I can relate. I sacrificed everything for my wife and daughter. I thought giving them the life I never had would be enough. It wasn't. I been out about 4 months. Was very fortunate to end up the way I have. Been dating successfully, but I find myself wishing the other women where her. Your not alone....just work on yourself. I hit the gym 4 times a week and stay busy to try to pass the time. I hope some day I won't look at it like that, I hope the same for you.

I felt the same way, bottom line in my situation. We were not communicating in the same way. It sucks, I see my faults looking back. I wish I would have been better. I'm sure we all feel that way to some degree. You can't go back. There is a high price for self awareness.

Same for me. This is the truth. This is the way.

Still going through it, I regret not being self aware to try and address it sooner. We had a good 17 year run, it went up in flames so quick. I think she will regret it in time, we will see.

This hit nail on the head, you took the words out of my mouth. We made it 17 years, except I'm still holding on. Don't ever forget to always show, tell, and demonstrate to her. She is the one person you can't live without! Don't go through the motions.

I was out of shape, to career focused, granted she was not working. We both had Narasitic Tendency. We did not communicate well for the last 6 months. She had a new friend group and hobby that I was jealous of, I tried to relate, but it was to late by the time I realized what was happening. It was both are faults l, I still feel it was more her than me, and she admitted that what she was doing was selfish, but it was to late. I think I could forgive her and start over, but she does not feel that…

She mentioned it a few time before the Big D. We talked, though we were good, but it was a very busy stressful time for us. I wish we would have went when it was first brought up. It was bad timing, which is the worst excuse to use. But she just started back to work, and I was trying to get promoted. Which, i got, but turned down because i did want the responsibility because of my devorce. When we finally did go, we chose faith based with a couple of nuts. It went horribly, she did one session b…

I know it's thought, we all know what your feeling. It's good to look into yourself and see wear you might be at fault. But you can't stay there. Talk to someone, get help, work through the issues. This sucks, you can't change it, I know you want to, I want too, but you can't. All you can do is build yourself into person she thought you were, or maybe the person you forgot you were.

If I could go back I woukd change so much. However, that is a fools errand. If you have a chance to build something better. I would, I feel most people regret devorce....

Have you guys gone to couples counseling? Maybe try to address the alcohol issues, if there is one? It may be to late, I know infidelity is hard to forgive. I hate to see another marriage fail if there is hope for saving it. But then again, I'm a hopeless romantic that got to busy trying to give my wife what I thought she wanted unstead of what she needed..

I would say leave her be and wait until your are older and find someone with the same life goals, adleast 30. I married my college sweetheart, we started dating when she was 20 and I was 22. We married when I turned 25. We are now divorcing, 17 years gone. We stoped communicating well and she feel out of love because I was working to much to support her while she was not working, stay at home mom. She said I chose work over her, but I kind of had too in someways. I needed to set boundaries and I…

This is great! I been doing this now, making a list of everything I should of done and realizing my short comings. The biggest problem I have with her is her lack of empthy and understanding. I forgave a lot in are marriage, and things got rocky for 4 months and she jumps ship. I'm trying to stay out of the regret cycle but it is hard. I made a lot of big deals out of really nothing because of not understanding my own emotions and weaknesses. We live and learn, sucks that it cost so much.

It kind feels that way, I know I made mistakes. I was just tired of dealing with it and frustrated. I should have explained my feelings better. But, I didn't. It may not have made a difference. But I will never know. Good luck man. I appreciate you sharing. I'm always here to talk.

Thank you, I just did so much for her, 3 degrees, stay at home mom, and funding a spending happit. The last year was thought because I was trying to get promoted. I thought we were on the same page and she left.

Stay strong man, I really feel responsible for my devorce. I was jealous of my wife's new friend group and the amount of time it was taking from the family. Really wish I would have inbraced it more. Now we are 3 months into our devorce and I find it hard to get out of bed every day. I don't know if it will get easier, Just know you are not alone. Stay strong.

Thanks for your feedback. Her dad is Bipolar, I have thought this as well. I am at the end my rope. I'm just so tried and have a ton of regrets, I wish I just would have shut up about the kpop thing and waited it out. I just got jealous.....something I am going to have to work on going forward.

I appreciate your honesty, and I am asking for brutal honesty. I do miss my family and want what we had, We built a life a lot would like to have. I'm not saying I'm right for feeling like this. But it's how I feel, and I'm tried of being the one who is always doing what is right is all. Again, I appreciate your honesty and calling me out.
