Thats true, but let me ask you this. How far would therapist go to justify patients behavior? Would stealing be justifiable? Maybe? Pushing 80 year old lady down the stairs because she has been horrible person? Or something like from Crime and Punishment? I mean, I actually agree its ok if she has guilt she goes to therapist, but the way she approached this is with most pride. If you read her facebook and instagram page she talks about emancipation of women, and she wanted to approach journalist…

Of course. But imagine your child of 6 years get cancer, and it is really hard for you. Child will ruin your happiness, but is it ok to abandon him on streets? Or your mother who has MS, one day you just dissapear because she is ruining your happiness? We are tribal beings. We care for each other, we stick together. That is how we survived and evolved. Margaret Mead said first sign of civilisation is when someone mend your broken bone, because animals cannot do that. We evolved and survived in g…

Great answer. This alarms me so much as I suffer from mental health and been undergoing some group therapies. There is definitely some truth in that as I often felt as an outcast in those groups, someone who shouldnt dared to label himself as victim. One therapist in particular who was more than assistent was brutal towards few men in group, on passive aggressive ways by ignoring them or not giving them right to talk, diminishing their trauma experience (as for me) and blowing up women trauma ex…

I dont dismiss anyone suffering with mental health and their pain, as I went through through hell too. I have big empathy for my fellow sufferers, including you too I dismiss people who write those articles like some contest who is suffering more, who is in pain more, and often sending messages they dont give any damn men are having suicides, even supporting the notion that this is happening as world would be a better place. You would be surprised how many feminists think like that

Thanks, same to you. There are guys who do that too, of course, I never said there wasnt. But I just have a weak spot in therapy groups on people who try really hard to make a victim of themselves and blaming others. Im just tired of that, when Im going there to find practical solutions for my life. I dissaprove that behavior in men as in women. And sometimes poor experienced therapists feed those people their victim mentality. I much more like therapists who would give you a slap in the face. I…

Im bipolar also. And had some serious plans to kill myself. Of course there are some fake men and women suicides, but its just the fact that there is big crisis of men suicides right now, and nobody cares about it. And your hypothesis about guns dont really hold water if you live in EU, as I do, because its strictly prohibited for anyone to buy guns. Americans can buy guns, but as far as I know the percentage of suicide is not so different Cutting is just form of self agression, not suicide. I t…

As someone suffering from mental health, I pretty much know about this stuff a lot, as I talked with other mental patients, male and female. This is very hush hush but most (not all) females who tried suicide is just cry for help and something called pseudo suicide. The things i heard.... Woman texted most people she knew hour before attempting suicide and drank 6 sleeping pills, or the same story but aspirins, or there is the story one woman cut her legs to bleed. One of the patients dared to a…

Transition m2f is twice, or even thrice times comon than f2m. And this is often the reason. Even more the reason, while its not OP-s, is that it's much more comfortable in this society to be labelized as victim. I support you, I often thought about it, but just on the paper to fuck with everyones mind

True. But where is the attraction? When man is attracted to woman its often very straightforward without hidden agenda ehy, but they pick stronger partners because they feel safe? Its very simmilar to wealth, if you are better situated, you will be a better choice than someone who is not. Genuinely, do they like us at all? XD Anyhow, thx for the answer
/r/MensRights22/03/23 06:12 PM

I completely agree what OP said. But...what is hazy mistery to me, is if they feel so much threatened by physical strength, how come they are also so much attracted to it? Strong, agressive, tall...they are attracted to those attributes. So why do they feel threatened? Its like men like to hdate with beautiful partner but feel threatened because they arent as much beautiful as they other halves. Its all very confusing, at least to me :/

I would agree with you as that is how series started and developed in 90s. But after first ten seasons, Matt Groening started to work on other projects and quality went down the drain. There and then through years I watch the episode of Simpsons, and latest season I masochisticaly watched all episodes in season. It's terrible what they did, the whole paradigm has changed. Homer is even more toxic and stupid, Bart (from one of lead roles in 90s) is almost like NPC. Marge and Lisa had most progres…

Most people who want to end their lives are the one who do not have any ties in this world. People get homeless and forgotten, and nobody even knows who those homeless people are. If nobody notices your absence in this world for the whole week, most probably nobody cares you die and therefor it's not selfish, is it

It seems from your arguments you don't really understand mental health. If you are feeling physical pain or even being tortured it's natural for you to wish end. Just because you don't see it from outside you don't know how much pain and torture someone has from the inside. Until you have it

I found out today that lots of witches were men. Only 25 percent of witches were accused. There were not millions of witches killed, but thousands. I would not be surprised that whole thing is blown away just for a blowing up out of proportions attrocities men did to women. Witch-hunting was really women-hunting, since most witches were women In England the majority of those accused were women. A lot of the Teen/High School type of movies were like that. The cheerleader would be with some dickhead jock but the nerdy guy really likes her. Somehow the nerdy guy ends up with the chick because she realized how sweet and sensitive and caring he is or something This is exactly what I was referencing too! Yeah, but you are talking about the real life. Point of my (unfortunately) long post is tv does not correspond with real life, and kids who watch tv even in pre-teen years will mess up their core belief system. One of big thing about this teen comedies of 80s and 90s is women saves the day. Women fixes everything. Women is Mario, and men is princess Peach. And dont underestimate kids brain to take those beliefs as granted. Its not about good guy or bad guy. Its about how tv shows and movies core…

Person on my FB in her 40s is calling Facebook mysogynist because she cannot post upper body naked pics of herself, while its perfectly ok for men to post upper body naked. She also declares herself as a feminist. I wanted to reply that whole radical feminism movement was about forbidding nudity and pornography content out of the earth, but it wasnt worth of backlash. Somebody said there we think they are NPCs. Well, average man in their eyes is pretty much NPC. They have this delusion that if they met one man, theyve met all men, like we have some kind od hive mind or something. That we dont have different thoughts and personalities, we are all part of bro culture, or some other nuisance. Also every man is inherently born with mysoginy, so they start to treat us like shit from very early in life

I always thought when they say patriarchy they think about some super secret club where we share our secrets, go without telling them, having fun without them and rule the world. Something like illuminati. In reality its them who have institutions paid by the guverment where only feminist come in, not even male feminist, and talk among themselves how much they hate men and how will they tweak society in their advantage. Let me say from the hat, lots of theories Freud said were debunked. But also, he was a pioneer and did a lot for todays psychology and psychiatry. He was just a pioneer and did theories. But, he also did a lot for women in that time. People back then believed women have sickness called hysteria and its coming from their wombs. Freud didnt believed it, and by his own research treating his women patients he debunked hysteria and discovered a lot of cause is from supressed trauma. So he really did …

Of course you dont. This logic is flawed. Feminism is ideology and political movement. Attacking ideology is not attacking women. It is two separate things. Feminist think everybody needs to be feminist, or he or she is misogynist. In every ideology, if you are against it, you are spreading hate. In fascism and nazism, if you are not in ideology you are against the state. In communism if you dont agree with politics you are part of bourgeoisie. In this sub women was never an enemy. Sure, there will be some trolls on comments, as they always are, but MRA started as an oposition for 3rd and 4th wave feminism. It is response that feminism isnt about equality, and its not good for women and men. It doesnt make us equal, it just makes us more estranged, more different. It creates a gap between us. Word mysoginy is just a trump card which shortcuts person to an advantage. It is very black and white view. I was in conversation with one person today and I challenged his views and he calls me a leftard. I am a bit left, but I like to challenge people to think critically, I use that with my leftist friends too. Of course the same goes for other shortcut words androginy, patriarchy, incel. So it is really a thing people talk about? Thanks for the reference. Do you know maybe where that myth came from? It definitely sounds ludicrous to me, especially because at that time more than today working at factories was compared like working in sweatshops. And here they depicted it as happy and easy labour where woman can go independent, where manual labour is not happy niether easy. I watched documentary about prince Phillip, and it was hard for him, in that time and age, to march behind a woman. I cannot say about the early years, but in later years, at least, they were really much in love with themselves. In lots of occasions Queen said how much she admired and cherished her husband, and how he was her rock. It was really a mutual relationship. Yes. Because MRA started as a response to 4th wave feminism. The whole story behind this is there would not be MRA if feminism is about equality. So if they are dealing with women's problems and not men's, its not equality. We are pushing men's problems, but not dealing with women's problems, lets be honest. Our response here is to be on a scale too. I think we are pretty militant.

I used to like him. He has some good advices, and books are good and can help you. But the fact that he tells everyone needs to believe in God, doesn't believe in climate change, against vaccination, supporter of Trump, makes "progressive community" believe it is all connected. I do not have nothing against religions, beliefs and political standpoints, its just that he makes a perfect stereotype as alt right winger, and that makes feminist believe it is all part of the same frame of mind. I like…

We all men should stick for each other, it's only natural. Gay or hetero or bi, doesn't matter.

I could joke that if they want equality that those numbers than should be equal. Femicide means like killing caused by mysoginy. Every murder of a female partner in heterosexual relationship is automatically called femicide, because every violence in family is mysoginistic. Thats what they say. We live in a crazy times

The thing is actually, we have low rate of homicide. In 2020 it was 1 case per 100 000. In that year we had 36 killing, 22 men and 14 women

Great article! It is so concise, using statistics and academic knowledge, and yet it gets right to the point. It just smashes the myth of patriarchy fact by fact, like dropping vases on the floor.

Of course it isnt! That was my point there. We are not evolved to watch somebody from far away from some computer screen. Wanting to have sex is natural thing, and healthy. Rather paying for sex than watching sex.

Some men are like that. Ive encountered that bunch. But kid is a kid, and who knows how will this have effect on his future life, and mental health. I do not think people here are endorsing that type of behavior.

Sure. There are some women volunteers in Ukraine who decided to stay and fight and are greeted with respect. Also, in Israel there is obligatory military service for a year for women and men. My personal opinion, I think voluntary system is the best. Anyone who thinks that are suited for army can join, anyone who dont want to, dont need to.

I can explain this. All countries which are NATO members do not have obliged military service, only on volontary basis. Its because NATO have enough people and resources to protect those countries. Non NATO members mostly have obligation to have military training for a year or more when men turn over the age. For example Switzerland, South Korea, major players like Russia and China, and of course Ukraine. Only country which is famous to not have military is Costa Rica.

I am not really familiar with OF, but I guess it works like live webcams where you pay money or something simmilar. About prostitution, I am actually for it. Because there will always be illegal prostitution, so its better to have legal prostitution than illegal prostitution. Sex workers should be protected and feel safe, the same as customers feeling safe too. But honestly, I dont think there will be more prostitution in future. It will be less of it. Its because of sites like OF. Sex workers c…

And they have the same salary as those men. In my country I heard from some people policewomen rarely see action. Instead they are sent to talk with people, or stand near some site like burned house and say to people to not pass near, or do some paperwork. Only men are sent in dangerous situations. And after they finish their service they will have police pension as policemen who have seen some real action. Not really fair, but that's life

This is something you who watched the movie will really like. But I want to point out great turning point in movie. Through whole movie Evelyn saw Waymond silly, weak and incompetent. But didnt realized she is having this picture in her head what kind of man society needs, and what kind of man it dont. Then there was pivotal moment when that non alpha Waymond says: "In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you." This turning point made me cry my eyes out. And …

I find this very disturbing. Being banned just because I replied, because I cooperate with some hate group? This is not really redpill/incest group, its about male rights, as feminism group in reddit is about female rights. It is just a little step near about being the whole group cancelled.

This is the reason Netflix or Amazon will never surpass HBO. And Im sure more shocking scenes are yet to come. (episode 2 spoilers ahead) there is also shock element when they try to give king Vaeserys child brides. Those kind of things happened in middle ages. Not to forget the incest between Targaryens (they are all more less cousins, and of course Jaime and Cersei). Even though there are some PC stuff in series, superb writing just makes me to not think about it at all.

When two guys meet eye to eye and doesnt want to break up the contact it means dominion. Aggression. Thats what boxers do before they start to fight. In their own way they think: I will own you. That is whole other story than women.

Dealing with underlying trauma will be maybe most hardest for me to do. As a kid I didnt had friends, I was mostly alone and was bullied a lot, and I feel until I dont solve this a be at peace with this, I cannot go any further. Catch 22 is that it would be more easier going through that if I had deep connection with compatible girlfriend. I think most of us who have trouble approaching girls have some trauma or shame built in us, in other words most of us are depressed and its hard to move on.

My story is there was this guest proffesor from gender studies from USA comming to my eastern european country to teach Feministic Anthropology on my college. I enrolled with good faith. So yes, there was this big speech on the beginning for 20 minutes how men abused women through the centuries where I wanted to hide under my desk, and there was talk about how Freud was a mysoginist and talk about how men force women to be this big fertility machine... it all sounded propaganda to me. But that i…
