BUNS 1 cup lukewarm water 2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature 1 large egg 3 1/2 cups Bread Flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 1/4 teaspoons salt 1 tablespoon instant yeast I put it all in the bread machine on dough setting. Once it’s mixed, I cut it into bun shapes and let it rise an hour. Then I bake them at 350 for 15 min. It’s simple but it really takes a burger to the next level. My husband’s been into making stuffed burgers so it’s been nice to have something homemade to compliment. Crackers are e…

I started making homemade hamburger buns. My husband gets so excited when I make them and he’s been getting creative with making burgers. It’s nice because we rarely grilled and now the homemade buns have given us a reason. They’re delicious and something people don’t think about making themselves. I’m starting to make other things people don’t make at home often such as crackers. He was put on a high carb diet so this is helping him eat more.

We have 3 homes in Florida, 1 in Maine, 1 in Ohio, and 2 in Germany. We prefer to stay in the Keys, summer for a few months in Maine, visit family in Ohio for extended periods, and a lot of my husband’s business partners are around Berlin (but we love the Forest region as well). We have never spent a married night apart which was one of the things in our prenup he put in. If it was up to us, we’d be in the houseboat in the Keys all the time :) I’ve found people are scared to discuss money and I’…

I wanted a prenup. I worked as a divorce mediator while in uni and I was amazed at the things that come up. I married a younger man who made a lot more money then I did and I wanted to make sure we agreed on things like paying for private school for the children and ensuring that I would get certain assets if we divorced to take care of the kids as we both didn’t want me working till they were 6 (though we’re both at home now). Remember, a marriage is a financial agreement along with a love one.…

I wear mine 24/7. I don’t really think about it. If I take it off there is an indent. My husband takes his off to shower but otherwise it’s on. We know we’re married without them but it’s a habit. My grandma wore hers till the day she died. It was platinum with bits of diamonds for each year and it looked like a flapper ring because of course, she was one. In the end it had worn through completely.

I'm self taught through Udemy, Dev Sloops, and YouTube courses. I spent probably 3 grand on education. Both my husband and I get head hunted a ton (him more). Currently Swift and iOS is what is cited which is pretty easy. You can play Swift Playgrounds which is designed for children to learn. Get into the "boring" back end development which is what I do with server side. Very few people know it and for some reason it's a lot like giving a person directions (go left at the red house, drive till y…

I'm an at home systems admin for a U.K. Company. I learned it all to become a stay at home mom. Prior to this I was a freelance writer. My husband is a machine learning and AI developer who works from home as well. He is very in demand (I'm so proud) and even though we fly to different places around the globe every month or so with him giving talks or working with teams, I can easily always go and work from there. We do this with our primary goal of having children and being able to be at home w…

I'm a housewife and I'm thankful everyday that we made that choice. Your wife is lucky (as am I). People seem to prioritize themselves instead of their children. Children need the nurturing full attention of a parent. It's selfish to put yourself before their needs if you are able to live on one income.

Where do you get vintage slips for your height? I'm a 6 ft gal and I'd love to find some.

I used to only date men over 6 ft as I am almost 6 ft myself and I love to dance. I am happily married to a man that is 5'9. I admit it took some time but I honestly didn't notice after the first date. He is now in a wheelchair so I obviously tower over him in most situations. We still dance together and most of the time I sit on his lap while he spins. Sometimes life gives you the unplanned as a couple but that doesn't mean you don't deserve to dance. Height is something that used to be a deal …

I so wish I could get this through to certain women. I like my choice to stay at home and it's every bit as valid as their careers. My husband bought me a sign that says "Name's Office" and hung it in the kitchen. It was partly a joke and partly truth. That is my "office" and where I spend the majority of the day. I see the sign as his respect that we are on equal footing where my role is just as important as his for the good of the family just in a different way. Two feminist female relatives t…

Not burning out is hard especially the first two weeks of the month as that's when my clients send what they need. Every day of the week has it's own schedule with work and household. My husband works from home but he works 12 hour days so I am the only one that does housework during the week. Monday I plan my writing times, grocery shop, etc. Tuesday is my appointment day, laundry day, etc. I have a set time to wake so I can meditate and run. I always wrote on the side but in both of those professions there is a lot of writing. I've basically always been a marathon writer. I started on oDesk. TL:DR a little bit about being a freelance writer I'm a writer who does reviews, content writing, sales copy, and e-books. I've been doing this for 5-6 years now and have a steady client basis. I started on e-lance/o-desk and took my clients off of there so I didn't pay the site percentages. I write whatever the client wants. I've written cookbooks, blogs for "pro" bloggers, different ghost projects, etc. I make 1-3 grand extra a month (it varies so much because of project flow.) I work about 20…

Look into crock pot recipes. You won't have to touch it then and just flip it into the pot. Quickly cover it in sauce. You can use frozen chicken breasts, put sauce on it, set it, and make the sides/grains for both of you. Just switch the sauce for a different meal. For example shredded BBQ chicken: 1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, 1/2 Italian dressing, 1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar. Whisk it together. Dump a bag of frozen breasts into crockpot and dump the sauce over. Set for 5 hours on high. For cheesy salsa ch…

I use loose tea. I measures it this morning for you. My tea ball is 1/16th of a cup. I like to mix it with loose raspberry tea. My favorite spearmint is from Adagio. I make a gallon of it. I boil my water and let it soak while I go for my run. When I get back, I put it in the fridge. I drink it unsweetened and cold throughout the day. We finish up the rest of the tea when we play cards at night after dinner as it settles your stomach.

Not at the age where the conversation would happen. My grandmother basically explained to me about orgasms at 14. Her theory was that a teenage girl is an angry, hormonal creature that needs a release. She didn't come out and explain how to do things, it was one of those "knitting conversations" where she would knit and not look me in the eye. My aunt told me about kegels around the same age. Bought me a pair and explained to me exercises with them at about 15-16. My mother however never talks a…

I might sound a little preachy here but I truly believe in daily orgasms. It helps you reach orgasms faster with your partner, helps develop the muscles down there which helps with cramps and labor pains, trains your body for multiple orgasms, keeps you emotionally even and unstressed, and you are able to experiment with many different types of orgasms (U spot, internal, external, etc). When going through menopause my grandmother swore it got her hot flashes over faster because she was able to g…

I just kind of fell into it naturally with my husband. He's a powerful person both professionally and personally. He didn't suggest it either. I just felt more natural this way. We had a vanilla relationship for 3 years that evolved into a Dom/Sub style relationship. At times it is hard just because of schedules, travel, babies, and other stresses. You have to make the time. However, if you set it aside for a specific day or place, it's a fun time leading up to it. We sext throughout the day or so leading in, buy or arrange new props, and just generally look forward to it like a vacation. When I was your age I hated my height! I hated being the tall, skinny girl (I'm 6 ft). You are at an age where standing out feels awkward but when you get older, your height will help you command a room just by your presence. Add a bit of charisma and charm and it makes it easy for you to be remembered. You can be quite feminine still. Femininity is in small things, walking with grace, wearing a smile, maintaining pleasant conversation. Beauty is about looks yes but it is about your presence and…

Not the OP but I also suggest slips in addition to nightdresses. I've bought them off the rack at many stores. They're simple, silky, and always have lace. I met my husband online. We were lucky that sparks happened and truthfully, we both evolved into a more traditional relationship together. I was the one who was the driving force to change as being submissive truly is who I am. We make a date of it during the week. Weekends are special but sometimes on a Wed or Thurs a little push is needed. I'm actually not kidding. I cook his favorite dinner, get a bottle of wine, and we both dress nicely. Sometimes he puts on his tux and I put on a gown and we practice our table manners like we are at a dinner party. I want to add in your financial thinking for your marriage to have a budget meeting weekly or at least monthly. My husband makes and manages our money in joint checking accounts (we deal with more then one currency/bank). Having a meeting every week helps us plan for big purchases, keeps our spending in check, and let's us figure out if we need to pull money from one budget to another to stay in line with the total budget. I love small weddings! It's makes everyone that's included feel special. We eloped at "our" lighthouse with no one present but the minister and his wife. It was perfect even though it was on Lake Erie in January. No one knew. We called family after and several were upset. I've never regretted not having my mother or his family there. I'm not sure if you like camping but some of our best memories are camping! It's cheap, you can travel and see great places, and it's always fun to snuggle by the fire. Old men like questions asked. They want you to be impressed. Obviously, they have worked for/with my husband but when you're talking about a whole room of people I don't remember them. They want you to ask. This is different from others who already come with questions that they want answered. They have earned the right to be respected "more" or "differently" then the other men through work and age. These are major CEOs, investment bankers, politicians, etc. so I treat them differently. I do this all the time. I've messed up etiquette all over the world (oh lord--what I did in France!). Through it all, I've been able to be a good reflector to my husband. Dress in comfortable shoes. Made the mistake of wearing high high heels once. I am almost 6 ft tall so if you're tall, no heels. It can intimidate men. When he talks, look at him adoringly. Don't over talk him either. Confidence is always attractive. Perhaps you dressing differently is signaling that you are comfortable with being modest. It takes a lot more confidence to not show everything then to have it all on display. I think that it helps signal that you are more feminine and delicate. As an older the you woman, your expiration date is mental. Yes he'll look at younger woman but that's what keeps you on your toes sexually. The same goes for any travel experiences or anything. It's all the way you approach him. Sex and the relationship grows. You 'tune in' to one another (when you do it properly). Don't worry. Worry leads to stressing which easily turns to nagging. That's actually an interesting perspective. I have seen my friends lose themselves in motherhood. While I haven't had one yet, I'm sure that an infant could be intoxicating for a woman. It should change a lot in your life--not however, everything. I think that's it's more an extension of our worshipful view on modern childhood. We spend our lives giving everything to children and giving them the best experiences instead of letting them learn by watching us. I think a lot of people try to make up…

On that note, the French also tend to raise children that aren't obese and eat real food (not beige food like chicken fingers, fries etc). I really want to read more about their child raising methods or any country's with less obnoxious children then what's around me.

That book made me cry a lot :( It was a beautiful book though.

That actually sounds quite lovely. I'm trying to learn French. We're moving to Toronto this spring/summer and though we're easily NAFTAing in, the more I get French the better. Kind of worried about big city life not melting with my views but oh well, that'll be a new adventure! Thank you for your suggestion!

Amazon keeps recommending The Power of Habit so I guess that'll be next for me :) Thank you for your suggestions!

I just started lifting and it has changed my life. I can't believe how I've been able to sculpt myself. Seriously, if any ladies have ever thought about lifting, do it. It improves everything in your life.

He's been working really hard this year so he surprised me with a trip to Florida for next week. We're staying in a bed & breakfast. I bought a teddy and new bedroom heels (different the normal heels as they are bed ready). We don't do presents for anything. We believe in giving each other experiences instead. He's giving me Florida and I'm giving him anything he wants from me :).

Usually, I'd say that the age difference would be an issue. However, I'm 34/f with a 28/m husband. It did freak me out when I started dating him when he was 23. I thought it would be temporary however we are going quite strong and it hasn't been an issue for us. He had only one LTR prior to me as did I but my LTR was 8 yrs. To be honest, it was a bit frustrating figuring out communication styles I think because of our different pasts. Both partners have to be willing to work at it but that is an…

I don't know. He's very weak. Maybe that's why she married him.

Wow...that's my sister's failing marriage. She admits to anyone that'll listen that she isn't attracted to her husband and even had an affair that she willingly gave sex to. Not having sex truly effects the children. They know you're not happy. Took a failed relationship for me to learn that sex is important. My sister makes fun of me when I tell her "full belly, empty balls" is the secret to a stress free marriage but it's true. My husband and I can't wait to rip each other's clothes off at nig…

Wow. I just started lurking here and though my husband is dominant (we're not 24/7 yet), those are really great suggestions that are so subtle and would bring us closer. I'm trying some of that tonight, thank you!
