Maybe sex isn't that important as you're brainwashed to believe...?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:20 PM

My policy is to pursue material success (wealth) and physical appearance (health) and forget women entirely. These things are good for us men in and of themselves, regardless of whether women want them.

I would turn the question the other way: Why should you (as a male) let some womens' tastes get in the way of you being nice? IMO nice people generally have a better life. They get on better with colleagues, they have fewer conflicts, they're physically safer (remember men are more likely to be victims of violence). Also less angry people have better heart health and live longer. I would say be as nice as you can and don't care about women judging that.

We should help if there's no immediate threat to life. You never know when you might need someone's help in return. What if that woman was a nurse and you found yourself in hospital under her care?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 01:01 PM

No one is interested. That's why many of us gave up.

There is no attention given in the first place because we know how it will be taken!!!!

There is a metric shit tonne of gaslighting, it's so horrible. Thanks for your support.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 02:25 AM

Well first there need to be social venues for real cultural and skills learning with a range of age groups present and preferably some wise and competent mature men. No to dumb football games with loud shouty coaches who barely completed high school. Yes to group activities involving teaching, discussion and active participation and manipulating objects (physical or virtual). Youth should be in an environment kind of like a university, where they are free to explore topics at their own leisure f…

I don't know that all societies were what we would call "monogamous". I believe there were societies (such as some Indigenous groups) where: A) not all women would have children, B) not all men would reproduce, C) children were considered "of the tribe", not nuclear family with specific parents This kind of society is neither monogamous nor polygamous. Actually it doesn't easily fit western black & white / dichotomous thinking. I'm not trying to say Indigenous peoples were wiser in every way, bu…

Yeah or write a new rulebook. I mean who knows, maybe one day women will start to want us again, but on different terms, with a different playbook.

Because loser is about keen intelligence and a strong sense of what's going in around you. Did you mean write "is not about" ... etc?

What's so irritating about these scenes is that they were often encouraged and even pushed on us by our elders or those in authority. We were left to figure out on our own how the real dating dynamics work, without any kind of explanation or insight. This is so opposite of how young men are supposed to be treated. In most cultures, up to the recent past, men lived similar to how their fathers lived, and they were taught about social mores by their elders. There were even elaborate rituals to emp…

Singlehood is the future for men. By becoming good at being single now you are positioning yourself ahead of the rest. It is inevitable that as social norms progress and gender becomes increasingly decoupled from reproduction, women will continue to define themselves increasingly independently of men. In future even the most elite, powerful, attractive men will be ignored and shunned, as women become so wealthy, independent and self-loving that the mere sight of a man induces immediate disgust a…

Jobs are different from women. There is very large demand for workers, with unemployment rates in the low single-digit percentages. The same cannot be said for womens' demand for male partners. One can be in shape, well dressed, have a good job and live in an area with many women and still not have any success for a number of compounding reasons including: Womens' high standards for height Womens' willingness to share a male partner rather than be monogamous Womens' extreme aversion to any kind …

This is why many of us are opting out of women, it's a pointless competition most of us are bound to lose.

How do you know that? Do you have any evidence that men are anywhere near as picky as women, both online and in person?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 12:49 PM

It does because it assumes many negative things about men in general. Whereas if it was tailored to a particular man, e.g. the OP, then it would only be assuming negative things about that one person, not about the whole gender.

Even assuming dating didn't run the risk of "sexual assault" accusations, etc, there are few or no good environments in modern times for meeting women anyway. Most environments where any such meetings could have taken place have long ago been made illegal for those kinds of interactions (e.g. workplaces) and the rest (nightclubs, etc) have an extreme bias toward large, attractive, energetic, loud, risk-taking types of men who women find attractive for casual liaisons. This fact in itself (lack o…

To even consider for a moment "how men might feel" about anything is avoided like the plague and any man who brings it up will be immediately accused of bigotry, patriarchy, misogyny, selfishness, etc.

Agree with you. Modern narrative given to women: Ignore what men want or find attractive, it isn't relevant. Pursue whatever you want. You are immune from moral or ethical judgement. As a woman representing womens' empowerment, anything goes (as long as it doesn't harm other women). Modern narrative given to men: you are worthless and useless, society doesn't need you, it's a wonder we even let you live, your goal in life is to be as acceptable, pleasing and pandering as possible to every woman …

IMO a lot of women pursue relationships in a careerist manner, similar to how men pursue a job. But IMO real love (which can include friendship, not just romantic) is enjoyment of the other person simply as such. There is no sense of "progression" or needing something in exchange, as with career/income. For example I sometimes say Hi to my neighbour or just enjoy seeing them around. I have no expectation from them and there is no particular quality I like in them. I just enjoy the fact that they…

European/Western culture prioritising nuclear family and decentralised society. Similar story with Chinese/Confucian culture, but in that case, extended family, ancestor worship and more centralised society. It was related to mass agriculture. Europe - wheat, China - rice. These societies were good at producing large populations but that doesn't mean they were superior in every way.

Spreading the word on Reddit etc. start small, it can grow into a major trend.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 02:13 AM

Womens' sexual market strategies only involve the top 1% of men, so wouldn't women actually prefer that the other 99% don't bother them?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 01:45 AM

A lot of big ideas start out from just a few people or even one person.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 01:44 AM

Aren't women always complaining about desperate men making unwanted advances to them? Making single trendy might help eliminate that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 01:43 AM

I sure hope you're right!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 04:54 PM

No it's not because they're "weird", there are specific things they lack: Popularity within the womans' pre-existing social network Height and good looks Social status Calling them "weird" would imply that they are significantly different from average, but actually, based on the above measures, they can be fairly average.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 03:32 PM

Their partners. Look up intimate partner violence / domestic violence statistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 03:30 PM

women want attractive and desirable men, who have a lot of options, to get into monogamous relationships. Do women really want relationships though? It seems like a lot of women are happier single. Also if most men are unattractive for unalterable genetic reasons – and if most women know this – then women should prefer that those unattractive men don't pursue them. So it seems to me to be in womens' interest that single unattractive men should be happy to be single.

How about human beings should offer general respect to each other? I was fine with that until every corporate and media outlet started blasting in unison "female empowerment" and "women in leadership" and "girl boss" and blah blah blah Women started the 2010-2020s gender wars. Even the way men disparage each other by comparing them to women or women's reproductive bits. ("Don't be a girl/bitch/pussy." "Grow some balls." Agree. There are "social skills" and there are "social skills". One thing social skills are surely not is a specific narrow set of prescribed and predictable behaviours. Saying exactly the right things to the right people isn't necessarily socially competent. In some groups it could be considered "acting like a doormat" or "fake". Saying things that some people dislike but that influence them nonetheless and that win you passionate supporters can be a type of social competence, one where a man's…

I agree, but saying "women should respect men" gets a lot of backlash from women these days. We're apparently all monsters.

„Well men, we don’t want anything to do with you … now go and be happy about that? Yeah pretty much. I mean women apparently didn't have any trouble with the following: Well men, we don't want your children, we're voting for abortion Well men, we don't want your attention, we're going to have you locked up for "harassment" whenever you express your sexuality without specifically-worded consent Well men, we don't want you to take masculine pride in your work, so we're going to force you to hire s…

It's not most womens' choice but it's also not most mens' fault. Men are better suited for many jobs because those jobs require masculinity and many women are too feminine in the way they carry themselves, their mental attitude to hard work, etc. Now it's fine if women want to become more masculine and enter male fields, but that's not like some switch that they can easily flip. It would take some time and effort. I'm happy to support women in this transition, but let's be honest, they will prob…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 01:12 PM

I don't care about "most women", what I care about is the popular narratives that predispose how people perceive me. I would like to be perceived as "acceptable" not as some kind of weird or dangerous misfit just because of my relationship situation.

For women "hoe phase" is like what "turning the light switch on or off" is for men....
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:58 PM

We can all be gentlemen, not just a tiny corrupt elite.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:56 PM

I agree up until about the last 30 years, after modern feminism the narrative has really changed. Women are now considered more valuable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:55 PM

Well I agree with "self improve", so a big part of that is letting go of the feeling of "needing" a woman - any woman. They need to focus on building their human capital and wealth and managing their mental health through meditation, etc. I see precious little encouragement of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:54 PM

Those former Tzar wastelands are hardly a model for "civilisation". In fact that will be the future of the West if we don't integrate new populations. The big lie: we are different. Elites use it to control and divide us. By buying into ethnocentrism/essentialism you only support the woke "manufactured opposition" which will destroy the west if left unchecked. Big truth: we are all the same. Anyone can be Chinese, anyone can be Indian. You just have to think different.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:48 PM

I mean in political discussions on Reddit and elsewhere I want to see more posts by women which are praising or at least supporting the idea that it's Ok for men to be single and that single men can be respectable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:46 PM

You feminist women have a strong shared narrative that binds you together across cultures, languages, seemingly even continents (look at all the Zoom calls during covid with armies of female academics all nodding their heads and agreeing that we need to inject everyone with the vaccine). Look I'm not saying it's a bad thing, humans be humans. Actually it's positive to have so much pro-sociality for at least half the species. But I do envy you, as a man, since I wish we had that kind of shared so…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:43 PM

Single Childless women aren't needed by anyone. Have you checked the date month and year? We're in the 2020s... women are literally the most valuable humans on the planet
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:39 PM

How do women want men to improve? Growing taller through will power? Voting democrat?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:38 PM

If women are going to reject men, those men can't help being single. So what are you going to do with them? Telling them hateful bigoted narratives about how inferior they are probably isn't going to be good for social cohesion................

/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:21 PM

Line goes up mentality. Just because the line goes up that doesn't mean it's inherently a good thing. Economics is there to serve the civilization. If it doesn't, then it's a bad thing. Indians I know are moving back to India, they find it has improved considerably.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:20 PM

Idgaf about caring. What one does is what matters. And those who choose to be childless refuse to contribute to the future of the civilization beyond their selfish self. You are full of racism. Civilisation is cultural not genetic. If you care about the future you should be staying single and helping us empower the next generations of SE Asias and Africans who also deserve human rights and high living standards!!! Sure, they should have this option (I'm not advocating for forced insemination or …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:19 PM

It's not hate. It's placing a higher concern for the well-being of my civilization over the well-being of hedonistic selfish people (because that's exactly what childless people are, overwhelmingly). Absolute bunk! We work harder and longer than you do – no stay at home wifey or government subsidies or over-leveraged mortgage to fall back on. You are the hedonists, ignorantly giving in to your desires to copulate. Then domineering and abusing your poor children, leaving them with years of trauma…

the bitter normie rejects I love seeing us re-appropriate the concept of "normie". Yes indeed! Actually we the majority are the "normie" men. The men who women crave are the minority actually. (Also... yes we start out bitter... but not so bitter once we make it to our 30s with some money and some freedom!)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 12:06 PM

More like just money, but now they can get that money without men, so they don't need anything from us.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:59 AM

Even when they have welfare and diversity hiring (which I'm not against BTW, but just saying, it exists) they still want men to feel guilty or weird for being single. But why shouldn't men be single in this state of affairs? It would only be fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:59 AM

Your "big picture" is classist, Eurocentric and misandrist.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:58 AM

It's sad how we humans collectively ostracised our greatest specimens...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:56 AM

I think you're overly generalising your experience with the Army and social networks around that. Ironically you make me want to join the military, since by how you word your reply, it tells me people are more classic "civil rights" oriented there which is more sane IMO. I think you are clueless specifically on how crazy both woke and alt-right have messed up the rest of the society outside the military...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:53 AM

Yes, it's so negative and hypocritical and two-faced!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:52 AM

Yes that's right. As investors we are funding the future while 40 yo with 3 kids is just consuming everything and not adding.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:51 AM

Yes if anything, we have a bigger stake in the future, since we can't hide behind children/wife. We are directly exposed to society.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:50 AM

Dude why the hate for single/childless people? Have you seen the statistics? This is an increasing segment of the population. Also absolute BS that we don't have a stake in the future. I know many people in this category who care a great deal about how the world around them is. Actually maybe they even care more than married/parents since they don't have immediate family to protect them after their parents die, so they need the society around them to be functional. Many of us are helping train t…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:49 AM

Wow I wish I could 10x upvote this. I don't totally agree with your points but man you bring up some interesting topics. I do agree that there is a lot of "boomer cultural hangover" in the West right now. It's almost suffocating...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:46 AM

Yes, and women have a powerful voice now, so they can hopefully spend 1% of that voice telling single men that it's Ok to be single. I don't see how that's not in womens' collective self interests.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:44 AM

Social "skills" as you naively put it isn't an individual thing. We are a social species. The reason you think some of us lack social skills is that actually we are socially ostracised, alienated and despised. We actually probably have better social skills than you do, but you just don't see that, because you're the popular prestigious ones right now...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:43 AM

Academics are fearful to speak the truth, for the threat of losing their tenure, prestige etc. But they know what's going on and some brave ones are stepping up. Prepare to see more papers like these.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:40 AM

They're treated as weird and "incels" and there's this whole trope about incel men being terrorists, even though only a tiny tiny tiny fraction, literally like 100 men or something, actually did anything violent. If you count the numbers of violent offences, it's more likely that partnered men are being violent than incel men!!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:38 AM

Women weren't everywhere and always oppressed. Look at Chinese female emperors and matriarchies in Africa and ancient South America. Also most men were oppressed, e.g. look at the feudal system in Europe.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:36 AM

Women seem pretty united everywhere I see/hear them. It seems to me like men are the ones who are being fragmented, outcompeted and abandoned in this cruel modern age.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:35 AM

I agree with this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:34 AM

Then you Americans need to fix your electoral system, this is the problem. You can't blame all your problems on "men" and "patriarchy"... which BTW is a tiny minority of elite men...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:33 AM

I don't think it was always victimhood but these days it feels like they went too far in that direction. Basically at this point they're free to persecute men in any way they wish and it's socially acceptable because "patriarchy". That seems unfair.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:30 AM

You sound like you had a different life experience than me. Ok maybe I need to join my country's military, maybe people are more sane there. Here's what I've experienced as a civilian: Corporate upper and senior management drivelling on for 5 minutes + on a Zoom call bragging about their wife and kids and how much purpose and meaning it gives them.... blah blah blah... so aggravating! Pop culture and presidents are relevant because women do most of the consuming and also much of the voting and g…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:28 AM

I really do get that vibe sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:23 AM

I'm not asking you to sort our problems (though of course it would be nice if you had even tiny concern about the other 50% of the population but anyway...) All I'm asking you is to stop making the social pressure to be partnered up, which some women certainly do, especially mature age women in a position of authority in the family.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:22 AM

Well it's kind of uncanny how fast women seem to make friends and network at college, family gatherings, etc. There is some kind of "female solidarity" that we men just don't have any equivalent of these days. (We did have it back in the 50s and earlier, I hope we can rekindle some of that.)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:20 AM

That's right. And I don't mind women having all that power, actually it's cool that we progressed this far as a society. But I'm just saying, women, please use your power for good, and don't actively hurt men with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:19 AM

I don't 100% know if they hate us, but I don't understand why they push this double-standard: Never approach women, or make eye contact, it's harrassment If you're a single man, you're a weird, creepy, misfit, incel, etc. and should occupy a lower social rank and be more heavily taxed Like really ... get your act together ladies! If you want men to leave you alone, then please state that loud, clear an unambiguously! I'm not asking for any special treat or handout... just not to be treated as so…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:18 AM

Women are in charge of massive media and marketing campaign and hold the consumer purse strings. Look I'm not totally against a women-led corporate oligarchy. All I'm asking for, as a single man, is not to be ridiculed and hated on. Not to be treated as a social pariah or outcast just because women chose to reject me. That's what this post is about. Is it so unfair?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:16 AM
1

That's right! But they are so prejudiced they can't even see past their prejudice!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:14 AM

Well since women are 50% of the US population and more likely to vote at all... It begs the question... Why wasn't Kamala Harris already US President 10 years ago?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:13 AM

Agree, and given the latest crop of "leaders" in the US, UK, etc I think we can safely say that those "vouched for" men (on both sides) are not necessarily higher quality!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:12 AM

Why would men pressure other men to partner up? What's the incentive? It would just make the dating market more competitive. Men have every incentive to support other men being single!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:11 AM

I bet it's mostly women who are voting these days, since the democratic system seems to favour them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:11 AM

I'm standing up for men right here in this post, so thanks for supporting my effort! :)

This post is me doing the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:09 AM

Yes, there's some truth to this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:09 AM

It's true the same people need to lay off women as well, I don't deny that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:09 AM
1

Does it make sense now?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:08 AM

Agree, it's very double-sided and hypocritical to attack men being single.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:07 AM

A lot of adult and mature women are treating single men as weird and popularising the culture where men are expected to be married. I'm not saying only women do this, some conservative male political figures do it. But at least women should pull their part of the weight. The reward for women making singleness acceptable is that they won't be bothered so much by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:06 AM

It's not men who are pressuring fellow men to partner up. It's older women, typically mothers, aunts and also some conservative popular figures. It would help a lot if feminist women of all age groups could consistently spread the message that women are not interested in men and that it's both acceptable and preferable for most men to be single.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:04 AM

Makes sense to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:03 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 11:00 AM

You can write that here behind an anonymous account but who knows how you really feel about men your real life? In real life my experience is women generally distrust and avoid men. I'm not judging women for this, it makes sense biologically/evolutionarily. But I just want women to acknowledge it collectively and then stop pressuring men in all kinds of ways to pursue. Just let men be alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 10:58 AM

Agree, and sometimes this means stepping back and not intervening!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 10:57 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 10:24 AM

Just stop pressuring men to partner up. Literally stop expending the effort! It's not fathers and uncles who are applying this pressure... I think women, especially older women, need to stop trying to control us!

Women generally don't like men at all. Even the more "attractive" men are really just used for their money, prestige or as an emotional tampon. Women don't respect men at all (I'm not saying women should respect men, but just stating that as a matter of fact). Don't waste your time improving for women - you're fighting a losing battle on that front. Invest time improving your quality of life - money, education, physical fitness, health. Those investments at least give you a return. Life is short…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 09:56 AM

No, we don't all need hugs and physical touch. I have gone years at a time without any of that, and those have been some of the happiest and best years of my life. We certainly don't need hugs and touch from women. Especially if those come with all sorts of dire pitfalls and dangers, e.g. losing half your money. We men can hug eachother. There's nothing strange about that. Watch movies from the 50s so-called "conservative" culture, men were constantly shaking hands and hugging eachother.

I am pro-divorce,but lets be honest you're not doing it for the kids , you're doing it for yourself Isn't there some statistics showing that women are happier single than partnered? Maybe it's not for the kids, maybe it's for the mum. Ever considered that? There are some exceptions for example when there is abuse going on Isn't there some statistic showing that 99.99% of men are abusers and pedofiles? Or do you only use those statistics when it's convenient for you? (E.g. when you feel like bash…

Hahahaha I feel you. But I think this is worth mentioning just so incels don't feel like such losers. Honestly sex is overrated, especially when the woman is using it for emotional and/or financial manipulation. If I had to choose I'd take money over sex anyday.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/24 04:39 AM
2

Also it's underreported how women mistreat the hookup men. We assume those men are "lucky", "fortunate", "privileged", etc. Actually as a man it's not nice to be used as a woman's sex slave and otherwise dehumanised. Then threatened with rape allegations, etc. if you dare stay a wrong word.

Case by case IMO. I can understand a single parent wanting an additional adult figure in the child's life than just them. But of course one has to be careful who one chooses for that role. What would be more ideal though, IMO, is for the child to be in a community of adults, where they could interact with a variety of personalities and absorb some kind of culture. Maybe (heaven forbid if it's not too much for leftist feminists to tolerate) they might even get to feel a little pride in their own …

Maybe less experience in a man is even better since the man is more fresh and open to the woman's uniqueness, carrying less preconceived notions or assumptions. (Just to show you I'm not biased, I'm very experienced, probably more than I really should be. So according to my argument, I'm less attractive.)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 11:03 AM

Being needy is weakness.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 08:23 AM
1

This "need" is socially constructed. In some Ancient indigenous cultures men didn't all have sex and even those who did were just used for sex by the women a few times so they could conceive and then rejoined the other men and lived otherwise normally. What we need is a more single-friendly society for both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 05:34 AM
2

Exactly, people seem to think that just because something was normal in the past it should be mandatory in the present. But we do not live in "normal" times. And anyway history is full of people changing their behaviour radically.

Very very true! It's heartbreaking to read of some women in relationships who feel lonely, due to lack of emotional intimacy or abuse of some kind. People can feel lonely even in a large group if they feel misunderstood or insignificant in that group. And many guys seem reluctant to socialise. I offered so many to join my Discord group for single guys and only a small % agreed. We are a small group and growing, but so many men are just avoiding it. True, and society also treats us that way. Replaceable anonymous cogs in a vast machine. There are advantages to being replaceable and anonymous. You have less responsibility and less threats in a way, and it's easier to live a "quiet" (low-drama) life. But this means that we men need to get together and form social groups where we are valued and are treated as unique individuals. Lol idk why humans always think they’re so much better than animals, especially chimps and bonobos. We’re all primates. When did I say "better"? Each animal has its nature. Humans being have human nature. We're not chimps. What makes us different is only our bigger brains and how far we’ve come with creating and using tools. Cultural evolution (The Secret of our Success by Joseph Henrich). Actually some primates are faster than us at certain specific activities, but what they lack is culturally …

Among primates though: https://gainweightjournal.com/insights-on-leadership-from-chimp-alpha-male-behavior/ Sorry I can't help but laugh 😂 We are using chimps as models for leadership???? Can you see how ridiculous this is on the face of it? If your "leadership skills" are to behave like a zoo animal then your followers are pathetic. Or (more likely) you're the one who's a big joke and your followers are just using you like a tool. Someone who pretends to act like a chimp to get lots of follower…

Winning doesn't make you "alpha". This idea of "alpha" is a social construct, IMO it's totally based on approval by others. Being "alpha" is actually the sh****tiest job since you're constantly scrambling to meet the fickle and stupid expectations of others and can lose it all in a moment. This is why many intelligent people such as Warren Buffet prefer to lie low and not care about being popular. They choose to be "zeta" because it's a nicer lifestyle. Also BTW wolf studies show that wolves don…

You are an exception, an abnormality and if I could choose to be like you I would. How do you know you can't be like me? Anyone can donate to charity, sponsor a child, etc. It's easier than ever to be a provider if that's what you want. But I question whether men need to be providers, I think the "provider" model is a caricature and oversimplification of human relations.

Those men who committed rape behaved like pigs. To say they "needed" that sex would be too forgiving of their misdeeds.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 01:59 PM

Agree. Not only do women not need men, they actively avoid men. And on mens' side, I think much of the "desperation" is just social pressure to have a female partner. Most men do not actually need a woman. Men are capable of getting their needs met without women (yes, including sex, there are such things as masturbation, porn and have been for centuries). Our society stressed us out by sending contradictory messages. Stoking gender wars while trying to force us together through social pressure. …

You have to be patient, self improvement that's worthwhile doesn't happen fast. Your desire for physical intimacy is all in your head, you can think otherwise. "Humans are social" yes but in all kinds of ways. E.g. this forum is a social experience. You're being social by writing this post. This is why we need to come together as men and build male-only communities. Women have been doing this since time immemorial. Elite men do this, it's called "the patriarchy". Ordinary middle class and lower class men don't do this enough. We all need to network, communicate and form social circles. If we support eachother, give eachother confidence boosts, share knowledge and tips, etc. then this will actually level the dating market, as fewer and fewer men pursue women out of desperation for v…

Thanks for sharing your story. I feel sad reading this thinking that hurt animals are being cared for by hurt people. Not because it's wrong, it's a wonderful thing that you do/did. I feel like women aren't attracted to men generally at all. Actually when I listen to how all-female groups talk about men I sometimes get the impression women are just plain scared of us. This is an oddly comforting thought if true, because it means that my feeling of unattractiveness to women isn't some fatal flaw in me, but a very common and ordinary part of the human experience. Of course I don't wish women to feel fear, I wish we lived in a world where they felt safe always. But the fact th…

This said, decenter romance from my life. Treating it as a (very) nice to have but not a must. Neediness is a turnoff in attractive men, let alone in the unattractive I hear this a lot from men and women. In itself I think it's true. However I wonder if it's possible to take it too far. The ultimate non-neediness in a man would manifest as, e.g. to never make eye contact, to never approach, to never ask them out, to never compliment their looks, to never initiate contact, etc. But this extreme s…

Kindness? Mate, not sure in what wonderland you live in but escorts are anything but kind. I found them very warm and friendly and kind. You should also learn to accept kindness from others. This is not as easy as it sounds – it involves some relaxing of the ego. You have to accept that you are in want of a favour, and thus, show a little vulnerability. The flip-side is accepting that you are worthy of a favour, which is a nice and constructive feeling. I admit that I'm on a journey to develop t…

Focus on getting money. Nice strategy! I've been doing the same. It sucks that some men will seem to be attractive and will make more money. However, A) those men might not keep their money or relationship if their wives tire of them or they lose social status, B) if their success is due to luck then it's no cause for envy, C) if their success is due to hard work or skill then they're to be admired. I would ask you not to give up too soon on escorts. I would think (and have experienced as a client a few times) that female escorts generally will try to serve the customer well, since they want to do their job well and earn repeat business where possible. Ok bro, I am an older millenial myself, I am 33 years old, and because I had been touched deprived and lacked intimacy basically my whole life, my whole mental state is fucked. I'm sorry that you have a very difficult mental state. If you're definitely sure that it's due to touch deprivation specifically, then by all means you should seek out touch by any (legal and safe) means necessary. I disagree that it's possible that you can touch yourself so much that it will cure your loneliness or touch deprivation. Ok let's assume you're correct. But would it be a good thing if it were possible? For example, if there was some scientific breakthrough that enabled single men to not feel lonely or touch deprived, then would that be a good thing? Would you champion it?

What on earth has led you to believe that chronically single men aren't touching themselves or masturbating? I think single men are touching themselves, I never claimed they aren't. I just think that they're hardly doing it – meaning by far not doing it enough. By focussing more attention on self-touch, they could feel happier and more whole in the moment, and lose the desire to pursue women. Wouldn't it be nice if all humans could feel happy and whole? (Sorry if that positive wish is an "incel …

It would really suck to go for even days without that, nevermind, months or years. The studies seem totally in line with common sense, while you seem unable to human correctly. I've been going for decades without it and doing just fine. Maybe you're being overly judgemental and cruel to those, such as me, who are lower on the totem pole than you are. Picking on the weak just for the sake of it.

I'm glad that you have friends of 30 years who you get to see on a regular basis and hug a lot. I just suspect that there might be some guys (myself included) who don't have that kind of man-man friendship in their life. Those guys could probably benefit from such a friendship. With a reliable, predictable consistent level of platonic touch, men as a whole can be less needy of women, which seems like a desirable state of affairs for both genders.

I'm pretty serious, I think gay male sex is more fun anyway. Men want different things from sex than women do. This results in confusion and heartbreak for both IMO. Now that it's the 21st century and we're (somewhat) free from the shackles of biology, we can go for relationships that are more sexually satisfying.

Touching your own body is not the same thing as loving touch from another person. Well I found my own touch during long masturbation sessions to be quite a bit superior to what I had experienced from previous sex partners. For men like me who are unattractive to women, well cultivated self-touch might be a good substitute. Since women complain so much about unwanted interest from men, shouldn't women, such as yourself, be all in favour of low-status beta males like me keeping to ourselves and us…

It's all valid dude, chill. I hike a lot, I do mad calisthenics, also swim, run, you name it. But we should expand our repertoire as men. We should do yoga, stretching. We should spend longer time masturbating. BTW the above activities will also help us increase male-male attraction, which helps us to become gay. All men should ideally become gay because it's clear women don't want us.

Yes I believe in all of that too. John Kabatt Zinn talks about naming emotions and doing the body scan and yoga. I basically agree with all this and this is all included when I say "meditation". Also we need to examine the emotions for insight. This is how we truly escape and transcend. Emotions in a way are like higher math, you understand by representation then by abstraction then by transformation.

You can do things that put you in a different mind state. People do this all the time to cope with loss, grieving, pain, etc. Have you ever tried breathing deeply in a public place and feeling connected to everything and everyone? Totally transforms the experience. Suddenly you're part of the cosmos. It's mind-blowing. It does take a bit of inner work to transform feelings but it can be done. I recommend the writings of John Kabatt Zin.

Thanks, I'm reading this some more, this is a very insightful post. I honestly think men have forgotten how to be men. However, this is not due to feminism, its more the cultural shift from when men used to work in rural areas before urban areas became a thing. I agree with you but I also make this kind of post to trigger feminists who try to push this narrative that we need women when in fact we don't (especially when we cultivate real friendships among men).

4. They're pretty fucked on this front. It's not the worst front to be fucked on, but it doesn't have zero downfalls. That's why they are at least somewhat accurately complaining about their lack of physical and emotional attention of a specific kind. Yes, you can find other things and patch it over with friends, family, and adventure and still have a fantastically meaningful life, but it is a detriment. You seem to be putting an overly negative slant on single hood calling it a "detriment". Isn…

What store is this happening in? Is it one woman or many? All stores. The more upmarket the store, the worse it gets. It's individual women, I don't know if there's anything they have in common, except they seem to be usually in their 30s/40s and middle class. I don't see older women behaving like this as much, in fact maybe they're also victims of it.

So you regularly have women barge in front of you in line and try to slam into you? Are you sue this isn't something that happened once and that stuck with you? It's such a regular occurrence that I've learned to pre-emptively get out of the way as soon as I see them coming. If you want to blame the victim go ahead. Maybe I deserve somehow it because I'm a guy. but anyway it's definitely happened many times. Shit happens. People are mean. Gender often has nothing to do with it. Have you really h…

Occasionally my sister insists on hugging me, so I comply, but I find it awkward and weird. I don't have any partners, but I'm working on transitioning to be gay so I can hopefully date gay guys. But it's fun to chat with guys on dating apps. Of course, I don't have any female sex partners, apparently we're all rapists, and anyway I'm unattractive to women, plus I don't want to lose half my money, be falsely accused, etc. I wish society had more institutions for helping men (who want to be gay) …

Maybe I'm just weird but I don't feel any negative reaction in my body. I feel healthy too. It would be nice to have some bros to hug occasionally, that I will grant. That would be a nice extra to have in life, not a necessity.

But, I can grant anyone, not having the kissing, cuddling, constant skin to skin of a partner is going to be a worse lifestyle that a bro really cannot fulfill unless you swing that way. I dunno, is it? You'd have to consider all the things a man would have to give up to even have a woman partner in the first place. And then the constant threat of losing the woman. And then what about men who aren't attractive to any woman? Seems to me there are many cases where a bro is a more practical option.

I agree with you generally. I think the touch phobia is mostly coming from western white feminised men in a couple relationship with a bossy feminist woman who slowly undermines them (probably due to unresolved "mummy issues"). A lot of more normal men who don't act like they have a stick up their arse do seem comfortable with hugs or at least shaking hands.

So this has nothing to do with your online circles. Just suddenly women you don't talk to and don't interact with "feel" like they don't want you to exist? Women in public (strangers) never talked or interacted with me from the time I was an adult, and that's cool of course. What makes me feel like they don't want me to exist is things like me being in a queue and they just barge in front of me, or they try to slam into me with a shopping trolley in the supermarket. I'm not 100% sure what simping means but I think it encourages desperate behaviour. Which plays right into the feminist playbook because then they can point at all the men acting desperate and be like: "see? male entitlement!!" It's kind of weird reverse psychology.

"we don't need men anymore" is the 2nd wave stuff I was talking about. It is extremely rare in modern feminist thought. That's just the vibe I get these days from modern feminist urban women, walking down the street, riding public transport, sitting at the park, I just get the general feeling and mood in the air that "we'd prefer if you didn't exist". I find it different these days. Even 10 years ago it was friendlier, like people would wait their turn in queue even if it was a man, etc. But the…

I feel like the "we don't need men anymore" is the vibe of feminism these days. I'm on board with "men going their own way" type feminism where men should never approach women, etc. but I just feel like men should still be allowed to be human and part of society. But if academically and cleverly you can somehow prove that we need to go further and have gender segregation, I'm totally cool with that, but then men will really need to be nice to eachother.

But we both know there is a reason why you will never post on reddit: "Women should be more open to platonic touch from men," and it has nothing to do with man-hating, feminists. Because it would get immediately taken down. But look I sympathise with women. They can't stand men, they literally hate us. (Except for some legendary / mythical "top 10% man" who no one has ever seen. It's fine, let's just leave them alone then. But we can still act suave and gentlemanly around other men.

I am also going to argue this is very much an American and childish thing. I like your username btw, are you American? A grown man complaining of not being touched, even not meant in sexual way, comes across as needy, childish and off-putting. Yeah complaining that way about women specifically is childish. I think you’re conflating two things. Not me conflating, the "adult men need touch" propaganda is conflating them. Men often say their love language is “touch” when they’re really talking about sex. I'm just curious - do you have statistics on this or is it just your/your friends' experience? Speaking for myself, I have never initiated sex at all, it was always the woman who did. I never even asked for sex. And also at least one woman lost her temper with me because I turned down sex one time. S…

Firstly we need to encourage and ALLOW male spaces, so men can learn to like just socialise with men again. Yes But we don't need to "learn to socialise", we already know, we're human. So we just need the mens spaces. The lack of such spaces is the reason we sometimes feel isolated. Urban space has become ridiculously feminised in case you didn't notice. I have plenty of platonic touch in my life with men and women. I'm poly. My desire for others isn't disguised at all. I'm addressing this post which is about platonic touch. And other cultures don't have this preference. There are places in the world where men regularly hold hands with each other as part of brotherly love. Once again, Asian culture proves itself wiser than the west.

We need the next era to have the good parts from both the present and past. Given how many men are paying and doing absolutely anything to get women to touch them, I'd agree with it. Just because they're willing to pay doesn't mean it's essential for life. Because apparently bodybuilding is fashionable, but not actually investing in the body - that's for women, and unfortunately the world is still too misogynistic to accept anything else. Babies can die without skin to skin contact. We're not babies here, we're adults. Medical understanding advances, we also have ready access to a lot more information than we did in the 90s. Maybe we could learn a thing or two from boomers. Haha I agree with you even before reading any statistics. Actually it's not just the dating market that's messed up. The couples scene itself is messed up. A while back, my husband made a pact with his guy friends to have a meeting online once a week and discuss about how each of them are doing and how they are progressing on their path to their dreams. He said it was amazing and felt very motivated. Nobody arrested him 🤷‍♀️. Ok well this is heartening to hear. I'm hoping to generate similar kind of events for single guys.

Our cultures have been around centuries to millenia longer than yours, while yours is imploding after less than 300 years. In the end, we won't become like you. We will simply look on from the outside while you destroy yourselves. I hope you're wrong and I also hope you're right. 😂

Ok, interesting, I feel sympathetic to your idea. Then maybe we should have groups where the topic is either womens or mens trauma but the participants can be any gender. But they must allow full expression on the topic and not shut down people who express rage or sadness and not label anyone as "misogynist", "misandrist", etc for preferring to be single, etc. etc. Basically none of the Reddit/social media toxicity, just honest talk. As long as there is free and open expression and everyone is p…

I don't want men to self-censor from embarrassment or fear. If it's really necessary for a woman to be present at each and every gathering, perhaps there can be 1 hour set aside for a smaller group of men only to move to a separate area and talk and listen quietly before returning to the larger group. But if it's legal for women-only groups to exist then I see no harm in mens-only groups existing also.

Look at the posts on this sub. Men are in emotional turmoil and pain. We need to give them a venue to express their feelings and trauma and support them. And help them manage their feelings productively.

I have a hard time understanding your use of the word “legal”. Of course that’s ok. FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY AND ASSOCIATION and all that. Yes true. I'm going to start working on this, now that I have some free time these days. There's all kinds of stigma and shame about even being in such groups that man men will need to work internally to overcome. I think the mainstream groups are a bit inconvenient and infrequent and also strike me as a bit fake and airbrushed. I'm looking to make something 100% online, global and where the emphasis is on sharing feelings and experiences non-judgementally and each other ourselves up. And with no "social"…

I have no idea what "individuals mattering" has to do with your inability to get a date. Relationships are voluntary, and there's never been any sort of guarantee that someone will exist who you will come across and who you'll have mutual interest and compatibility with. It's Ok, I don't want a date, I gave up on that decades ago. I have far grander ambitions! Men don't have to be "manipulated" into pursuing sex with women. That's your own biology. I would say misandry is pretty openly tolerated and is a source of amusement for women. It appears all the time. Do you see the women on the view 'Most men are useless'. 100% right. And in all kinds of subtle crafty ways too, so it doesn't appear on the surface to be the case. Lots of hinting that men are not wanted without coming out and saying it. There should be no obligation to accept women. Some thoughts are best kept to those who can properly empathise and not judge. Sexual abuse should be much more widely discussed as many men are suffering quietly from terrible histories with little or no listening ear.

This kind of place I'm familiar with from movies, but they don't exist much in Australia. I think we really need places where people who have similar issues can meet up and not feel embarrassed, judged, socially ostracised or as if they're some kind of criminal just for having feelings.

Quite to the contrary, I think in a country that values free speech we need to assert that we can speak publicly. There's nothing shameful about sharing a male perspective or discussing male grievances. Assuming it's constructive, factual and not advocating violence or mistreatment. Our countries have compromised on their commitment to free speech, sadly. But I hold out hope that you're right.

It’s called “if you won’t be with me in your prime, I don’t want you in your decline” It can be the same on the woman's side too. The amusing thing is, the so-called "low status" men like me who are single can easily have sex with the same escorts, as we have extra money to afford it, since we don't have families to be responsible for. I agree with you on the man side, but on the woman side, the West is living proof that none of the points you list are any longer relevant. Western women can do pretty much whatever they want. Much of the time, even the law won't get in their way. And they are not interested in men such as you describe. They'll probably find a way to coerce lower class men to do it on occasion. And I'm sure they'll find some way to blame men / "the patriarchy" if the job isn't up to scratch.

Oh really? Is that why women haaaate the phrase "not all men"? Is that why women actively blame and persecute the male gender as a whole for the crimes of men they are cohabiting with or in some kind of family relationship to? Is that why women are pushing terms like "toxic masculinity" and "male privilege"? I'm not convinced that women don't want men to disappear.

Women almost never get attacked randomly its always someone they know, which sounds bad yes but why take it out on random men when they aren’t the problem?? Isn't it funny how women accuse strangers when it's men in their family who are the culprits? And then they smear single men as "incels", "terrorists" etc. who are just trying to live their lives and make the best of social isolation?

Interesting. Speaking for Australia, there are no shortage of ads for houses, flats, etc. marked "WOMEN ONLY" and they are far greater number than any other category of exclusionary ad. How do you know it's voluntary and not coerced? Maybe they feel socially pressured to go because ... you know... patriarchy. Furthermore, women are becoming the primary customers at universities. Their wants are going to be reflected in what is offered to them as housing options. But universities are still run by men at the upper levels. Preferred housing arrangements at universities is a good way to measure what women actually want when it comes to a living arrangement. This would presumably include the structure of an environment even as large as a city. You assume it's not already infected/infiltrated by the patriarchy. It's not that women are sabotaging themselves... Women are perfectly happy not to be dating any men. You are 100% correct. Actually it's narcissism more than anything. The other person's wealth makes you feel more attractive. You feel like your looks can "buy" a certain quality of wealth. So this conceit props up your self-image. IMO the most important social skill for men is controlling your anger. Close 2nd and 3rd are listening and empathising (imagining how the other person feels). And those apply in many aspects of life not just sexual relationships. Those skills are not necessary for being sexually attractive (as should be abundantly obvious to anyone who observes men and woman or follows statistics). But IMO they do make your life more happy and spare you from unwanted dangers such as lawsuits, fist-fights, etc.

"Broke" is different from "poor". Broke can still have inherited wealth, belong to the upper class, etc. That probably goes pretty far to explain their attractiveness. You'll look more youthful and have more energy, probably smell better (pherenomes) and also be hornier which makes sex more fun. If for whatever reason someone doesn't want to date when young, I don't see why they should feel any pressure to. Do whatever makes you happy. If a young person wants to pursue strictly sexual encounters and skip the tedium of "traditional dating" – expensive dinners, trips to the cine…

Thanks for sharing your nuanced thoughts. I broadly agree with you in terms of the broad online usage of "simping". However can I just ask you, since you seem intelligent: Do you think our present-day society is hierarchical? And do you think some men struggle with accepting their subordinate role in the hierarchy?

It seems to me that sometimes society changes gradually (abolition) and sometimes it's relatively sudden (Industrial Revolution). But I don't see how buying into the patriarchal system and "being the powerful bad guy" is going to advance the feminist cause. Sorry if that makes me somehow stupid or ignorant. I feel like simping is more on a societal scale. Like you show excessive sympathy toward the feminist movement, only to get a slap in the face in return. It's the old "no good deed goes unpunished". The more feminist you try to be, the more they try to hurt you. By acting according to feminist "principles" (if there even is such a thing) you're actually undermining their movement, since their movement depends on you being the enemy/antagonist! This is maybe beyond feminism and part of the nature…

The real life application is that you’re “buying into society to get what you need”. That’s what normalcy/blue pill is Ok interesting... But since society is apparently patriarchal, wouldn't buying into society only be reinforcing patriarchal norms? Or is the blue pill supposed to somehow be both patriarchal and feminist simultaneously? No worries if you prefer not to answer that. I can imagine how awkward it must feel to confront the utter hypocrisy and two-faced-ness of your own movement! 😊

I should clarify (and sorry if the following disappoints you) I don't think pill discourse is about sex at all. That's just a disguise. I think it's really about moral judgement, power, ideology and competing visions of the future and of the good life.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 03:30 PM

I agree that most people don't think the world is fair and just. But my contention is that people do make moral judgements, even if they don't admit that they do. So my questioning is around: what are those moral judgements? I.e. in the mind of someone who condemns red-pill men, what is the "good man" which such men can and ought to be?

What you do defines you, so if people don’t respect you, you either haven’t done anything to earn their respect, or you’re around people who are not worth your time because they’re assholes. What if most of people's respect is entirely contingent on factors completely out of your control (e.g. whether you belong to their in-group according to some hard-wired social category), and thus it is impossible to earn their respect? In that case, the more realistic ("red pill") belief is that they choose…

By eliminating the socioeconomic/professional hierarchy inherent to capitalism, social democracy restricts your position in society to your position in the social sphere- so thus, such a society becomes a de facto matriarchy. Not sure I buy that. Men would quickly adapt and rise. Humans are generally very adaptable. Much of the economy is already social anyway. Most men dealing with physical object aren't lifting heavy things by hand, they're using machines. So the effort is more social, i.e. in…

Another thing to consider is that both pills might have different definitions of what constitutes a "social hierarchy". So you can end up being both a simp in one kind of hierarchy, and a rebel in a different one. Tentatively, the two hierarchies might be the technocracy (government, academia, corporations, big tech) vs the oligarchy (billionaires, private equity, informal networks, content creators, the developing world). The incumbent wants respect, obedience, docility and blue-pill. The chall…

Interesting take, thanks! I think there's a lot of truth to what you write though I don't totally agree with you. There are extremes of attractiveness/unattractiveness in both men and woman. There are women who are overweight, had 3 kids and live in a ghetto. You're giving an extreme example to try and disprove my point. Most men are 5'8 to 6'2 in height so most men are not destined to be unattractive. There's some truth to that, but the same kind of thing probably applies on the mens' side. Part of our enjoyment of sex is enjoying how powerful, virile, etc. a woman makes our own body feel. I mean we can get philosophical about this and say that, for all human beings male or female, from each individual's perspective, everyone they encounter is just a way of experiencing themselves or "props" as you put it. Womens' looks standards are brutal on themselves actually. I feel sorry for them. Men should rather be applying more rational standards to ourselves and our potential partners such as goals, character, etc. If that results in staying single and not having a partner, so be it. This is based on a flawed 80s construct of "romance" which is really just pursuit of symbolic status and power. (Look at how hot my wife/partner is, I must be an above-average man) This is all based on a prior generation of massive population growth, economic growth and status anxiety. Femininity is also part of the "old way" of the prior generation. A woman spending a lot of her time on her looks and depending on a male breadwinner is just glorified prostitution. Having your own dedicated prostitute is simply not economically viable anymore even if you could somehow argue that it's ethical. What you want is a life partner (or two) where you can both be emotionally intimate and feel situationally connected.

Doesn't have to be about grinding only, maybe you want a slow lifestyle, pursue frugality, live abroad in SE Asia, etc. etc. Whatever your goal is, you only want someone who is on the same journey, not waste your time with those who are on different journeys.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 10:18 AM

Why pursue those who distain you? Better to abstain until you are better networked (including with compatible men) and then better able to find the type of people/networks who won't distain you because you have similar goals and interests (and thus to distain you would be to distain themselves). Not only can you afford to be picky (there's nothing wrong with being single) you can't afford not to be. You will risk wasting your life (or a big chunk of it) with inappropriate people. YOLO.

Then the women on the street walk bombastically and almost knock you off the sidewalk. Then you almost accidentally bump into a couple who are standing there in the middle of the sidewalk making out in full view. Or you want an education, so you join a university, but then the class is full of women who all give …

Spot on! Add on to that various forms of discrimination, e.g. married men more likely to be hired and promoted, have a larger social circle, more respected, etc. Please don't get me wrong – I'm happy not to be married. I will gladly sacrifice all the above. I am happier to live true to myself than bend to whatever shape society wants. Anyway I live a healthy active lifestyle, so any years I lose from not being married I'll more than make up with in good habits. BTW I observe married men often li…

Having a girlfriend/wife is a way many men try to communicate "I am a good, wholesome and respectable member of the community". I find this kind of absurd, since there are so many multitudes cases of men who had female partners going through breakups (including high profile like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos) or being discovered to be terrible in other ways, e.g. child abusers, corrupt, etc. Once you deprogram yourself from the matrix/bluepill you see very clearly how facile and frankly childish this p…

I think there are both biological and societal reasons why men crave that validation. Actually I believe it's almost entirely societal at this point. Porn, prostitution, etc. have pretty much eliminated the biological imperative. The societal effect is because the boomers and Xers are still entrenched in the old blue pill narratives and their influence is still prevalent in various media, cultural forms, etc. Little or nothing posted on RedPill forums and similar is sexual in nature. Maybe there are a few good natured, humble women who genuinely appreciate men, but those pale in comparison to the number of women whose default mode towards men is spite and contempt. IMO a lot of it is about just trying to cope with society which constantly shoves women, dating, heterosexuality and feminism down our necks. Just to get some relief from this mass societal force-feeding, we seek a viewpoint that's refreshingly different and more relevant to our actual experiences and (god forbid) makes us feel good about ourselves and like we're more than ugly hairy apes.

Interesting post, thanks for sharing. I agree with a lot of that. One question: The average RPer isn't really spending that much time going to normal Internet forums and debating with normal people on such topics. Where are the "normal Internet forums" where people debate things like what women want, why some men are unattractive, etc? As far as I can tell, as soon as you debate these things, you're pretty much in a RedPill or adjacent community. There seem to be few or no venues online, in acad…

Yes. And then these popular guys who are getting lots of attention develop an inflated ego, which leads to them mistreating their mistresses, behaving entitled, abusive, creepy, etc. Then women who are on the receiving end of that complain and protest that "men are terrible". And every man suddenly has to carry the cross for the sins of the privileged few. And if we get angry or upset about this, women just tell us to stop being entitled, abusive, creepy, etc. because from womens' point of view,…

Ok I'm beginning to believe you. High status woman = her man is attractive to others but he denies them Low status woman = her man is desperate for others so he obliges them I guess the better look is if your husband is loyal but in demand. Though I wonder what kind of gymnastics it takes to be deemed "in demand" in order to make your wife feel high status enough that she won't divorce you. These kinds of questions are why I don't pursue marriage.

Not just sexual, imagine having clear guidelines on what is attractive (e.g. well established stereotypes such as "bears", "otters", etc), and feeling competent to find a partner within your league and not being trapped in horrible relationships out of desperation.

no but it's how you turn those borderlines into a yes. Haven't you been following #MeToo and the plentiful "no means no" campaigns? Women regard this kind of pushiness as sexual harassment. It is not attractive or desired. The idea that women ever found that attractive was in mens' heads all along, and the only way men convinced themselves to believe it was because they had outsized power due to the patriarchy.

Yes because no woman ever likes a guy enough to respond anything more than overt and persistent and highly skilled flirtation, which is why only a certain type of man can succeed with them. And BTW there are very real risks involved in flirtation, such as being accused of sexual harassment and forced to pay penalties or even do jail time.

I just think women just have a totally different psychology altogether about dating and relationships. What women want in men is almost polar opposite of what men want in women. So much of how women think and act is like a hostile alien culture to me. This is a big part of why I wish I was gay.

If it's possible that some kind of therapy, brain surgery or other treatment could help the straight men to cultivate an attraction to other men - in effect to become gay - this would be to their advantage, as it would result in greater likelihood of success in dating, sex, etc. I know you probably don't like thi…

A large number of women rotate between a tiny number of men. Not technically polygamy but there does seem to be an element of monpolization in this.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:56 PM

And yet most men still end up in relationships with women. Evidence?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:53 PM

But through their dating choices they are effectively ensuring that a tiny number of men sleep with most of the women. I don't see how this is not moving in the direction of polygamy? Or are you claiming that, because no one man is with any fixed group of women for any length of time, therefore it's not polygamy? But how do you know it won't tend that way in future, as these women want to spend more time with the men they find so attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:52 PM

Yeah a few and also I've observed groups of women from a distance and noticed that they seem to be often smiling, laughing, giggling, hugging and generally really enjoying each others company to the max. I don't observe this in men where I live. It's extremely much more rare to see men in groups at all When they are in groups, it's very small groups, like 2 or maybe 3 men max They seem to have a kind of grim look on their faces and not talk much and keep their voices down and their eyes somewhat…

I do polyamory. And I would say that it's pretty feminist and getting more popular. But the idea that polygamy is what any feminists want is insane. Would you care to define the difference between the two in application? If you are really worried about abused kids then you should support free birth control, abortion and a larger social safety net. I 100% support all of the above. I just hope that if harems is how it's going to be, then children don't become victims of the men in such scenarios.

Marriage-wise yes but it's not illegal for multiple women to sleep with the same man, it's quite normal in fact. Eventually women will form relationships with these men and then they will have to change the law to allow for a contract. Now I guess they won't call it "polygamy" because that would sound too patriarchal. I guess they'll name it something more fashionable like... oh I dunno... "polyamory" perhaps?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:39 PM

There are zero women advocating for men to have multiple wives lmfao. Not openly and not yet, it's still taboo, give it time! The overwhelming majority of women (and men) prefer monogamy, or serial monogamy If it's serial monogamy with the same tiny pool of men, then I guess it's a time-sharing system. Which is totally Ok and fine, but are we ready as a society to cope with power imbalances that might result? Women will not share husbands if they can’t find what they want. They will reject long …

/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:35 PM

Yes, one partner for life is seen as parochial, overly Christian, authoritarian, even (shudder) patriarchal! I think the ideal social order for women would be a tiny number of high quality men and otherwise just women and no men at all! So I just hope they send us unfortunate "loser men" to some not-too-harsh camps where we can have some peace and quiet and maybe a few mental health counsellors to help us cope with the change.

My attempts to become involved in the poly community (though attending quite a number of meetups in my city) mostly resulted in me being ignored and avoided and given dirty looks, similar to the other newbie men who showed up. A few very popular and horrid looking but high social status men and their girlfriends seemed to dominate the scene. So my experience with the poly community is not 0, more like -5 or something.

You don't think most women most of the time don't want a man to not exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:29 PM
-3

Women don't consciously want to compete with other women, but I think it's more of a fait-accompli at this point. Women are putting a lot of effort into their appearance still, and yet only dating a small percentage of available men. So whether they realise it or not, women are basically becoming part of these mens' virtual harems.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:27 PM
1

I will admit that my understanding of feminism is limited, but to the best of my knowledge, none of them are actively calling for men to be allowed to marry multiple women and for power to be concentrated in the hands to a small number of powerful men - that would be the polar opposite of a feminist society. Really? How so? If women are happy with this, who are we, the masses of inferior men, to question this? Women could still be in charge of finances, could still be put in powerful political p…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:24 PM

Well sure they're not mutually exclusive. As I mentioned in other comments, the masses of women could share amongst themselves a tiny pool of top 10% elite men, who they could semi-frequently rotate. So the social order would look like a tiny number of men and most women as the upper-middle-class and a large number of single lonely isolated men as a permanent underclass, kind of like a caste system. Call it "caste-polyamory". Sounds much cooler and hipper than polygamy!

/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:18 PM

Oh really? You're saying that in polyamory there isn't a top echelon of men who totally dominate the dating market in a "winner-take-all" fashion while the rest of the men are kicked to the curb, shunned and ridiculed? Well that polyamory sounds great, sign me up! However I sense Louise Perry is anticipating the more polygamous style of relationships, and that does unfortunately (for men) seem consistent with the data.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:17 PM

Why not? Women seem to get on pretty well together generally. Women are more socially connected than men these days. Who knows, some beautiful lesbian relationships might form!

I don’t think that women even like virtual harem Are you sure of that? I've heard women complain so much about men being too desperate, too pushy, domineering, etc. Wouldn't it be a perfect scenario for a woman to date a high quality man who will easily disappear whenever she doesn't feel like being around him because he can go see another one of this x00s of girlfriends?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:13 PM

Ok maybe that's dating culture, but most women will still only want to marry top 10% of men, so somehow, polygamy seems inevitable, or at least some kind of pooled / time-sharing system.

Well right now maybe not but maybe in the future they will want to be in the same household if not have children as much. Or maybe past a certain age women aren't interested in sex or men. Or maybe they could become lesbians. (I would personally advise most men to become gay.) But I have a sense the men who are Chads now will continue to be successful and their success will only compound on itself and increase further, leading to dazzling inequalities in the dating market. If dating app stats are anything to go by, most women are only interested in a tiny number of men. With so few attractive men to go round, if women want at least semi-frequent access to a man, it seems like, if not polygamy, at least some kind of "time-share" system is inevitable. I suppose it could be engineered in a cloud-computing fashion to keep things decoupled. I.e. a woman could subscribe to a pool of top 10% men, rotating among the men. That way she could enjoy the freshness of meeting a…

I was following you until this part: Consequently, the few viable options for women amidst the plethora of men often result in minimal effort and commitment, leading to frustration and unhappiness for women. Who says women are frustrated and unhappy about this? My observation is women in the west have tried casual-polygamy and found that is suits them just fine. I think a lot of men labor under the mistaken idea that women should like them as they are. Maybe that's what their moms told them when they were little. I don't know, but there is no real reason that should be true. Women are not obligated to like you as you are. That's not what I see. I see men trying hard. Working hard at gym. Dieting. How much of these statistics are society's fault for not being tolerant / accepting enough of gay, bisexual, trans, etc. people? Note: I'm a male, apologies in advance, I know you were mainly looking for bi women to answer this. It's the same for gay men - for gay men, even twink/femme men, dating is easier than opposite sex (not perfect but better). TBH, I half believe that most humans are homosexual or bisexual and have just suppressed that impulse out of societal pressure. The heterosexual mindset is rampant in …

Nice opinion. Thanks Although I used to doubt my masculinity at first, I stopped a while ago when I realised it doesn't have anything to do with at all. That's a powerful mindset because it opens you to a broader pallet of thoughts, reactions, strategies, etc. Personally as far back as I can remember I was always inwardly contemptuous of any thing/person that attempted to define my masculinity for me. My opinion... Women desire both commitment and sex, similar to how men desire both a good job and a nice car. It's just that they desire different attributes from each. For commitment: women prefer all the things that come to mind if you stop and think about it: mental stability, friendliness, safety, nice conversation, etc. For sex: women prefer whatever turns them on, same as men. For various evolutionary/biological and cultural reasons, this often is behaviour that would otherwise be deemed a…

Men age faster / worse than women and now women don't need mens' money either. So men are basically losing all their bargaining chips as time progresses. There's an obvious inequality in attractiveness - women will always be in more demand and less supply at all ages, because they look better than men. In light of this, maybe men should seriously consider whether any relationship with any woman is likely to last. As the man's market value diminishes and the woman's market value increases, the in…

I agree with you generally but with social interactions, I don't think the key is to have "no agenda" but rather to make it clear in various ways what your agenda is. E.g. if you just enjoy someone's company you can indicate that with compliments in that direction, and they'll appreciate it but also it will give them clarity. If you want to get intimate with someone, there are ways to indicate that as well, that should also give them clarity.

I've been able to keep it going for a while. Small boosts can occur. E.g. today a group of attractive women eyed me up as I walked by in a singlet with bulging muscles and flat stomach. For me, these kinds of happenings are like 50% of the confidence of getting laid. Even if they all then take turns sleeping with some tall socially gifted fatso tonight, there's a good chance they'll be thinking of me.

When you gave up the gym for a while you were admitting to yourself that women were the only motivation you could permit yourself. If/when you picked up gym again, you were proving to yourself that you could do it for greater motivations.

Thanks for these tips, I appreciate it, and these seem also good for professional success. Can I please ask you one question? Get your nails done Do you mean clip them, maybe file them too, and keep them neat myself? Or do you think it would even be noticed to go a step further and attend a nail salon? Anyway these are all good tips, thanks for sharing. It's worth trying them at least before giving up, nothing ventured nothing gained. :)

We as men need to build up very strong an "inner voice" which says: You yourself are already good enough without a woman You are objectively beautiful, regardless of whatever look is trendy among women or societal judgement etc You don't need to care about women whose tastes are the opposite of your looks, they might as well not exist as far as you're concerned You can cultivate an attraction to gay/bi men if you so desire, which is more likely to be reciprocated, and there is nothing wrong or i…

I don't know what the popular belief is these days, but here are my beliefs. "unfuckable" men are like that for a good and often times deserved reason Most men are sexually undesirable to most women, as a matter of fact. There is no "deserve" or moral judgement, this is just a fact of reality, like the sky being blue. "nice guys" don't get to have sex with women because they are generally shitty people and it is treated as if it were evidence of a moral character flaw There is no "nice guy", peo…

We need to figure out ways to prevent men from approaching women at all, including the pushy types. Maybe it should be made a legal offence for men to initiate contact, or at least for men to persist after a woman has asked a man to leave (I believe in many places this is already harassment, but maybe enforcement needs to get better).

I agree (roughly) with your assessment but not with your conclusion. "Women's standards are too high" - yes womens' standards are too high for most men, and they always have been, but due to historical factors, previous generations of women were forced to marry men they weren't attracted to. Now that we have progress, liberalisation, feminism, etc. women are able to act on their true desires and the result is that most men are considered insufficient. "The problem with the dating market" - no, t…

IMO it's an excuse for the other person not to be a responsible adult and an active participant. Basically the "leader" has to invest most of the effort, make most of the decisions and take all the risks, while the "follower" can just coast along with minimal risk or downside, conveniently blaming the leader for any problems. I would never want to be with a partner who expects me to "lead" the relationship. Leadership should be assigned only in a specific field with clearly delineated boundaries…

None of this has any bearing on reality. It's basically just nonsense. It's a model, which is a simplification of reality, but I think it holds. The survival instinct exists in nature for a reason. Nature "wants" to maintain and propagate itself. How do you explain all the extinct species and evolutionary dead-ends? Well, you can be as skeptical as you like, but the reality is that most human behaviour and desires are due to social conditioning. This is basic psychology. "Social conditioning" is…

So it wouldn't make sense for it to make women not attracted to most men because that would mean less reproduction. I don't think this is necessarily true, at least not biologically and mathematically. Remember each man can impregnate many women and any given woman can only be pregnant with at most 2 children at once and only one pregnancy per 12 months (plus 5 months to even get pregnant). So even if womens' collective goal was to maximise reproduction, only a very small ratio of men to women w…

Be kindhearted, be considerate, share, dont be selfish. Be humble/quiet, dont bother people. That's actually pretty good advice for staying out of trouble growing up, which is a good idea if you want to have a broadly successful life. Eventually (in the west at least) you have to think and decide for yourself, independent of your parents and even your community. This is called: adulthood. Nothing unusual about it. If I had a choice I wouldn't choose celibacy, just to find out what sex is like, but TBH, on average I probably had a better time pleasuring myself. But of course desire is a strong impulse even when the object of desire is overrated and overvalued.

we do see this phoenoma of less toxic women being called boring or even the assumption that they’re not interested as well I find it curious how some women put forward this notion of "assuming they're/we're not interested". I agree with a lot of your points. These are true not only about dating but the wider society. E.g. Hyper-specialisation of work and shortening of tenure at jobs and shortening of careers Shorter lease holds and tendency to move intercity, interstate and inter country for work. Smaller niches of musical genres vs. what used to be "big tent" genres such as rock'n'roll and hip-hop Fragmentation of political parties and ideology I don't think these are wholly negative, they do provide a fair amount…

Men swipe right on every woman, not because they aren’t superficial, but because they want to have sex with any woman they can. How do you know sex is the motivator? Did you ever imagine what it's like to be a man and get so little attention, practically zero, so that you're desperate for anyone to even just respond to your message? Maybe that's why men swipe right so much?

If I were to guess i think about 10-15% of men do inappropriate things like catcalling and another 10-15% send dick picks and inappropriate pictures or hit on a lady then call her fat and ugly. Right ... so we're talking 30% of men doing these things. Not the majority by far. But women are definitely rejecting the majority of men on dating apps. I got a fair amount of attention as a child though it was way more focussed on achievement or being well spoken etc, but for girls I think it's more about looks. But I find it amusing that women would want to "secure mates and relationships" but at the same time they talk about "toxic masculinity" etc. It seems like women have a love/hate relationship with men. Working out is far more effort than "washing your hair" or wearing typical makeup. Are you sure though? Working out is harder physically but makeup could be harder cognitively. Though I guess both can be somewhat routinised so maybe it's a wash.

A major point of the passport bro movement is that western women are so unattractive to western men that they need to move to a third world country to find a woman who meets their rigorous standards. It's funny you say that because I hear the opposite. The story I hear is that western women have such high standards that almost no man can qualify, and that's why they become passport bros and move to third world country. 😂

But the professional world is another story. There women do seem to have to get another wardrobe that is supremely impractical for anything other than wearing to the office. Although I suppose men have to "dress professionally" as well. Tell me about it... I find the corporate dress codes so comical. As a programmer I generally got away with looking like a slob. What I find interesting is the bizarre need to displace agency from women for their own choices onto men. While men have our own beauty standards for women they're nowhere near as high and much of the effort women invest in their appearance isn't even noticed by most men. The pink razor is put with all the womens products away from the mens products, so the price difference isn't as obvious when we think of supermarkets. If you were a single woman, you might never look at the male grooming products to see the price difference. Ok yes true, good point, I didn't notice that. Even the very presence of a "womens section" vs. "mens section" already pushes women to purchase certain kinds of products. I wish women could somehow fight back, e.g. boycott or something. I r…

Ok, it makes sense. It seems capitalism, mass media, influencers, etc. all prey and/or are victim to basic human impulses such as desire for acceptance by others, desire for status, etc. The above is such a cliched, oft-said remark that I had to stop for a moment to actually comprehend its meaning. Interesting. So do you think the women who adhere to a higher standard create a gap or "delta" between themselves and average women, such that average women feel pressured to maintain or improve their own standard out of a kind of social conformity? Like could it be that there is an "influencer" category of women who push the standard up?

I agree with your thoughts. Especially this idea of artificially inflated demand. But I still feel I don't understand it. Why do women buy the proverbial pink razor? The idea must already be in their heads (e.g. through social conditioning) that pink is somehow the better choice. The majority of women are (at least nominally) opposite-sex attracted, so by definition are not lesbian, so they don't experience same-sex relationship issues. Despite progress LBGTIQ communities still face disadvantage even in modern developed countries. Some of this disadvantage may put pressure on relationships. It's a well known fact that financial pressure is a major cause of relationship breakdowns. So that might explain why lesbian relationships have high rates of violence (if indeed they…
