Wedding Rings

I wear mine 24/7. I don’t really think about it. If I take it off there is an indent. My husband takes his off to shower but otherwise it’s on. We know we’re married without them but it’s a habit.

My grandma wore hers till the day she died. It was platinum with bits of diamonds for each year and it looked like a flapper ring because of course, she was one. In the end it had worn through completely.

My husband and I have matching gold plated steel bands. They cost $14 shipped from Amazon.

I had a lovely sapphire ring set in yellow gold that was nearly 100 years old, and the one day I wore it to work, I took it off and put it in my scrubs, and then returned them at the end of the day with the ring in it, and never saw it again. But that was quite literally the only time I wore it to work, and I didn't really wear it at home.

I had his ring custom made by a local artist, and it's beautiful, but he never wore his either because of hazards at work, and he dented it somehow. So, now we have these rings that we can beat up, and we try to remeber to wear them when we go out, go see family, work events, ect. Plus, because it's a plain band, it fits well and I stop noticing it after a while.

I've always looked at a man's ring finger. My husband works in manual labor, but religiously wears his ring, switching between the gold band and the silicone work safe one. He sleeps in the gold one. He's a big, tough guy, who doesn't talk about his feelings, so I think it's the sweetest thing in the world, that it's so important to him.

Mine isn't as simple, so I only, but always, wear it when I leave the house. I like the reminder of the good man who loves me. Creepy men regularly hit on librarians, too, so it has more concrete perks, as well.

My husband does not. He’s not a jewelry guy and finds them dangerous (his uncle had a horrific injury due to his ring). He wore it for our wedding and through the honeymoon and as soon as we got home it went into the jewelry box. It’s never bothered me. My dad never wore one (maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me?)

I only wear my engagement ring and really only when I’m out. I tried the 2 rings on my ring finger and never liked it. It just felt like too much I guess. So I dropped the wedding band maybe 7 or 8 years ago. My engagement ring isn’t practical. It’s a 2.5 ct princess cut stone with a halo of smaller diamonds around it. It’s absolutely stunning but not practical for everyday use due to its size. So majority of the time when in home and using my hands I don’t have it on. I only put it on when I go out. And really the only reason I do that is because I’m with my son and don’t want to look like an unwed mother (kind of shallow, I know). I really don’t think I pay attention to other people though. I guess sometimes I’ll notice if a woman has a gorgeous ring that really stands out, or if a man has a ring on sometimes but only because it’s shiny and also standing out and hard to miss. But other than that I don’t pay much attention.

My husband and I both wore rings through our engagement and then stopped after the wedding. I’ve never been a jewelry person and I found it uncomfortable, I never forgot it was in my finger. It doesn’t bother us at all but other people seem to notice we don’t wear them.

I wear my ring most days. I've been taking them off around the house more often - usually because I'll take them off to wash dishes or something and then just leave them off. I do feel naked when I don't have it on outside of the house though - which will happen from time to time when I'm running late or simply forget to put them on. It's showing off a bit I guess, but I am proud to be his wife and I want others to know.

My husband has a ring that he made himself (he made one of my bands as well). He made it out of some crazy strong metal which turned out to have a reaction with his skin (it's turning the metal, not hurting his skin). Eventually I think he'll do something so he can go back to wearing it every day but now he just wears it when we're dressing up. I like when he wears it, it makes me happy. That said, it's not a huge deal and if he never wore it again, I'd get over it. There are certainly dangers so it's unreasonable (IMO) to be too upset by it.

I do notice rings on other men - probably because I do wish Husband wore his more often.

More, and I find it alluring, mostly due to the symbolism behind the wedding ring, and partially due to a superficial aesthetic point of view.

Newly married guy who is a mechanic by trade with a wife who also works with her hands. We wear ours every day. We wear those silicone bands that will break rather than remove or deglove our fingers. I havent worn my metal band since the wedding day, my wife wears hers more often.

We wear ours 24/7. As far as I can tell men don't notice rings on women, or they notice and don't care. I feel like I get the same amount of come-ons with or without them, but I think it would deeply bother DH if I didn't wear mine, and I feel the same way. I also like jewelry and my rings are my favorite pieces of jewelry, so it's not exactly a hardship, lol.

I will wear one but I don't expect my fiance to once we are married, for safety reasons. I notice if men wear rings.

I wear my engagement band and a wedding band. I’ve always wanted to wear the rings, but a diamond ring seemed so normal. So I have a unique piece with mystic topaz as the main gem (a chemical treatment to topaz to make it more colorful),with small aquamarine and amethyst gems near it, and they’re curvy bands. I love them.

My husband has a cool ring too. It has a muted purple and gold colored band around it. He wanted something unique too.

We do, however, take them off at night as I find it uncomfortable to wear in bed. I take it off to shower, and if I’m baking something that uses my hands a lot, like bread.

I don’t generally look to see if men have wedding bands. I may look if I’m curious (not because I want him of course, but I am still randomly curious sometimes), but I generally wouldn’t notice otherwise.

We wear them most of the time. I have my 'dress' wedding set which are gold an include my engagement ring, and then we both have silicone safe rings to wear when we work with our hands.

Husband wears his silicone one at all times due to an old knuckle injury.
