Mottron’s most cited recent paper is “A radical change in our autism research strategy is needed: Back to prototypes” (Autism Research, 2021). Yes, he's walking back what he helped popularize in the first place. I'm not going to give him credit for trying to fix his own mess. Especially since he's not fully trashing the idea as he should but instead merely suggesting that autism diagnosis should be treated as a spectrum, effectively saying nothing of use. B3 says nothing about savants or superpo…

Mottron is a fucking moron who has been dragged by other people in the field for deliberately expanding the definition of "autism" in a way that not only trivialized the actual disease but was also deliberately done to try and justify his stupid ideas. The same goes for DSM 5's B3 criterion which has been widely criticized for causing a multitude of false positives in diagnosis of autism or falsely labeling heavily autistic children as not autistic because they understandably don't meet this dum…

As someone who has a fair amount of experience with autism in my work. Pattern recognition and getting deeply interested in things are not signs of autism. For the former it's the opposite. For the latter, there is no relation. Actually autistic people who possess positive traits would've had them even without the autism and the autism actively holds them back from their potential.

However, women get more emotionally involved, and it is very hard for them to move on. Literally every study and statistic proves you wrong. Women move on quite quickly and easy relative to men who can get hung up on their ex for months if not years. There are exceptions but those are not the norm.

It is questionable whether this type of behaviour comes from genetics It isn't. What the other guy is saying is absolutely unhinged nonsense. There are factors which are heavily influenced by genetics such as body structure but personality is not one of them.

This is the stupidest shit I've read on this sub in a while and that's saying something. It's the equivalent of claiming that if you're a great salesman who is closing a ton of lucrative deals then clearly you are doing it wrong and the deals aren't that lucrative no matter how good you are. The idea behind seduction should be to make the process of getting the kind of women you want to bang easier not to torture yourself with arbitrary metrics to impress some dipshit on the Internet channeling …

You are dating women in their late 20s to early 30s. I'm sorry to say but that really isn't impressive. You can pull them but so could a skinny 20 year old guy. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. You are not the first guy to find out that women's standards drop and they start being more interested in nice "husband material" men as they get older nor will you be the last.

What’s the point of being indirect with a woman, if she knows within the first few seconds-minutes whether she’s attracted to you or not? Well, that's the thing, she doesn't. The "women know immediately if they'll sleep with you or not and you cannot influence it in any way" spiel is false hence you end up with very attractive women dating not so very attractive men. Being direct saves time if you've got a lot of things obviously going for you at first glance that a woman can see (looks, wealth,…

Women want to be controlled Women want to feel "owned" It's a cringe worthy way to express the concept but being dominant does in fact work very well with women. All women, including self-professed equality warriors/turbo-feminists. Women don't know what they want / can't explain what they want Nobody can explain what they want, including women. It's just that with men, our attraction triggers are relatively simplistic so if you chuck a slender, athletic chick with nice legs, a firm backside, a …

You can't make a woman go from unattracted to attracted. You can but it requires consistent exposure and being able to demonstrate things about yourself that she might find appealing. It's not an easy task.

It really depends on whether you are good with women to begin with. There's way too many down-on-their-luck guys who think that a "change of scenery" will magically turn their fortunes around and then they get there and find that they still suck at getting girls and that no, women don't automatically find you more interesting just because you're a foreigner.

If you're socially experienced enough, you can sometimes tell unconsciously whether she is interested or not. That being said most of the time it's a complete crap shoot and you're better off testing the waters anyway.

You can bet she’ll remember that no matter how you say it. Or more likely she'll forget it after five minutes because a dozen other guys have given her the same variant of "OMG you're so sexy!" over the past month.

Miracles do happen, I actually agreed on something with you. How? Physically? Perhaps. Emotionally, intellectually, and socially? Not even close. I'd say even physically it's a stretch. I never realized the wisdom behind "old man strength" until I got older and noticed that I was effortlessly performing feats of physicality that would be very difficult for me as a teenager. And anecdotally, people I know were also like this.

The first time I heard of looksmaxxing was when people were making fun of these losers on the old Bodybuilding.com forums almost a decade back. And I'm reasonably sure the name itself was taken from 4chan (or was it 8chan) which coined the term to mock these guys. As for how much looks matter, being lean and being physically strong are the factors that in my experience make the biggest impact. Which for a lot of guys, is never the starting point. No, they just don't see the women that are interested. Or if they do and they mess up, whether from hesitation or saying something blatantly stupid to offend her, they will often make excuses as to why it would never have worked out anyway or that she wasn't interested because she wasn't throwing herself at them. Real answer is that women do approach but only men who stand out to their liking in some way. Very handsome or has high status, etc. That doesn't mean that no other guys stand a chance, more that you need to demonstrate other qualities besides visual that women find appealing. Which generally required you to approach first.
/r/seduction08/03/26 08:20 AM

Well it might be because your initial assumption is wrong. You absolutely can ask without really escalating and it's usually easier too and leaves no doubt as to what's going to happen. "But girls get turned off if you do it like that!" Turns out, not really.

Again, we are not talking about exceptions but something that is very common. Sure being an asshole isn't a good way to live but that's because it screws you over in life in general. Doesn't mean that women don't like it, in fact it massively improves your chances with women.
/r/seduction22/02/26 03:59 PM

But we're not talking about exceptions. We're talking about something so common that there are entire novels, movies, shows, comic strips, stand-up comedy routines and anecdotes that have been around before you or me were even born about this trope. Whether today or 60 years ago, you will find no shortage of guys bemoaning the fact that a good girl he liked decided to give it up to some selfish asshole driving a 33 year old shitbox and leeching off her hard-earned money.

Women are attracted to traits in men that are correlated with an evil disposition. Yes, regardless of looks, charisma, status, personal tragedy or anything else. It's an unpleasant fact of life but a girl's first love will quite often not be a very good guy.

A lot of these are wastes of money. And of course in your bad-reading-comprehension-addled world, actually trying to understand what you are responding to is beyond your capabilities. You missed the point. No shit women want traits like kindness and stability for a husband. Men want women with good motherly instincts for wife material too. But this comes with the implicit assumption that the man in question is already someone that makes a woman’s vagina tingle not a “nice guy” without a spine whose only virtues are being kind and nice. Women don’t want to sleep with those guys save for rare exceptions or when they are getting older and are looking for a husband. And “nice guy…

It's astounding how retarded Reddit has become that 18 and 24 is now considered a huge age gap. You're pretty much in the same age group LMAO. It's not like you're 44 and she's 18.

First of all, there is a world of difference between an actual 10/10 bombshell who is naturally stunning and an Instagram model. Many of the latter are barely 8/10 with make-up and I'm not saying this out of some sour grapes mentality but from actually seeing one with her friends up-close. Yeah you didn’t disprove anything I said. Women can’t really handle having multiple guys without negative psychological impact on average, men can. So it’s usually the woman that calls it quits. Also if you’re going for women in their 30s, well, there’s a reason they are looking for exclusivity. It’s called the biological clock.

You also seem unable to differentiate between "different" and "analogous." There is nothing analogous in your example. There is no actual risk involved in taking what is sometimes less than 30 seconds to chat up a woman you find attractive and seeing if she's interested, respectfully bowing out if not, and following up with an extra 1 or 2 minutes and grabbing her details or taking her on a date right then and there if she is. If you're here to vent then vent. If you're here for advice, you haven't provided nearly enough information to get anything useful in return. My guesses are a) your "glowup" isn't nearly as substantial as you think and b) you're doing something very obviously wrong when texting, likely by being too boring. As for "women don't ever show signs of interest in me", I can only say that most guys are completely blind to women's signs of interest 90% of the time and you're likely no exception.

Autism is basically playing on hard mode when it comes to dating because it's virtually guaranteed that you have been doing something to unintentionally offend the women you're going on dates with. Maybe try to be more upfront about this and ask the girls to let you know if you said something stupid and didn't notice because being autistic, well, trying to play the smooth-talker isn't gonna work. You need to be bluntly honest.

Some prefer them but it's more accurate to say that most don't give a crap unless you look like total shit. A guy who let himself go at 30 ain't scoring with 18 year olds while a fit guy who looks like Johnny Sins' doppelganger will have them on their knees saying "daddy". They aren't as sensitive to it as men on average in my experience.

The girl who told me to cut that wishy-washy crap was a professional competitive athlete and works as a lawyer now. Indirect is understandable when you're approaching a girl who is a stranger but when you're on a date and you sense that she is down, you don't need plausible deniability. Just ask if she wants to go somewhere private, your place, her place, whatever. If she wants to have sex, she'll say yes. If she doesn't want to, couching it in deceptive terms won't change her mind.

This seems like pretty flawed advice, you are essentially saying that if circumstances aren't 100% in your favor then don't even bother. Except most women you meet in your life that you really want aren't going to be under ideal circumstances, sometimes you might only see her for like a minute at a pastry shop before she leaves or you might have not had time to shower that morning, etc. And women's signals can be difficult to read, I've had at least one example of a girl that I thought hated me …

Oneitis isn't when you're involved - it's when you're pining after a girl who is not interested, thinking that you can get her to love you if you just hold on long enough while she's off merrily banging other dudes and not really caring either way and maybe, possibly, one day getting to enjoy some sloppy seconds if she gets bored and decides to throw you a bone in a moment of boredom. A bit of column B is probably a healthier approach. For example if all your dates keep failing after you start rambling on about a race of super-crocodiles that secretly rule over America and live in a diamond city beneath the Mississippi river midway through conversation, it might be a good idea to cut that shit out. An extreme example but you get the idea.

Hit on them and flirt with them. The only thing that experience has taught me is that there are no guarantees in dating and the only sure-fire way to get girls is to make a move. Trying to attract extremely beautiful women with wealth or status is usually a losing proposition because a lot of those women usually have that in spades themselves and they don't really care to have more of it.
/r/seduction15/11/25 07:49 AM

The majority of women are attracted to men with money, power, and status. Out of those three, only power actually comes close to being something you are correct about. Money, LMAO. It's worthless when attracting top-tier women, only gold diggers in general. Status, ehhh. It can be more of a benefit but it really doesn't make as much of an impact as you think. Power is the most important of the three but it can be expressed in many different ways.

Depends how old. Pushing or over 40, your options will be scarce on the ground unless you’ve got that silver fox appeal. Between 27 and about 37 depending on how well you look after yourself and you’ll be surprised. It’s that factor of being still not quite old but also not quite young I suspect. I also doubt it’s daddy issues because I’ve seen it with girls who have quite healthy upbringings multiple times.

Yes, this is why many guys can occasionally pull off smooth approaches if the stars align for what they perceive as the “perfect” moment and situation. But counting on those to get the girl of your dreams is only slightly less stupidly optimistic than expecting to win the lottery.

Not really true at all. Men actually have a much smaller radius of preference when it comes to features in women (mostly looks) but many will sacrifice standards out of desperation. Women’s preferences tend to be wider in scope. This goes double for girls who crow about “must be tall, ripped, make six figures, etc” shit. Girls who do genuinely only want those don’t yell about it from the rooftops, they just quietly date them. But I expect this to fall on deaf ears given your blackpilled beliefs.…

Honest question - are you asking out all kinds of girls, including other Indian and Asian girls or are you just zoning in on white girls? If I were trying to win the lottery for 27 years and have never been able to do it at Agatha point should I consider that I can't do it or it hasn't happened? The latter obviously. I’m confused as to how you can even quantify “never happened to me before”. Can you read women’s minds as they walk past you? I know that when I was in a similar mindset, I also assumed no girl was interested and in retrospect and even asking them later, it’s amazing how blind I was.

Fundamentals of male/female attraction: Men's attraction is primarily physical. The good thing for girls is that they are all predisposed to have breasts, nice butts, curved physiques, generally feminine faces, etc. This is why the stereotype of ugly duckling to beautiful swan exists in all those cheesy teen movies. So any girl, with some exercise, hygiene and looking after her looks can get a guy she likes, because men's overriding instinct blinds us to stuff like personality. Women's attractio…

On one hand, I suspect that most virgins are virgins simply because they haven't actually bothered to try and get a girl while playing to win i.e. not giving up after, like, one not-so-good moment, but on the other hand, I heavily doubt that most virgin anxiety is caused by society. Who said I don’t fuck hyper-attractive women? The dudes who get the best girls don’t give two shits if their nose looks crooked. That’s for metrosexuals. A good body plays a role, which is just about the only thing I agree with you on here. And even then it plays into the power perception which is why a lanky guy who can hit like a freight train will pique a hot girl’s interest all the same.
/r/seduction23/08/18 09:06 AM

You’ve got the causality backwards. Girls flock to violent thugs all the same regardless of their looks. You can see it all the time with dudes who get zero attention from girls while they’re average schmucks and get flooded with interest once they shoot somebody. What attracts women is the perceived hyper-masculinity of being a violent asshole. A pretty face is not important for men and is a minor contributor at best. This is something that was understood on Seddit for a long time until we got …

It is, though. OP basically straight up said that he straight up dropped getting girls to focus on other shit. Then he tried to to write some weasel-word bullcrap on how you should focus on things you want to do, which, strangely enough somehow excludes getting women. No shit, most of the guys here are going to post about putting energy into getting girls - that's literally what the sub is about and what they want to have. These posts pop up usually once every few weeks with guys who either don’t get laid at all or put too much effort into getting women which is basically counter to the #1 rule of seduction and then post this feel-good shit about how you should enjoy life. Gee, thanks genius. It somehow doesn’t occur to any of them that you can have a fairly happy life and still want to chase after lots of women, it’s not an either/or deal.

You didn’t escalate properly, that’s why. Girls usually need a bit of warming up before shit happens. You probably waited too long and then haphazardly tried to go for it. Girls don’t just invite guys over at 11 PM in the evening.

If you don't enjoy talking to women, why do it? Put some joy in your life, man. Look up some local fun events to go to and then talk to everyone there. Don't know how? Here you go: 1) Groups - Walk up to the group, smiling and walking confidently and looking friendly as fuck. People see you looking friendly, so they'll move out of the way to let you in on the conversation because people like hanging out with friendly, happy people. Wait for a brief pause and contribute to an on-going conversatio…

You can totally fake it but you have to actually put in the effort to be a somewhat decent actor. Contrary to popular wisdom, women's bullshit detectors can be hilariously off-base, hence how you can get broke, homeless dudes who haven't shaved in days still managing to bang quite hot chicks.

Hating rejection is one thing but you talk like you're going to get rejected no matter what without even approaching and I bet you come off the same way. /r/seduction16/08/18 03:48 AM

This is a stupid question because it is obvious what you mean by handsome is “does she get excited seeing you and think you are desirable without you communicating with her in any manner?”. She could be excited by any number of reasons even if your jaw is busted and arm is deformed. Maybe you have scars. Maybe you just performed physically or intellectually impressive feats in front of her. Maybe you ooze charisma in the way you conduct yourself. Female attraction does not work the same way male…

I don’t understand what you are getting at, your logic is jumbled. Dates can only be high-pressure if you make them so, otherwise just relax and enjoy. If you can’t stand a girl, cut the date short. If you enjoy being with her, escalate. The way you talk it’s like you already think you’ll get rejected regardless of what you do. That is the mentality of a coward, for lack of a better word.
/r/seduction15/08/18 03:22 AM
6

Girls do that sometimes. She probably likes you a lot but tries to play it off by acting aloof. She might genuinely dislike you but people are generally way more hostile in that situation than she appears to be acting. Like, openly act like assholes/bitches to you in an attempt to scare you off not just roll their eyes at you. Granted, this is usually something teenage girls do, not young women in their 20’s. Maybe she’s just a bit socially inept or something.
/r/seduction14/08/18 07:13 AM
2

No, the “keeping the pressure off” comment gave it away. You’re basically trying to weasel out of fully expressing your attraction to a woman, which is a 1-way ticket to Friendzoneville. You always, ALWAYS need to make it clear upfront that you like a girl. There’s absolutely no reason a date can’t be a relaxed affair between two friendly people who also would be down to bang. The only time the friend-route works is when the girl is nursing a crush on you and is waiting for you to make a move. A…

I’m confused. Why don’t you become friends while you’re on a date? That’s what dates are for, you ask a girl out and then get to know her. If her personality turns you off, you can just say you’re not feeling it and cut contact.

Daygame and nightgame are quite easy with decent charisma, looks only get a bump in online dating because it’s the only thing girls can immediately see. I’d recommend against social circle game, you can make it but you are competing against other dudes in that same circle and the coolest guy usually has his pick. Better to be the guy that bypasses all that social etiquette garbage and goes straight for the girl.

Yet another ‘work on yourself and girls will come to you’ post. Yawn. Look buddy, working on yourself does one thing - it improves your baseline. It’s similar to martial arts - higher level of physical fitness will make it easier but you won’t kick a black belt’s ass without actually learning the art. With girls, this involves actually communicating with them in a sexual way. You don’t even have to be the best version of yourself to get girls, however much this gets bandied about here. Trying to…

"Seduction isn't the end goal." Subreddit is literally named r/seduction and designed for the sole purpose of helping guys get girls. It'd be nice. It happens occasionally. Will sitting around and complaining about it on the Internet make it happen? No. If you are asked out by a girl, embrace it. If not, ask her out. Welcome to the world as a non-powerful man. People say that our lives in the modern age are less hectic than in the past. This is bullshit. The modern age has brought such ridiculous work hours and had them normalized by surreptitious lobbying that our ancestors would look at us and think we had gone insane. 9 AM to 5 PM isn't normal and it isn't healthy. If you value living well and having the free time to be your own master instead of slaving away for someone else, consider freelancing.

I don’t know, OP. Do you like girls? Do you have a sex drive? You sound like you are not making any effort and want someone to give you an excuse to rationalize your inaction away. I personally always felt this to be a stupid rule because it puts you into a mentality where even the slightest hint of disinterest from the girl can fuck up your entire emotional setup. I prefer "it's good to be optimistic but make no assumptions when going into an interaction". Which, come to think of it, is basically the same what most PUAs seem to actually mean when they say "assume attraction".

What does the 20's have to do with it? Unless you live in an incredibly cold and stiff society, it's fairly common in the Western world to smile when you make eye contact and even greet the other person with "Hello!" or "Hi!" or "Good morning!" or something like that. Might be a bit less since about a decade ago when I saw it all the time but it's still a thing that people do.

Congratulations, you realized one of the basics of flirting with girls and felt good because a pretty girl smiled at you. Now consider, if she had an indifferent or hostile expression instead of a smiling one or you were repulsed by her, would you have felt this good? Probably not. Yeah, eye contact is a definite winner. Losing it is also a good way to dodge unwanted attention. Happened to me once with a girlfriend of a relative. I was really just being friendly and my usual self until she started getting a bit TOO friendly and I spent the rest of the evening avoiding her gaze. At most, half a second of acknowledgement just out of common courtesy. It’s a nice way of easing the tension in a polite manner.

I don’t wanna be a party pooper but I now think that posts like these have the negative effect of encouraging newbies and guys who have never managed to score with any girl to live vicariously through them rather than encouraging them to take action. Good on you but just sayin’.

My advice: don’t. It’s not decent and has the potential to go to shit really quickly. I’ve done it once before and it was nasty. And I was lucky too, it could’ve been way worse. That being said, if you are still intent on learning the hard way, all of those options suck. Number one rule of getting a girl with a boyfriend is that YOU. DON’T. MENTION. THE. BOYFRIEND. Keep the memory of him to a minimum when she’s with you. The intention is to make her focus on having fun around you, not make her f…

I was visiting from out of town so I really wanted to pull through and wingman for my friend. 6 hours later the hot girl and my best friend are pretty much in love making out like crazy outside the bar at 2:30 am. This is kind of a core point you left unmentioned. You, I'm assuming a pretty socially well-attuned guy, helped your buddy score a 10. You mentioned he's not particularly good-looking in the comments but from my personal experience looks, tend to rank somewhere from 5% to 0% relevance …

To sum it up, he played the aloof asshole who didn’t give a shit. That’s the most basic form of game and it doesn’t help that he’s older than you, which helps immensely with younger girls during your twenties and teens. If I had to guess, to an outside observer you probably looked like the “nice guy” trying too hard and the “jerk” not trying at all, though that is obviously a major oversimplification. I don't like your analogies though, even if my behavior warrants it. I think everyone needs some kind of security blanket. From an autistic point of view, this would be "order" or "rigidity," in the abstract. Resistance to change, is another way to put it. That's probably what you're reacting to. Resistance to positive change is never a good thing, which is what you are doing. For normals (non-autistic) I tend to see a lot of reliance on things like alcohol, group identity (affirmation) and many…

Most literature ESPECIALLY "Book of Pook" suggests the duality of "status/money"; without one, you need the other. No, it suggests that you need to get off your ass and take some risks. I already gave you all the advice you needed ages ago, Aeon. I have no interest in repeating it. You want results, get off your cowardly ass and take action. The thing about seduction is that everything you ever need is in the sidebar. I was lost for ages until I just decided to go with the basics and developed my own style from there. My purpose in pointing out that it's not just a list is that it goes beyond that. Your mindset makes a difference. You could knock down all the steps on your list but if you're mindset isn't right, it's not going to change anything. In fact, it could even make matters worse. Mindset can be fixed by taking action. I've never been a fan of "just try to avoid thinking about it" or "see a therapist or take pills for it" when it comes to issues of motivation and low self-esteem. I find that the bigge…

Scientifically sound =/= actually works. An academic putting forth an idea must have tested it beforehand, otherwise he will be laughed out of any proper scientific circles. The only benefit I can think of to texting is that it gives you enough time to try and craft witty responses. The downside is that it encourages you to behave artificially, plus all the anxiety that comes from "She read my message? Why didn't she respond?" kind of thoughts. That's nonsense. When you push an idea in academia, other academics (at least those who actually follow proper scientific methodology) will actively scrutinize your credentials to a ridiculous degree to see if you actually know what you're talking about and will question you to the point of redundancy about your chosen topic. You've never seen it because your brain has been calibrated that way. It's hard to explain, but your mind is literally incapable of seeing simple indicators of attraction. Trust me, once you get rid of the "no girl likes me" mentality, you'll start seeing indicators of interest EVERYWHERE. Just like you can go out onto the street and find at least 5 to 6 girls in the span of half an hour that you'd like to bang, there's probably 3 to 4 girls that thought "I'd like to have sex with him".

Aren't you the special snowflake? This post is talking about you. There's a girl who saw you on the bus one time and sat close to you, tried to play aloof so not to seem too eager, you sat there moping and then you got off. And left a disappointed girl behind.

I would like to refine this piece of advice: Just because she's not interested in you NOW, does not mean she won't be interested LATER when you've moved for greener pastures and have changed somewhat for the better. But for now, try someone who is already down to play. For me, girls are either interested, sorta interested or not interested right now.

This is nothing new. This was generally accepted knowledge for thousands of years. Modern attempts to subvert this with bullshit such as "gender is not sex" and "toxic masculinity" and whatever else have failed abysmally at doing anything other than reinforcing the true nature of things. This is a foolish mentality. Don't look forward to losses, just accept that they will happen. Different day, same question. Isn't there a sidebar link for this? For women: Yes. Fortunately for many girls, most of them, provided they try to keep a minimum standard of good health, pass this threshold quite easily. For men: Not really. Fitness, intelligence, boldness and determination trump them by miles. Facial attractiveness or whatever FA guys go on about all day? Not in the slightest. Really? 'Cause I see a lot of single hot girls. Like, girls who are downright desperate in their private moments. I do agree that girls who stand out tend to just dress better. One of the first girls I went on a date with was a cute but kind of awkward Latvian exchange student. Normally, she was pretty but in the "dime a dozen" kind of way. I think this is one of those "speak for yourself" kind of things. While I agree that confidence is kind of important to have, in my experience a little lack of self-confidence in a woman can be pretty cute and rev up those "protector" instincts in a man. Similarly, I've known dudes with barely any confidence in themselves score with some great girls. Confidence is one of those things that is kind of overblown around here, IMO.

Sometimes, women will be too afraid to make eye contact or they'll try to use that old trick of "let's ignore him and maybe he'll pay more attention to me" which almost never works on men as far as I've noticed. I remember when I was feeling down about being ignored by girls at a festival and my friend responded that he saw at least three different girls blatantly checking me out in the last five minutes when I wasn't looking in their direction.

Eye contact is the one thing I never really had a problem with. In fact, I had/have the opposite problem where I hold eye contact too long and intensely, which has worked wonders with girls. Being an alpha male isn't even an optimal strategy for getting girls. Something that I like to repeat to myself over and over: "It doesn't matter what you think - if he's getting something and you're not, then he's clearly doing something right and you're not." From personal experience, looks alone won't get you that far. Try to see what else he's doing right.

The foundational pillars of being truly masculine is whatever the hell you want it to be. You can achieve your ideal position in life where you will feel fulfilled and stay there. People who tell you that you're not living up to some ideal are welcome to go fuck themselves.

5 minutes? Could've sworn I heard that one before. Anyway, I disagree. A good first impression is fairly important, but it won't necessarily break your chances if it's not a good one.

1) Yes, I have and you have nothing that is insurmountable. By your own admission, the worst you have is a concentration issue, which hundreds of other people worldwide have and still manage to get through. 2) You have no good reasons, only excuses that I have repeatedly refuted in our previous exchanges. You just need to listen for once. 3) So you're an ordinary introvert. Easily fixable, do social activities that you enjoy and try your best to socialize with people there plus leave your envy a…

I thought explicitly telling her that we are just friends would have the same effect. No, that's just subtext blatantly telling her "I'm not interested, move on." as opposed to playing aloof, where she thinks she's losing your attention and investment and subsequently gets more invested in you. Or maybe saying that for now we are just friends. Then the subtext implication is "I am interested in you." and thus the move doesn't work. Adding the "for now" is just telling her that you're bullshittin…

Then what you're referring to is "playing aloof" and focusing on other things besides the girl while keeping your options open. And yes, I know it works, because I've had it happen to me, just recently in fact. This is very different to friend-zoning a girl, where you explicitly make it clear to her in some way that you're not interested, even if you are and are doing it to play her. In that case, she's just going to write you off entirely and move on.

I kinda hate the word "incel". It's short for "involuntarily celibate", but unless you're castrated (in the classic sense), are heavily physically disabled, locked up in some human trafficker's basement, etc, then you are not "involuntarily celibate". Especially for most of those guys, where their fate lies in their hands and their hands only, they don't have any obstacle physically preventing them from getting some. They are "voluntarily celibate".

You're still building the attraction Then friendzoning is counterproductive, because you're just indicating that you have no interest, so she moves on. there is some obstacles between you And how does friendzoning a girl help here at all? her interest is waning Because you've screwed around too long instead of going for it. Friendzoning her is just going to kill your chances entirely here. you started off strongly flirtatious and want her to think she hasn't hooked you yet If she's reciprocating…

I find it kind of weird that when you listed problems when she asked you to kiss her if you wanted, you didn't list issue c) she has a boyfriend.

I would just like to say - being socially challenged can be fixed the same way as anything else. By doing, that is, by actually talking to people. People who think that being socially awkward and bad at reading cues is some insurmountable obstacle are wrong. I apologize for the bluntness, but you are simply wrong.

This is...tricky. As long as you're not an asshole about it, but still honest, I think she'd appreciate it. There are a lot of chubby girls out there who want to lose weight, but don't really have the motivation, so being her motivation will give her a hugely needed boost in discipline and sticking with it. On the other hand, she could be one of those super sensitive special snowflakes, in which case this could badly blow up in your face. Trying to discern which type she is first before starting…

If you're attracted to her, do it. If you're not, don't. Other people's opinions should make roughly zero difference. I used to care, it got me nowhere.

I wouldn't recommend this. I mean, approaching is great and all, but it won't make a girl sexier. It just doesn't work that way for girls. Sorry, OP.

Because being good with women and being successful at other things are two different concepts? You ever consider that? OK, enough. I know what happened the last time I got dragged down the rabbit hole of trying to argue with your stubborn ass, so my only advice to you is - get moving.

I'm gonna give you the most helpful advice my father ever gave me: "If you spent half as much time doing something as you spend complaining and procrastinating, you'd be Superman by now." I've seen way too many genetically disadvantaged dumbasses become champions, and by your own admission you aren't even intellectually impaired. Compared to shit I've seen, having a hard time concentrating is positively minor. Also, start talking to women. Seriously. Nobody can tell you what's going to happen, a…

Much better to be like you than some "handsome Super Alpha talking about his law degree and athletic ability," there's only one loser in this matchup and it's not you. Man, dude, you really need to work on that irrational jealousy and hatred. It's going to give you a miserable life even if you do work hard enough to become awesome like Mr. Handsome-Super-Alpha-With-Law-Degree-And-Muscles. Also, there is no lottery. Just those who climb and those who give up. Guess where you fall?

What about when you approach a girl, she politely lets you down, and then shows signals of interest? Happened with a really hot girl at my college, I asked her out the same day, she told me she had a boyfriend, moved on. Thing is, we both study at the library during the same hours and same days every week and I've noticed she appears to sneak glances at me and tries to be in my proximity quite a lot, plus the usual girly stuff like playing with her hair and shit. What to do?

From what I can tell, most of recyclablebanthas' advice is basically slightly modified Models. Plus praising the virtues of dancing, which I very much agree with. Not that he isn't very helpful, I just wonder how much truly new stuff he could give. That actually goes for most guides to getting women. Nothing new under the sun, as they say.

Do things that scare you. Doesn't have to be approaching girls, doing things that scare you will build your reserve of courage and your ability to push forward regardless of fear. Could be something as simple as turn the water all the way down to freezing cold during a shower, and then braving it for several minutes. I can't help more than that.

None of those books will help you. What will help is cultivating courage.

As Darth Sidious said: "DEW IT!" I'm far from amazing with women, but if you want to go from 0 to something, make a move.

They can be useful if you want to. It's your choice. I got quite a bit of mileage out of reading random chick erotica novels that I got for free off iBooks. In terms of actually being entertained, don't expect much. Most of them, to a straight guy, will be like trying to ram a twelve-inch, rusty nail through your forehead. You need to read between the lines to actually learn anything useful.

And this is why you use a rubber, gents. Or at least some form of protection. Otherwise you end up with a kid when you're not quite ready for it. And now you're responsible for two, not one.

Again your own arguments further strengthen the videos points. Firstly, as I pointed out above, that wasn't what the video was arguing, that was what you were arguing. Secondly, employing the "I don't know how to counter your points, but I'm going to pretend that you're just proving my point" technique doesn't work with me. Please do point out where I supported the video's points. Bro! You have STRONG confirmation bias. You mean you have strong cognitive bias. Statically the odds are overwhelmly…

Good points but what about the door to door or the street salesman. That's not the argument the video was presenting, so I didn't address it. He has the face to face contract and like cold approaching as you’re more likely to catch people at their time of leisure. People are at their house, what do you expect? When I'm at my house, I'm chilling and relaxing, not out on the prowl. You don't cold approach girls in their homes, do you? And even then there are exceptions - if a person makes a good i…

Sure. The most obvious difference I can think of is that cold calling does not afford you the opportunity of face to face contact. People are much more disinclined to listen to somebody over the phone that they never met before, plus there's the issue of lack of eye-contact, physical contact and other visual cues or hints that a girl WANTS you to approach or the other obvious point that one is people trying to find someone to have a jolly good, sexual time with, the other is business shit that n…

Kind of stopped taking this seriously after the guy seriously tried to compare cold approaching to cold calling for customers. That's just a failure of Logic 101. It got worse later on when it seemed his definition of cold approaching seemed to differentiate from what basically everyone else says, maybe even on purpose to paint cold approaching as worse than it actually is. Cold approaching isn't always awesome, it is difficult and has its challenges, but this video doesn't really do a good job …

I'm a bit confused on what exactly is the difference on advice and opinion in this case. It seems like in both cases you're causing the person to retreat inwards to think about their response and takes the focus off you. In the case of an opinion, you're basically asking them "if you were in my shoes, what would you do?". In the case of asking advice, you're...also asking them basically the same thing. I'd also think that asking advice from a girl rather than an opinion would be a bad move becau…

I tried a beginners course, which was mostly salsa with moves from a few other dances thrown in and designed for people who basically couldn't dance without tripping over their own two feet. There was another class fully focused on salsa that I originally wanted to try, but I couldn't fit it into my personal schedule. I live in a small, country town and go to college in a big city around an hour away by car. Sorry I can't share any more details, but I had a pretty embarrassing experience a coupl…

I tried it for a while, but the place I went to only had late-30's up to 50's-aged men and women, most of whom were couples looking to have fun. Plus my schedule was terrible for it. :-( Maybe bigger cities are better for it, I don't know.

How about stopping being a dick? It's OK to crack the occasional joke in good nature about someone, but keeping it clear that it's nothing personal, it's just banter. This: I do suppose that's a reason as to why I told one of my coworkers her teeth looked weird and she was fat. Honestly speaking she's quite attractive but I said it anyway because... well... it gives me a chuckle. Is being a straight-up unlikable asshole. I wouldn't be surprised if she never wanted to speak to you again, and prob…
