If I had found this sub at 15, my life would have absolutely been changed for the better. I could’ve avoided a lot of trauma and heartache but you live and you learn. Teen boys are as entitled, if not more entitled then those in their 20s and absolutely MUST be vetted.

I was your age when I first met the man who assaulted me, which drastically altered the course of my life, and I’ve thought so many times about all the things I wish I could say to my younger self. I’m so happy for you that you found the wisdom and strength to not go along with the bs at such a young age. It feels so good to know that this community can help younger generations to avoid making the same mistakes we did 😭

Same! I found this sub when I was 14, and pretty much in the same situation. It stopped me from making quite a few bad decisions (asking out someone who wasn't interested, not focusing on self improvement when I had a crush, etc.).

I am so impressed at how self aware and mature you write for your age! You sound more put together than I was when I was 25. I'm glad you found this place; I wish I had when I was your age. It really is important as women that we learn to look out for ourselves, because the world won't. Your age is when so many girls fall for predatory societal traps. Glad to have you here!

Nice job. I also found this sub in high school though on an older account. I didn't join for the longest time because I was still holding onto hope that most men really weren't like this deep down, but when every man or boy in my life was acting exactly like what I see on this sub, it's just the truth. It's a pattern of behavior at that point. Only a few were meeting the BARE MINIMUM.

I think the best thing this sub has given me was a bigger sense of confidence since finding it, like I would always be scared of public speaking and I would stutter before but now I am fine asserting myself because I've realized a lot of the guys who would judge me have no basis. Sometimes people find me arrogant but I don't care. I'd rather be full of myself than another pickme. Plus, I would always second guess my opinions but now I just don't care about what others think. This sub is great for confidence boosting.

I'm really not missing much. Often in high school shit would be thrown at me and my friends at lunch by groups of underclassmen boys and I'd be so close to fighting them, but I know if I did I would be the one getting suspended for being older and for throwing the first punch. I am not playing mommy for some dude. And I'm happy that none of my family care that I've never dated, even if some can be LVM or pickmes. No "where's a boyfriend" kinda talk bc I exude so much not giving a shit energy. That's the way it's gotta be.
