical life after coming to terms with evil. Someone left Dr Phil on TV when I was a kid. I was playing Diablo 2 LoD in the same room, not even listening unless the crowd got uppity. The whole episode was paternity tests. It comes from nature as someone else pointed out. To expand on that, the ability to bear children is so damned important that men have to buy access to it. In species where the female selects mates there will be strong competition among men to provide. Some species like ducks and many insects primarily reproduce by rape. It would be fascinating to study the societal implications of men competing with women instead of each other... but there's no complex social structure in beetles.

Men are superior in many critical survival roles. Hunting, farming, building, war, any manual labor without mechanized tools. Thing is that today it doesn't matter. Anyone can drive a tractor to plow acres with minimal effort. Anyone can push the "do work" button and wait for a machine to spit out the next part. The various gender gaps we find in this softened world speak volumes on the differences of what men and women want moreso than capability. What women want is a common red pilled complain…

Anything on logical fallacies. Seriously though, you're approaching this all wrong. If you literally have an interest in mental disorders, by all means carry on. This whole thing was bullshit from the start. We knew before the lockdowns that it was only deadly to the elderly and sickly. Governments should have requested the vulnerable groups to self-isolate and take extra preventative measures. Shutting down entire economies will kill more people than the virus. You can do the same with diet. Ever notice that the more you eat sugar and fast food the more you crave them? Well don't eat for 24-48hrs and you can reset that craving right quick. Don't listen to people who try to tell you what is okay to consume while fasting. Your body is literally built for this. Drink only plain water and don't eat anything. But you must get exercise during a true fast or your body will eat muscles instead of fat. It's actually pretty easy once you get over the ~18hr hump.…

Don't rely on hobbies to distract you. If you truly want to live without a partner you need to accomplish that as a standalone feat by learning to appreciate independence. You don't have to walk that path. You could focus on getting good with women instead, it's your choice. Your discomfort is a call to action so take action, whatever you choose, whoever you want to be.

A big part of it is options and perceived options. With hypergamy in particular it can be pretty dangerous when celebrities and other high status mates seem "within reach" even though it's not true. So in short it'd look pretty similar and their parents would bemoan that generation as well. It's a well documented cycle. Also monogamy is artificial. Beneficial, but artificial.

It can be profitable to be in debt. Let's say you pay 2% APY on a loan. Your expected market returns are more than that even for basic index funds. If you want to maximize profit: Save up an emergency fund, make only the minimum payments to debt with low APY, put extra only against high interest APY debt, invest early. Though in this case wait for the market to settle down. And emphasis on don't touch the money.

That was the exact thought going through my head when initially reading the book. 'Why are all of these about other people? What the hell!' People will hold whatever batshit views they like. The problem is that other, relatively sane people listen and believe. Otherwise they would have no power. A cult leader should be held accountable for taking advantage of vulnerable people, surely. But when the majority of people are vulnerable we need to analyze why that is the case.

I suppose I wasn't clear on my point, thanks for bringing that up so quickly. I was speaking in response to a common red pill rage sentiment that feminism ruined everything. You're right, biology just "is" and it's the world we have to live in like it or not. But it is the root cause of many social and cultural issues at the moment so could be seen as a problem depending on perspective, particularly to the people I was intending to speak to.

It's amusing that people call this a "war of the sexes." Men never even put their boots on. Look at the MRM for fuck's sake, kowtowing and compromising trying to scrape up a bare minimum of rights and respect in the shadow of overwhelming public outrage. It says so much about gender dynamics that men are largely leaving the system rather than hurting women in this difficult time. And it says so much about female narcissism in the way this abandonment is perceived.

Monogamy is immensely powerful. It gets the majority of men productive. But tournament mating, like monkeys, is actually the human default. Men compete to be the best and women compete to fuck the best men. Anyway, back on topic. I heard an interesting theory about how that's actually MGTOW's fault. Fewer quality men on the market, so women are even less capable of getting that 'best' guy than ever before. Pair that with social media and all of these powerful men, even celebrities, feel so close…

We must not allow them to change this space's tone or else it loses its purpose. Not to mention we'd be next removed. Because of the nature of Reddit, this will be handled on a case by case basis by the mods. I feel so sorry for those guys right now.

...no. I won't speak to the China thing because I haven't done that research, but there is no precedent for that being discrimination based on National Origin. It's just regular violation of Free Speech which frankly is worse anyway. No point trying to drum this up as something worse than it is, especially when that weakens your position.

Fighting for females is a critical role of natural selection. Not an issue if we choose not to breed... spend your energy and resources on whatever you'd like. These great men were aberrations in their time. Look now and you will see millions of men leaving the plantation. Living for themselves. Evolution stayed put but men have finally inched forward just a couple meager steps towards liberty. This only recently became possible during the information age. I highly recommend Colttaine's channel.…

Oculus Rift S. Hold the controller normally because that's not the point. Steady, sure. But I'm talking about proprioception. Typical 1st person shooters have players moving their hands relative to a surface, ie mouse and keyboard. VR has players moving their entire bodies relative to their entire bodies. Touch your waist to grab more ammo. Look one way while shooting another direction. VR is irrelevant to shooting skill because it's still just point-and-click, you're not actually learning anyth…

Hell yes. Love is just chemicals in the brain similar to actual drug addiction, there have been studies on this. There's a reason it's so powerful - that dopamine rush is nature's call to procreate. But people do get something from this so let's not be so quick to disregard it. The popularized 'romantic love' of one person fulfilling all of your needs (and you, theirs) and sticking around for life is absurd. Humans are a tournament species and rampant adultery reflects that. Not to mention the l…

I could also argue that MGTOW have a tendency of questioning imposed doctrines. Would that not imply a wealthy supply of skeptics in regards to mystical sky daddies? The closest 'religion' I recall to what you describe was old Buddhism which totally banned women for being a 'corrupting force' which sure enough was their downfall shortly after changing the rules. The Abrahamic faiths decry female nature, sure, but ultimately place strong emphasis on family. It even makes sense at face value. Why …

Yeah, I'm not worried about western countries collapsing from within. We will undermine our own foundations, surely, but final death will be largely influenced from outside forces. Will it happen within my lifetime? Dunno. What I do know is that we are very near peak decadence. Enjoy the decline, men. It won't last forever.

I'm talking about the quality of the gaming market, not the size of the market. The size will fall if this trend continues. Capitalism worldwide. Well, you are a biological failure if you don't reproduce. From an evolutionary perspective, anyway. But we need to understand that is normal. The majority of people who ever existed have no living ancestors. If you have the option and choose not to it's not a big deal but be prepared for regret. As you say, women's role is reproduction. It's deeper than that. I think it's a manifestation of an unconscious recognition that men have authority and that women crave powerful men. Exaggerate those traits and add a sexual element. Absolute power, absolute authority, absolute physical response. I'd bet this rising trend is due to the decline of men's capability to hold authority. Women who would be happy with a man typically called a 'leader' can't even have that.

TL;DR and Aydin Paladin as examples, they play the entire vid they're responding to so as to demonstrate context. They even acknowledge the good points their target makes. Much more tolerable than the raw crazy and vitriolic fervor of either side.

We exist for the sake of existence. Life doesn't care what happens to you or me. It just wants to continue. I won't be tied down by a woman, a child, not even a job. Every time I feel that I've stopped growing I move on. Do I care about that impact? Not really. The world will carry on its trajectory without my genetic contribution in the same way western civilization carries on as men continue to drop off the radar. We'll turn to incentives, we'll turn to technology, but ultimately it doesn't ma…

You already have the answer to your question, so I'll tell my own story for discussion purposes if you don't mind. Made the mistake of getting into tutoring. I did well at the job but apparently focused too much on results rather than making math "fun." Remind me what my job is? Anyway, my female manager had a very talented female assistant who had been there for years and frankly did twice the work of anyone, handling paperwork and such while tending to kids. Myself (male) and a couple others (…

Make no mistake gentlemen, this is an add. Good will, reputation, and brand recognition are all currency in their own right. Let alone that they sell accessories and consumables... Will this help MGTOW as a whole? No. But it can certainly help individual men and it's a hell of a deal. Cheers, OP.

MGTOW is a symptom of western decline. The nuclear family is stable and a great economic foundation. It gets every man motivated. The nationwide prosperity we've enjoyed relies upon male labor. Family values, particularly in women, have continuously declined for decades... Need I say more?

It's even worse than that. At my old company they made the decision to go from weekly to biweekly pay. Backlash was expected, but the arguments were utter nonsense. After bills and food, I won't have anything left for the second week! Fucking morons. It's the same pay. They don't even realize that you can have money in your pocket next week if you don't spend it this week.

I believe in free will out of convenience. There is a strong argument that we make decisions based on past experiences. Our perspectives on which were determined by nature, nurture and other past experiences all the way back to birth. If ALL variables were exactly the same for infinite repetitions of any given scenario, could you ever make a different choice? Logic demands no. But what of it? If I have free will the theory ultimately doesn't matter, but if the theory is true I don't have a choic…

I'm on my side. Although red pilling made me sympathetic to male issues, I judge men and women as individuals and would encourage the same. As MGTOW is inherently individualistic, I imagine this is the norm. Sidenote, phone tried to auto correct "sympathetic to male" as "make". Huh.

Sorry, I couldn't find it again. The federal law changed in 1979 and there's been a push by women and women's groups ever since it gained mainstream attention to end lifetime alimony. But that's not what I'm talking about. There was a state law that enforced the above linked law against court bias. After a few high-profile cases it was overturned in under a year.

No. Most sex and marriage itself is fundamentally an exchange of resources and thus prostitution. It is hardly a leap to tie that into hypergamy for the understanding of women being whores. My (admittedly poorly stated) point was that these smack-down channels are harmful to MGTOW by association. They are necessary for red pilling and helping others through the red pill rage and displaying the key reasons why many men go MGTOW. Yet they offer nothing to men actually treading their own path. Medi…

While I'm sure that is a factor, the trend of "MGTOW" smack-down channels must have had an effect. Non-stop daily uploads ridiculing SJWs and calling all women whores isn't good for our image and may attract the wrong attention. I am more inclined to chalk it up to mislabeling and red pill rage en masse than diabolical manipulation.

Commit Combined savings You do not understand. Any commitment especially sharing of resources is antithetical to freedom. While I agree with your assessment that many unwilling MGTOW want a family, they have already chosen freedom (or at bare minimum safety) over the dangers of "companionship." I thought I made it fairly clear that they are conflicting paths but admit it was poorly displayed visually. The freedom checklist at the end was meant to tie it all together - MRAs and PUAs both fail that test. No, feminism does not reject male gender roles. Women are simply narcissistic. When the world revolves around you, any place without you is meaningless. Cucks have a different problem. They believe with their whole being that only a woman can bring meaning - and they must continue believing this to justify their actions and fantasies. Happily single men are in fact beacons for their madness. As fun as it is to be that beacon, know when not to be a target.

What happens when half of the productive population decides they don't need to work 50 hours a week to be "happy" supporting a family? This is well beyond text becoming digital - It's still text, there are simply more options. But this is a nation ending paradigm shift if the conditions for men continue to deteriorate.

Thanks! So we'd have around 16% celibate men by now. Jesus fuck. May seem like a weird question, but is that even sustainable?

True, but they can get it if they want it. They're just outcompeted for the men they actually want.

Hey, sure. Haven't broken into MGTOW content myself yet but it's coming. Would be a good warm-up. Email on its way.

Now just practice the thousand yard sullen stare of a broken man. Perfection.

23yo man here. It gets easier. You're beyond the hormonal peak already, just hold out a bit longer and go monk until at least you've got control of your urges. Can't say how many times I had a sexy lady on my lap making out while my entire being cheers - until the thought of slaving away for 18 years of child support or god forbid she 'regrets' it the next day enters my mind. As long as that shit can kill your mood you'll be alright. Also, jerk it like a madman. Hard to make good decisions when …

It's ridiculous that we teach Amelia Earhart in public education. Her claim to fame is literally that she failed to do what men have done for a decade prior by crashing and dying.

Unnecessary. MGTOW is unstoppable at this point. The communities may disband, but individual men will go underground and keep up the good work. Spokeswomen, on the other hand, would cause irreparable harm. They may participate all they like but cannot be allowed to speak for us - in the same way that each MGTOW speaks for himself.

We are in stage 3, though largely as individual women claim 'sympathy' and not necessarily membership. Not sure if it's an attention tactic or strategic subversion. This is where the cultural shaming language against MGTOW helps us. We are naturally resistant to stage 4 because of the mysoginistic narrative - blue pillers, at the present, are afraid to be associated with us specifically because they think it will reduce their chances with women. And frankly, what do we have to gain by fighting t…
