The comments are a shitshow as expected. Some scrote whining about: ”the way you women are currently acting is red flags for all men. look how hysterical you are” “that why divorce rates are so high and when the man is asked, he thought the relationship was fine. women file for divorce far more to boot?” So women are “hysterical” and emotional, but also secretive and impossible to read to the point where we hide our marital issues from our spouse until the moment of divorce? You’d think hubby wo…

These men have absolutely no empathy for women. Rape is to sex what waterboarding is to a shower. They’re not even remotely comparable.

The story piqued my interest, so I read the book it was based off of, and Charles Sobraj is no tragic figure. He was given every opportunity to succeed and he consistently chose the “easy” way out (crime). It’s likely that his tumultuous upbringing had a lot to do with it, but nothing in his history could even begin to mitigate his actions.

I saw the miniseries, and having (unfortunately) some experience with antisocial men like this, I can say with all honesty that they absolutely nailed the manipulative tactics they often use. The way they portrayed Marie-André as being naïve, self-conscious and desperate for male approval, and the way that naturally led her to becoming easy pickings for sociopaths like Charles, was so spot/on and eye-opening. It was like a worst-case-scenario for my own pickme tendencies at the time and really s…

This is so true, I’m an immigrant from a country where impressionable white kids often visit for “spiritual” experiences. These kids practically have a giant target on their backs, wearing “cultural” clothes that they bought at a 1000% markup at some tourist trap, and treating everything and everyone they see as if they’re in some kind of immersive theme park. I do empathize with them, because they’re so far outside of their element, and all they’ve been taught is the “magic” and “mysticism” of …

Recently saw a film adaptation about her called Effie Gray (it’s on Netflix), and it was horrible what he put that poor woman through. It was also rumored that he was actually a pedophile, because he began courting Effie when she was pretty young, and after the divorce he went on to court another young girl that he was tutoring, but was prevented from getting her parent’s approval after they wrote to Effie asking about him.

If you’re an fan of hers— check out the show, The Great, on hulu. It’s a comedic historical fiction about her rise to power. I couldn’t recommend it more. Elle Fanning plays Catherine (and kills it) plus the guys are pretty hot

He’s always been a dangerous misogynist— him and the rest of the “pusy posse.” Apparently they would go out to the clubs and disrespectfully hit on women, then beat up any guys that tried to defend them. Between him and Tobey McGuire they had a lot of pull in Hollywood so these women had to choose between being “coerced” (raped) or blacklisted. They all got together and made a movie called “Don’s Plum” which was apparently almost completely ad-libbed, and so disgustingly misogynistic that they e…

I agree with all of these except for Desperate Housewives, which was a tongue-in-cheek title attempting to mock the trope of the helpless, ditzy housewife by portraying women who used their soft power skills to their own unique advantages. Very FDS friendly show if anyone’s never seen it

When I finally dumped my cheating ex after discovering that he’d been stringing along multiple women on fb in long distance relationships, I sent each and every single one of them the screenshots of his texts to me. My college bfs used to get hard with a single word, now guys in their 20s can’t keep it up in the middle of the act, it’s sad. The first pornsick guy I dated was only in his mid 30’s, but he was way older than me so I assumed it was normal for that age group smh.. then I found at least a Terabyte of porn downloaded onto his computer, some of it from cam girls and clearly without their knowledge. Same. This is yet another reason why we should never date coworkers (or at the very least be incredibly wary). Their interest largely stems from the clout they gain by “getting“ you. Pretty much exactly what you said— but also misogyny and violence against women is so pervasive even amongst relatively wealthy and well-educated families, that a lot of women start to get the impression that a “good man” is simply someone who won’t drink/gamble away your finances, won’t beat you or your children, won’t sleep with prostitutes and won’t abandon you. If you’re literally breathing and have a dick between your legs, you’re set as a Desi man.

one 23-year-old woman said, “It feels like we were tricked into exploiting ourselves.” there have been growing signs of young women rebelling against a culture that prizes erotic license over empathy and responsibility. They’re all porn sick scrotes. Take it from an Indian woman— Indian guys have grown up watching porn with white actresses in it, so they form an implicit association between white women and the depraved porn they watch. This is of course only exacerbated by the colourism which is already present in our society. The savvy ones never even bring it up to the white girls they date because they know it’s disgusting— but rest assured their ‘bros’ hear all about it..🤮

Yeah, my grandfather literally built my grandmother a house when he was 25, and after he passed she sold it for 5x what he paid initially. Yes she did all the childcare and cooking, but only because he was almost literally working all of the time, and when he wasn’t at work he was fixing or building something. Yes, absolutely! The practice of stoicism goes hand in hand with mindfulness, because in order to be a stoic, you must be acutely mindful of your emotional state in order to prevent it from controlling you. Stoicism is about recognizing the moods and actions of others as separate from your self-worth or identity. It’s about making conscious decisions to keep your moral compass pointed north no matter how the winds blow.

She feels defensive and upset because people are (rightfully) calling him a loser and a liar. She’s clearly hung up all of her self-worth on her relationship with him, so her ego can’t take it. She’s rather be used by him than admit to herself that she’s being used by him. It’s quite telling from her last statement about being alone— she thinks that’s somehow a worse fate than being with a NVM

These are both very critical pieces of advice. The first one is a favorite method for abusers to keep tabs on you while you’re physically out of their reach (second maybe to internet/computer monitoring). Don’t make the mistake of underestimating the lengths that abusive men will go to when they think their grip on you is being threatened. Idk what’s more sad— the fact that scrotes have this instinctive “excuse” for passing their share of the housework on to women which transcends generations and borders— or the fact that women almost universally fall for, and perpetuate it.

Exactly— I work in the mental Heath field and women are much more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety than men at any age and social station. We’re especially more vulnerable during puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Some of this may be hormonal, but after years of seeing how women are treated by men and society during these phases of life, I’m absolutely certain that it’s partially a trauma response to the bullying, abuse and hatred that’s piled on us —especially during these times. We …

I remember hearing about a missing persons case like that, where this lady more or less had a psychotic break and began messaging random men on a “murder fetish board.” She eventually sent an email to her husband telling him that she was getting on a greyhound and leaving him for some other man and she’d never be back. They found messages between the man and her detailing how she wanted to be brutally murdered and buried in the desert somewhere. Police never found her and never arrested the guy …

Sure, I’m not disagreeing that they’re still dangerous— in fact I think I explicitly said that— only that calling someone n “narcissist” is very different from saying that they have NPD. It’s a very specific diagnosis, which, as you said, takes expertise and sometimes years, to diagnose.

Exploring your kinks should be fun, if you’re not feeling it that’s perfectly fine, just just be mindful that his love language might be physical touch, so make sure to reassure him when you decline so he doesn’t feel rejected! Maybe suggest a massage, or bj instead? Idk just some ideas :D”

It certainly could be a covert narcissist, but I’d be careful about making generalizations about diagnostic labels. It’s entirely possible for someone to have traits of NPD without meeting full criteria. That doesn’t make them any less dangerous though.

That movie hits too close for comfort. I have a friend who’s a doctor now, but she had to take an extended leave of absence after her male classmate r*ped her while she was passed out after a party. I’ve heard other stories from my friends in medicine about male colleagues being touchy/grabby and trying to get them into their cars after work dinners because they thought they were drunk, and all sorts of sexual harassment and abuse from residents to med students..

Yeah I agree with you there, but then I remind myself that FDS is a big tent, and we’ve got non-native speakers, very young women/girls, and much older women, and many of these demographics just aren’t the target audience for a comedian who is almost constantly using at least 2-3 layers of visual and verbal irony.

I would venture to guess that this is a big part of why he’s so conflicted about his work— because he knows a lot of his audience are just low-EQ morons looking for some musical comedy. Half of his live standup jokes have been about the audience and how they don’t actually care about the issues he’s bringing up, they just laugh on queue.

Another great example of the same phenomenon— despite making up a minute fraction of violent crime, there’s somehow an entire show dedicated to female killers. To the point where this show is brought up as “proof” that “women are violent too” whenever male violence is brought up. Even if the show runners aren’t explicitly saying “both sides bad”, that becomes the cultural through line. They might as well make a show about male breast cancer survivors next.

None of the LVM I’ve dated ever had anything good to say about their fathers either though. Some of them were straight up abusive. Point being that yeah their moms weren’t the best in the world, but it’s possible (and likely) that these women just had children before they were ready for them, and were given little to no support from their NV husbands. These women were as much victims as perpetrators, which is not a excuse necessarily, but a reminder that we tend to dump al parenting responsibili…

I think three big reasons why SW is so enticing to young women/teenagers is because: a) it gets them attention, which is really the deepest desire for the vast majority of people at that age, b) offers the possibility of immediate (degrees take foreeever) financial independence —and what does every kid fantasize about? Not having to ask their parents for permission to buy shit c) many young women (rightly) equate ‘sexuality’ with ‘maturity’, without realizing that the former dilutes not require,…

Not even remotely a dumb question! Yes, that’s basically what happens. The basic overview is that the Y chromosome is pretty small and only has a couple of important genes, the most important being the SRY gene which codes for thr SRY protein which activates a bunch of cells/processes which lead to expression of AMH (anti-müllarian hormone). The Müllerian ducts are the “default” mode of a human fetus, and without further intervention they differentiate into the female urogenital system (kidneys,…

It’s not exactly that LVM are all (or mostly) psychopaths, but rather that they’re simply misogynists. As human beings we have the ability and natural proclivity towards having empathy— but this is conditional. It’s the same for all of us, there are certain circumstances under which we all have reduced empathy towards others. For you or I our empathy may exclude violent or dangerous criminals, but for misogynists, that excludes most women (typical exceptions being immediate family). Does this me…

I find this show to be a fascinating case study on the way in which misogyny and toxic masculinity pervades even “alternative” cultures (you could make a case for gaming/nerd culture now being the mainstream version of masculinity). A lot (if not most) of those abortions will have been coerced by the husband and his family. Women in India, and even immigrants living in western countries, are completely at the mercy of their husbands family, and are practically domestic slaves. I get what you’re saying, and I agree that men don’t specifically need to be taught about consent— women do too. We’re taught to “go with the flow,” “be chill,” “be adventurous,” “explore,” “push your limits,” etc. these are all euphemisms for “just let him rape you— maybe you’ll like it? 🤷‍♂️” We need to restructure the narrative around sex in general because the…

I can shed some light on that. An oversimplification would be that menopause decreases the net effect of estrogens in a woman’s body, and many pelvic floor tissues have estrogen receptors on them, which leads to atrophy once estrogen levels start to drop. This is also why many post-menopausal women will experience vaginal dryness, urinary incontinence, and in the worst case scenario, pelvic organ prolapse.

It got to the point where I didn’t know if he just didn’t understand the definition of gaslighting or if he was trying to muddy it for me so I would stop using it.. either way it was effective

He was leering at them exactly because he knew they would react with fear and not anger. He knew he was in no danger of being publicly shamed or attacked, and it made him feel powerful to get such a reaction out of them with just a look. Also the same reason adult men harass young women on the street.. easy prey

That’s so true— I was blindsided by the catch-22 of dating as a woman when I first entered the field. If you’re overly cautious and don’t accept invitations to his place or invite him up to yours or accept rides etc. then you’re a prude and will be mocked accordingly, BUT if you do accept those things then you give up your right to say no to whatever he chooses to do if he decides not to accept your polite refusals thereafter. I’m convinced that every woman who has ever dated has quickly realize…

Modern Japanese culture is incredibly misogynistic. Women are expected to compete in school and the workplace on a tilted playing-field which scrotes defend by saying that women will drop out of work once they’re married to become homemakers so education and promotions are wasted on them. Women are groped* and raped and still expected to keep quiet about it lest they embarrass their family with their own victimization. Japanese men spend decades jerking off to cartoon children, and then complain…

Same, I lived next door to a really awful man who had several cats (one of them at least was his gf’s who took it with her when she left him). I would hear the most horrific arguments between them, and hours of emotional abuse while she just broke down and cried. He’d call her awful names and tear down her family and friends etc. She finally left him (thank god) but he continued to live there for years after according to my friend, and would often be seen chatting up single women who’d just move…

Because in their minds, not giving men the benefit of the doubt is literally hate speech. I used to be one of these women, I’m sure a lot of us did, where I would immediately get defensive on behalf of men because I didn’t want to be seen as one of “those” women. Literally just virtue signaling to the patriarchy

It’s true, tradesmen are almost universally misogynistic in my experience. Last winter I had my furnace crap out the very day that a giant arctic storm was set to hit, so I frantically called my management company trying to get them to send a plumber out before it got bad enough to choke the streets. When they finally sent someone over (nearly 12 hrs later) I showed him the furnace and gas main etc. he started to tinker around and I stayed to ask him questions and see what he was doing so that I…

The point is to celebrate heterosexual female attraction on our own terms without worrying what men think about it. We’re so often told what we should like that we forget what we actually do like. I’ve had multiple female friends wonder out loud if they’re asexual because they no longer find men attractive— but the truth is that most men don’t brother to try and on top of that society brainwashes us into thinking ugly men are actually attractive. TLDR: We post pictures of the huge variety of men…

That’s a good point, and I’d like to add that a lot of scrotes don’t see children as human or empathize with them at all. That’s an excellent point, and I think also speaks to a larger issue with the way we educate our children (I could go on about that for days) but the crux of the issue is that children (and adults) learn best when they’re driven by curiosity rather than fear of failure. I learned as much as I have about computers, not through someone sitting me down and telling me to learn or else, but by playing around and fucking things up and learning to fix them myself. Similarly, we all learn about relation…

My mom used to say that too— slightly angrier but same idea, and tbh that just pushed me to keep my feelings and interactions with boys a secret which imo was much more harmful. Young adults/kids are having these feelings for the first time in their lives, and since it’s so new it’s also overwhelming and scary. Its not fair to look at children’s feelings from the perspective of an adult and criticize, but rather to use that adult perspective to reassure and empathize. I’m not saying this as a cr…

Again, it’s projection. I was always struck by my male friends and bf’s friends how they *never missed an opportunity to talk shiiit about eachother behind their backs. There was always some drama going on and the only reason the “boys make up quickly” thing was true is because they didn’t actually care about each other in the first place, they were all friends of convenience for working out or drinking or gaming together.

Unfortunately this is already pretty common in some men.. my Japanese friend is married to a pornsick white man who is obsessed with anime, and she worries all the time that she’s “too old” for him (he’s 10 years older) and constantly dresses and talks like a teenager in this fake high-pitched voice. He sought out someone who was suffering and sick, then reinforced her illness through his sexual desires. He said himself that he knew she wouldn’t eat what was offered, so why did he offer food rather than counseling or medical help? To assuage his guilt for sure, but I bet he got off on her refusal as well.

You’re completely right, it’s very patronizing. It’s so pervasive that we don’t even think twice about commenting on a woman’s looks, no matter how old, young, accomplished, impoverished, sad, happy, angry etc she is. It’s a derailment. Imagine if men were treated the same way? Everyone would be disgusted. Sure, MLK had a dream… but wasn’t that suit a bit last season?

The women I most look up to are/were by-in-large not conventionally attractive, women that changed the world for that sake of generations to come, women whose actions defined the way I see myself and interact with the world around me, women whose words I still use to create my own story. There’s beautiful, but then there’s also powerful, and they’re not always interchangeable though the patriarchy tries it’s damnedest to make us believe it.
