The only place I have heard is good for asthma is Arizona. Seattle=shithole. I think when men hit a certain point in life and are struggling financially with job etc. They hit the eject button. The grass looks greener type situation.

Hang in there buddy. A lot of us have been there and we are still in pain and disbelief of what happened. I was listening to a story on the radio yesterday and it talked about a couple being married 50 years. It stung that I will never know this and it makes me feel like a failure.

Forget most of your old friends. Make new ones. The ones that I used to call my friends never call anymore. They are afraid your divorce mojo will rub off on them. When your old friends hit the D wall they will come back. Learn to cook.

I too am worried about this. There is a woman at a different office that is close to my age. Hot and with a grandkid but I am scared to ask her out. Super nice too but if she says no will it become awkward? Also worried about the rebound.

If the ex was on the end she was cropped out. If she was between our 2 boys she is still there.

I hear you bro. Let me ask you a question. Do you feel that all the good memories of your married life now shit? That’s the way I feel. The best part of my life was the 23 years I was with my Ex. But now they are bitter due to the fact that she rejected me. Sorry if I took your thunder but we are all in this together.

My EX’s family isn’t that big but we did stuff together like what you said. I moved to be with her as well. I am an only child Father passed mother in a home with dementia, I haven’t told mom about the divorce. She wants to come home and be part of the family and church again. It’s all gone. Life sucks.

Yup. I was there this year as well. Don’t remember doing anything special. The courts dragged it out longer. It was my 23rd.

He is long winded. If he would cut his videos to 10-12 minutes I would watch them all. I get bored and zone out on his stuff. I might try the other guy mentioned above. I am not ready to date. But am very lonely and have needs. Ironic part is my state has made solicitation a felony even for the first time offence and our state song is about a half black prostitute.

Yep. My divorce was final last Friday. I am a sub at work. I went in to work today because I was scheduled, but the regular was there so I was sent home. Not having anyone sucks.

If your kids are adults, hopefully they have enough sense to know mom is the problem not you. I wouldn’t worry about family functions. Tell her this quote from Gone With the Wind “frankly Scarlet, I don’t give a damn.”

I kind of wish my wife was a cheater as it would make this easier. It would be so easy to hate her. Not where I am that I let the best part of me get away.

I asked due to feeling this way too. I must admit this evening for me was better. I mowed my yard, made a nice meal, drank beer and bloody Mary’s, talked to my oldest son (20 year old)on the phone, and smoked a nice cigar. I guess take it one day at a time. I hope we both have better days coming and you’re not alone. Many of us seem to have the same feelings. Stick in there buddy.

Do you feel like suicide is inevitable? Not today, not tomorrow but at some point?

I was having chest pain went to the Dr. While the nurse was hooking me up to the EKG I realized this is the most a woman has touched me in months. The PA said my chest pain was most likely from stress.

My STBXW said I hope we are friends afterwards. I told her it doesn’t work that way. If it wasn’t for a few things (kids, mom, housing, getting my foot in at job)I would move away.

LOL. That explains the Grogu snacks at the store. Turn it into a drinking game. Every time anyone says “it is the way” take a shot.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you on “what’s the worst she can say No?” There are a lot worse things she could say up to and including yes. Only to rip his heart out all over again. I know we all say the never again part. But I will never let anyone else hurt me like that again, especially my STBXW. My divorce will be final in about 10 days. My 23rd wedding anniversary is this Friday. Then I have to see all my ex in-laws a week from Friday for a graduation for my youngest Son. Not loo…

I wouldn’t get her anything or even wish her happy birthday. She made the choice, she now has to pay the consequences.

That sucks. Should still be in the honeymoon stage. Of course there are lots of fights in the first year. Genuinely followed by makeup sex. If she truly wants out you maybe dodging a bullet of long term misery. I’m in the midst of a 25 year relationship almost 23 year marriage divorce. Take care of yourself.

I always put my wife on the highest shelf and thought she was the best in the world. When she rejected me, she killed something inside of me that I don’t know that I will ever feel that way towards anyone again even her.

Married almost 23 years. I am an only child. Father diseased mother in nursing home for dementia. They were my family. After separation never got a phone call to see how I was doing. BTW it wasn’t good. Now divorce will be final next month more of nothing. Her grandma did accidentally call me thinking I was someone else. Our two boys are 18 and 20. They are busy trying to get their stuff together. Basically I am all alone.

Once divorce is final. It’s being sold and the money is going to be used for a trip.

Short answer No. ( The only exception is my two boys ) I loved my wife. She was my best friend. We had some great times together but when she told me after almost 23 years married she wanted a divorce. It took all the good times and turned them into bad memories because that person no longer wanted me. She said I hope we can still be friends. I told her it doesn’t work that way.

I’m right there with ya brother. Divorce will be final 5/25/26. 23rd anniversary will be the Friday before. I’m still in the wilderness too.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
