My money is on climate change, probably beyond my lifetime though.

They just drop out of dating and do what they want. Focus on their career, play video games all day, move abroad or anything else really. All the shit about "society collapsing" is revenge fantasy.

I did answer, it's tough luck. If someone doesn't want to be in a relationship they don't have to be. I think it's why a lot of men and women are avoiding marriage now, why risk being stuck with someone you don't even like? Let alone love. It's hard to judge whether you'll both be the same people in a decade or two. What's the alternative? We remove the option for divorce? I don't think you want that somehow. A guy getting a younger partner after a divorce is irrelevant, that old relationship wa…

How many average men cheat and leave their wives for better looking women? How many successful men don't? The whole "upgrade" thing just sound like bitterness towards these men imo. "How dare men use their wealth/status to punch above their weight". Tough luck I guess, if it's in demand it's in demand.

How do you know this? Are successful men meant to just stay single forever if their relationship breaks down? People break up all the time for all sorts of reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 08:10 AM
1

How do you know that they're upgrading purposefully? Relationships end all the time for various reasons. If a guy has improved his desireability while in the relationship he'll probably just naturally end up with a more attractive partner.

I finally unlocked my wizard powers. I guess it's a relief, I can stop worrying about that part of my life now. A word of warning to any of the younger cel/fa types reading this: Every man like me was once a man like you, do what you can now because it will only get harder as you get older.

Being miserable alone is better than being made miserable by a partner. If good relationships aren't an option for you, you're much better off alone.

The average person is a lot fatter than most of us imagine. Men who looked like me 40 years ago were "the fat guy" in tv shows, I'm below average now lol.

Every vetting strategy has collateral. The aim is to avoid ending up with women with low libidos, sex aversion, or who just aren't that attracted to you. They're going to be over represented in the "make him wait" group. You do miss out on women who are sex positive, but don't enjoy sex without a close emotional bond. They definitely exist, but it's up to every guy if those women are worth the risk of ending up with one of the aforementioned groups. There are some guys don't like having sex with…

I don't expect women to do anything. I want to be in a relationship with someone who wants to have sex with me pretty early. No hate for women who don't, I'm just not compatible with them. For what it's worth, I think fetishizing virgins/low n-count women is a dumb move for men who want a fulfilling sex life.

I don't really get the consistency argument. If someone isn't treating me in a way I want to be treated, I feel like that is in and of itself a reason to break things off. If a woman is 100% consistent in her dating history and she makes every guy wait 6 months I'm going to dip straight away because that's not what I'm after. In the same way, if I'm dating some crazy party chick who has ONS and stuff and we don't fuck until the third date, I'm not fussed about having waited longer because it's w…

There's no hard rule and what a guy considers a satisfying sex life is going to differ. In general, I don't think it's unfair to break up over sexual incompatibility. Early on in a relationship it's a big deal-breaker, I'm not going to invest energy into a relationship that I don't think I'm going to feel sexually fulfilled in. For something long term, it really depends on the circumstances. The longer and more serious the relationship is, the more patient I think a guy should be. A healthy sex …

I'm not, but the US is a very diverse place in and of itself anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 10:14 PM

Say what you like about individuals, but having a diverse set of different opinions is usually the best way to hash out what's right and wrong with a way of thinking. It's the problem a lot of incel/FDS/whatever places have, how do you know you're talking shit if no one is ever willing to challenge you lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 06:25 PM

I think the point is that women being picky doesn't necessarily exclude those "bad boys" and they're mad about it lol. I think the bad boy thing is a meme anyway. Be attractive is always rules 1 & 2, but in my experience being obnoxious all the time makes most things more difficult.

They got together originally when he was 18 lol. I'm not even 30 and I wouldn't date an 18 year old. Either way a 25 year old age gap is weird.

I know there's no exact rule for where the line is with age gaps, but I think we can mostly agree that 25 years is well outside of it lol.

I suspect this is the case in regard to the whole "sex after x many dates" discussion I keep having. I think I'm talking to people from more conservative cultures/areas. Where I'm from waiting for sex isn't really a thing. People tend to jump into bed with each other fairly quickly, then see how well the relationship progresses from there. In the context of that, I feel like if a woman I was dating didn't want to have sex with me she'd be sending me a clear message. I can see how that would be d…

You're vetting to avoid putting effort into a relationship where you're fundamentally incompatible. Does having sex early guarantee you'll always have a good sex life? Obviously no, relationships always change with time and it's something you have to be proactive about. If you are having sex early though, you can be sure that you are currently compatible with your partner. Why spend ages investing in a relationship to discover after a few months that you just won't ever have a fulfilling sex lif…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 03:50 PM

Any vetting strategy has collateral. If the risk of a passionless relationship makes it worth skipping women who don't have sex early, then so be it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 03:40 PM
2

Don't dodge the question. Is it unreasonable to break up a relationship over sexual compatibility? If not, why is it unreasonable for men to vet for it early on?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 03:27 PM
2

You're being disengenuous here and you know it. Does every dealbreaker you have define the whole relationship? Sex is part of a relationship for the vast majority of people. Would you advocate that women stick around in relationships where they aren't sexually fulfilled?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 02:13 PM
1

I think you're reading what you want to read. The impression I got was that a lot of guys thought similarly to me: "she's clearly not that into me, so I'm going to move on". The thing is, where I'm from people don't generally vet for long periods or wait to have sex. Can you not see how hanging around waiting for women to be ready might be a bad strategy for men in that context, it just risks you ending up with someone who's libido is too functionally different.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 01:20 PM

Are the guys who complain about AWALT pursuing LTR''s? Don't they normally just chase casual stuff or give up?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 12:42 PM

The number of machiavellian sociopaths out there is pretty low. Sure, maybe there's a 1% chance that the women who has sex early is a sociopath, but the women that makes me court her for ages is almost certainly either low libido or just not that attracted to me. I know which one I'm going to put more energy into avoiding.

Not participating is the default option. I would have to go well out of my way to try and attract women and my experience tells me that it's not worth the effort. Sure, maybe I can find someone who will tolerate me, but why should I settle for that? Spending my life unhappily trying to please an indifferent partner? I'd much rather be alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 11:29 AM

Because I would know that it was fake and because of my aforementioned inability to see myself as desirable?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 11:18 AM
3

I'm not a very naturally masculine man, but I present as masculine as possible because it makes my life easier. I think I've internalized an idea that no one will ever really like me for who I am, but if I act a certain way, play a character I guess, then people might like that character. Honestly, the older I get the more I feel that I'm actually correct and everyone else is in denial.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/11/21 10:43 AM
4

Look, I'm not an incel. I don't think I'll meet a woman who finds me desirable, so I don't date. That's the extent of my "rebellion". That's what I mean when I replied to the op. I have normal sexual desire, I just don't think that my sexual desire can be satisfied through interaction with other people. I guess I'm functionally asexual, the fact that I masturbate in private doesn't really make much difference in the grand scheme of things.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 10:33 AM

I could visit a sex worker where I live if that was want I wanted, it wouldn't make me feel desired.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 10:14 AM
10

Isn't this kind of already the case for a lot of sexually unsuccessful men? I know it is for me. I have a normal sex drive and I find women attractive. I've never had a woman show sexual interest in me and at this point the idea of it seems alien to me, I wouldn't be able to accept the idea that someone finds me desirable. If a woman started flirting with me I'd just assume it was some sort of scam or prank.

Imagine having a parent who resents you because you failed to carry on their "superior genes" lmao. Eugenicists should unironically cleanse themselves and their shitty ideas from society, raising a child to hate themselves causes much more harm than some superficial "ugly" traits.

Yeah, biological essentialism is more of a trait in blackpill men than RP men IMO. RP type advocates are usually more pragmatic and grifty in my experience, rigid beliefs don't tend to be as popular.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 11:32 PM
9

I think you hand waved it, I don't think you offered much of substance in the rest of your justification. The essentialism surrounding life and having sex tends to be more characteristic of blackpill/incel type guys. I get that there's an overlap in those spaces, but the guys who are more into that type of thinking tend to be on the more give up end of the spectrum. They tend to talk a lot about how life is pointless without sex, but RP tenets couldn't possibly be their only hobby because they d…

It sounds like you're performing a lot of conjecture in order to dunk on a bunch of random internet men. You only see them talking about RP type stuff because those are the spaces that they talk about RP stuff in. Do you know any of these guys IRL? Do you see how they spend their time?

This seems like a really hard to challenge cmv. Being overweight/obese makes most thing more difficult by default, why would dating be exempt from that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 10:44 PM
1

A lot of redpill types advocate for marrying women from poorer countries don't they? They usually say it's because western women aren't real women anymore or something like that, but it's essentially because it allows them to wield their relative economic prosperity in a way that they can't with western women. That would count as dating down no?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 10:13 PM

Because people who complain about lack of sex, but won't hire sex workers, are generally not really complaining about lack of sex. They're complaining about lack of validation.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/21 03:44 PM

Aren't bronies mostly weird, but harmless? I think a lot of them are just on the spectrum too. Seems a bit unfair to conflate them with incels.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/21 01:32 AM

There were at least 10 others in the carriage and one rapist. Apparently some of them filmed the attack and it lasted 40 minutes with no one ringing 999. Eventually a railway employee saw them from the station and rang the police. That's pretty fucked however you look at it.

What reasons are there to avoid dating an entire group that don't involve prejudicial beliefs against them? Here's the thing, I don't tend to press when people say stuff like that, it's just something that flags to me that a person probably has dodgy views about a group. It's similar to other things, I've had colleagues go out of their way to tell me about how "not racist" they are before and while there's nothing inherently wrong with saying that, it does make me very suspicious of them lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/21 12:00 AM
2

Like I said, the important thing is that no one has to date anyone for any reason. It's not that the reason isn't good enough, "I don't want to date this person" is as good a reason as anyone should ever need. The issue is that people do give reasons, and those reasons indicate prejudices they have against that demographic.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 11:52 PM
2

I mean, anyone can reject anyone for any reason, if you just don't say anything no one is going to know lol. In instances of bigotry against people for things like race or sexual orientation it's hard to separate the views about dating from their views in general. To use a crass example: If I said that I've never been especially attracted to a black woman, it would probably raise some eyebrows but it's not inherently prejudiced. If I say that I'd never date a black woman because they're all ugly…

The attraction and dating are irrelevant, it's the prejudicial views I take issue with. If anything I would encourage them not to date anyone that they have prejudicial views against.

You mean me? It's a change from people thinking I'm an incel I guess lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 11:28 PM

It's like when people ask you to rate your mood out of 10. My mood is sad lol, I don't have an internal numbering system for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 11:11 PM

The whole rating thing doesn't make any sense to me. I literally can't do it in a meaningful way, I would be assigning numbers arbitrarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 11:08 PM

Ok, but that's not the formal or widely understood meaning of the word so you're going to just get bogged down in arguments about semantics.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 10:57 PM

If everyone already lies about their height you might as well fit in. If you're 5'10 but say 6' on apps the women you're dating will think you're about the right height when you meet in person because everyone 5'10 guy says 6'.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 10:24 PM

This is the side of things that the pro-birthers don't want to discuss. Jailing a woman because her 15-week miscarriage might have been caused by drug use. Ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 10:21 PM

I don't think you're using the same definition of "bigoted" that everyone else does, so this discussion is pretty pointless.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 09:57 PM

Men have a huge propensity for killing other men, Even if we assume that all murders are committed by men, the murder rate in Canada is less than 2 per 100,000 per year lol. so I would say it's obvious they just lack empathy and are at least mildly sociopathic (on average) in general. I remember reading somewhere that about 30% of violent male prisoners meet the criteria for sociopathy, it's not even a majority amongst them. In the regular population the estimates are about 1-4%, with the lower …

The most charitable interpretation of TRP is "this is how the world actually is, this is how to deal with it". The "setting you free" part is about releasing you from your "blue pill" view of how dating and the world works. The red pill view, seems to do things that is in your best interest. Without consideration about what is best for the other person. Why go to the effort of dating if not for ultimately selfish reasons? Anyone attempting to date altruistically is setting themselves up to be us…

You wouldn't label me a bigot for thinking that all women over 35 are used up sluts? I would call someone a bigot for that and I'm a dude, so it doesn't even affect me lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 08:22 PM

I don't think you're who OP is referring to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 05:29 PM

Men largely have no empathy for women, most of them really are pieces of shit who just view women as a maid and a hole, and a large minority are violent. Yikes.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 05:10 PM

Because they're hypocrites. If I said that i don't date women over 35 because "they're all used up sluts" they'd have no problem calling me out for my shitty beliefs.

It's not that who you choose to/choose not to sleep with is inherently a judgement of their worth, it's that it can be. A lot of the reasons people were giving for not wanting to date bi people were steeped in homophobia. Anyone can date anyone for any reason ultimately, but if someone's logic is "I don't want to date x because :prejudicial stereotype:" it does reflect badly on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 03:31 PM

Gay and lesbian people are still affected by the social influence of a mostly straight society, so I wouldn't necessarily assume that their perceptions indicate something inherent.

Those are contemporary tribes, not paleolithic. The increased population density and proximity to more civilized societies changes things. It's not that these groups were kumbaya noble savages, it's that they lacked the infrastructure to sustain conflict. There was conflict, but it was generally sporadic and short lasting. Two groups encountering each other both had a strong motivation to avoid conflict at all cost.

You seem awfully mad about the pillar men, perhaps you should take a break from the sub for a bit. Great, you come from a family of strong women, so do I. It doesn't change how passive women are with this sort of thing generally. Look at how the women in these spaces will die on the hill of never approaching men ever, it ends up sounding pretty conspiratorial. Not being approached by women doesn't just mean Quasimodo types, there is a huge group of men in the middle who don't have trouble dating…

That's a different stance to "the great majority of men are not using online dating". If you look at single men aged 18-29 you'd probably be surprised how prevalent it is. And no, that doesn't mean I'm saying that they rely on it, I'm saying it's part of their strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:48 PM

Dating would break down almost completely if men stop pursuing women en masse. In day to day life most women would be relieved I imagine, all the downsides associated with the male gaze etc are suddenly gone. After that there would probably be lots of women unhappy with the prospect of never dating, but I'm sure there would be just as many women that would be happy with the new arrangement.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:11 PM

NOT ALL MEN Well yeah, I was being satirical. NOT ALL MEN... are relying on dating apps. The great majority of men are not using online dating. This only applies if you include literally all men. I don't think long married boomers really count for much in the discussion of dating culture, at least not in a way that's relevant for us here. It doesn't even matter that much anyway, I was just using it as an example of men exhibiting more desire.

I think a lot of people are aware of their faults, but they are tied to this notion that someone else will come along and save them from themselves. I know I've been guilty of thinking like that in the past.

I'm 5'7", slightly overweight, balding and facially ugly. I don't think what I look like would be a great surprise to anyone here.

There's some stuff on subreddit drama. Basically it turns out the mods are tradcon larper conservatives, which doesn't gel well with a lot of their userbase.

There isn't a scenario in which OLD/social media could be banned in any society that vaguely resembles the west. We would be describing a very different authoritarian society, in which case most of our preconceived notions about dating go out the window. You might as well ask "what would happen with dating if we all lived in N Korea?".
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 11:50 PM

I do think what you're saying is fundamentally true, a guy who struggles socially is going to struggle with dating generally. I just think it's always fair to point out that being alright socially doesn't necessarily mean a guy will be good at courting.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 11:41 PM

What data? I was intentionally vague, you would need some very conclusive data to prove me wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 11:38 PM

The “FDS” population here seems to be pretty quiet in terms of commenting, but they’ll upvote/award things en masse when they like a post. The whole thing is a bit like a cult tbh. Unfortunately for the mods they let their mask slip recently and it's going to cost them a lot of the more liberal women lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 11:03 PM

I guess we're all doomed lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 10:59 PM

Loving relationships aren't on the table for everyone and there are plenty of women out there that would make a guy's life worse.

To be fair, you can be reasonably social in a way that isn't all that attractive to most women. You can get away with being shy in lots of social situations, but the vast majority of men are going to have to suck it up and ask women out if they want any sort of romantic life.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 10:38 PM

I think it's an issue that crops up more when people date complete strangers, which people are much more likely to do now. If you date people that you meet through larger social circles they have already been pre-vetted to an extent. A lot of the pitfalls of OLD and the like are from people being matched up with other people that they were never going to be compatible with and who they would never have come into contact with through normal socializing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 10:27 PM

Anecdotally most of the people I know don't wait around long for sex and it doesn't seem to correlate much with anything. The way I see it, having it as some strategy just doesn't achieve much. It just risks you wasting time on a partner that is fundamentally sexually incompatible with you. People should have sex when they want to have sex. If you're someone who doesn't feel comfortable having sex with someone early, then more power to you. Be clear with your partner about it and don't compromis…

I never said that incels thought things out particularly well lol, I just don't think what you're describing here is of much concern to most of them. What I mean with "how women choose partners" is that the studies don't imply that women will use this tactic as a means of choosing partners, which is what incels are mainly concerned with, just that the marriages that fit that scenario generally result in women being happier. People are more than capable of following a dating strategy that doesn't…

Even if all men were commitment minded, there's still a limited number of above average men to go around and women are increasingly choosing to stay single rather than date someone they aren't attracted to. The bottleneck is the number of attractive men and women's attraction threshold, not how many men are offering commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:56 PM

I mean, life was pretty shitty for just about everyone back then. Way shittier than the vast majority of modern westerners will ever experience for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:52 PM

Does this particularly contradict blackpill type thinking? Aren't incels more concerned with getting in a relationship at all? Not what happens during one. The studies aren't concerned with how women choose partners, just their relative levels of happiness when in relationships. Are incels particularly concerned with women's happiness? I know the "she'll be unsatisfied with billy beta" things gets thrown around a bit, but it's usually an afterthought. If anything the studies kind of fit an AF/BB…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:48 PM

getting as large as one can with a 6 pack without doing drugs is actually very healthy. Not necessarily, some guys just don't get very visible abs above a quite low bf%. Which isn't an issue if you're exercising for your own benefit. To be fair, the context of the discussion is an 18 year old taking steroids to get ripped lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:29 PM

Someone who enjoys the activity of lifting doesn't need external motivation to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:26 PM

There's a big gap between being overweight and having a steroid pumped gym body. I'm marginally overweight, but I'm reasonably muscular so I probably wouldn't count if I went by bodyfat %. Nothing wrong with being in shape, I just think "bro, just get in better shape than 95% of men in order to date average women" is stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 09:23 PM

Nothing wrong with going to the gym, I'm talking about the guys that are obsessed with visible abs and bulging muscles and go to extreme lengths to get them.

The average redditor is getting older, probably closer to 30 than 20. When you get to that age there's a higher proportion of us crazies and uglies in the dating pool, the healthy relationship minded people tend to spend most of their time in relationships.

Yeah, if your primary concern is your own health and wellbeing being ripped isn't the way to go. No hate to any gym bros, if you want to be more attractive to women go for it, just don't try and sell me this "do it for yourself" when the approach is actively harming your body.

Sounds like the guy needs to accept that virtually any women he's with will be more desirable than him. That's just how it is. He needs to stop thinking about his ex too. I just stand at the bar and try to talk to someone who stands next to me and make small talk but it doesn’t seem like anyone really reciprocates. Jesus, this is like the opposite of the guys who never go outside and just use tinder. Download some apps lad, put 6'2", you'll be alright.

This is based on personal anecdotes Lol. I started going to the gym, and I did 1 12 week steroid cycle to speed up the process of getting a good physique that would help improve my chances. Given that the average woman is overweight, it shouldn't take a steroid pumped gym body to be considered "worthy" of dating them. This is my whole problem with dating. It's not that the average (or even below average) guy is doomed to loneliness, far from it. It's that the effort required is completely mismat…

I'll be 30 in a few months, can't say I'm looking forward to it. It's hard to feel particularly positive about something like being an adult virgin. It's pretty important, but it depends on the kind of women you want to date. Women have a strong preference for men who out earn them, regardless of how much they earn themselves. Advocating for abortion bans means advocating for forced births for rape victims because there's no logical or practical way to create an exception for them. It always gets brought up because it's an easy win, if guys stopped advocating for morally indefensible positions it wouldn't get brought up.

The whole "men need to show emotion" thing is a bit of a prisoner's dilemma. I've tried to value people in my life who I can be emotionally vulnerable with, but the reality is that they have been few and far in between. Generally speaking it has been beneficial to me to maintain a stoic facade regardless of my internal feelings. While this continues to be the case for men it is hard to convince individuals to drop the mask, even if it would benefit men as a whole.

A lot of women in dv situations are physically violent too. It's just that it doesn't take much effort from an average man to hurt an average women, so the women tend to end up worse off regardless of who the more aggressive partner is.

I'm all for telling men to walk if their SO treats intimacy like a reward/punishment, but likening it to domestic abuse is quite a stretch. If you are a below average man you are almost never on the receiving end of desire. The reason a lot of men see sex and relationships as so transactional is because they only every receive affection and desire as a result of what they provide, not because of what they are.

You aren't obligated to remain in a relationship if it isn't making you happy, who cares what anyone else considers "appropriate"? The thought of a partner that you have occasional reluctant sex with doesn't sound like much fun to me. For a lot of men it's either put up with that or stay single.

Blue pilled, or normie or whatever, men don't tend to think too much about relationships. They accept that they have to put in more effort to court their partner because that's just how things are. The thing is, most people end up in relationships at some point. Sure the trend is moving away from that, but most people do still end up coupled at the moment, even ugly people.

I think the virgin obsessed guys are setting themselves up to be unhappy. Chasing virgin (or low n count, whatever) women is likely to leave you paired up with someone who isn't particularly sexual. If you're not that bothered about how much sex you have in a relationship, then great, you've found your match. If you are someone with a decent sex drive, which I suspect most of you guys have, you're likely to be disappointed with how many "headaches" your pure virgin waifu has lol.

Women calling men insecure about their appearance is such a meme. I'm short, I'm fat, I'm ugly. I would bet you that I'm more confident about my body than the vast majority of women. I've not really thought of him as a villan in years. I do like the character, but I thought he was fairly meh in the early movies.

I think it's the opposite, most of them are pretty generic and interchangeable, that's why the better ones stand out more than they perhaps deserve to. Zemo, Thanos and Vulture are some of the others that I'd rate highly off the top of my head.

Yeah, I saw it last week. I thought some of the characters would annoy me, but honestly I thought they were all pretty fun. I unironically thought Tony Leung played one of the best marvel villans I have seen.

The majority of incels live in places with fairly easy to access prostitution. They choose not to exercise this option, which I think is a completely fair decision, but it renders "involuntary" a poor way of describing them. I would also wager that most of them don't have zero options, it's that they don't want the few options that they do have. Again, I think that this can be a completely fair decision and it's also fair for a person to feel lonely because they don't have any good options. That…

Gangbangs are multiplicative. Lets say a woman has an n-count of 5, then gets banged by 4 guys. Her n-count is now 20.

I doubt the majority of American gun owners have the ability to effectively neutralize an armed assailant. Maybe they do somewhere with stricter gun laws, but your average American is going to panic and accidentally shoot their kid or something.

Some men won't have many options regardless of what they can reasonably do. Sure, being a millionaire would help most guys out, but it's not a realistic option for most people.

It's no one's responsibility to compensate for anything like that lol. If people are unhappy with their dating options they can try and change them, otherwise they can take what they can get. They don't owe anything to anyone.

Most online dating data comes from majority white western countries. I'm sure you can find some non western countries where people complain about ugly white people.

There are similar number of fat men and women. Being a healthy weight as an ugly guy just puts you to the bottom of the "not fat" dating group, unless you want to date overweight women that is.

Self defense has limits in it's effectiveness. If you assume that you're going to be attacked by one person who's roughly equal size and strength to you (and isn't armed), then it's pretty effective. A lot of violence doesn't follow those guidelines. To be fair though, I think most self defense teaches deescalation and avoidance as core principals. I've heard of people being disappointed when their "kung fu" self defense class didn't involve learning how to jump kick someone in the head on the f…

If we're being literal then most self identified "incels" don't qualify, nearly everyone has options that they don't take (which is a good thing, nobody should have no standards).

Seems pretty standard. If you're a man your physical features are perfectly acceptable to publicly ridicule and if you have a negative reaction it's your own fault for having a "fragile ego". If you point out how this sort of thing alienates men from progressive causes you get hit with "we shouldn't have to pander to fragile men". No ones is saying pander, we're just asking you to not be toxic body shaming fucks like you're always decrying when it affects women.

The vast majority of people in society look at the incels and have nothing but scorn and hatred for them, for a few reasons, obviously because some of them say and do heinous things, (though I must say how many incels actually do anything truly bad? I highly doubt it's any kind of high percentage) The vast majority of people never think about incels, or just think of them as vaguely bad. The subs on reddit that have a weird parasocial relationship with the idea of incels are an anomaly. Most of …

The % of women that are too ugly to get dates even if they are in good shape is so laughably low that it's not even worth considering. Sorry ladies, men are so thirsty that it is unironically your avoidant personality at work if you think that you get no interest. Anyone can have trouble finding a compatible partner, but "I get no interest at all" is almost exclusively a male problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 12:36 PM

I don't think I'll find a partner that desires me, so I don't date. Seems consistent to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 12:26 PM

There's a lot of leg work to do before it's worth investing in expensive equipment. Like I said, there will always be an excuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 10:04 AM

The odds of your average "sigma male" MGTOW type getting a random blowjob are pretty low lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:46 AM

Life doesn't get easier after college generally. If you think you've got something there's no time like the present, you will always be able to find an excuse to not do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:44 AM

Sounds like you're depressed if desiring sex is causing you to run out of energy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:33 AM

It's hard to call IMO. Most women in their 20's have more options than men the same age, so it's hard to call them having higher standards "unrealistic". There's also more women with the attitude of "if I can't get xyz I'll stay single", which isn't unrealistic at all if they're happy with the second option.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:32 AM

I'm fat and can boulder alright. An extra 20lbs can be overcome for guys generally.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:25 AM

Men get away with it more in my experience. I'm fat myself and just power through it, very few women have the ubs to overcome the extra weight. Women that do build up to it generally lose any extra weight in the process anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:23 AM

Because people want to have their cake and eat it. "Women aren't into looks, it's your PERSONALITY that's holding you back. Also, most men are physically disgusting and having sex with them feels violating". The how accurate you are bit doesn't matter all that much for ugly men anyway. Maybe you're a 4, but you rate yourself a 1. Either way your options are worship a mostly indifferent partner or die alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:00 AM

I don't ask women out, but in the event I grew a pair and got rejected I'd probably just create some distance. It's hard to maintain a healthy friendship when one person is interested in more and the other isn't, better to back off in that scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 07:32 AM

I doubt most of the women shouting about being paid for on dates are particularly "traditional". That's what leaves a sour taste with this kind of thing. Strict gender roles for men, but not for her I guess. I doubt most real trad guys would complain about wining and dining their tradcon 18 year old virgin waifu fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:50 AM
1

The secret bit is the issue really, I would want to know why they felt they had to hide it from me. I'm not a trad guy, I probably wouldn't date someone who didn't have their own money, so a partner having their own finances wouldn't be an issue for me in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:32 AM

I had a brief look at that blog. Part of the problem with society is too much empathy for criminals because they’re still human. I don't think I'd be very compatible with this person, if me not paying for expensive dates filters women like her out it seems like a winning strategy to me.

What people really mean when they say that is that the person they're saying it to is unlikely to find happiness is a relationship, so they are better off being as happy as they can while being single. That's how I interpret it anyway.

It's a lot simpler than that. Why would random women know much about what dating is like as a man? That combined with people's natural tendency to get defensive when they feel challenged and voila.

The way I see it, some people are just born to never experience what it’s like to be in a relationship or have sex I don't think it's completely determined either way. Everyone has choices, it's just a question of whether or not what you gain will be worth what it costs.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/21 10:32 AM

That's why I clarified that I specifically meant self identified incels, not all men who struggle with relationships. Identifying as an incel, with all the connotations that brings, is a choice that those individuals have made.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/08/21 09:53 AM

I'm not convinced there are many men left in incel spaces that have healthy mindsets. I think there were more misguided but relatively harmless guys in these spaces a few years ago, but these spaces have all had the more extreme voices in them amplified as they've been driven off more mainstream sites.

If women don't want to date me, they don't want to date me. No complaints. What I find annoying is the whole "there is someone for everyone", "you're single because you must be a misogynist" attitude people have. There's no point dating for me because the vast majority of women will never be attracted to me. No hate, no complaining about individual standards, just a logical decision based on my experiences/knowlege.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 09:13 AM
1

I don't think finding a partner is a good idea for most of these guys if they don't get out of their current mindset. Maybe 5 years ago it might have helped them, but the rhetoric banded around in these spaces has become a lot more extreme. This is specifically for men who identify as incels though, not all men who struggle with relationships.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 01:27 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 01:19 AM

Eh, I hate to agree with twox here, but why are people happy about it shutting down if not out of dislike for the women on it? I don't care for onlyfans, so I don't use it. Why are guys making a big deal about it if the platform isn't for them in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:55 AM
12

Sometimes people are consistent at any one time, but hypocritical when you look at their life as a whole. A younger guy might complain about women being shallow and only chasing rich older guys etc, but then turn around and date younger women once he's older and more established. I suppose a similar one for women would be the free spirit that turns more sex negative when she gets older and loses some of her leverage.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:46 AM

Finding a partner =/= finding a partner that's attracted to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:40 AM

A 5 isn't attracted to more men than a 9, they're just more realistic about what they can get. Finding their partner unattractive is less of a deal breaker for women than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:33 AM

Yeah, maintaining a facade of a relationship for 18 years is completely normal, but two people splitting up and it not ruining their kids life is farcical? this is all over just not getting laid as often as you want Who wants physical affection in their relationship anyway? You had sex once, time for 20+ years of duty.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:24 AM

Like I said, kids manage fine with divorced parents as long as they can be sensible about it. Being in a house with their parents at war fucks kids up.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:14 AM

Because most of them are insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:12 AM

It's easier to be civil with someone you don't like if you're not forced to share a house/bed with them. Kids adapt to change, the "adverse outcomes" shit is mostly down to single parents, not divorced ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:10 AM

Yet they don't do very much to make you more physically attractive. "Hit the gym and buy clothes that fit" doesn't require much explanation. Most of what women are attracted to is innate anyway. How do you feel about having sex or a relationship with someone who only thinks you're passable or average? Do you care if you get someone to have sex with you even if they don't really like the way you look? Is that enough to satisfy you? Oh boy, a "friend with obligations". I have to monkey dance to …

Straight away at that stage, why stay in a relationship that isn't fulfilling for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 11:17 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:44 AM

Yes, men are thirstier, we've established that. It doesn't change that "who initiates" goes well beyond the thirst gap. It's a gender role thing, I thought women loved talking about this stuff lol.

Hey, I'm all for telling men to stop being simps lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:19 AM

It goes beyond men's thirst and you know it. There's a much bigger overlap of libidos then there is of who initiates.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:14 AM

How do you know what women are thinking? You don't, you're looking at behavior. Behavior that you don't associate with melancholy because it doesn't match your experience of how it commonly manifests in men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:13 AM
4

Men being the initiators is pretty ubiquitous regardless of their intent. Fuckbois initiate and tradcon "I only want to date a virgin and wait until marriage" types initiate. It's a gender role that goes far beyond sex. How women can't see that is beyond me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:08 AM

Plenty of women are adrift, you just don't see it because it manifests differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:05 AM
2

I'm pretty anxious. Seeing people panic when their card is declined makes me feel uncomfortable, so I make sure it can't happen to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 12:01 AM

What can a man not replace easily that a woman can? I get that it's easier for most women to jump into a new relationship, but there's a lot of other shit in life to deal with. I'm depressed because I'm romantically lonely, but I'm also depressed because I don't like my job, I don't have many friends and I have problems with my mental health and self image. Women are less likely to encounter the first one, but there's nothing stopping them from experiencing everything else there.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 11:55 PM

People's lives are more than just dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 11:49 PM
5

It's kind of a cop out don't you think? Men do the asking out 99% of the time no matter what. I suppose my issue is with wider gender roles and women trying to spin it as some sort of justice when those roles suit them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 11:45 PM
4

Paying for dates doesn't entitle men to sex, what "basic politeness" do they receive?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 11:25 PM

Very few people are too ugly to ever date, I'm saying this as a gargoyle looking FA loser so you know I'm not biased. After a certain point it just becomes a question of "is what you'll likely get out of relationships really worth the effort you'll need to put it". If the answer is still yes then there are practical steps that anyone can take.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 10:52 PM

I'm not going to claim this as my thoughts as I read it in another reddit comment, credit to whoever it was. Online dating exposes you to people that you have to business going on dates with. People with different lifestyles, different values etc. If it weren't for online dating you would either never have met these people or you would have filtered them out on your first interactions with them. This doesn't mean online dating is all bad, but you have go into it expecting a much higher ratio of …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 10:48 PM

Most girls should act more like ladies if they want men to be chivalrous.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 10:40 PM

You can see this in real time sometimes when (I assume) attractive people go on FA or wherever to give advice to the uglies. "Wait, you can't disagree with me! This isn't how this is supposed to work! Fuck this, I'm out of here!". This usually happens after a lackluster 3 or 4 responses lol.

I think parents just need to broach the topic very early with kids these days. Your kids will be exposed to porn, probably before they hit their teens. You can only control so much. A kid's more likely to be honest with you about their exposure to it if you don't treat it like some shameful taboo.

I find younger men, zoomers specifically, tend to compliment each other more. I say good for them, it feels good if a friend notices you've been working out or whatever. I've still never received a compliment from a woman lol. To be fair though, it's hard for women to break the trend. It's so rare for most men to receive an unprompted compliment from a women that they think she's making a move on them and that can cause problems. If it was more common it would be less of an issue, but why would …

It would improve my chances with women that I don't want to date long term and I'm too ugly for more casual stuff. If your only goal is to get in a relationship at all cost then treating women like queens will probably work, but that's not what i want. For what it's worth I treat family and friends all the time and don't really keep track of it, I just don't see buying women's love as a viable strategy for my own happiness.

The risk of being used as a meal ticket is relatively low for an attractive man. We'd probably disagree on the % of women that would try it, but lets just assume it's relatively low. For a good looking guy it's not so much of a problem, for an ugly guy like me that small % is similar to the number of women that would actually agree to go on a date with me. It might even be higher lol. An attractive guy is rolling a die, I'm flipping a coin. That aside, I feel like the bigger issue is that it set…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 09:55 PM

Considering how much shit get for treating women like sex objects, it's funny how many women don't want to treat men like full humans lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 09:47 PM

I'd fuck Henry Cavill. I hope you're a teenager still or you're shit out of luck on that one lol.

and might even have the ability. They definitely do in the higher weight classes, at least for an average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 09:31 PM

Men create little "men only clubs" in lots of workplaces. It's not explicit, but don't be surprised when after work drinks turns out to be a sausage fest.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 09:28 PM

Traditions for thee, but not for me. Funnily enough not paying for expensive dates is a good vetting strategy for men, you get to see which women actually like you.

Most women want about a 6 or a 7 in looks Literally the thing I quoted in my reply. You didn't actually read it did you lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:57 PM

I think I blocked the person you're talking about lol, I got tired of seeing essays in my replies whenever I offended her.

I genuinely can't work out what you mean by this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:52 PM

You're talking past me. I'm talking about physical attractiveness, in the same context of the op. Save your dislike of men for FDS or wherever, I don't care.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:48 PM
1

I don't know what your point is in the first reply. Women are on the beneficial side of a big desire gap, that doesn't make them special. If average women all want above average men, and aren't willing to share, then some are going to end up disappointed. I don't even think OP is neccessarily right, I just don't think what he's describing makes women sound reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:26 PM

That's the deadliest thing he could get his hands on I imagine.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:05 PM

Then women should just share and stop complaining about sub 6 men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 07:57 PM

Height is the factor where a small deviance from the norm has the biggest effect. With all due respect, you don't see it because you're not a short man. 60% of women won't date a guy my height regardless of what else they have on offer.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:51 PM

Most women want around a 6 or a 7 in looks I'm not sure what to make of the random stream of conciousness, but I think it's telling that you think "most women" wanting a 6 or 7 is a reasonable standard, especially considering you claim that women are less visual and prioritise other things (wealth, status etc). Most women aren't all that special themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 03:32 PM

Let's not pretend like this is some 50/50 thing, it's almost entirely down to women's requirements. If a tall women decides she wants a short partner and a short man decides he wants a tall partner, who do you think is going to have more success? I don't think the two things are anywhere near comparable anyway, there's an entire beauty industry that glorifies tall women. The only guys like me that are held as attractive are attractive despite their height and they still get shit for it. Look at …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 09:27 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 11:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:04 PM

Abortions aren't as easy as you seem to believe, even an early one can have quite drastic side effects if things go wrong. Women abort girls in China because of severe social consequences that we don't have in the west, they aren't doing it frivolously. The best way to reduce abortions are easy access to birth control and better education, stigmatizing abortion just results in more unwanted children being born.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 12:49 PM

I doubt the guys on those subs ever made up more than a small % of guys who have actually gone their own way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 12:52 AM

I think the whole pair bonding thing is weird and gets it the wrong way round. People who are less inclined to long term monogamy will naturally rack up higher n counts, the sex doesn't break their brains. It can be a valid concern still, but it's more along the lines of "is this what they actually want, or are they just feeling pressure to settle down for whatever reason".
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 12:44 AM

Should have just put your foot down. "I don't need a reason" is a useful answer when people won't fuck off.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 12:34 AM

Yeah, the only significant barriers a man can face are not being nice enough. People wonder why guys don't go to women for dating advice.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 10:04 PM

I guess I'm tying what I've seen myself here into it. My sister is tall as fuck and has never had any trouble finding men to date. She doesn't date short guys, but she does go out with men who are shorter than her and doesn't seem overly bothered by it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 02:22 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/dating/comments/oxo5qi/are_tall_women_out_of_luck/ Does anyone else not buy that tall women have a harder time dating because of societal bias? There's literally a whole beauty industry that highlights taller women as the epitome of beauty. I'm a short guy, so I'm bitter and biased lol. There is virtually nowhere I can look the reinforces a belief that my height is attractive. I can see men that are attractive despite their height, I can see men who's height doesn't seem …

I think there needs to be a level of inequality for it to count as love bombing. Sometimes people are just really into each other really quickly, nothing wrong with that. The problem is when one partner is trying to force a deeper connection with someone who isn't meeting them halfway.

I've never been a position to really feel romantic love, but women I gel with feel sexier to me than women that I don't get on with so well. Even if the women I don't get on with are objectively better looking.

I don't think it's that men specifically target those women, men cast a wide net and those are the women that respond to that sort of advance. Many horrendous abusive men are the types that pull their shit to keep the woman I've seen an example of this recently. A women I know has been with her husband for ~8 years. She's always wanted kids at some point, so did he apparently. It turns out he's never wanted kids and just kept stringing her along because he didn't want the relationship to end. …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:49 AM

Some people just don't like the gays. It doesn't really matter why, they'll find a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:55 PM

Watch some episodes of "my 600lb life" with him and tell him what I've told you. It's not just a case of deciding to be thin and just dieting for a few months, the longer he stays overweight the harder it will be to lose weight and keep it off. Even if he's got a sedentary lifestyle, being a lay about if you're thin causes much fewer issues than if you're overweight.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:47 PM

Probably not. Nothing against trans people, I'm just really insecure. Why specifically "men that have trouble dating" though?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:39 PM

The longer he's fat, the harder it will be to lose it. If you're fat for long enough you never really get thin again, you're just fat in remission. If he's lazy try getting him into something that involves exercising passively, like hiking.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:18 PM

I've never been convinced that "man flu" is real, it just sounds like an excuse to give men shit for not being a 24/7 fit fighting machine.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:15 PM

I think people worry more about the hard cutoff, which is more of an issue for women, than the gradual decline in sperm/egg quality. I definitely think men and women should worry about it though, if a couple wait until their mid to late 30's and want more than one kid they're taking a reasonable risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:12 PM

I think the purpose is to try and increase participation because in can be difficult being the odd one out in a single gendered group. I do agree that there are double standards with this though, no one really cares about men being shamed into not doing things.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:08 PM

Women have made efforts to break down social barriers in a way that men haven't. In the comments you yourself are exhibiting the sort of attitude that makes men not want to partake in certain activities, even if they might feel like trying it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:07 PM

Overly extensive vetting is just a coping tactic by insecure people who are grasping for control. Sometimes people might fuck you over or turn out to not be who you thought they were, this doesn't mean that you've failed or that you're always at fault. Some people are genuinely better off being single, but if that's the case for someone they're better off removing themselves from the game entirely, not pretending to engage so that they can push this "no one is good enough for me" shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 05:59 PM

Or maybe we can let everyone be big boys and girls and set the terms of their own relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 05:47 PM

Women have a lower opinion of themselves than most men lol.

I mean, it's all subjective. Why is talking about fashion inherently more boring than talking about sports (or whatever)? I think some of the perceived difference here is because men are under more pressure to "perform" for women. Most women know that they just need to be attractive enough and men will come to them, so it's the job of the men to be interesting and carry the conversation. Complain about gender roles or the desire gap I guess.

Just the usual "ugly men are all evil" spiel. If you can’t be better than thinking someone owes you a relationship because you had basic human decency, then you really shouldn’t be in a relationship anyway. This, and the post in general, is what gets me down when I think about my life. It's not that I deserve a partner because I'm "nice" (I'm honestly not that nice, people just use it to describe me because I'm passive and perceptive), it's that the bar is apparently so low and I'm still below i…

I'm going to just describe men seeing as they make up like 70%+ of sites like these. The standards for what the media depicts as attractive have gone up and the average man has grown a lot fatter in the same period. OLD doesn't help guys much either, it gives the impression that if you're not an Adonis you're completely unfuckable to 99% of women.

Is this the new refuge for WGTOW content now that FDS has kicked off about it lol? Men bad, women good. Any faults in a relationship are solely and unconditionally the fault of the man. What makes me laugh the most is the insistence and defense of only dating trad men (approach me, pay for me, treat me like a princess etc), then acting surprised when said men take a more trad role in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:12 PM

How the fuck can you even tell a "nice guy" for the purpose of the show? I thought there was a big problem with guys who self identify as "nice guys", won't the show essentially end up as honest evil men vs dishonest evil men lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 10:53 PM

Men pretend that they don't like make up because they aren't acknowledging the women who use it to cover up severe flaws. You can be put off by women going for the Cardi B type look, but that's just a specific style and isn't what the majority of make up wearing women go for.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/21 11:43 AM

"You're too insecure" is just projection from women. I am one short ugly motherfucker and I would bet you money that I'm more happy with my body than 99% of women are with theirs.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/21 11:18 AM

I don't think anyone advocates to just focus on building wealth, having more money gives you more options to make changes in the rest of your life though. The fact that you don't see many really poor people in great shape is an example of this.

I find the whole idea of requirements to be kind of neurotic. Everyone has preferences and deal breakers, but the idea of having a long list of traits that a partner has to fill seems weird. It's like the sex scene in BR2049, you have a perfect imaginary partner already and you're just looking for a blank slate that you can project them onto.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/21 10:56 AM

The biggest effect makeup has is removing severe flaws from women's faces. A women with attractive features and clear skin is going to see a mild improvement, but a women with severe acne and bad features is going to be transformed. In my experience people tend to date others with a similar economic background. Women do date up in general, but it's up within the same band. The high flying lawyer dating a broke waitress in generally a fantasy. I do think people overestimate how much a guy needs to "have it together" in order to date though. There's nothing inherently wrong with not interacting much with women, or even avoiding them depending on the circumstances. It's just that the men who identify strongly with these movements tend to have a chip on their shoulder Online spaces that filter out dissent tend to end up toxic as what's considered "acceptable" moves further from the norm. /r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 01:27 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 01:24 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 12:06 AM

So you don't mind drinking coffee that you've dipped your own penis is?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 11:46 PM

She's being a bit hyperbolic lol. What she's describing isn't even true on the anime subs, let alone r/all.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 06:48 PM

Half of the women your age play games regularly, I imagine they aren't that fussed if their partner does too. The women here generally don't like men, of course they're going to complain about hobbies that are (incorrectly) seen as exclusive to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 05:01 PM

Who the fuck is talking about streamers? It's not the 90's anymore. Gaming is mainstream, it's one of the most popular hobbies around and it's not exclusive to sweaty virgin men sat in their basements. We're talking more than 50% of people below the age of 50, men and women. Do some research, it will blow your mind. You don't get this because you don't play games lol, you're sat on the outside trying to make judgements about a hobby that you don't engage with or apparently look into at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:48 PM

What % of women in your age group do you think play games themselves? Are they all losers too? Video games are completely normalized these days, your mental image of a sweaty obsessive fan just shows how out of touch you are. You don't speak for millennial women I'm afraid.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:35 PM

a lot of women A lot of out of touch boomers lol. Women play video games too these days, are they all losers too?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:09 PM

This is hilariously out of touch lol. 75%+ of younger people are losers by this metric.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 01:37 PM

I must have woken up in the 90's again. I probably wouldn't interact with women at all (outside of work) if it wasn't for playing video games. The porn thing is just a boogeyman for insecure women. Banning/controlling pornography tends to come hand in hand with cultures that are more misogynistic. You can live in places that ban porn if you want, but you're going to have to put up with no marital rape or domestic violence laws (and the men will probably watch porn anyway lol, the internet is sti…

I only say because from what I've read WAATGMA seems more vitriolic than MGTOW honestly. There are at least some guys on the MGTOW subs that are trying to GTOW. MGTOW is further along than FDS because they were just set up to be a different stages. There are some subs for women that revolve around giving up on dating, I suppose a better question would be why is MGTOW so much more popular than anything equivalent for women? My guess would be something along the lines of men feeling more pressure …

By what metric does you average woman "need" men these days?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/21 11:28 PM

Why is OLD filled with men if men need women less than women need men? Why is online agonizing about being single dominated by men and not women?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/21 11:13 PM

What metric are you using to measure these subs? It seems kind of arbitrary. That said, the two subs have a pretty similar core philosophy if you break it down: "I want xyz from a relationship and if I can't get it I'll walk away". MGTOW is just further along that line of thinking than FDS is lol.

"Men going their own way" is a reactionary movement but in actuality its women going their own way. This 100%. The "where are all the good men?" types are a vast minority, most women just silently drop out of dating if it's not working for them. I've not looked into it much, but I've wondered for a while if having kids creates an imbalance too. Anecdotally when I've seen a couple with children break up the man is back on the market a lot quicker. I know everyone likes to shit on single moms on d…

Exactly. Bye! Go pump-and-dump those poor women. Is there not middle ground between "pumping and dumping" and not wanting to wait months to be intimate with a partner? Younger people don't tend to wait these days, most women in long term relationships would have had sex relatively early. Not always. It's mainly just don't be ugly and put some effort into your appearance. You don't have to Jeremy Meeks or Henry Claville. Just don't look like Ed from 90 day fiance. If you find a guy attractive, is…

That's a common response I hear. What makes him high value if he can't be expected to be loyal and is only interested in pussy? If a guy has multiple options, why would he pick the women that don't want to have sex with him? If a woman's version of a "high value" man includes being physically attractive to women this is something that they're going to have to content with. Where does a woman's own sexual desire factor into all of this anyway? Waiting several months with a guy only to find out th…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/21 08:41 AM

The only political or economic change I see happening in the west will be bigger incentives for having children. Tax breaks, welfare, "baby bonuses" etc paid to parents. I don't think most western economies will cope well with a rapidly shrinking population and immigration can only do so much when the birth rates from the traditional sources of immigration are heading the same way. I think the whole "incel uprising" thing is a revenge fantasy. Guys will just end up hanging around at home watchin…

Yeah, true. Sex is explicitly not the point with the dating services though and the people providing the service specialize in the dating part. It's less "shady" and potentially legally dubious that way too.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/21 11:58 PM
2

I don't think it's surprising. There are more single/lonely people in general and single women have more spending power than they ever have. I wonder if there will ever be much of a market for "paid dating" type services in the west like you have in Japan. I imagine that sort of thing would seem a lot less intimidating to a lot of women than hiring a sex worker.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/21 11:37 PM
18

I don't think anyone really uses that as their motivation. I think trad dating type women want men to pay because it makes them feel special and the "arguments" they make are usually just thinly veiled ways to shame men who step out of line. I think you're right with the last point though. If men don't want to pay for dates, don't date women who want you to pay. If women want to be paid for, don't date men who don't want to pay. /r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 05:08 PM

Sounds like you're just determined to will some great hypocrisy into existence so that you have an excuse to shit on men who talk about mental health. The experiences and views of mentally ill people quite often misalign with those of healthy people. You can respect and have compassion for mentally ill people, but still be wary of the advice of communities that have a higher than normal proportion of them. I would say the exact same thing for any community of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 04:05 PM

Most of the parent comments (including my own) are just sarcastically feigning shock. You're reading a lot into very little. You can dislike the stigma around mental health issues, but also recognize that mentally ill people who don't have their views challenged are more likely to end up with extreme views.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 01:17 PM

Are these the same men? "Stop being a pussy" type thinking is pretty prevalent in red pill spaces when it comes to male mental health.

Male companionship, sex, and having kids are major values to women. Evidently they become less valuable every year. Who do you think is gonna date a guy who works all the time? A gold digger, that's who. Or a women with her own career.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 12:13 PM

I'm not really a "take the initiative" kind of guy, being intimate with another virgin would probably be awkward as fuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 10:49 AM
4

Why do we assume that women will settle for men who offer nothing? In my extensive experience of being a guy that offers very little (lol), women are much happier being alone. Most high achieving men end up finding the time to date despite their 60 hour work weeks, if anything the being high achieving at work means they have to put a lot less effort into finding a partner than more ordinary men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 10:36 AM

People with extreme views more likely to be mentally ill, color me surprised.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 09:55 AM

You can perpetuate any number of harmful gender norms by appealing to nature. "Why can't women just accept that their role is to raise children? Just like nature intended."

Or he just doesn't care about n-counts in general? Even if we assume a world where high n-counts ruin women, there must be stupid men who are ignorant of that fact right? Don't rp guys enjoy laughing at idea of ignorant simps who are inevitably going to get cucked?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 03:18 AM

If you're being strict it's a woman who hasn't had piv sex. Day to day usage, it's kind of vague. Anyone who hasn't had sex, but you have to define what you do and don't mean by sex I guess. I suppose there are people who very obviously fall into either camp, then there's the awkward grey people in the middle who will have to fight it out to pick a side lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 02:28 AM

I'm not sure I'm following the connection between paternal investment and marrying a virgin to be honest. Could a women not cheat on a husband who took her virginity?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 02:16 AM
11

Yeah, the relationship is basically doomed at that point. Just hope you find out in time to annul the marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 02:07 AM
6

Not everyone is obsessed with paternal investment, lots of men don't want kids. I think there are a lot of guys who try and use n-count as a predictor of a woman's behavior. They aren't necessarily obsessed with virginity, they just don't want to have long term relationships with women who either have lots of casual sex or have a lot of monogamous relationships that haven't worked out. Both things being "red flags" to them.

Even if we assume that you're right and that you have this gift to identify precise meaning from very vague statements. What reasons do I (or anyone else) have to take your word for it? If you are so far above me (and everyone else apparently) with this do you not see how it's creating bad discourse to just throw your interpretation out that as correct with no room for discussion? "90% of men who want to split finances 50/50 are low value" isn't a great assertion to make no matter how kindly you…

which was apparent to others. Others, meaning you. Yeah but the context of the OP is why my comment or hers isn't "reaching." Her comment was insulting. But not a reach. I never said her comment was reaching. And as I explained. Any man who thinks "50/50 finances" without making the logical connection that doing so without picking up the slack in "traditionally feminine" roles is "low value" and thus "low-value thinking." This is what you are assuming, not what they wrote. Also, she said "90%." …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 12:42 AM
1

No you can't, you're reaching. I don't care about the OP lol, I've said already. I care about calling guys low value because they want equal finances in a relationship. I really don't get why you've chosen this very specific and hard to defend hill to die on. Speak to some normal people outside of these weird debate subs, most younger couples have fairly even finances just because women don't earn so much less than men anymore. This is a good thing!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 12:11 AM
1

Saying you had the exact same point from what they wrote is reaching. Maybe they do think the same thing as you, but you can't make that assumption from what they wrote. They also seemed to backtrack when i pointed out how dated their view was.

People can change and people can settle, I don't rule out either.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:58 PM

But it has no relevance to what I was saying to the other person. As I pointed out before you started this "who cares I can say whatever I want" schtick.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:53 PM
1

Nah, you were just attempting to derail because I poked some holes in what that person was saying and you didn't like it. It's ok to admit when you're wrong, it shows character.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:46 PM
1

Good for you, they have no bearing on what was being discussed though.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:38 PM
1

Then make a discussion calling out men who don't pull their weight domestically. Call them low value if you want, I don't care. Most couples these days are going to end up fairly 50/50 on finances by default. I don't like men being arbitrarily shamed for being normal and you're just trying to move the goalposts to justify it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:34 PM
1

It wasn't. It's very uncommon for couples in your example to maintain separate finances and by virtue of them having shared finances and earning similar amounts they are naturally going to go 50/50 on finances. Which is why I'm saying that it's more the default these days and why I take issue with calling guys "low value" for essentially just living with the reality that they live in.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:21 PM
1

Who knows. Not my comment. Why are you butting in and going off on some irrelevant tangent then?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 11:04 PM
1

Right... How does that tie into "90% of guys that want 50/50 are low value"?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 10:55 PM

Security and validation I guess? It seems like a weird question, when a couple has issues around marriage it's usually the woman trying to get the man to pop the question. They must at least think that they'll get something from it.

I wasn't replying to the story, it reads like rage bait. I was replying to the "90% of 50/50 men are low value". Most couples are going to be fairly 50/50 by default these days.

If he doesn't fit the pattern of her previous relationships or if she treats him significantly differently to her previous partners. The whole "I found an old sex tape of my wife doing anal with a bunch of football players" is the stereotypical thing that men worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 10:21 PM

This is a pretty dated view, most younger men and women earn similar amounts these days. Having a couple with similar incomes where one person spends a lot more on the other seems like a shitty situation however you try and rationalize it.

I think there are two groups here that you're mixing up. Group A: "Sex work is inherently problematic and sex workers are largely victims. There should be a focus on de-stigmatizing and de-criminalizing sex workers in order to promote better outcomes for them." Group B: "Sex work is real work and sex workers are empowered. Everyone seems to think that each new generation is doing something wrong compared to their perfect forebearers. is hard to meet men without any MAJOR problems, like bad communication skills, porn, following thot Instagramers etc. This sort of thinking just reeks of insecurity to me, if you want a man who will never think sexually about other women you are going to be disappointed. …

I get that. You do wonder what is going on with parents who let their adult kids live with them completely rent/contribution free. I get not wanting to kick your child out, but enabling complete dependence isn't healthy for anyone. There were clear boundaries set out when I moved back. I was allowed a short grace period without rent because I was flat broke, but it was under the condition that I found a job quickly and helped with my dad's business in the meantime.

Providing for a family is a lot more expensive than being a bachelor. If young men don't feel like they'll ever be able to date or raise a family they have little incentive to earn lots of money. Why kill yourself working 50 hour weeks at some job you hate when you can live at home and either not work (if you're afforded that privilege) or coast by in some easy job that leaves you with loads of free time?

I've read before that the Gen Z/younger millennial kids drink/smoke a lot less than their older peers, it does make me wonder if they actually live more cleanly or if they've just swapped it for prescription stuff/420.

Yeah, but I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to it. I've got enough for a house deposit in some safe places and the rest goes into some nice tax free generic index trackers. I see stuff like crypto being all the rage these days, but I'm a simple guy and a few years of normal healthy growth will be enough for me. I had the same issue with my younger brother, I think it's just an age thing. I ended up organizing some auto-investments from his account for him, he'll probably thank me in 20 years.

Moving back home worked out a lot better for me. I spent most of my 20's working long hours in a shitty job and losing most of my income to rent/bills to rent a single room in an old dilapidated shared house. Now I work part time, live in a nice house in a nice area and have more money than I know what to do with. I probably save 80% of my income month to month. I never dated when I lived alone anyway, so no great loss there.
