Ooo I haven't heard that phrase before, but that describes it perfectly! My mom always said that if you're going to be petty about something after you agree, just don't agree in the first place

Thank you very much! Part of the reason I wanted to talk about it here is because I don't have as many people in my life who would understand and appreciate this the way I do, so it means a lot to me to have this community's support! I certainly am not perfect, but I'm trying!

That’s what I’ve been thinking too honestly. There’s no current benefit to me having this IUD, and there are current drawbacks (cramps impacting my daily life), so I’m really inclined to remove it and deal with this later. If I was sexually active I think I could handle the cramping bc there’d be a trade off there at least, but I don’t see the point anymore for now.

I'll definitely read that and start trying to chart signs, I definitely would like to have a greater understanding of my cycle. Thanks for the tips with the copper IUD! Have you had cramping while not on your period? That's the most annoying part for me, I'd expect cramps while on my period even if they're worse than before, but I feel like I get them all the time.

Awesome, thank you! Have you experienced more cramping with the progesterone IUD?

Thank you for your thoughtful response! This is very useful, honestly. I'll definitely be doing some self-evaluation to figure out what I want and how to prioritize. I also have definitely changed my mind on people and become attracted to them after months of being friends (aka not attracted to them), so I think that attraction is, to a certain degree, variable. Again, thank you for your help and kind words.

Thank you for your response! Would you mind clarifying what heuristic for dominant means? I'm not familiar with that word and google didn't make much sense, haha. I don't feel that staying with him is a bad choice. I still feel there's room for me to fall in love with him, I was seeking advice as to help that along. I could be wrong, I could be right, I guess we'll see! I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

That makes sense! I do think I was inadvertently romanticizing it, since it was my first real relationship. I don't get the ick from him, I'm definitely attracted to him. Thank you for your advice!

That's honestly very reassuring, thank you. I've been thinking a lot about unrealistic expectations lately. I think in the past, with people who I knew weren't compatible, there was the "forbidden fruit" kind of allure, which added excitement. And I didn't really feel secure with them either. With my current guy, I feel very safe and calm, and a lot more free to be myself. Maybe instead of considering that boring, I should recognize that as the positive that it is, lol.

Copper IUD but nothing hormonal. We’ve been dating for around two months now, we’ve been physical (manual and oral) but haven’t had sex. I’d say we’re a fairly even match in terms of dominance, he’s maybe a bit higher than me?

Thank you for your response! That's been something I've been thinking about a lot honestly. I would consider the guy I'm dating to be strong and confident, not 100% my type physically but physical attraction has NOT been an issue (lol), on paper he's a great match for me. I just feel like there's a piece I'm not finding, and I've been wondering if that piece is me seeking drama and thinking I want more 'passion'? I have no idea why this is my issue, to be honest. My parents have a long and lovin…

So sorry for the very late reply, but this is a fantastic model, thank you! I've been thinking about it a lot, and you're definitely right. I am drawn to men who seem very capable or who have overcome significant challenges. While I like and value his beta green flags, I think that's the piece that's missing. To be honest, this actually made me recognize the ways that I (and my mother) sometimes dismiss my father or see him as foolish, despite the fact that he's a very capable man. I've decided …

That's what I figured, that us being in college impacted things, because all the advice I was reading was about guys with jobs. Thank you for your advice! Those all sound like really good ideas. He makes me feel very special, so I want to make sure I'm doing the same for him. And he does have the right mindset, it's honestly incredible to me because I've never experienced this before. He does other stuff too! I'm visibly pretty strong, but he insisted on carrying my groceries home for me, becaus…

Offering every other date sounds very reasonable. He has certain dietary restrictions, so making dinner at home sounds like a fantastic date idea. I will definitely be implementing your advice, thank you!

That makes sense! Do you have any advice on ways to take care of him?

That’s an excellent distinction, thank you for pointing it out. My ex did a milder version of “playing the boyfriend” so I think I’m cautious of that. But from my understanding my current guy hooked up with girls who knew the score, he’s not the type to be deceptive. Both bc he’s pretty straightforward, and he doesn’t need to play that game to get laid. And yes I agree that judging guys for their history narrows the pool. I don’t know his number and I don’t care enough to ask, lol. I appreciate …

That’s a very good point! Yes he’s handsome and charming, so he doesn’t have trouble with girls. I think I’m just worried it’s too much of a good thing, because I do really like him! But yeah there’s no real red flags yet so I am just going to be happy. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your considerate response! I will definitely be keeping these things in mind, you didn’t sound patronizing at all. That is something I’ve considered a bit, but mostly after things get more serious, it’ll be good for me to keep it in mind during talking stages too.

I’m in MMA and pretty fit, so I wear athletic clothes a lot. On a day-to-day basis, I wear sundresses very frequently. I try to straighten or curl my hair, and put a bit of mascara/eyeliner on most days. I’ve been told I have a very confident walk, I think I’m pretty confident and outgoing in general. Can be a bit brash at time (working on it), and my friends tell me I flirt with everybody because I like teasing people. So I guess vibes are friendly and confident, I look very feminine but can so…

First guy, didn’t make it past the talking stage because he made Jew jokes that I found to be in very bad taste, and insisted they were fine when I told him I was uncomfortable with it. Second guy, dated him for several months, broke up because he was super religious and believed being gay was a sin, which I refuse to raise my kids to believe. Third guy, talking stage, big fan of Andrew Tate, believed men being physical with other women wasn’t really cheating. Fourth guy, talking stage, loved tr…

If you are able to splurge on this, or maybe wait for a sale, I can’t recommend this curler enough: https://chi.com/chi-products/curling-irons-and-wands/chi-spin-n-curl-matte-black/ Makes things really easy and quick for me. But yeah, I completely understand why you get frustrated with it straight, I don’t like mine straight very much. Curls are the way to go imo. Best of luck, I hope you figure out a way to do your hair that you like!

What’s your hair texture? I also recently cut my hair to my shoulders, and I’ve been doing barrel curls a ton. Takes me less than 15 minutes and looks very soft and cute. I actually feel more feminine than with long hair sometimes, because I’d leave my hair straight and never really do anything with it when it was long.

Somewhat? I’ve found guys with those traits, but not ones I’ve “clicked with”, so I’m still searching. I get the sense you may have some thoughts on this. Any advice? Regarding finding more liberal former military or more masculine agnostic/atheist. I’m fine with moderate conservative, but my last (and only) relationship ended because he was strongly religious.

Not in the slightest! To be honest it's become a pattern, my friends joke that I go for military guys. Unfortunately they tend to have incompatible values/beliefs (I'm not conservative, not very religious) and that has caused problems for me in the past. While I'm sure there are military men who have more compatible values, I figured it might be best for me to learn from experience and look at a different demographic of men.

Thank you for your kind response! I really strive to give off those vibes, so thinking of the situation as a result of that helps and makes more sense. My family is very against age gap dating beyond like 2 years, so I think that's influenced my thinking, even though I tend to be attracted to guys who are around 24-25.

This is so helpful, thank you! I wear sundresses a lot, but definitely need to step up with my shoes and nails, and work on not swearing.

Do you have any advice for being feminine and authentic? I’m naturally boisterous, which is what I play up when I’m joking with the guys. My concern is trying to curb that elsewhere would feel fake; it has in the past when I’ve tried. I want to be more feminine because I want to feel and be treated more femininely, if that makes sense?

😂 the transition from destroyer to lady is difficult, you’re very right. Can I ask how you and your husband met? I worry I don’t compartmentalise that part of me well enough and am limiting myself to guys who fight (they’re very attractive to me tbh)
/r/RedPillWomen22/02/23 12:12 PM

My concern is exactly what you says, increasing my required threshold (and thus further limiting my pool of options). I definitely don’t want to be seen as a girl in MMA, I should’ve been more clear in the main text. I just notice that that sort of bro-y behavior comes naturally to me in other situations too (it always has), and I can struggle to compartmentalise. In particular i had a date with a military guy and found myself joking with him the way I do with my MMA peers, and I worry that that…

Thank you so much for your wonderful response! That makes a lot of sense, to test the waters about their views on kids and then SAHMs, I didn’t even think about how that can help gauge their beliefs towards relationship dynamics. I’m not in business or anything like that, but I actually have a few friends in business and engineering frats, so I might try to join them at events, and hopefully meet people that way! You’re definitely right about the MMA thing. Most of the guys are great but there a…

I’m very glad to hear that! That gives me hope of finding a good match, so thank you for sharing :). My school is liberal, in a liberal area. However it’s a very large college so there is still a definite conservative section. Can I ask how you and your husband met? Or how you picked/found somebody who’s socially liberal and also traditional?

I am 21, and looking to start a family in the next 7-10 years. I am generally attracted to older guys, do you have any advice on how to meet them? I don’t do much outside of my college classes and clubs, so I usually only interact with my peers.

Mostly our differences in religious views. We’re both Christians, but he believes homosexuality is a sin, for example, and I very much do not. However, he thinks it’s important not to judge and has friends and mentors who are gay. This is probably my biggest concern for a long term relationship, because I worry about the impact that belief would have on a kid, especially since there’s no way of telling if your child will be gay. I guess in our daily life we get along very well and don’t really h…

Thank you so much! I will definitely work on complimenting him, I think that comes more naturally to me than being “flirty”. Haha yes it’s definitely easy to be sweet now, and I’ll work at continuing that in the future. Thank you for your advice!
