14 months later, and I still feel "lost" after everythingMan, similar circumstances in a small world. Good luck with fedex. They're as corporate as they come. Who knows you might like it. Though you said again is this your 2bd time with fedex? Hopefully your hub is decent. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/11/25 08:47 AM
First big treat to yourself? My home, seriously. Moved out of state to be near my sister and shortly after arriving i bought a 1450 sq ft home for 249k in the state of Texas. Courtesy of California inflation i sold my home for 3x what i bought it for. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/25 08:00 AM
Unhealthy anger towards seemingly happy married couples nowYou're gonna be jealous for a while. It's natural. Let it flow. I look at my wife and her new man and it pisses me off that she drained me of everything but money. She wrecked my trust in women, relationships, and a lot other. Best thing is time. Use your feelings as a guide too. If seeing other couples makes you angry it's probably time to hold off on dating altogether for the foreseeable future. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/25 06:49 AM

Wife took both kids as a deduction. Wtf.That it is. I could have been an ass and filed a joint return but I have long term plans i want to accomplish in the next several months. I don't want her interfering with those so I have to play the nice game in certain things. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/04/25 07:44 AM
Wife took both kids as a deduction. Wtf.My ex did the same thing this year. In order to preserve her precious government sponsored insurance (,Medicaid) i had to file married but separately and I owe 3800 in federal taxes. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/04/25 07:31 AM
WTF DO I DO🤦🏽♂️Just watch your back. Women, especially those who feel like they've been greatly wronged can turn on a dime. Most men here will tell you to get a lawyer for any divorce. That's up to you if you can or want to foot that expense. My wife left me 6 months ago and although I have plans long term, she won't know jack squad about them because I don't want her sticking her fingers where they don't belong. :) | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/03/25 12:24 AM
WTF DO I DO🤦🏽♂️It sounds like she wants to be a part of your life, but away from you. You guys are a great couple, just not great together. I would help her move out. The sooner you two are apart the sooner you both can start the healing process. Best of luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/25 11:11 PM
Thinking of an out of state moveAa outright as I can get. May need a small mortgage of 20-30k though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/03/25 04:15 AM

Keeping your last name.My ex is keeping mine for the simplicity of its spelling. Yeah i really don't care. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/02/25 07:18 AM
For those who *didn’t* choose this…I'm doing ok emotionally but could always do better. How might you be able to help? | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 04:48 AM
For those who *didn’t* choose this…Same with you I pray your situation gets better soon and that you aren't homeless or at the bottom for very long. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 04:11 AM
For those who *didn’t* choose this…My wife did the same thing! Lost my job in July although she didn't hesitate to take a really expensive trip to Vegas with me a month later. Month after vegas she took off to her mom's and asked for divorce via text message. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 04:05 AM
For those who *didn’t* choose this…Practically wasted 11 years with my ex. Though I'm not homeless, thank God, I'm not doing much better financially versus my previous job. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 04:00 AM
For those who *didn’t* choose this…What hurt the most was the ex left without so much as a talk or a thought. She went to stay with her mom to "clear her head", then she demanded a divorce via instant messaging 2 days later. Mind you I had lost my 100k a year, extremely cushy casino job. 2 months prior to her leaving although she CLAIMS she didn't leave over money. I beg to differ because she sure as hell eagerly went on a 5 day Mexican Riviera cruise and a really expensive trip to Vegas 2 months later. Yeah, whatever. Fuck you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 03:58 AM
Keep fighting or settleI'm no lawyer but I'll offer an opinion. It all depends on how much energy, time, and also money you're willing to spend. Divorce trials are an exhausting and grueling experience. My brother in law and my older sister both spent years in court fighting for their kids, they had psycho exes though Ultimately they both prevailed and got what they wanted, eventually. Whatever do NOT let your ex use your child as a bargaining chip. Happens way too often and it's the kids that suffer the most. If you … | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/25 08:02 AM
Went to a rave last night fellasPretty much, yeah. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/01/25 07:13 AM
Went to a rave last night fellasI'm 42 years old myself. The event was in a warehouse but the venue seemed like it's been there for a while. However there was plenty of people doing drugs and selling them. The security there didn't seem too concerned lol. So yeah it was as much of a rave as those things go. Nowadays most raves are legal but the drugs are still there. I often feel like security is there just for show. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/01/25 05:51 AM
Want to break stuff... What to break? Those seriously exist? | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/11/24 04:25 AM
Want to break stuff... What to break?Go work for someone like fedex. Slam packages down as hard as you want. Pretend your ex's face is on each one. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/11/24 04:25 AM
Finding potential evidence that..She can talk with whomever she chooses. I dunno i was maybe hoping she'd be as heartbroken as I am. I can't get out there just yet. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/10/24 06:23 AM
Finding potential evidence that..I mean if my ex is talking to someone then she is. Nothing I can do about it. It just pisses me off that she took not one but two expensive trips with me but as soon as my job let me go she tosses divorce at me a month later after the 2nd trip | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/24 10:32 AM
Finding potential evidence that..And what i found was a post on the Instagram app threads....where she called another guy handsome. If I'm reading it correctly | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/24 09:58 AM
What if I had just said "Sorry, I'm not getting divorced"This. I certainly tried getting my STBXW to back off the divorce. She flung it on me so fast I couldn't really blink. After 2 or 3 conversations of attempting to get her to call it off she refused. I'm not gonna beg someone to stay that doesn't want to stay. It hurts like hell though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/24 05:21 AM
'Not in love'I wouldn't go that far but Id require at least some marriage counseling ought to be done before divorce can be initiated. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 06:25 AM
'Not in love'No kids and I suppose it's fortunate we don't. So far we're maintaining separate spaces as she has since moved in with her mom. To be honest I think she just woke up one day, decided she wanted a divorce and that's that. Almost everyone on "my side of the aisle" is/was shell shocked at the news. I've gotten no shortage of "wtf happened" type questions. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 05:28 AM
'Not in love'Not by a long shot. Life is alright it's not really enjoyable but I'm at least living and I just started a new job. We've only been separated for roughly a month now and she's spear heading the divorce. Long story short I'm just 30 days in. Gonna take a minute to uproot 11 years worth of memories and times. Though we were just married for 4 years. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 05:18 AM
'Not in love'I mean I can see it now, looking back. I do see. She also doesn't think we're fixable by any means. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 04:45 AM
'Not in love'Don't know, don't care. I'm not gonna beg someone to stay that clearly doesn't want to. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 04:19 AM
'Not in love'Honestly I'm not overly sure. One day she said she simply wasn't happy and that she wanted out of the marriage. I've already asked her several times to reconsider but she's not interested in doing that, and here we are. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 04:19 AM
'Not in love'My wife did something similar. She was in love with me but fell out of love with me. She says she can no longer love me the way she is supposed to in a marriage. Hence our divorce. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 02:39 AM
My wife is begging me now to stopt the divorce process! Most lawyers that operate on contingency will require a 30% stake of whatever your monetary award turns out to be. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/24 04:09 AM
My wife is begging me now to stopt the divorce process! In other words the lawyer wouldn't get paid unless they won the case or motion. Similar to how injury lawyers operate. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/24 03:47 AM
Divorced, financially secure, considering having a child: Thoughts?I'm currently 42 and at the end of my second marriage. First marriage we didn't want kids then decided at the end to have them, then she passed away. 2nd marriage we tried having kids off and on but nothing ever connected. Now I don't know what to do. I know I want to date again and get another chance at love but am unsure if having a baby should be in the cards say by my mid 40s. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/10/24 10:21 AM
Jobless and soon to be divorcedVery true | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/09/24 06:56 AM
Jobless and soon to be divorcedWell said. I actually gave myself a month before I started looking. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/24 02:24 AM
Jobless and soon to be divorcedCalifornia | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/24 02:20 AM
Jobless and soon to be divorcedNo children, 2 cars, A Camry and a Versa but I don't want or need her car so there's that. I own my home but my property came before the marriage so I know that's out of the question. The only tangible thing is a savings account only in my name. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/24 10:17 AM
