Pre-nups. Discuss how assets are to be split with a good couples therapist or if you can't find one, directly with each other.Draw up contracts e.g. if you cheat the marriage is annulled and I get this much as compensation or in case of a divorce we keep what we had before the marriage and do so-and-so with what we earned after.

Finish your exams first if you don't you risk having to wait another year if the guy your dating tries to sabotage you. It's not wrong to want a relationship, just if it's your final year and your final exam, that takes priority. After you pass your exam, and only after you can look into dating but look for jobs in the meanwhile; don't let men consume your life. You don't want to become financially dependent on a man. You should be aiming to save enough to move out preferably into your own house…

(B). (A) sounds like they bore you to death, are completely unmotivated and has no life outside of maybe work and twiddling his thumbs. You sound significantly more interested in (B). Unless it's something like person (B) is in debt because of his family (in which case they should focus on paying it off first) or his family members have asked you for money when you met them, it doesn't really make a difference. So long as both he and his family are respectful and generous and you're happy in the…

Don't have kids with this guy. He wants you to work directly after your pregnancy. There's a reason they give you a break and it's not because pregnancy is easy or risk free. Not to mention that if you get hurt during the pregnancy this guy is most definitely the type to coerce you into working. Don't believe the "we'll hire a nanny" rhetoric what he means is you'll hire a nanny and handle everything vaguely related to the children even directly after a traumatic pregnancy while he takes the cre…

A good relationship should make you feel happy, not anxious or bored. You shouldn't be constantly thinking about them but spending time with them should make you happy. If all you're feeling for someone is "eh" you're wasting your time dating them, even if they do turn out to the the nicest person in the world. At the same time though, a feeling of instability isn't good either.

Go for it. Dating dumber men does not mean that they'll be any nicer the way dating less attractive men doesn't make them any nicer. High IQ and high EQ is not too much to ask. If the guy "becomes" condescending he was a condescending jerk in the first place and no number of PhDs will change that. Even if he was uneducated he'd still mansplain and condescend in a "Your PhD is worthless" way, because no matter how great your achievements are, LVM will try to put you down for them, whether it's in…

Because the women are rightfully afraid of being assaulted by the men at the homeless shelters and because women get prostituted by pimps targeting vulnerable women or trafficked or killed by the men. It's also why you see less homeless women; they have to hide much better to survive. Where a man could just sit on some random park bench to beg, a woman would have to check escape routes, scan the area for threats and even then they're still at risk. Men are also more likely to be "professional be…

The relationship you're describing still seems pointless and gay or not, he's still flaking on you, pushy, rude, constantly late, unorganised and deliberately ignores commitments that he's agreed to. Gay doesn't instantly mean HV.

I do game, but any man who comes out and says "I'm a gamer" straight up without you asking is a red flag. Normally it's done in a way that sets it up as an excuse e.g. "I'm a gamer therefore I can't be bothered to respond/spend time with you/want you to sit there doing nothing and watching me while I game". If they bring it up unprompted and it isn't their profession it's a red flag (and even if it is their profession that tends to be a red flag). I would also check what type of game he's playin…

She's saying moving cities especially for the men and the female/male ratio. She's doing it because she's worried that she'll be unmarried by 30. She says she already has her dream job so either she's planning on inconveniencing herself daily to move away or give that up completely to move to a city with more men. She's also going to be moving away from her friends and hobbies, family relationships and volunteering opportunities (considering she's lived there 3 years.) If it were "moving cities …

Don't move cities for men. It's like exchanging a large trashcan for another trashcan (no offense to trashcans or trash). If there's something you like in life e.g. wide open spaces, lively areas with lots of people etc. go for it, but don't force yourself to go somewhere because the men there might be marginally less trashy. There's over 7.6 billion people on Earth; all you're looking for is one. If you move cities for a hypothetical man you will be disappointed. Even if you do meet the prince …

Whether 6 figures is a big deal depends on where you live and what currency you're using e.g. euro or american dollars. For example, in some places 100,000 dollars doesn't count towards much because of the cost of living is so high. (Congratulations you have enough for 1/10th of a house and not even a particularly expensive one like a beach house assuming you somehow legally evade tax and never do anything with your money, including eat, buy clothes etc.) It's definitely hard if not downright im…

In my family, it's pretty much always been the man transfers his salary to his wife's bank account and she handles finances regardless of children. The house is in her name (added bonus of tax reduction without much risk to either side since it'd still be split in the case of a divorce anyways) and the husband's account is the debt account. It wasn't legally mandated through a prenup, it's just how finances were handled. I'd suggest you get a prenup for it though since there's always a chance th…

Don't stay with a man like this. This isn't puppy school; it's a grown man who know what he's doing. You can try all you want to "train" them but at the end of the day they still secretly or sometimes even openly hate you and still only want to use you. Leaving is the consequence.

Ugh, he takes on the role of an average married woman with children, minus the trauma from childbirth for the smallest amount of time and he ruins his entire family's life. Just goes to show how a bad relationship is worse than no relationship at all. Without him at least she'd have enough subsidies to survive, no kids to take care of and money in case of an emergency (which he wasted on drugs), but because of him all she has is debt.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/06/21 06:56 AM

I've heard that "Why does he do that" is good for identifying ways men will try to manipulate you and abuse you e.g. gaslighting, but focuses more on how to identify these men. (Take this with a grain of salt because I've never actually read the book, but from what people have said about it it seems to be useful for identifying these tactics.) However, you've already identified that he is toxic. How you deal with him depends on your situation. Normally, you would cut a man like this off, but I g…

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 09:09 AM

That's pretty much what a narcissist does. They're fine and act all lovey-dovey when you fit their mould of who they think you should be but the minute you disagree with them you break their illusion and they show their toxicity. He's showing his true self in those arguments; devoid of empathy and viewing everything as a transaction. Narcissists create the image of a perfect man and use it to treat you like garbage. They're "nice" some of the time; whatever they feel is enough to keep you around…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 08:32 AM

I think he's already proven himself - proven himself incapable of meeting the bare minimum of decency through his treatment of kindness as transactional.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 06:37 AM

Get rid of him. He sees all good deeds as transactional and will treat them like brownie points to coerce you into doing things for him. (e.g. Remember 10 years ago when I held a door that was already open? That means you owe me so and so.) Like the "nice guys" who only do nice things when they're trying to get laid, their niceness is fake and a means to an end; making you feel indebted to them in this case.

Even if he asked for exclusivity and hasn't gone anywhere the whole time you've been dating, assume he's cheating with the whole country, men and women, when deciding whether he needs an STD test. You don't know if he got an STD from a past relationship and is lying about it or if he's one of the types to only ask for exclusivity because he wants you to be exclusively his but not to be exclusively yours.

I think a neurodivergent man would be the same in that if he doesn't show he loves you, he probably doesn't. There are definitely HVM who are not neurotypical who have their own ways of showing affection or invent new ones, whether it's by putting ridiculous amounts of effort in small things like the setup of a date to make it perfect or through special secret codes; like the story of the woman whose husband/boyfriend developed a code where he would tap 3 times to say I love you and did it so of…

Yep. Violent and unstable men gravitate towards the military, because they can shoot things, hurt things etc and get paid for it. They're normally lacking in empathy (because a job that involves killing people, including innocent ones, isn't exactly made for Mr Empathy). They are then trained to be even more lacking in empathy (think don't save your friend because your officer said so). As a woman in the military, you're more likely to be r*ped by someone on your side than be shot by the enemy.

I don't like the term "demi-sexual" because it implies that by wanting to feel affection and to have the person you are having sex with and risking STIs, pregnancy and risk death for return that affection is somehow abnormal. It's like the term "metrosexual" (where a man shows an interest in looking any better than a bridge troll through good fashion and self-care choices) which was invented so men could feel that being decently kept was strange and to justify their own poor appearance. I like how both secrets and porn addiction have an extra layer over the words (the hand and the strap) to keep them hidden, while all hers are out in the open. And "Heart on sleeve", while not the best trait to have when you are dealing with terrible people, is not "baggage". Also, the "toxic ex" is very unlikely to be actually toxic, just responding to terrible treatment.

I feel like the actual reason for this is that so many women feel like they have to put "able to hold down a decent paying job without gambling everything away" as their highest standard, or they're shallow and not seeing a man for "who he is" (which in most cases is still trash, just less attractive looking trash). How many films have an actually "ugly" (not Hollywood completely made up face, perfect body) older yet irresponsible woman with her life in shambles end up with an attractive success…

Yeah, they can be hard to get out of your life since they normally double down when they feel like you could escape your grasp. They tend to be super toxic and draining. Get him to change his last name if he wants the whole family to have the same last name for practical purposes. Find a new boyfriend? It's not your job to change him. If you need to overthink about the conversation on something as below-bare-minimum as a skincare routine, then you should reconsider the relationship. If he has permanently flawless skin and applies SPF, it's excusable, but if he doesn't, and has done nothing to change it, that's an indicator of his lack of care for his own body and your opinion of him. They also will have no problem being able to ask out the girl they actually want and if they're flirting, it's normally for a cheap hit of validation. I think women tend to be more naïve about the depravity of some men or trust men too much, because they have so much empathy and can't even imagine doing such terrible things to others, which is why we're seen as "dumb" or "ditzy" for believing men at face value. It's not a formal rule, just a common stereotype on what women want, normally brought up as a "women have too high standards" type of thing. You decide your own rules based on what you want from a partner e.g. if you make 7 figures you go for people making 7 figures instead.

The feeling of dread is your intuition. If you're not feeling loved, then leave the relationship. If you get a bad feeling around them leave. Your brain is picking up the subtle hints of abusive behaviour that you would normally ignore. Relationships are meant to make your life better and less stressful; not more stressful. If you dread being near him, dump him. You don't want to date a guy you have to be constantly afraid of.

He should be the one cooking for her. They aren't even married and she's already playing second mother. She's paying to feed him like he's a baby. Even she admits he's spoilt. Just because someone has a mental illness doesn't mean they're incapable of doing things for themselves and those that they actually care about. He's capable of eating, talking and complaining, indicating that he should have enough intelligence to cook his own meals and pay for them.

FDS applies 100 percent. Even if you don't have a baby and have a thousand backup plans in case you fall pregnant it doesn't protect you from falling ill, sustaining an injury or a LVM trying to trap you into a marriage by sabotaging birth control. Not to mention the men who'll target childfree women just to try to pressure you into having kids.

Mostly for selfish reasons, yes. Men who dehumanize women will regret losing free labour due to their terrible behaviour. They'll fake regret to get their free labour back. They might also "regret" it if they lose something that they want over it, like being fired, but they'll mostly resent the women for daring to inconvenience them slightly. Some might eventually but it's more of a "look at me, I regret everything bad I've ever done so I should be instantly forgiven" type of thing, normally at …

He should want to treat you well if he's actually interested in you, but giving "wife benefits" is devaluing yourself. Honestly, I wouldn't date anyone who you actively see as imperfect, especially hoping that they'll change. Flaws are red flags. Cut off whoever said that you can't expect someone to be perfect, they're deliberately trying to lower your standards because they benefit from your lowered standards. Not everyone is toxic. While it is a toxic mentality to sacrifice your mental and physical health for "perfection", asking for the bare minimum is not toxic. An example of an actual "imperfection" would b…

Honestly just vet, vet, vet. What's important is that you're fulfilled single. You don't have to actively look for a HVM. HV people are attracted to other HV people and so long as you're happy having "a man" doesn't really matter. You can give up on actively dating. If you really want to date, go to places where people with similar interests are, e.g. art club, book club, volunteering centre etc. and see if you like anyone there. It most definitely should be longer. 3 months is the bare minimum. Even if you're both deeply in love, there isn't a single red flag, he's physically highly attractive to you and every person he's ever interacted with thinks he's the best man that ever lived, you should be waiting longer. If you're not attracted let them go. Not every seeming HVM is meant to be your HVM. If they're preventing you from dating a HVM that you're attracted to they're at best a LVM to you. Biologically, if you're unattracted to a man, it might have something to do with your genetics being incompatible (pheromones signifying lack of reproductive compatibility). If you aren't attracted to them, then you're wasting your time and theirs, and you will eventually resent the relationship.

Why are the only options 15-17? You shouldn't be too concerned with dating in those years. 30s are a much better time, when you have your life goals and career sorted. He doesn't even care that he's punched his wife, probably knocking her out according to what he told the 911 operator, stabbed his wife, and she is in need of medical assistance, he just wants to be absolved of all sin by admitting he wants to murder the person he married.

They're currently raging over the men over 35 - sperm has a biological clock post, and attempting to use that to justify pedophilia. How is men under 35 the same as women under 18 in their deluded little minds, I'll never know. Even they gotta admit it's "grounded in science" and they have to throw a strawman pedophilia argument. The ideal age for women to give birth according to the very first search result you get is 30.5, because there is less of a risk of complications due to underdeveloped …

That or covered up. It annoys me to no end that if I want to search up the discovery of double-helix DNA, I get two men that stole Rosalind Franklin's work without giving her an ounce of credit. That and she didn't get the Noble Prize, because she had died of ovarian cancer. There is a lot to dissect here. This article seems to be promoting porn as a great place to learn how to have sex, that has the side effect of ED and low effort in bed, not to mention, promotes the lie that porn usage should be treated as something so normal that it's a matter of how much porn someone watches. Let's take a few examples. "and maybe still goes back to it once or twice a year when sex with a partner, for some reason or another, becomes scarce. " (Regarding porn usage.) No HVM will …

I probably won't have them, ever. If I "had" (loose definition of had here, but bear with me) a child (no way am I ever having more), it would probably be in a "sorority" type of group, with female only friends who want children living together in a household and co-parenting, and even then, I wouldn't want to be the one getting pregnant. Using your $1000 - $500 model (where these are your rent costs), if he finds a place which is say $1200, will you be paying $600 ("50-50", and an all round terrible idea, it'd raise your cost of living for a place HE wants to be in), $500 (where he pays $300 less, while you pay the same), $400 (where you pay in the ratio that you were paying before), $200 (where he only makes you cover what he can't afford) or $0?

One of the things I had to look up myself was that lying down is one of the worst positions to have a baby in, besides hanging upside down or something insane. The only reason women have to give birth in that position, risking their lives and their baby's life further, is because a male doctor liked seeing them like that. Tell him to get a vasectomy. Either he gets a vasectomy or don't have sex. You aren't married, and sex is NEVER a requirement either way. Why are you already having sex with him, and why are you sacrificing your body for HIS pleasure. There is no reason to pump yourself full of hormones and irritate your whole reproductive system, all while raising your chances of getting cancer, because a man doesn't want to pull out. Not to mention, why isn't he already using condoms? Birth control is not fail…

Dump him, or you have no one but yourself to blame for your LVM deadweight trash. He picks fights with you and doesn't put in effort TO PLEASE YOU, because that's not what makes him happy, you said so yourself. He only cares about his own pleasure.

No, you are not weird for this. 34 is already wayyy too high for someone who's only 28 by my standards. If you'd only date a year or two younger than you, why would you date someone who thinks dating that many years younger is appropriate?

I want to know, who carries the kid if it's a sperm donor? Even carrying a kid is already a huge career roadblock (having to take time off, less efficient work because you're tired from creating a literal human being), not to mention, pregnancy and childbirth isn't exactly easy. I'm asking because I've been thinking about something like this since I found FDS, except with the two eggs procedure. Also the hugging. Why a hug, an act that involves a lot of touching after the description of attempted r*pe? It does sound a lot like trauma bonding. Not to mention his childhood friend was the cause, and the whole white knight/saviour complex. He doesn't sound like he thinks of you as a "friend".

Yes. The "purity" ring thing sounds like its been pushed on to them from a very young age. The fact that only her sisters are prepared for it implies that there is definitely pressure being put on them to accept the ring.

That would be a lack of effort on his part (he could just be copying some rom com to get you to have sex with him or not be bothered enough to learn how to actually please you: finding the clit, making sure you're relaxed, etc.), instead of his pornified 5-minute jackhammering version) or an attraction issue. If that's the case, you might have a case of compulsory heterosexuality. Here are some key points someone posted. Do any of these match you? Viewing relationships with men as a chore, burde…

They started living together when she was 20 and started dating when she was 19? No, no and no. Grooming, 100%. She out-earns him and isn't married to him, but wants to be, and have his kids, while he's a jobless former bartender and doesn't want to take care of his own kids. And he was double her age when they started dating? So many things wrong with this. I feel sorry for her. 15 years of her life wasted by THIS.

No. Definitely not HVM. If he only treated her well and treated his exes badly he'll eventually do the same to her. Not to mention she's out of his league, which is the only reason you're seeing the good behaviour. And you aren't the one dating him. Just cause he pays doesn't means he is good.

What women are saying: Please look decent and act with basic decency. Have even half of the emotional intelligence of a puppy. Show that you're actually interested and not in it for the arm-candy. What pickmeishas hear: I have *gasp* standards. "Or whatever you can afford" gives it away. If you can't afford $50 and your most prominent positive trait is your money (thus why you'd be so afraid of "gold-diggers"), you seriously need to re-evaluate before thinking you can put beautiful and successful women (let's be serious, no way is he trying to date someone even half as broke or trashy as he is) through the Hunger Games for your trashy grocery store shopping date. Gross. One of the top posts is literally 'it's unfair that a grown man take out the trash instead of the underage daughter, even if it's night because gender equality'. It's not even the girl's fault. It's someone else they're quoting, probably a man talking about his own household. Then there's someone being upfront with their expectations. Then there's a literal SIGN that say that a woman wants a man who can talk, help with chores and fix things, with a car and a generous disposition and that …

Nope. That amulet costs $156 USD max on Etsy, and only if you get it in sterling sliver, with turquoise and the full necklace. Less depending on whether you get the full chain or real turquoise or if you want it in brass.

Yeah. I heard two songs from it "Almost There" and "Dig a Little Deeper" and I noped out. She gives up her life dream for a gold-digger of a man who tricked and coerced her into a kiss she only accepted so she could afford to open a restaurant, only for him to not give her the money and doom her to life as a frog. Not to mention that she's known this man for a day before getting married. And he's jobless and she's obviously prettier.

Too Long : Didn't Watch: basically a man needs his emotional and sexual need met but a woman doesn't; therefore lower your standards, because men are pretty bad in general, and can't meet bare minimum standards. And of course, she can only mention height and income as a "laundry list" of requirements. Apparently a man's list is soooo different and so undemanding, because they only want you to do unpaid emotional labour, look attractive 100% of the time, have sex, ditch your (high earning) job to…

Be careful of the aside from that mentality. It's part of the scarcity mindset. If it's "aside from this" instead of "including this" that's a problem. It's how people start ignoring red flags because "apart from red flag he's perfect." The red flags are there for a reason, you just were lucky enough to notice one of them before going straight to a relationship. I'd suggest holding off on sex. Be careful, this guy dated you when you had low self esteem, and might see you as another trophy-girlfr…

Red/orange/yellow flag: it's been 7 dates and he's still calling you pretty lady instead of your name. If "pretty" is the only trait he sees in you, that's a red flag. He might be trying to use you to fulfil some fantasy of chivalry. Be wary of him trying to make you fit into some sort of script (in this case, probably the swooning damsel in distress). I would keep my guard up.

Only do it if you own the house that's being rented. If he wants to live with you so desperately, then make sure he's not a psychopathic abuser/murderer first, and make him pay for your mortgage. Or just dump him. Chances are if he's making you pay his mortgage while you're his girlfriend, he appreciates you as much as a random stranger. Unless you're being signed on as the house's owner, I wouldn't recommend moving in either in case he turns out abusive or you break up, because it's much harder…

No. No. And for good measure, no. Why would you get back together? There's a reason you've broken up so many times. He doesn't love you and isn't afraid of losing you. He's keeping you around because you're easy. Because you're free sex. You think what you deserve is him. Sorry, but we can't help you with that. Until you get rid of the leech dragging you down, you can't level up. If you want drama, that's what you're getting. Your boyfriend is a drama "queen". He's taking advantage of you C-PTSD…
