We all understand brother. 7 years and I helped raise her kids. Granted I pushed her away first but I know what made her want and follow up with the divorce was her having an emotional affair. Sucks because woman will always go chase the 20% you cant give them then realize later how good of a man you were.

similair to me brother except I helped raise her two kids. I'd be lying if I said I don't still miss her but obviously she doesn't miss or care about me. But best part is I still get to see the kids when I want all my money is mine and I am not financially on the hook for anything. They beg me to take them and stay with me and I bought the little one shoes because the old ones were so wore out and not because I have to but because I can.

Mine already went out and kiss other girl coworkers and has zero regrets and long as I’m still in her children’s life. Honestly I’ve lost so much respect for her it sucks

I’m getting better day by day but sometimes it just hits you that someone you spent that much time with it just OK with you guys not being together anymore, especially when involves children

and when that doesn't fill the void?

No. Zero legal obligation. I get to see and take them whenever I want. So usually, I take them a couple times a month and do fun things

No if anything I was cutting them out of my life in hopes she would see what it was like without me but then realized there is nothing I can change and I'd rather have those boys then not. I am all they know and love me dearly.

not wise but I am not on the hook for anything and Id rather them be in my life then cut them out

She is fixed and cannot have any. She would tell me she would regret it.

Yeah, it pretty much already got me to that point so I had to cut it all off

Nope we always kept finances seperate. Sure I would help when needed but I also had the most money. Our divorce was no contest

I know bro I appreciate it. I also know that moving on might actually be best because if there ever was reconciliation then It couldnt be because I sat around and waited.

I know. Your right. However I wasnt completely innocent I pushed her away and started the separation because she didn't want to move out of her MIL house. But in the end I tried to make it work and she claimed she was so heartbroken for months and thats why she did it. from FEB-MAY we were just co exisiting.

She has two kids I helped raised. I haven't been in there lives since the split. But yeah she finally took it off for me she says. But she was gonna keep it on there for whatever reason

I know man. I basically left it at that last night it was also nice to just get some closure either way where I got to my side and she got to say hers. She knows where I stood and I know there is nothing else I can do.

Because idk she has no reason to lie. We are divorced and I went no contact for about 3 weeks. She does seem like she doesnt want to so she knows the best way to get rid of me would be to say she seeing someone else or something.

Idk shes very wierd. like last night I said fine you want me to let you go I will and no hard feelings then shell like give me breadcrumbs to keep the convo going. She admitted I was the love of her life but she is very focus on healing. One of our biggest issues is she was never alone and jump from relationship to relationship and I would always tell her you have to make yourself happy. So it does seem like she is trying to do that. But I know how woman are. But she knows that I said by october…

I know it just sucks this is probably the third major heartbreak that I have had and its always the same. I try and heal and wonder and they are instantly out having fun.

I could but what would that do for me.

yep I feel like such an idiot... Like why did I get involve with someone with kids when I knew I shouldnt
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/26 05:12 PM

unfortunately theres nothing you can do brother. Just walking away and working on yourself no contact is the only thing you can do. If she ever regrets it, its not gonna be because you texted her some long thing. Its only gonna be because your gone and no contact. And if she ever reaches out youll have already built yourself up to where you then can decide if you even want someone who divorced in your life in the first place.
/r/Divorce_Men22/06/26 08:19 PM

yeah, well I tried that and she served me papers when I went to go pick up her kids to try and still be involved so you don’t do that to your friends
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/26 03:48 PM
2

Yeah, I was trying not to take it personally with the kids. They do still try and contact me and I had to quit replying for about a week so makes sense if they are moving on already.

I guess like the beginning story like why did you guys get divorced to initiated? Did you get no contact? When did she reach out that kind of thing?
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/26 10:50 PM

Yeah first time they hadn't seen me in a week they cried then this time it was just a quick hi and bye so I just figured I am better off gone.
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/26 10:36 PM

please explain this story. I assume you were no contact for awhile.
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/26 05:02 PM

Its because your already on your second divorce. My ex wife left me after helping raise her own kids for 7 years. First red flag should have been she had a previous marriage and a babby daddy she wasnt married to and I was the second marriage......
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/26 05:02 PM
5

probably but I helped raise her kids and I bet you no other man is gonna do that unless they that person already has kids and if they do good luck to them all.

I dont think so. Doing the work while still sleeping next to someone is impossible unless your a narcissist.

Maybe but in my experience every heart break ive tried to better myself and the woman always has someone in the wings. Maybe its to feel better but Im assuming those distractions wear off eventually
/r/Divorce_Men16/06/26 05:06 PM

yep coldest part is them divorcing you is them basically taken a bet that there life is better without you
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/26 03:02 PM

im so confused then why are you sad over the divorce?
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/26 03:54 AM

What did she say?
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/26 03:40 AM

I’m sorry bro eventually he’ll realize he doesn’t wanna parent someone else kid and she’ll realize it and apologize
/r/Divorce_Men10/06/26 08:48 PM

not that it matters but did she ever regret it or reach out?
/r/Divorce_Men10/06/26 07:30 PM

Yeah they have a kid messenger app on iPad. But unfortunately, I have had to ignore the calls and messages from them. Im sure shes gonna make it about her and say im punishing them or some BS but I did try and she pulled that so.
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 10:14 PM

agreed. I swore I would never do it. Then I thought you know maybe I was meant to be here to give those boys a dad they would never have but the joke was on me lol
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 10:13 PM
1

Lol thanks man I appreciate it. Yeah ive stopped contact with them all but those boys know I love them. If anything happens to them ill be there. but until then I cannot be someones punching bag and continue to be selfless for a woman that didnt wanna save her own family. Im sure some loser like the people she dated before will take my place but soon they will see what I did sacraficed
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 10:12 PM

well shes fixed so she aint giving a kid to someone else either. So she can either go date another guy without kids and hope hell step up or date someone else with kids which in that case karma will be swift.
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 10:06 PM
2

Yeah I tried to fight for that but like I said once she serve those papers on the first time I went to go pick up those kids. Made me realize I cant do this and fight for someone else's family.
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 08:40 PM

holy shit same thing lol. Did she ever reach out?
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 08:14 PM

they always think the next one isnt gonna give them problems that the next one is perfect where men will stay and do everything to make it work
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 08:10 PM
1

same bro same 7 years help raised her two kids and she started talking to a coworker before divorcing me lololol. Did she ever reach back out to you?
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 08:07 PM
1

Yeah I put my feelings aside this past weekend and went to take them and she had her mom serve me papers while I picked them up. After that night I knew I could never win this battle and that I would have to detach from the kids which sucks. She gets to keep living with her mom and the kids while I had to up root my life and change everything.

Yeah, I was always actively going to the gym. and idk about healing for 2-3 years Ive been through this before this is about my 4th heartbreak and I vowed that I wouldnt dwell for long or beg like I did in previous others. This was how I found myself before me and her got together. Unfortunately she jumps from relationship to relationship and never sits alone to heal. But jokes on me I guess.

same bro. 24 years old helped raise her two kids and now im 31 and she left. I got her out of being a bartender and helped her get a career in costco told her to stick with it when it wasnt paying anything and now shes a supervisor making good money and she decides that I just wasnt loving her the way she wanted..... so yeah...
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 06:43 PM

Yeah thats the thing the first weekend I put my feelings aside to take the boys to a card show for the day and she had her mom serve me papers at the door when I went to pick them up. After that I realized I cant do this to myself and suffer. I had to stop answering the boys call and texts hurt like hell.

I appreciate but it still sucks to give up so much time with someone help raise their kids when you didn't want too in the becoming. Then going living in the toxic house with her mom and everything to point that i was zombified and then she gets bored and wants to divorce. I should also mention im her second marriage and the baby daddy that went to jail wasnt even a marriage.

did she ever reach out or regret it? I know it doesnt really matter but it just tough to except that they dont want you anymore.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
