I feel the same way honestly. I don't know the answer or the fix, but my hobbies are not friend makers for sure. My other problem is I have very few interests. I genuinely don't enjoy a lot of things which makes it hard for me to broaden my horizons.

checks out. Had a group of friends do them. 2 of the friends were very used to it and were fine. Third friend wasn't sure so he ate 1/4 of the brownie to test the waters and had a good 3-4 hours. Guy 4 wanted to match 1 and 2 and ate a whole brownie. That guy freaked out, was screaming, saying he was going to die. He experienced pure panic for over an hour and also got really sick, he was puking like crazy and was an awful person to be around.

i try and take something from their profile an interest or something, but tinder doesn't have much. I got messaged first once and she asked what was up and I made some ellaborate story making the grocery store sound like a warzone and it may get rough going there on a saturday. She said she'd go with me and i forgot my response but never got anything back. Most of them are pretty short. Where she messaged me first was 4-5 messages between both 2 on my part i believe.

It helps because living at home at that age is looked down upon and thus can make him feel shitty about himself. If he didn't care that he lived at home with his parents he wouldn't have brought it up. It could also help him make friends, he could get an apartment and get a roommate through some service which he may become friends with or meet friends through. Either way a sense of independence can help when you feel shitty.

you don't have to be super specific, but say lets go for a walk or ride bikes, or go to dinner. Then come up with where to go together. Honestly sounds like the first girl was just a bitch. Free time I generally just like computers,moves, music, video games, and working out a good bit. So every other redditor ever... Not many places to go for those hobbies. I have some pretty bad anxiety and have gone to a doctor and a therapist to help myself. The therapist told me a trick that might help you a little. Approaching strangers is just that literally a stranger. Next time you go to a store just ask a worker there to help you find something. I have bad social anxiety and I always assume the worst in this case I would assume everything I did was wrong. A therapist told me not to really worry about it and think about how you would react if the tables were turned. If she talked to you how you talked to her would you be distant or shy, or whatever negative result? If the answer is no then go ahead and assume that it is their problem not yours.
