| -5 | Am I The Odd Divorced Dad?I've seen two divorced moms become awesome single parents. Top notch with zero compromises. Both dads were 1000 miles away and gave up their parental rights entirely as long as they still got the child support credit of coparenting. There are some pros there. No fighting, no battles, no late pickups, no plane flights, etc etc etc. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/07/26 12:42 AM |
Self Representing Divorce case using AI..Anyone??Eeeech. No. While AI has indeed passed the bar, it does worse as the context grows. The deeper the dive, the more subtle the hallucinations. I would definitely use AI to sanity check everything along the way. An extra set of digital eyes never hurts. AI knows a lot about the process. AI does well at finding needles in a haystack or giving low depth advice. But I'd never trust it in a domain that I don't understand myself or for a super deep dive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/07/26 08:35 PM

What was dating like after being divorced?Finding ways to connect is the biggest hurdle. Online dating's heyday has come and gone. Once upon a time, it was a niche introvert playground full of lonely people honestly looking for a best friend. Now it's a new scene with a lot of glamorous extroverts riding camels (25%), damaged people (150%), crazy people (another 50%), bread crumbing people (10%), good honest dates (10%), insecure people (110%), plus the girl of your dreams (.000001%). It's worse odds than DLC mystery crates. I've tried … | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/26 12:51 AM
Her birthday is coming up - first since separationIf you want to set a "we have a child together and should be civil" precedence, a card, nothing more. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/05/26 10:38 PM
How old is everyone?50+. I've heard "divorce over 50 is financial suicide" quite a bit. And I'd say that's pretty on point. I got lucky tho. No alimony. No child support. My ex was a net negative. She cost more than she earned. So divorce worked in my favor. (1) It was a retirement wake up call for me. I'm maxing out contributions trying to get myself into better shape financially. (2) No more albatross. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/25 09:52 PM
Honest is it your fault? It's a dynamic. It's both our fault for not coming up with a workable marriage. No cheating. We broke over choice of house, choice of school for our kids, her stonewalling, and the eventual costs of all those bad decisions. She made 50k. I made 250k. I was by far the more complete person. And I felt like I chased around her cleaning up her messes. She didn't even recognize the problems. I was the clean up crew so it was my issue. She came home with starbucks for the fifth time in the same day. S… | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/25 01:42 PM
How long did you get over?Marriage lasted 23 years. Divorce was horrible. It took two years. Once I had the judgment, it took 0.0000000000 seconds for me to get over it. (Category 2 fer sher) | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/25 06:27 PM
Want to know how the majority of women, at least on Reddit, think about us?Yeah. Luckily, the real world and reddit don't align much at all. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/08/25 01:12 AM
Is it normal for a mother to drop her responsabilitiesMine joined the Man Hating Morning Drinking Club. And while she was hating, I was providing 100% for my kids. Not sure if it's common tho. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/25 03:35 PM
