I was fresh off a breakup and feeling really down, so I didn't fall for it, but it didn't set me off until like a week later and he's ghosted. Like... In hindsight it was one of the funniest worst date stories ever 🤣

I had a guy on our first date go ooooooooon about how now that he's an uncle he realizes that he wants to prioritize marriage and family and he's so ready to get married, and he wants at least 2 kids, and how he's set up great at his job rn, and how he volunteers as a coach to work w kids cause he loves kids and is so ready to settle down and have a family, and how he dreams of having a California king bed and a chesterfield leather couch in the library, and how now that he's had a 2 bedroom apt…

Sounds like you are still leveling up. He can be a HV man but if you haven't done the inner work on your confidence and self worth- it doesn't matter. A HV man will not compensate for you, or be a short cut to achieving your personal goals. You have to be single and do the inner work to know that you can rely on yourself. For your insecurities to be brought out in this fashion- I'd hazard a guess that your pattern recognition is going off and you have noticed something in him that you know is in…

Seriously, duck him and the horse he rode in on She builds their family life and uses money from a budget she has to HAGGLE AND INSIST ON to make a little side money from her hobby and he uses that once of satisfaction to CUT HER DOWN Literally just him strong arming her out of any bid for independence from him and his ✨master budget✨ Don't date cheap men ladies! This is a best case scenario from being with a cheap man. If frugality is part of his personality then 🏃‍♀️RUN🏃‍♀️

I was gonna say, it sounds more like codependent manipulation rather than a mutually fulfilling and engaging friendship If real life friends can't pass the Bechtel test -it ain't friendship

Agreed, mysoginy can't be ruled out based on XYZ. It's a pervasive method of thought, and often it's used to defend a passive stance -which perpetuates the status quo to enforce mysoginy.

Ugh, the friends are so telling!! I used to think that if his friends knew about you it was a good sign- that he was being above board. WRONG. His friends were all slimy crackheads and I overlooked it bc he was highly educated and in a reputable profession (also WRONG) Any friends of his you meet, take it as a reflection of exactly who he is, and exactly how he thinks of you.

I have absolutely fallen for this chronic perfectionism, and it ironically holds me back from A LOT. Tbh I don't know if I will ever fully escape it (in my mind) but I continue to practice being flakey and debonairé to all but my closest confidants. While I can't bring myself to be publicly vulnerable the way so many are, I will practice my eccentricity loudly

I also hate that these women aren't evaluating the men in anything except "he doesn't exploit me bc I exploit myself! It's my luvr language" Like 👻, yo man ain't sh!t and you know it, stop trying to convince us having a man means you have a good man

This is fantastic advice. I had a guy try to get me fired by stirring up drama (not my department and not my job) and he ended up getting yelled at for not knowing proper procedure for a basic part of his job - I didn't have to do anything, and I absolutely DID NOT HELP HIM. A man who's determined to sink you is likely gonna try to do is quickly and like the bully he is- this only works if you internalize it and leave. He will keep spiraling and lashing out until he gets himself a formal reprima…

If you're looking for chemistry and not finding it on apps, then I suggest trying hobby groups or gym classes, anything to enrich your life. Don't try to find a date at these places- if it happens it happens, but don't go there with the intent to date. You want dating to be an addition to a full life, not a big part of it. So if you're losing interest it may be bc you'd rather put less time into dating and more into adventuring
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/22 10:18 PM

If they're pleasant company then keep them in your scrotation and keep dating other men! It sounds like you're in the roster building phase, not where some candidates are standing out yet. And if you get tired you can skip a week or a few- you don't have to constantly be dating even with a roster

The comments are gross and she seems more like she's gushing online to try and buy into the fantasy herself. If it was genuine why wouldn't you share that happiness with your closest friends and family? Sounds to me like her family disapprove of him (probably for the age gap and for encouraging her to stop working and be dependent on him and spend more time with him🙄) And she just doesn't want anyone in her life to bring up their legitimate objections so she's gushing a picture perfect story on …

They won't disappear from society. The more important these losers feel (from the AI) the more they will go into society to reassert themselves - and the more violent they will become when their delusions aren't catered to the same way AI does
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/22 08:49 PM

I disagree. I think these AI bots giving men positive interactions only builds resentment towards women in real life. It just gives these unreasonable men one more measuring stick to shove under women's nose and say 'see you don't compare, you're a bad woman, how dare you not be as good as this bot' and that pent up violence would turn explosive real quick. Studies have shown that AI bots and sex bots don't mitigate or redirect men's rage towards women, they just make it worse. These men need to…

I actually think that now's the perfect time for you to date. You want to date when you're ready to interact and meet new people. It's excellent practice and slowly building connections and confidence and practicing your boundaries. If you go into dating when you are ready to fall in love and you're seeking the 'spark' you're setting yourself up for disaster. To date when you're emotionally invested in the idea of love is to put yourself at a disadvantage- and it is contrary to the abundance min…

It's part of the backlash against women joining the workforce. The cultural push to try and get women to pursue motherhood and family, when they are in their most formative years is not by accident. It's also during the time when you're still building yourself up for future payoffs, where if you miss out on the opportunities to build your career young -you've made a choice that will have compounding repercussions the rest of your life. You should check out the slow fashion movement- they have a lot more plus size inclusive designs. But that's the caveat w slow fashion- it's about making your own clothes and altering existing pieces. It is absolutely not enjoyable for everyone, but it does feel good to alter/sew clothes to fit you and not a mannequin. I've found that if I dress up on dates it intimidates a lot of scrotes, and it's easier to see if they'll objectify me or compare me to other women when I'm put together. I also have found that now that my wardrobe is more currated, I have nicer casual clothes- so I'm always looking a little dressed up. And again it keeps scrotes from approaching me. When I read this I didn't immediately make the connection to male trolls- good insight OP! I read this as: men are raised to view women as an adoring audience. Men expect women to clap along, have no thoughts of their own- because that's what the artists (men) are for. I imagine it the way Lord Farquad has que cards for his audience in Shrek. RWW was eye opening for me because it acknowledged a lot of how I had been raised. And how strictly I was taught to perform as a woman- even though I threw…

This is 10000% true. If you don't like his family then there's no point in marrying him. To add to OP's point that these things can't be forced and it's foolish to try: is that most successful relationships boil down to CHANCE and TIMING. You bump into potential partners all the time by CHANCE - and of the timing is right for them AND for you then you have a CHANCE. You can meet compatible men but the timing in both your lives can be off and make it not worth pursuing. Chance and timing make all…

I disagree- liberal feminism is a legit feminist movement and so is radical feminism. The nuance in each movement is a HUGE difference. You're right in that radical feminism is the only kind there is, but so many people denounce feminisms because they think all feminism is liberal feminism and it is absolutely NOT. I also don't make the distinction for the man I'm speaking to- if he had to ask he doesn't matter- I make it for any women who may overhear and want to look up what it means

I forget which post (99% sure it was from FDS) that said that crushes are simply you idealizing a person based on a trait you admire about them. You admire that trait bc you want to have that trait withing yourself, and you see a relationship with that person as a shortcut to acquiring that trait. Ex: when I was in grad school (living w my parents) I had a huge crush on a guy I interned with, nothing ever came of it cause I knew better than to date coworkers, and we:re still friends. Female liberation to me boils down to the social network created between women to prioritize women and children on a larger social scale. This already happens everywhere on a small scale- the neighborhood potlucks, and game nights, the online groups, the hobby meetings, the book clubs... We create these communities in small scales everywhere. And that is how we protect and nurture ourselves, one another, and our children. I've mixed feelings about this have a tendency to attract avoidant partners- the ones who will be attracted to the very facade you’re trying to pull off- unavailability. This is only partially true- and avoidant partner may last longer due to you're unavailability- but they will not make you feel cherished and they will not step up to pursue a full fledged relationship. So avoidants tend to filter themselves out through the vetting process and can make for a good scrotation in the mean time. AS …

I agree, but in a qualified way 😅 I think that men can make excellent allies, and the correction of males behavior has to come in part from other men- but also seeking out and trying to gain male allies is an absolute waste of time. This is a fantastic strategy!! I just assume all men are taken regardless of my attraction to them, it keeps things professional -even with acquaintances. It also helps because I don't spend any time or thought trying to figure out if a man is taken or not- that can eat into your day and wastes your time like nothing else. If a man isn't clearly expressing his interest in you, there is no reason you should waste any romantic consideration on him.

Rape by deception is coercive. It's not talked about enough, and it's hard to accept that it has happened to you bc life would be so much easier if you didn't have to unpack that. Most men prefer to play dumb around this issue so they have excuse to continue their coercive rape strategy (through deception)- they know what they're doing. The idea of rape by deception has been around for forever: our mothers telling us be careful men will lie to your face, men will f*CK anything, don't fall for it…

Unfortunately learning how to build your support network is a life skill. Sounds like she's gotta practice that and expand her network. Therapy may help with anxiety related to networking and meeting new people- but as a skill it's a separate thing to develop. Also, massages can be good too, to satisfy the need for physical touch if you're isolated

Living apart together is becoming more and more popular. A lot of the appeal to live together is because you save money on housing and household expenses. But those savings usually come at the cost of your sanity and gendered expectations. If financial strain wasn't an issue I think far fewer people would live together. Maybe like 2 adjoining townhomes, or a large enough house that I can have my master suite on the first floor and he has the upstairs and kitchenette up there.

I have a theory about this- and it's probably controversial. BUT when women develop autoimmune diseases while partnered with a man (I include cancer in this) I attribute a lot of it to the symptomatic affect of chronic stress on the body- specifically chronic stress induced by the partner. Oftentimes for partnered women, this stress comes from their partner -in the form of a temper tantrum prone man, uneven household work, emotional exhaustion that's never reciprocated, women being expected to p…

Abusive men are abusive men. There was a tweet years back: Most men say 'i would never hit a woman. Until recently, women had more fear than finances; a lack of love was bad, but not as bad as poverty. This is the pivotal right women have achieved: our access to resources is no longer through a man/marriage. Men at every turn regardless of how progressive they see themselves, will always fall back on simply being a resource pipeline for women. Because it's easy to flash the wife card and get promoted, it's easy to announce a child on the way and get a raise, it takes no thought or effort or ac…

Then the reversal process requires enjoyment history, a Dr note, and a character reference of a long term legal partner Women have been subjected to unreasonable double standards for so long that even if we achieve equality for men- women are still death the short end of the stick- because biologically we have to bear the burden of pregnancy. The only equitable way to reduce that burden from women, is to have…

Lots of women in poverty are baby trapped there- they end up having to drop out of school because of it. I'm all for educating women but we need a two pronged approach to protect them from unwanted pregnancy - or being groomed into wanting pregnancy- that's why I stand by vasectomies for men. Women have been penalized and bear the whole burden of pregnancy the second approach to educating women, needs to be to discourage men from abusing women in this way.

I think men should have mandatory vasectomies at the age of 12. Girls get the HPV vaccine and boys get a vasectomy. Then for a man to reverse his vasectomy he has to petition his local representative with 3 years work history, a Dr note, and a character reference of the woman he is married to to prove his vasectomy reversal is desired by his female partner.

Both liberal and conservative men are unhappy with women taking back the reigns over their lives & gaining financial independence You hit the nail on the head! This is why the Democratic party offers NO protection or advancement for women- simply more prestige by being able to have a higher serving position for men. Sexism and racism are intertwined to reinforce one another, and give men a place in their fragmented heirarchy- so they will never be on the bottom

This is so telling about how men see us- only as vehicles for sex. I'm sorry you went through that, and I'm sorry your friend gave you a 'highliggts only' reel from her experience sugaring. Women and your intuition will save your life- maintaining female friendships is the only way to have a bigger against LVM.

I was gonna say this: ghost that mothafucka He doesn't feel a spark? When he asked you to be exclusive so he could sleep with you? And 7 dates in 4 months is NOT ANYTHING - it's not worth sleeping together. Seems like you were a side chick all along (I've been there, it was humiliating to find out- benefit of the doubt is never worth it). Any man who can't make time to see you within a month of dating isn't putting in enough effort. The only exception to this is if you are out of the country for…

Absolutely correct, and the 'priveleges' our men 'give' us (education etc) are simply to signal the status of the men in our lives to other men. I see racism and colorism as a secondary system of oppression to enforce sex based oppression. Because women are always at the bottom compared to their men, and face the most violence from men of their own race- because as long as it's not cross racial no one's moving in on other men's property/women this keeps the men happy to have an outlet for abuse …

It's not even audiences romanticizing it, the show makes it romantic for you with how they frame everything. There will a bluff of bad behavior and then back to how hunky the actor is and how she can't resist him even as he gambles their house away to prove a point that the one guy is cheating 🤦‍♀️

We've been pushed so far into a 'freedom of choice' fallacy: on the left it's free to choose bc in a future utopia there will be no consequences, and on the right (libertarian really) it's free to choose bc no one has the right to govern the choices of another. So we're left in a society of false promises and you made your choice- that's that. This common train of thought to willfully glossing over how no choice is made in a vacuum and no choice you make will only affect yourself. Comes from a f…

I agree with a lot of the sentiment here, but the term “Intersectionality” comes from Kimberle Crenshaw & CRT originally, and means almost the opposite of compartmentalization. Intersectionality describes the way oppressive systems overlap and cannot be separately examined, especially wrt identity Yes, the intersectionality movement has been co-opted through the use of semantic language to strip it of it's original meaning. It seems to me that intersectionality and inclusivity are used interchan…

She brings up a great point about women getting into relationships for money and men for sex. The patriarchy relays on this exchange of money for sex to enforce men's access to women. This, the intersectionality movement has spliced everything and anything to do with sexuality and labeled it FINE- bc sex is the only thing that matters and is NEVER wrong. By compartmentalizing EVERYTHING and assign it meaning and validity -we've written off legitimate abuse. Nevermind that anyone can condition themselves into BDSM/MAP through progressively extreme porn- this conditioning can't be done with a true sexuality (conversion therapy has been proven ineffective) In the name of nuance …

Great job ladies!! I love to hear it. I had a thought when the methods of oppression were discussed: it seems like an inverse pyramid: 1) class (largest target of oppression) 2) race (medium target of oppression 3) sex (smallest target of oppression) We are targeted for oppression on 3 main fronts, and the smaller the target of oppression, the more static/unchangeable it is. The tried and true formula to oppress a group is to pick the target, and then slap an imagined heirarchy on it- you may be…

This is a good case study as to men who 'like/love dogs' and why that's not a good indicator of their values. The trick to this is that LVM see women dressed down and perceive them as struggling and more susceptible to their validation, and subsequent manipulation. The will seek you out to compliment you when you look down, only so you give their opinion more value that they know it's worth. By presenting yourself in a way that shows you are well taken care of (good grooming, style, jewelry etc) it shows LVM that you've got people in your corner. I've actually seen advice to be just outside the line of the kitchen, bc people naturally funnel that way and will be looking for someone to talk to- so you can make pleasantries there early with list of people and then go mingle with them later once you:re ready to enter the room proper. That:s general networking advice tho, idk about man specifid

Men want to roughouse with women, but women can't react back at all- we just have to take it. As children we get in trouble for being rough back and taught we need to be gentle with adults and peers alike: and all it does is teach us to accept physical abuse from men because being 'roughed up' isn't as bad as it could be and he was just playing

It's not even about you- these guys RARELY have repeat customers cause they suck in bed. The only chance they have at getting regular sex is if they get you bonded to them through sex and then push you into a situationship- so you will trauma bond to them. I agree with everything you've said. My point was that: if this is the argument that has the most logic and backing behind it- how will it be acted on, and why will that choice of action be considered effective. Yea, the vaccines weren't available in time to prevent a mutation. My city had a huge breakout, but local gov'ts managed it well and had better incentives to get people vaccinated. The fed has moved roof little too late, but they still take the opportunity to take what authority they can from local gov't. YES!!! Women have ALWAYS done the lions share of labor and men historically have benefited from us due to hoarding resources/restricting our access to them, and threat of violence. If I heard someone had these rules in their relationship I'd pity them because apparently they had to sit down and hammer out rules that most healthy couples don't even have to think about. Yes, the only time I think this would be worth hammering out is in a lawyers office for a prenup or marriage addendum as specific grounds for divorce and how the assets will be split based on the timing of these offenses rather than the divorce being filed. Otherwise you're having to enforce the rules and THE…

I have a hangup about the 'rule' description. Maybe I'm overthinking it- or just have issues with authority. Why do I want to make rules and enforcements for my partner when they all come down to the basic expectation of respect? Is it in a legal document so I can easily prove grounds for divorce? When these expectations are listed out in the form of rules it feels like having to micromanage the man. I think these should be expectations you lay out for the relationship during pre-marriage counsel…

Unfortunately, with how young they are when they first find porn- they need to be educated about it (age appropriately) earlier. I think perversion and pedophilia are acceptable words for a child, you can adjust their definitions to be age appropriate (into nasty mean things they shouldn't be, and a grown adult wanting to marry a kid etc) and give them the language to use when other adults are inappropriate- and potentially make them feel better about sharing if they end up being molested. The thing with this is: she showed you what she valued in life when she decided to get married. *edit to add that I get the joke and I think it's funny This is false-the patriarchy was not invented for/by white men. The only time men are at risk of racial bias before bro-bond is when there is a interracial rape- and even then men are more likely to join together to rape women than they are to defend a woman. I think the stigma against having daughters comes down to the indoctrination girls go through under the patriarchy. Mother's have to teach their daughters how to perform- and this starts very early, and is a tightrope walk- and it's rules and restrictions we feel forced to obey by our mothers. Even if a woman thinks she's throwing off a lot of what her mother taught her, she still internalize a lot of it and will pass a large part of it on. Yup, keeping a woman barefoot and pregnant IS a form of oppression. And the tricky thing about LVM/NVM stealing from these surrogate women, is that our culture and these men actively force the woman to think that it's an expression of love. That our surrogacy for all their experiences is a form of love- and in some ways it is a form of motherly love. But how twisted has motherly love become to be the ideal we torture women in romantic relationships with? The specific story I'm referencing in the post, is when Dworkin talks about the story of O.

It's also not 'acting' what other actresses have to endure the torture they portray on screen? NONE. No actress in a movie is getting the act done to her- that's the magic of movies and acting. Local women don't want to get that, and the 'shlutty' foreign women willing to have that done must not be better off than them. Because it's about controlling women. The babies don't matter, they just want to control what women do. In ye olden days when abortions weren't a failsafe and outlawed, men were usually forced to marry the woman because people lived in smaller communities. But when abortion became an option, they forced women to get abortions. And now that men have the anonymity to leave without consequence they want to take abortion away to force women to have babies and get us out of the workforce.

I think especially for r*pe and a$$ault it's really hard work to wake up from our pick-me conditioning. It's so painful to acknowledge what actually happened and then to process it - even though in the long run it saves you a lot of pain it is a miserable process to wake up to. And lots of women would rather stay asleep and pretend the world (and men) are nice.

Yes!!! There was a really good post on FDS about a year ago that explained the masculine and feminine energies and how manchildren are stuck in immature feminine (helplessness to manipulate others to serve you) and pickmeishas are stuck in immature masculine (trying to control the reactions of a recipient by giving to get) And healthy masculine is providing and nurturing and healthy feminine is taking your space and generating creative energy and being receptive to inspiration around you (and al…

This is it. Expensive housing is why young people partner up so early and stay in bad situations for so long. And it's what gives couples more 'status' that they can afford to live in bigger/nicer areas that singles may struggle to break into during school.

This is a big one for me too! I usually notice by their voice or not -the vocal fry is a real thing and it's done purposefully whether the person acknowledges it or not. Well, it's not what I find physically attractive in a man, but if I'm attracted to his looks and he can't carry a conversation then it doesn't matter how he looks. I don't factor in nervousness because when I'm nervous I try to make people feel comfortable and I try to practice perfect manners- if he's nervous I expect him to do the same. And the added or lingering moves to put your body on sexual display (the overemphasized hair flips and bend&snaps). Imagine if a gymnast pulled that on the Olympic stage? I understand that 'as long as it's not for the male gaze' but it seems that at every turn these 'reclaimed' sexualized performances are just embracing the inner vouyer inside to watch and critique how well we perform for the male gaze (like Margaret Attwood's quote). Men tell other men that you're a cool girl so they know they intend to pass her off and she'll be down with whatever shit they throw at her. This poor girl, she needs to stop sleeping with him!!! 19 is so young, hopefully she'll find her way out of this.

So, I think separating from uniqueness also helps you separate from a trauma bond / codependent mentality. We all have some fear of being small and insignificant and not meaning anything, but keeping ourselves in a place of fear prevents us from finding our tribe -because we keep trying to change ourselves to fit into whatever one is in front of us we don't evaluate it beyond 'i want to belong' -and every time I've actively wanted to be liked, I've found myself in a sh*tshow. You explained this very well, it all circles back to privilege and men prioritizing the outcome they want over women. They don't pick up on our body language because that's not the answer they want. They play dumb and have us explain it to them because they want the attention, and keeping us talking can keep us from reasoning out a safe way to leave them.

Yes, the most that's worth mentioning to friends or even dates after a while is 'someone nice, is he a good person' because it's a non answer, without seeming like a non answer. Fantastic!! It's a big deal to start looking and what a powerful move up you made!! I always say to make sure a job serves you just as well as you serve it. So many workplaces underpay because they can. Often the longer you've been with a company (the more expensive you are to replace) the less you earn over your lifetime because incremental yearly raises don't add up to near as much as a new job.

And freezing his sperm can preserve it at THE APPROPRIATE AGE - so you can get better quality dna from him. Honestly, any man who thinks he might want children should freeze their sperm. If he's child free then he should NOT But if he is on the fence because he wants to find a partner, (who he obviously respects enough to not baby trap due to the vasectomy) then freezing and vasectomy is the only sensible option.

I'd say it's slipping out to continue to test that boundary. And even if you're just friends they may use you to triangulate their other partners and make it seem like you are sleeping with them. Helping/working with animals is one of the best ways to fulfill your needs for emotional connection and relationships, and it comes up often on this sub, but it's not something well known out in the wild. Volunteering at a shelter or rescue or farm is a GREAT way to help you connect with animals (and some people too, though not a guarantee of HV) and it will help you learn more about yourself.

Poly people have perverted friendship in a way I'm not sure how to describe. Like you can't even be friends with poly people because they don't see a difference between their poly relationships and their friendships. Anyone they seek out or try to befriend they are also trying to bed. Men or poly women (who are bi etc) seem to view friendship as a boundary negotiation to get into your pants. If she is in on campus housing then they can re-room her and she needs to go to them ASAP -she is not safe while this LVW has access to her. With friends like these- it's not about standing up for yourself, it's about learning to cut off people and walk away. Trying to make any of them see her side or reason will just give them more ammunition to bully her- walk away, get a new room, and make other friends. So I would continue your job search and try to find another place to work. You've probably got applications still floating around and will be able to schedule some interviews quickly. As for the scrote you work with- unfortunately you need to shut this down fast. The best response is a stare down and at most say 'that is inappropriate' and walk off. Consider reporting him to HR -this one is tricky because it can affect you even if it's not supposed to. But you need to document each incident in y…

I like this idea, but I also understand the criticism of some of the comments. Most success comes down to networking and having the right people know who you are and rooting for you. So seeking out successful mentors in your field is a must, and in a lot of fields they will tend to be white men. However I noticed that the men you picked JoRo and Schwatzy are hyper-masculine physically imposing men that have competed in strength based competitions. MMA and Bodybuilding are hyper masculine and wil…

Craft nights are so low key and relaxing I usually just show off what you're working on and then chat the rest of the time. Lots of shops will also have craft nights if you want to join in on them. Yes! I'm starting to not count virtual socializing. Yes it drains my social battery, but no it's not satisfying like seeing people in person. I need to be brave and take the plunge! You can always ask what they love about the city/town and then bring up how you love how/wish they did decorations for pride month. Bringing up how you find pride month a fun event gives you an option to play dumb and 'liking it for the colors and drinks' then you'll get to hear what they think of pride month.

You're testing for controlling behavior. Stalking is a symptom of controlling behavior, so is throwing tantrums etc. Lundy Bancroft's Why Does He Do That will explain so much. I would use: the blood in the water test -drop a fake vulnerability to see if he uses it against you Firm boundary test -say you hate something or will firmly not do it and see if he pushes it. I agree, stepping away from societal coercion is a tricky thought exercise. I like to think of it as: is what I'm supporting choice for (or saying yes to) making it more difficult for other women to make their own choice about the decision. Yup, and often people will keep as LV people around them as possible so they can look more accomplished in comparison. Crabs in a bucket. If you knew each other before he may have known about your past relationship and that just gives him a playbook to walk you through to lock you down. Be careful and really think about what he knows about your past and how he may be showing signs of taking advantage of that knowledge to manipulate you. This is a huge red flag of LV behavior (and it's while he's…

I'd say he's very likely going to have one at his bachelor party. The only 'sure' way to see how he feels about them at bachelor's parties is to defer to him and see if he wants one. His friends know, they ask you for pretense only If he doesn't stick up to them then, then he never will and probably enjoys going along for the ride and still getting to be the "good" guy cause it wasn't his idea. You can also have your maid of honor text the best man to brag about each other's nights and see if yo…

Yes! I think overextending ourselves is natural, because I'm the moment we think we can handle it, but it overlooks how long the daily maintenance takes. I agree, I feel guilty for skipping class but keeping the house clean feeds into how well I manage every other area of my life, it's the last to get up to speed, and the first thing to slip if I'm feeling down

I agree, I think self-care has been separated from self-discipline to encourage people to buy everything to "fix it" What we need to have a balanced well rounded life is simple, and often more easily provided by ourselves than outsourced. We need a routine of healthy habits -diet, exercise, grooming, creative and social outlets, and goal achievements. And all these need to be managed in a timeframe that you feel comfortable regularly achieving. How many times have I overbooked myself and ended u…

Yes, trying to pinpoint what rape is about puts the focus on the rapists motives and often leads to apologizing for their behavior. Also phrasing rape as being about control overlooks the coercive nature of most rapes - and I think those experiences are far more common and can take a lot of unwinding because they may take longer to understand what actually happened to you. Like, if you were lied to in order for a man to sleep with you, then his lie is all that aCtuhaLleY did. That suddenly knowi…

Kindergarten for me as well. There was a special needs kid who would come to our class 2 days a week and he was sat by me. The reason he and his ex were incompatible is cause she called him out on…

If you are in school/studying for professional exams. Dating is a drain on your time and a distraction from your goals. There's already plenty to be distracted with work, friends, hobbies, pets etc. It can also distract you from settling into how you want to live your life- considering a partners goals/lifestyle is always going to take away from you building your ideal life. Yea, it came out that she and her ex husband split in Jan'21 at the same time she and MGK got together... I smell a rat twisting trauma up.

It's tough to accept but we are heavily influenced by the people around us. That phrase 'you are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with' is TRUTH. A partner (24/7/365) is a far greater influence on a person -even compared to a long term friendship. That's why FDS has you drop men at the first sign of LV- it will wear you down, rub off on you, and you will be worse off for having known them. If your friend is married to this, then this has become part of her personality/identity/(wh…
