Yeah I dated someone who did exactly that. It took me awhile because I was poor (ish) and didn’t have a “fancy” credit card so I didn’t understand what was happening (he used it for food, movie tickets, plane tickets, rentals, etc.) but whoooo once I caught on and said no then bought my own (& then started to buy his & sending venmo requests) he got so mad. Like they’re so perfectly fine playing games but get some offended when the game misfires. If you were honest and forthcoming I wouldn’t hav…

I may have dated his brother. He would incessantly call me and accuse me of cheating while I was studying in the library because he would pick fights when I was studying at home. Loved that for me 🥰

I did it, too. I wish I could say it gets better but the feelings come in waves and you just have to let it hit you. I’m in the grieving stage - grieving for what I wanted that never was and now will never be. It hurts but I know I’ll get through it, I always do. And you will, too. Idk if perspective helps but the reason why I was so vulnerable was because I was in a really good space. I had moved to a better city after leaving a shitty relationship the year before, work was going well, I was ha…

I went on a few trial dates with a man who said something just like this - it went from “my dad is old school” to disrespecting my time and effort then jumped right into, “if I moved in with you your dogs would not be sleeping in the bed.” I told him that he is not invited into my house, my bed, or around my dogs and to lose my number. They tell on themselves in subtle ways to make you let down your guard then drop a MOAB on your lap to test your boundaries. My house, my rules.

Don’t forget the ones with an entire personality consisting of a truck, a gun, a booze, a carhartt/flannel/camo, and a misogyny/outdated sexist ideologies! (grammar mistakes intentional)

Imo this uptick in astrology is just desperate people looking for an easier justification of problematic behavior vs addressing the problems head on (misogyny, sexism, abuse, etc).

I’m not talking about mental illness - I’m talking about mental health. While there are commonalities within the venn diagram, one does not necessitate the other.

In the end they are still men and men have lived lifetimes thinking they know best just because men are higher on the social ladder regardless of orientation. Heaven forbid you criticize a non-hetero individual for being sexist/misogynistic/racist/bigoted/homophobic. Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you are free from scrutiny and criticism. Sexism and misogyny come dressed in all kinds of clothing.

He’s the epitome of a privileged white male who plays devil’s advocate with other people’s rights. He just gish gallops his way into sounding correct but when you really listen to what he’s saying you realize he’s saying a whole lot of nothing but, like, saying a whole lot of nothing in an incredibly confident manner. He just reminds me of that high school dude who won a class debate once and never STFU. Like he appeals to a certain type of boy/man for a reason.

💯. Every gay male MUA is given endless amounts of accolades for figuring out how to contour even if the rest of their makeup is complete trash. And every man, gay or not, has messed up my hair because GASP they don’t know how to cut any hair that isn’t short & 2A. I’m over men in general tbh. You’d think gay men would be a little more humble but the world has blown smoke upon their buttholes because they are men who decided to cut hair/do makeup/ put flowers on tables.

It’s only empowering for men because of misogyny and sexism - women are the lowest of the low so throwing on a dress and a wig at night is so fun, amirite girls?? Men in dresses has been a giant societal taboo for eons so men crossdressing as offensive stereotypes of women is seen as dramatic rebellion vs sexist and enforcing oppressive stereotypes. Plus men can just take off their makeup and chest plates and still be men. Women don’t have that option. And don’t get me started on how awful gay m…

This is exactly it: gay men are still men. They internalize a lot of misogyny in an attempt to punch down at women. I’ve seen some incredibly racist, entitled gay men in my lifetime but since gay men are still men they refuse to recognize, call out, or fix any of their problems. They basically ignore it all because the sexism isn’t reflected on them so why should they care.

Yeah I find it realllly difficult to emphasize with men’s mental health for a few reasons: they don’t do squat to help themselves, most of their problems are self-induced, they put the emotional burden on their gf/wives, and then turn around and try to blame women for not supporting them. Toxic masculinity is a vicious circle, I get it, but we’re all staring at the same solution - men just like to conveniently pretend they don’t see it. Women have literally died to get to where we are now & we’r…

Same. He was in his very early thirties and literally could not keep an erection unless he was throttling it purple with his own hand. And he thought going down on a woman meant spelling out the ABCs with his tongue - I was so embarrassed for him that I pretended I had to go vomit just to get away then broke up with him over text the next day. There were other things that prompted the breakup but the ABCs thing gave me so much secondhand embarrassment I just couldn’t look him in the eye anymore.

I once dated a man like that and just didn’t pick up on it because I never imagined someone would get jealous/insecure/rage seethe over someone hugging their friends. Then one specific time I ended up enduring days of mental/emotional abuse because I dared to enthusiastically hug a really good male friend of mine. I did not realize it was a red flag but I do now. No one gets to control my body.

It's much more common for "submissive" men to simply be "leading from the bottom". You're still just fulfilling his desires, because just like with other standard heterosexual sex everything revolves around him and his penis. This has been my experience. Men are truly pornsick - they see these acts in porn and build a laundry list of things they want to try and any willing (or even unwilling) woman is game. And I won’t even get started with the mental issues that come with men who say they want …

Surely! I will preface this all by saying a lot of these have been boundaries for the majority of my life, some an extenuation on a theme (like being respectful while entering or being in my house). They have all been reinforced by FDS. I will also mention that I have dated many terrible men. Mainly due to my upbringing leaving me vulnerable to narcissists. In these terrible relationships I have experienced physical, mental, and sexual abuse. I don’t want to experience any of these anymore. I do…

I can’t understand why men don’t call this behavior out. Porn, misogyny, depraved male fantasies - take your pick, really. One of my older friends once said men will put up with a “little bit of sexism” because it’s not aimed at them so they’ll never speak out against other depraved male behaviors. But then they can’t seem to understand why they’re all lumped together as trash.

A lot of them do. They’ve watched so much porn that any woman will do as long as she lets him act out all his porn fantasies. And women are socially conditioned to allow ourselves to be used as human fleshlights while sacrificing our mind, bodies, time, youth, patience, and physical pleasure. I have yet to see where pursuing a relationship is worth my time.As far as I’m concerned all men have to prove that they’re not pornsick and misogynistic. Otherwise, into the garbage they go.

A severely sprained ankle takes 9-12 weeks just for it to get even close to normal. A severe laceration takes a 8-12 days to knit before even the stitches are considered for removal. Cutting through skin and muscle tissue takes much MUCH longer to heal - 6 weeks is the bare minimum just for the superficial wounds to heal but doesn’t take into account damaged muscle tissue, severe internal bruising, internal bleeding, etc. The fact gyns throw out a casual 6 weeks is so incredibly rude to a woman …

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/10/20 10:58 PM

This was the part of the libfem message l vehemently disagreed with and always will. It isn’t empowerment to adhere to oppressive patriarchal standards. Women will never been seen as equal as long as we adhere to the same bs that has harmed women since day 1. Do what you want but don’t call prostitution empowering. BDSM isn’t empowering. Makeup isn’t empowering. Setting and enforcing standards, expectations, and boundaries while valuing yourself and challenging the status quo is empowering.

yeah this really reads as a man who learned to objectify women through porn. I hung out with a dude for a bit until I realized he grouped all women into pornhub categories. I told him to grow tf up and don’t hang out with him anymore. We don’t have to prove our autonomy to anyone.

I have a nice, succinct restrictive access policy for men and so far every man has failed the minimum standards every time, without fail. Can’t meet my standards? No access to my time, energy, or personal space. This includes friends, family, and potential partners.

When a man asked if I would participate in something like that I would always feel extremely uncomfortable and vehemently decline. MANY years later, when I encountered not one but two men with early onset erectile dysfunction, I came to the sudden realization that a lot of men have watched so much damn porn that their dicks don’t work unless they watch porn while having sex and using any willing female body as a fleshlight. I highly recommend not participating in male depravity.

Exactly. They think women owe them sex and use it as a source of validation instead of finding validation in other arenas of their life and bringing something to the table. Sex isn’t an end all be all and I do not exist as a source of validation. ESPECIALLY is that means I have to put up with mediocre sex with an LVM. No thanks, I have a whole life to live.

It sounds like you are very young. I am not knocking your relationship by any means; however, this is not very FDS. Your advice is ok for those who are already in a relationship; however, a walk in the park is not a date. It is a merely an activity with your partner. 💯 I am very wary of men who say they want to be my friend. One guy said that and then wouldn’t stop making sexually-charged jokes about my body (I asked him to stop) and then had the GD audacity to ask me to be his tantric sex guide (his exact words). We didn’t stay in contact after that.

That’s the correct question. This is also what I say when a problematic man tries to apologize. I don’t accept apologies- tell me what you’re going to do to fix it and I will hold you to your own standard. If you can’t hold yourself accountable then byeeeeeeeeee

This also makes me soul catch on fire. I will vehemently defend any woman from any man making fun of her body. I will shame and degrade any and all men with words that bite and bleed - I have caused parties to shriek to an icy halt, I have made men leave their own damn houses, I have publicly cut men down to absolutely nothing in front of all their friends and family because they tried it. And the ones who try it are always out of shape in one way or another (either just flabby and out of shape,…

I’ve been there and learned the hard way. I will also say, in the gentlest way possible, that they weren’t really your friends to begin with. If they were, they would have expressed interest in your well-being, invited you to hang out, etc. Also, don’t ever protect a man’s reputation - that enables him to continue with his abusive behavior while maintaining a social status high enough to manipulate other victims. I proudly told all my ex’s friends why we broke up because, a) they asked, b) I did…

I’ll add that the phenomenon mentioned pertains specifically to animals. Not humans, animals. If you’re (not just you, but really anyone who uses this as an explanation for poor human behavior) suggesting we look at males like untoward, irresponsible animals trying to reproduce as much as possible then we loop back to reasons why the bar of expectations for adult human males is in the fkkn ground. And this is why FDS exists. Using lions for example: the females are oftentimes the ones that catch…

My sentiments exactly. I learned a long time ago men condemn women if they do and condemn women if they don’t so just carry on living your life while they scream at each other in the comment sections. You’re missing the advice that has been provided to you by several other commenters, myself included. You’re stuck on his complaints and completely missing what everyone is saying: Sucking his teeth shouldn’t be your focus - * it is part of a larger problem*. Furthermore - why would you even want a man who disrespects your body to touch you?!? Please read the handbook!

Touching at random times is foreplay, though, someone shoving their dick inside of you when you bend over to pick up laundry is practically assault. You’re allowed to say no. You’re allowed to say enough. You’re allowed to have downtime. You’re allowed to have boundaries. But you have to tell him. ETA: I read your comment history - he isn’t listening to your feedback and isn’t taking your comfort into consideration. He’s basically using your body like a human fleshlight. I was a bartender at a high speed restaurant in a busy, bougie ass town. Sometimes the wait staff would need a little extra help so I would take a table or two. Men don't seem to have the same concern. They don’t have to - the ideals in relationships and marriage have been built on lies made up by men since the very beginning. It’s heart breaking once you realize that someone will lie straight to your face to get what they want while forcing you to sacrifice your morals to try and make it work. I, too, am a horribly honest person and I thought that if anyone was interested in me and honored my values they wouldn’t lie. How wrong I’ve been 🤦🏼‍♀️

Most women I’ve met have been socialized to be affectionate from a very young age; men, not so much. They’re not affectionate with their family, friends, or significant others but they expect it from women. Most men believe and/or are taught sex = affection/intimacy so while a woman may be affectionate, men either don’t reciprocate or don’t ask for it so they don’t get any true affection (& eventually don’t get laid either because the women in mentally and emotionally tapped out)

Plus they’re admitting that they think emotional manipulation is a viable tactic - it’s either someone telling me to k1ll myself, that they’re going to k1ll themselves, or that they had a friend in canada they never met who k1ll3d themselves. Men tell on themselves all the time - no woman wants a liar or an emotional manipulator and now they’re admitting they may be one or the other and/or both. It’s so blatant, it’s almost painful. I’m not so many words he told us that he exploits the fact that women have been told that our soul purpose is to seek out male validation. Also, all the verbiage he used was SO low level man. I would walk away the minute he used any of it in a sentence.

they have options - they can go get surgery, shave it bald, take prescription drugs. they just don’t and we’re expected to like it. plus the hypocrisy - these baldos criticize women aging all the time. everything from weight gain to hair loss to wrinkles is deemed as unacceptable when it’s women, but we’re supposed to embrace saggy balls, wrinkly man ass, dad bod, hairy nostrils, and a nose that never stops growing.

My ex repeated the same “I keep hurting you” for 4 years straight but never ever changed. It’s like they see every incident as a venn diagram with us in the middle instead of seeing it as a venn diagram of the same bs with him being the actual common factor. Really it’s because men have no motivation to change and will never have to change because they directly benefit from a system built and designed by men.

Was that the one where the woman was shot with her kid in the back seat?? As a woman who drives, I have far too many stories of men road raging at me for no discernible reason. One day I was peacefully driving down the highway vibing to my music when a man driving a stupid old mustang came out of nowhere and cut me off barely missing the front bumper of my brand new, limited edition jeep wrangler. Love and respect yourself more. Women have been conditioned since birth that we require the validation of men as if they’re the standard to which we should aspire. We have also been inundated with toxic messages from society, movies, and social media that our only worth comes from male attention. All that does is support men; it literally does nothing for women.

While true shame & degradation will indeed shut men up. I am an avid proponent of it but only when utilized appropriately to call out hypocrisy, double standards, and misogyny. However, I will humbly suggest only using it in a public setting as men will rage at a woman for calling them out (coming from first hand experience). That being said, men walk around on this planet with unwashed faces, smelly beards, grody ass toes, flaunting floppy dad bods, while generally being useless and unsupportiv…

I’m a woman, a veteran, and was suicidal due to rape that occurred when I was in the military. 1.) I had to fight tooth and nail WHILE STILL WORKING - even when I didn’t have the mental space - to force the military to punish that man. A lot of feminist (moreso the wannabe boss babe libfem) ideals are so white-washed and male-centric & those specific ideals haven’t helped women on a global level. Things like pro choice, healthcare for all, criminalizing domestic violence, rape, & hate crimes will help women on a much larger scale than messaging that panders to men because libfems don’t want to look mean or appear non-inclusive. Men have to categorize us as bitchy - it keeps us separated so we don’t have opportunities to tell each other all the stories of how we have been wronged by men. Once we start pooling our ideas together and create plans, rules, and guidelines we suddenly have FDS. why does an admitted rapist EVER deserve to have sex with someone who could potentially be another one of his victims?! Just because he had feelings? How is that help that poor woman he raped? How does that help other women who have been raped? WHY do women have to carry the burdens of a man’s literal violence against women?? Trash, all of them. Every single one. “Good” men somehow believe they will benefit from poorly behaved and outright bad men by looking good in contrast. But we can’t differentiate between the good, bad, or the middle of the pack because even good men will stay silent when bad men commit crimes against women. It is absolutely pornsickness - women are sexualized from the minute we’re born so of course men associate breasts with sex. But in reality, breasts are just breasts and serve a function. And men in porn are of all shapes and sizes so it’s no wonder they think women aren’t visual creatures and/or have a preference for how they want their partners to look. Most of the women I’ve met who claim to enjoy poly are pick me’s to the core: codependent, incredibly insecure “will do anything to keep a man even if I know I’m being used” types, with no boundaries. Like bottom of the barrel self-esteem.

It’s also interesting how some liberal feminism attempted to normalize polyamory yet never addressed the damage it did to women. It never sat right with me at all. We can encourage women to embrace their sexuality while having their own boundaries and informing them of potential harm.

Re: A why are women even trying to prove anything to men? if anything they, as an entire gender, should be trying to prove things to women. they have an entire history of being shitty to overcome and yet we have these women in the poly sub trying to hard to prove whatever to men who don’t deserve it. like they disrespect you and you think then fucking other women is the solution?? lort give me the strength to understand.

I’m going to tag onto your story for all the younger ladies re: paying mortgage. But first I would like to say that I am so sorry you went through this and I truly hope you are in a better place :/ The bros always have - and always will have - their bro’s backs, we really need help each other. This won’t be short but it is a shining example of how low a LVM will go after getting you to move in with him: I was in a relationship with a LVM who owned a house (he didn’t take care of the house or the…

To add on to your list: also consider a pre-nup that will protect your assets (whatever you determine them to be). If he won’t sign, don’t marry him. Marriage is a contract and the courts don’t care about your feelings, just state law. And I’ve never heard a divorce between a woman and a LVM ever being fair or easy.

My mom told me the exact same thing and whoo was I happy I listened. Every single LVM I ever dated long term (sigh) tried to get me to “pool resources” but I never did. I also never split bills 50/50 as I always made far less than they did but I did offer a percentage based off my salary and they all got so mad lol There are so many scrotes out there that see you as a bangmaid with money and some come dressed in expensive suits. Lesson of the story being, keep your coin, protect it at all costs …

I have also felt that way with my ex. 😞 Now that I think about it even the sweet ones were shit in bed - idk who told men that they could be mediocre and women would love it but it’s gotta stop. And now I don’t even enjoy sex with men so I just don’t even bother, I just take care of myself and avoid all disappointment 🌷

This is so common and the variations of presentation are endless :/ I dated this guy - great chemistry, made a lot of money, very attractive, could NOT get an erection - like was a sad half mast even though his body language said he was turned on - and he had premature ejaculation so things ended literally before they got started. I only tried to initiate twice before I said no more - he swore up and down we actually had sex but we never did lol He admitted he watched a ton of porn and had since…

Don’t let them waste your life - you only have one and LVM will happily waste your time while providing 0 value. Don’t let them use hope to manipulate you - the ones who want to change, will, regardless. The ones who manipulate you with promises are just using you. Always stay true to yourself and your goals, maintain your friendships and hobbies, never ever let a LVM hijack and dictate your life. I learned the hard way and don’t wish it on anyone.

They will literally do anything to avoid the real problem and fix issues. Meanwhile the women they encounter continue to suffer. So glad he’s a Real Feminist™️ that will surely make up for it (/s)

Yes- LVM don’t see women as anything other than a means and a way. However they think we can best serve them is all they care about. We’re literally not even human - just an extension of themselves as however they view us.

And like somehow that mysterious experience/knowledge only they understand helps them with literally NOTHING. So you hold this intelligence [that my simple mind just can’t comprehend] that puts you on an intelligence pedestal and yet you’re failing with the simple shit in life. [insert ok, jan gif]. Sounds like an excuse to me.

omg this brings back memories. my LV ex tried to claim the same thing simply because I had a corporate job. He conveniently forgot I lived in the literal mountains, in gang territory, was in the military in some really dicey situations, etc., while he lived with his mom until 21 (going through a rebellious stage he said) doing nothing but smoking pot, and drinking while avoiding all adult responsibilities and making his mom pay for his groceries and college classes he failed on purpose. But yeah…

Threatening suicide is such trash behavior. In a very low state of mind, after being constantly physically and mentally abused, I told him to stop threatening and just do it already. I literally got the <shocked pikachu face> but he stopped. I also permanently left and blocked his number. Once those words comes out of their mouths, leave. If you must, call 911, but leave and don’t look back.

Oooo I’m anxiously awaiting the answer to this one. While we’re at it - who told men to spell out the abc’s instead of, idk, actually asking a woman what she likes? No, Harold, I will not cum simply because you repetitively traced your abc123s around the general vicinity of my clitoris.

Oh no he sounds like someone I dated for a very short time period. It’s so depressing there are so many varieties of disappointing men. And that thing he did when asking you to stop speaking to that actor guy is driven by insecurity and a need to control you by manipulating your emotions, not because it would be the respectful thing to do. FWIW I know a bunch of actors and models - some male, some female - and the only people who asked me to cease interaction were the problematic LVM. You’re a g…

And the fact that you’re not his maid. Even when I made far less money and paid less rent I made up for it by buying groceries and other random household items. I made food because I enjoyed it, made desserts because I enjoyed it. I cleaned up the house because I hate clutter, actual dirt, and gross smells. I did the laundry, the dishes, waxed the floor. I would even make my SO at the time coffee because we had to leave the house at 5 am every morning. Pay for gas on our morning commute. Literal…

And the porn sick ones fetishizing the act of getting pregnant. Like it ALWAYS comes back to their dick somehow - oh now i get to do [specific act fetishized in porn women have nightmares about] and think nothing of it. So now even getting pregnant turns into pleasing them and it’s just- exhausting.

You know what? I heard that when I was a teenager, again as a young adult, and on repeat the older I got. Like, no, I do not find it honorable to be impregnated at [insert age] during [inconvenient time period] by [man who is a perpetually pain]. It’s like we’re nothing but Rent-A-Wombs from the time we’re considered fertile 🤮 And if that’s their main contribution to the relationship then I want nothing of it. I’ll take my unfertilized eggs elsewhere tysm.

I know this is true but there are examples to this rule that make me question it all on a very cellular level. One example being an old friend of mine - his mom’s side of the family has great hair. His dad started balding early and so did my friend. I’ve seen other examples as well and all my medical training screams about it being from the mother’s side while I’m staring at these dudes and their dads both balding.

And even then, their DNA or their legacy ain’t even that impressive - ok awesome you want a child who will have high blood pressure, heart disease, an early receding hairline, and a dad bod by 25 y.o?? Not knocking male pattern baldness but sometimes I look at the dudes saying this crap and I’m like WHAT LEGACY PLS EXPLAIN

Old medic here - the dad’s not knowing their kid’s birthdays really got me for some reason. And it was never the dad with like 12 kids all born on the same sounding day/date, it was like the difference between two kids. Like you really don’t know 2 kids birthdays? Your poor wife. Oh and the social security number thing,”my wife usually takes care of all that.” Sir, they’re your children.

This is my take on it all. You don’t get to waste my time while you’re trying to figure it all out. I have one life and it’s mine, not yours. I need someone who can contribute equally now. Be on my level or - and I mean this with 0 respect - you can just leave because I don’t need you.

I love how everything is the responsibility of women & yet somehow we’re still the weaker sex. Be a perfect empathetic little daughter, don’t upset anyone, don’t be upset AT anyone, don’t discuss your problems, date around but don’t sleep around, become a mother but make sure you’re still a career women because you’re a gold-digger if you don’t, don’t be stressed out about your sad sack of a husband but definitely make sure to get a man to marry because you’re nothing without a child and a husba…

I once accepted a ride home from a [male] mutual friend of a friend - I was wary enough to give him directions to a parking lot close to where I lived. Long story short I thought I MAY have been interested in being friends but eventually I just ghosted him (& blocked his #) for a litany of reasons: misogyny lite™️, toxic masculinity, still hung up on his ex-wife (they divorced over a decade ago), way too clingy, no hobbies, 0 interests in anything other than being a man, blah blah, and didn’t ta…

my NVM ex would get pissy if I got to work from home and omg the illogical fury if I took a paid sick day. I always told him that I chose a job where I could have a flexible work schedule/paid leave/health care/sick days and that he could quit his job if he didn’t like it. But he had no life skills, a high school degree, and a very niche trade school cert so ... he couldn’t quit his job.

Exactly. This reminds me of when my ex bf did the same thing (nice dinner, hotel, tiffany’s jewelry, roses trailing through the room, dessert on the table, drawn bath). I was so uncomfortable because if he had just asked me he would know I only like certain desserts, I hate silver jewelry, I hate the smell of roses, baths give me UTIs, and I absolutely hate stereotypical hollywood gestures of “romance”. And then after me not taking a bath (I mean, I JUST took a shower, beat my face, and lotioned…

I hate it when men say “I don’t know why I did it.” Yes but no one ever told him he had to be accountable for his actions therefore there is no way for him to understand it is manipulation. There are no search engines or professionals he could possibly use for self-reflection/improvement. Nah, it’s his gf’s fault for being a prude and making him do awful, manipulative things that make him feel bad. /s but almost srs because I dated several men who said this almost verbatim.

Because LVM can be a mediocre failure irl but in a god tier status online. Because they can fuck up in a video game and have no repercussions irl. Because the only place they win is in a video game. If they are good at gaming, they get endless compliments and ego boosts. When they are forced to face the reality of their mediocre selves and how useless they are irl they become sullen and defensively aggressive.
