Abuse abuse

I'm a child of the 70s / 80s. Back then, abuse was defined as assaulting a woman either physically or sexually. Someone either hit a woman or sexually abused a woman or did not. It was a sharp cliff deciding which. The penalty was harsh in many communities. Assaults on women are universally despised of course. No one defends it.

Emotional abuse was making inroads into legitimizing itself. But the concept was largely mocked at the time. It had a progressive feel.

Today there are the new breeds of abuse. Newly minted. Or recently minted. Financial abuse. Verbal abuse. Technological abuse (controlling social media presence, just looked that up), and a few fringe abuses like Religious abuse and Immigration abuse (manipulating a green card wife).

So whatever. I mean, I acknowledge all of this happens. But it's become a spectrum of watered down gripes. It adds up to "people are mean." It's a net zero on who's harmed.

I call it whining. And it's a horrible thing to say! That's Diminutive Abuse, Disenfranchising Abuse, and Pleasantries Abuse all at once.

Interestingly, all these abuses are heavily definition biased towards male-on-female abuse. HMMMMM. How'd that happen?

Maybe we should consider ALL the abuses. I suffered from 23 years of Effort abuse. And I was also Kidnap Abused. She threatened to take away my kids! I would never see them again she said! She would LIE to do this. And then there is Physical abuse. Female-on-male physical abuse. There is Denial abuse. Women can manipulate by denying sex. This EXPLICITLY leverages BIOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN. Men are prewired to like sex. Men keep women down with tampon jokes? Yeah, well, ... , women keep men down with Blueball abuse.

So, I mean, if it's not obvious, I suck at being funny. But I think there is a basic truth under all this. The 70s/80s definition of abuse is truer. All the designer brands of abuse were designed for control. And that's Abuse abuse.

I'm going to risk Foul Language Abuse. Most of the new breeds of abuse are absolute bullshit.
