It’s not, it’s from Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft a recognized expert in the field. Sorry I slipped in the first one and didn’t use inclusive language. I know how frustrating that can be.

That's not true at all?

Abuse. Abusers think like this. Abusers are not mentally ill or "overly aggressive". They treat other people just fine. Abusers believe they own the woman they are dating so normal rules do not apply. Cultures with gender equality do not experience domestic violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/21 06:37 PM

Only care about violent crimes
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 11:37 PM

No 🥰. Men cause trauma and it affects the dating market. I’m not going to disappear so you can pretend it doesn’t exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 10:51 PM

Yes. 🥰
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 10:39 PM

Lots of people besides religions make vague statements. If you have an argument that I'm expecting you to take something on faith, you can say that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 09:56 PM

Thanks. I never thought about them doing background checks but the on thing that made me really angry is that I was still matched w him so I reported him to tinder and unmatched. They never responded to me but I saw w him again a few days later on tinder and I reported him again and unmatched. Still no response. A few days later I found he had made a THIRD profile and reported him for the third time. Still no response from tinder but at least I haven't matched w him since.

all men benefit from male violence. This means that individual men don't have to beat me up in order for me to feel like I have to comply with what they say because other men have been willing to beat me up, the threat is already there. I don't meet men in public unless I"m sure that I'm interested in them and that they are a safe person. I still could get assaulted, but I do my best. The reason I wouldn't "just meet" a man I wasn't sure about is he could be anyone. He could start screaming at m…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 09:03 PM

Yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 08:40 PM

OK. If car accidents were mostly male drivers running over female drivers, we would also have this fear.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 08:04 PM

Cars aren't sentient.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:42 PM

It was the vast majority of the men I interacted with when I used tinder. It was like clockwork. Talk to him long enough to be able to find him on google, then run a search. 9 times out of 10 I found a wife or girlfriend and sent her a screenshot of his profile and our conversation. It ended up being more of a public service than me trying to get dates. I eventually just quit.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:41 PM

"Even if they're brought to trial the law applies to only 1 gender." 995 out of every 1000 rapists walk free and never see one day in jail. Cops don't take any kind of abuse seriously because 40% of cops are abusers themselves. Men and women have a shared problem of cops being belligerently bad at the jobs we pay them a shit ton of money for. Tinder exists to make a profit.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:39 PM

idk google it. seems insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:27 PM

I don't rely on statistics. I rely on my experiences. I share statistics because men do not believe my experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:26 PM

here's an old one: https://www.businessinsider.com/a-lot-of-people-on-tinder-arent-actually-single-2015-5
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:26 PM

What is neurotic? Do you not believe that men abuse, rape, and kill women? 6 women are killed by men every hour: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/11/violence-against-women-femicide-census/
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:18 PM

I have no desire to date the vast majority of men so there is no incentive for me to ask one out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:17 PM

Many men are perfectly comfortable harassing and abusing in public. It’s easier to maintain boundaries before you meet.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:10 PM

Many wimps date. They do not deserve to be abused.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 07:09 PM

I expect if someone asks me out, they are paying. I always bring cash to throw down in case I need to make an exit though.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 06:48 PM

Then you have to balance your precautions against the precautions of women. If you are happy with the current rate of male violence against women and how women act towards men, you don't have to do anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 06:38 PM

tell that to the men crying that they can't get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 06:35 PM

Most solutions aren't perfect. That doesn't mean they aren't very helpful.

They provide a service and are a for profit company. 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 06:34 PM

"Our role as protectors and warriors is a great benefit to the lives of most women, but the side effect is that we can often be very dangerous." I 100% agree. Men being violent is the other side of men doing things that benefit society. Unfortunately for whatever reason, it has gotten out of control and there is an epidemic of male violence against women. This is not made up and it is reasonable for women to want to protect themselves. "The key here is to make sure that women are properly red pi…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 06:22 PM

Because I have nothing to hide and I know based on crime stats it's reasonable to be worried about meeting someone through tinder.

If a guy is a swinger and you find a marriage license, that's obviously not a bad thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:56 PM

I have no issues w consensual ONS. If both people know its a one time thing, go nuts. If a man just wants company for dinner, great. But unless both people know they are using each other, it's gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:55 PM

And I'm just concerned with women being raped and killed.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:54 PM

No, but he can ask. 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:54 PM

What you and Edward Snowden are missing is that a not small number of men on tinder are predators. We know there is an epidemic of male violence against women. We know that women on tinder are regularly raped and killed. It's okay to care about privacy, but is it more important than women's lives? If we can make transparent that a tinder user has a violent charge on their record, how would that not be helpful for everyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:44 PM

Yes, using people is wrong. Men who pump and dump and women who go on dates to get free shit from men should be flagged so that people interacting with them know their reputation.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:39 PM

Trans women are women. No disaster.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:38 PM

I do usually do the background checks myself and I don't need to pay for them bc I am adept at technology. Not all women are and most women in america are not in the position to pay $40 for every guy who wants to take them out. Those women deserve that info and deserve to be safe. It would be nice if you could just go on a tinder date without being worried about your safety but that's not reality and we can't act like it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:37 PM

That's such a red flag. 😳
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:22 PM

Fine to have that opinion but a red flag for women for sure. Never met a guy into privacy who didn't end up having a secret wife or girlfriend.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:16 PM

Run a background check on me. Peep my clean driving record, lack of criminal history, and perfect credit score. 😎💪
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:15 PM

Do you mean Hybristophilia? That's considered a paraphilia.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:12 PM

There is no epidemic of female violence against men, so no, it wouldn't be sexist. It would be a reflection of reality. Tinder also has a much harder problem maintaining women on the app than men, so they have a financial interest in appealing to women more than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:09 PM

"there is no guarantee a background check will protect you from that. " Correct. But it will vet out men who are likely to do that. That doesn't mean it's a safe free for all, it just means you have taken one step towards being safer. "most people who have screwed up have had their life put back together and would never repeat a dumb mistake again" Your opinion goes against the research of people who study abusers. " you only hear about 2% of the people who have offended, re-offending." Do you h…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:03 PM

"Yes but that’s not practical is it ?" Exactly. Supply/demand. Though I very much encourage men to opt out of dating rather than dating women they don't want to date either.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:01 PM

Your words suggest you are comfortable with current rates of male violence against women. "And you think that an automated background check is going to change anything ?" It has absolutely saved my ass. When I find out a guy has a violent record, I block him before I can become a part of that record.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:57 PM

That's fine. I don't want to go out w a guy if he won't tell me where he lives or works. Too many creepers out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:56 PM

Those men are free to not ask women out and make the exact same conditional acceptance when women ask them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:54 PM

Give it just to women then.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:54 PM

"Women can take their precautions for not dating violent men without this needing to happen." Current numbers of male violence against women suggest otherwise. 😐 It's nice that you are comfortable existing in that world but women are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:53 PM

I mean yeah, they aren't just going to assign someone's record to you randomly.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:53 PM

What info don't you want out there?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:52 PM

It's not entitlement when the guy is the one wanting to go out with the woman. She can set the terms of her acceptance.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:51 PM

"it’s 2021. STOP expecting only men to pay for dates." When men are safe and aspirational enough as partners that I want to ask men out, I will pay. Future doesn't look good for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:50 PM

This is just male fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:50 PM

"Then no need to do more." tinder is mostly men the women on tinder don't feel safe going on dates w most men there is an epidemic of male violence against women If you don't want tinder to do anything, it will die. Which is fine w me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:49 PM

I've never seen an OFP show up in the kind of criminal records that are publicly available to search, and I search every man I come into contact with. Maybe none of them have had OFPs but I've seen a lot of unbelievable shit (one almost strangled a woman to dead!) so I would be surprised if none of them did.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:48 PM

exactly! do a background check on me. peep my credit score. 😎💪
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:46 PM

Why do you need privacy when dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:45 PM

If you want to date a woman who has strangled men in the past, be my guest. I'm not willing to date men who have been abusive in the past no matter how much therapy they say they have gotten (none, in most cases).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:44 PM

why do you need privacy on a dating app?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:44 PM

why would you need to be anonymous on a dating app?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:43 PM

most men on tinder are legally married
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:43 PM

A lot of cheaters have a marriage license. Also a lot of cheaters cohab, which you can currently find out if you have their full name and it's not super common.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:42 PM

The need is that not everyone is good at technology/the internet and can run it on their own. It's not dystopian for women to not want to date violent men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:41 PM

"a big tech company gets to automatize access to sensitive information seems pretty bad to me (black mirror kind of bad)." It will weed out the men who are making women leave the app (most men on tinder are secretly married). And keep people safe from dealing w violent offenders. If they don't want to include charges that are *only* drug charges, I support that, but they will need to include violent charges related to drug charges. "they should give you all of the tools to allow you to do it you…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:39 PM

Should be easy for you to find examples then ⏰
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:21 PM

We need numbers to debate this. Less than 1% of rapists go to jail so I don’t understand the question. The answer is just barely anyone ever even makes it to the cops, much less jail. Rape is common, going to jail for rape is rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:15 PM

Who is in jail w he said she said evidence?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:13 PM

Question for women
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:11 PM

No. Many scary boys w rage drive trucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:10 PM

Who is in jail w zero evidence? We need a specific example. My suggestion is teach boys and girls when they are young how to have a plan for if/when they are assaulted in a non scary, age appropriate way. Having to come up w a plan and figure out who to contact after a traumatic event is stupid. We know stress impairs cognitive ability. We should make a plan before we need one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:07 PM

I, like most women, do not “have evidence”. Tinder can ban the guy and keep women safe. Police will do an invasive test and then leave my rape kit to collect mold untested in an evidence locker for a few decades.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:56 PM

What are you under the impression the police are going to do? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:53 PM

Ok. I would use it to screen out men w violent records.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:37 PM

An insane opinion
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:36 PM

What does that have to do with the question? Do you think I want a ONS w a man arrested for strangling a woman? That’s a real thing I found when I searched for a man I met in tinder. Strangulation is widely known as the thing a man does right before he kills you.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:35 PM

I would love this. When my tinder date raped me tinder did nothing. I would love to be able to warn other women.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:23 PM

You think women will choose men w records? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:22 PM

Background checks are a huge value to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 03:22 PM

They are bleeding female users currently for exactly this reason. 🙄

I was assigned a male personal trainer at my gym so I googled him before meeting. His public Facebook page was post after post of fat women and him saying the most hateful and rude things about them. It’s so scary that this man is given access to women. I called and told the gym and got assigned a female trainer. 😐

What is the dif between dupers delight and gloating? Both operate on the premise that the man is taking something from the woman, and his skill is to get her to take a worse deal than he is getting. It's weird. I thought hookups were going to be mutual affection and fun and then you don't talk anymore. It's this whole other fucked up thing.

There's no good reason he wouldn't want it. There's no "potential downside" because I'm a fair person. I've never had a breakup where I was cruel to the other person. Plus I have plenty of money. It's not like I'm planning to marry someone much richer than me.

"it's possible upon breakup for one party to claim that they were in a common law marriage if they want to lay claim to assets." It's entirely possible someone says that. But that's not what the criteria for common law marriage is.

If you're a single parent you are working? Men would not be able to have kids then. Only stupid women will get married and take the huge risk of sacrificing their ability to provide for themselves to give a guy a kid. And if they want a kid on their own, what do they need the guy for other than sperm?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 09:04 PM

THANK YOU. I have literally read every book John Douglas has ever written (the "mindhunter" most our fiction about the FBI is based on). The FBI isn't good at telling whether people are lying, they rely on scaring and manipulating them into confession through intimidating tactics. However I have also personally met a "cold reader" ex conman who shared with me how much he can tell about someone from their body language and it is scary. But I think he has a very rare super talent.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:58 PM

That’s not enough. A quick google is saying that’s not considered common law marriage. The living together for 7 years thing is a myth. It’s more about a couple who has plans to marry and has been postponed.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:39 PM

Nope. It’s not a personal thing. It’s a studied thing. The orgasm gap isn’t controversial, it exists. Communication is a 2 way street. If you don’t know if you are getting your partner off, or you know you’re not, ask (or your a shitty partner). If had guys not be able to cum. 100% of the time I followed up w them and worked on it. /r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 10:26 PM

That's fine. It's okay to be hurt by rejection. It's okay to be upset. It's not okay to be unable to manage your emotions and be rude or worse. (It's also not okay to be rude while rejecting people, unless you need to send a "back off" message because they have been disrespectful).

Even if she is attracted to the man. His attention means nothing. Many men will sleep with women and date women they don't actually like. He will give her attention so that she has sex with him, not because he likes her. Men's attention is an unreliable measure of anything, which is why it has no value.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 09:26 PM
8

That's fine but don't make it our problem. People's value has nothing to do with how attracted to them you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 09:10 PM
1

No one is wondering why men get pissed off when they get rejected.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 09:10 PM
2

No? My point is attention from men isn't flattering to women because it means nothing. Even men sleeping with you means nothing. A man fucked a dead rat on tiktok last week. The only thing that has any meaning is how men act over a long period of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 09:08 PM
1

OK. That's a him problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 08:30 PM

I don't understand what you are saying. Men are assigning these numbers to women based on their "value" to men. Men approaching women and sleeping with them is what men value. Men don't value love/relationships and male attention almost never means they love you in a supportive long term relationship sense. It's only useful to talk about men wanting sex bc it's so rare they want anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 08:29 PM
1

🥴doesn't seem like it. I'm 35. I do suspect I will meet someone in 10+ years (not before, as you can tell I am not open to it) but I really have just been too exposed to male depravity to think like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 07:11 PM

It's an important lesson for women to learn. Men's actions over a long period of time >>>> male sexual desire/words/attraction which is bipolar and has little to do w the woman
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/21 07:02 PM

Men have agency. Men choose to abuse and damage women. Why is that okay with you? "no one owes them a nice boyfriend to fix their issues in life," Everyone agrees with you. Everyone. EVERYONE agrees with you. No one is owed a partner. men should not abuse and damage women because it is wrong to abuse and damage people. People have a right to not want to be abused. 100%. Collateral damage. When I was younger I gave men tons of chances. I learned that it is not worth the risk for me. "The other side to that is that men who are good at deliberately misrepresenting themselves get to fly under the radar" That's not the "other side" that's the main problem. Just making a point how Women will choose a guy no matter how abusive he will as long he attractive. Yes. Just like monkeys clung to the barb wire mommies. Because they think they are experiencing an act of intimacy and the guy cares bout them at least as much as you care about a friend you're not close with. That's no longer part of hooking up. Men treat women they have sex with worse than they would treat a stranger on the street. I'm not leaving my house for a date unless the guy is pursuing me hard, planing a nice date, and offering monogamy. 🤷‍♀️ There's just nothing else that would make me want to.

I agree w you. I think we're about to enter a period where men and women are more separate than ever. 80% of men will be sexless and mostly chads and young women will be fucking. After women realize chads are lying to them and they are all the same, they will lose interest in men and age out of dating/sleeping with men. What is the upside for a woman being non-mono vs staying single? Are women really gonna cohabitate w men, clean up after them, have (probably orgasm less) sex w them, give them children for.... what? I grew up lower to upper middle class and we had a cleaning lady at all income levels so I did not think it was a big deal. They were both very vocally against it even though we were just at the beginning stages of dat…

There are a lot of men who don’t want to be providers just remember that. I believe most men don't want to be providers. I don't think most men realize that if they aren't providers they have to do something else for women because women still do most of cooking/cleaning/childcare if that's your thing/whatever, now in addition to supporting themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 11:18 PM

So you think less women are financially independent now or are you just frustrated progress is slow?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 10:58 PM

Wtf are you talking about? I’m the first woman in my family who has not had to get married to support myself. It is a v recent change and it is still socially not super accepted to be an unmarried career woman. People love to hate on it. Idgaf about my “career” I just like being able to have whatever boundaries I want w men.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 10:41 PM

It is the worst thing to happen to many men. They used to be assigned a woman to care for and were pretty much left alone to do whatever they wanted to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 09:51 PM
13

For me as a woman, it means be financially independent bc there is no guarantee, no matter what I look or act like (bc I can see women who look or act like I would ideally, who are also cheated on or abused), I will find a man who wants to treat me well forever. When you are financially independent, you have options. This doesn't mean more men want a financially independent woman, again, women of all kinds are cheated on and abused, there is no guarantee, but you can choose between what they are…

IDK my experience before OLD was that men don't ask women out much. As I got older I got asked out a lot more (in person and OLD) which is weird bc I gained weight and got older.

Yes. And when you spend more time thinking about it, that’s the right decision. If he’s hesitant at all to believe a friend when she talks about being abused he is a misogynist. Full stop. ✋ there is no reason to question your friend when she needs support. It’s a private conversation not a court of law. Less than 1% of rapists go to jail for 1 day. Men are more likely to be raped by other men than accused of rape. There is no reason to side with rapists and abusers.

What can you do to make yourself feel safe? For me, it’s really nice to know that by rule, I will never be alone w a man again unless I trust him first. I also feel better bc I have a huge mean guard dog. Also, I block any guy who defends abusers. I feel 100% safer giving myself permission to group them together and avoid everyone who isn’t empathetic and supportive. Would taking a self defense class or getting a dog help? Have you tried therapy? I’m so sorry you have to deal w this 😢

Every single person has a place in their community, has a valuable job to do, and is treated w dignity and respect. Everyone is supported in being the best version of themselves, regardless of gender. Predators are punished, not victims. People are allowed to expect to feel safe in most places, not told they are babies for having real concerns. Wholesome examples of masculinity and femininity from people of all walks of life. Everyone gets a puppy.

I guess I don't understand what the problem is then. Men swipe on everyone bc they don't get many matches. If men got a lot of matches, they would only swipe on the most attractive women, even if a woman has a good personality. I'm not on OLD because it's just not really possible to sort through people and find good matches, but maybe one day there will be a better app that helps people find matches based on overall quality.

Yes. I think we will get a lot farther if we all agree bad behavior is bad and everyone should aim to treat people well. And everyone who is able to should be concerned about their financial independence.

I think if we could communicate a better understanding of being a woman in a relationship vs being a man in a relationship these people would be less jealous. If you're an unattractive woman, you can still get in a relationship, but it's likely that person is going to treat you more like a pet they are considering keeping than a human person they are considering partnering with. Especially when it comes to being financially dependent on someone, a lot of "being in a relationship" that single peo…

You think women think ugly men are in the top 20% of men by looks? A woman walks into a room w 10 men, sees that 7 of them are not attractive to her, calls the 2nd hottest one "ugly" but still considers him one of the 2 hot people in the room?

Those 80% of women go for 20% of men according to you. How are ugly men getting into that 20%? You think women think the top 20% of men are "ugly guys?"

Anyone who doesn't think this is true needs to define what a chad is. Are chads the hottest/most successful 20% of men? Or are chads guys w social skills/charm that get 80% of women?

"They have the autonomy to leave relationships where they aren't satisfied." Many people are in abusive relationships. They are very common. Why don't we ask the guy why he is holding someone hostage? Why doesn't he let her leave? Why do we view it as morally right that a guy can manipulate a woman into staying? In every other area of life we recognize duress in consent and use it as a legitimate reason why consent is not consent. An employer treating an employee this way would lose a lawsuit. A…

I don't think it's just on them to "grow a spine" i think it's also wrong to use someone if you can see they are having difficulty setting boundaries. There's two people in a relationship. Yes, and the women in those relationships suffer lifetime financial setbacks because of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 05:59 PM
3

Many women sacrifice their income potential for men. If a guy needs support, she will do less in her life so she can be there for him. Women will move for men, most men will not move for women. Children affect women's earning potential negatively, but men's earning potential positively. If you have an equal relationship where you get as much as you give, good for you! I was just explaining why that might not be the case for many other couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 05:56 PM

You were giving him wife duties before marriage. Not every woman is comfortable doing that bc of the opportunity costs like sacrificing your income for someone if you are accommodating them to that level already or having kids with them, or just being so emotionally invested before they've committed to you and could leave you at any time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 05:39 PM

Not if you're a woman who wants to have kids. You're a fucking idiot if you have kids with someone you aren't married to on purpose. You're tanking your financial future while accepting responsibility for way more expenses.

I think a lot of people are just immature and steamroll their partner. If you have two people concerned about each other's needs, you're going to have a lot better chance of enjoying a healthy relationship. I don't think most people do that, though. Dating is opt in bc you are trying to vet out bad partners. You want to make sure you are getting rid of people who are bad for you. Marriage is when you are satisfied with your vetting and you decide to be on the same team forever. Then you can prio…

"If men did as you suggested en masse, we’d probably see female infidelity rates drop significantly." I don't think so. I think women probably cheat more for attention or because they don't take their relationship seriously than for quality sex. I think pre-marriage infidelity rates are about even, with more men cheating after marriage.

I am sure 100% of those women would rather be having passionate, loving sex with their partner than unwanted sex to keep the relationship alive. Why aren't men more willing to provide that kind of sex if they love sex so much? Why aren't they having unwanted passionate sex so that their wife doesn't cheat? Men will cheat on you whether you fuck them or not.

I wouldn't call it sexual attraction, but yes young women are beautiful and interesting. I think more than that, though, it's those women's inexperience that appeals to men. Most young girls weren't taught to set boundaries or that their needs should be met in a relationship. Those are things you learn as you age, which is why men resent women aging. They can't manipulate us anymore.

yes its one those things where you just don't want to be an outlier but i know other women have different experiences and it's all so hard to say because we are never comparing apples to apples. I have no idea what inches I have slept with. I find gyno visits to be extremely painful as well. Oh also, is your vagina different sizes during different times of the month and different stages of arousal? bc i think that feels true based on what we know about bodies (blood pressure, weight, temperature…

If you think you need to lose weight to get a great boyfriend, look at how thin women talk about the men they date. If you think you need to be more beautiful, have better teeth, bigger boobs/ass, whatever, look at how women with those attributes talk about men. There is no set of rules women can play by to be respected by men, but they will always blame their behavior on women not following the rules.

Why would you be in a relationship without sex? That's just friendship. "you're wrong about ED and porn connection. It's a myth." Just because you're desperate to keep watching it doesn't mean it's a myth. Men existed for thousands of years without porn and managed to get off. If it's harming your relationship, it's worth taking a break and seeing if there is a change in your arousal. If it doesn't make an impact, see a doctor.

If you have ed the first thing you should do is stop watching porn and if that doesn't work see a doctor, not assume you are unable to satisfy your partner so they have to use plastic toys instead of having skin to skin contact with you, which is the whole point of sex/relationships. That's selfish. Sorry. I can use toys by myself. I don't see the point of sex if it's just me and an audience and plastic toys. Yuck. If other options are exhausted and it's genuinely the only way he can get you off…

😂😂😂 OK what if instead of giving you blow jobs your girlfriend moved the fleshlight up and down for you? Does she care about you more or less than the girlfriend trying different oral techniques with her actual mouth?

Yeah if they are doing it for the ego boost and not to pleasure you. If I gave my bf a fleshlight instead of giving him head, so that i could brag about how I get him off, that's selfish.

His relaxed attitude about his ED was such a huge turnoff Can agree I have experienced this too. Sex toys were the first thing they wanted to try instead of thinking about WHY they have ED (porn) or trying other ways to pleasure me. It's so selfish and gross.

I hate using sex toys with men. Maybe in a long term relationship but the men who have tried to introduce them have tried to introduce them instead of trying literally any way to pleasure me with their hands, mouth, or dick first. I've been in therapy for 4 years. Getting perspective from other people is helpful. So a relationship with someone who is using you for sex and doesn't care about you is enviable? That's legit worse than being left alone. You might not think so, but thats bc when men have sex they have orgasms 99% of the time. Instead of being used for sex, imagine being used for cuddles and never getting off and having blue balls on top of being in a relationship with someone who doesn't love you.

All of these guys I had pleasant convos w on OLD before meeting them. One guy introduced himself to me as a "bad boy" and it was so confusing why he thought that would be a good thing. I unmatched. If they weren't nice, I wouldn't feel safe to meet them or feel like they were a "real" person I could relate to. I don't understand how you can be mean to someone on an app and the girl feels safe to come meet you. But I guess it happens all the time.

I know y'all say that constantly so it must be true but I have never had a guy ask me out that I have rejected bc he was "too nice". Nice is one of the #1 things I look for. "The fact that women have a passive dating role and men have an active one creates an automatic bent towards the success of arrogant and unempathetic males." Women can't fix this though. If you approach a guy, he will likely say yes and be with you for as long as he can, regardless of whether or not he sees you as relationship material. Men will not say no if they are not interested. They will use you for sex and companionship until a better opportunity comes along.

I did find them boring and nice. Nice is one of the main reasons I saw most of these men a second time. People put on a show and then change after you are hooked. I've hooked up w 2 chads who were "exciting" and didn't come off like a nice, average guy. I have no hard feelings because they presented themselves the way they were. They disclosed they weren't looking for a relationships and so my feelings weren't hurt when it was a fun one time thing.

I don’t think it’s about men being bad at sex. I think all our ideas about “what sex is” focuses on male pleasure so female pleasure is an after thought. Coupled with widespread porn use so men aren’t doing curious exploration w a partner but just doing things they saw in porn. Plus as a woman I go down on all my partners and like I said that is not common for men to do.

how do people gather any info about sex? surveys and studies. I'd be really surprised if your gfs had a good experience having lots of casual sex because that's the worst kind of sex orgasm-wise for women even if it takes awhile to put it together bc the cultural narrative is more some men are good at sex and some men are bad, not that sex as a whole in our culture is focused on male pleasure so women are less likely to orgasm in all kinds of relationships with men. Poly men is one of the handful of reasons why I retired from dating. It's just too much for too little. Most of OLD is poly and married men. There is little research. There is not no research. We know a lot about women's biology and orgasms. You should read this book: https://www.amazon.com/Come-You-Are-Surprising-Transform/dp/1476762090/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=come+as+you+are&qid=1614027580&sr=8-1 "Obviously we can't compare trans women orgasms to cis women's, or trans men's to cis men's - but we know that when their biology changed after surgery and hormones, so did their orgasms." Have you compared this w trans people who did…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/21 09:00 PM

But the hormones don't change your internal biology? I'm not saying they don't have better orgasms when their quality of life increases following SRS. Trans men say they have more intense orgasms after transitioning too. I'm saying trans women don't have the same orgasms natal women have because even with SRS they don't have the same biological process that natal women have.

Because I know for me attraction develops with the relationship, I don't use stupid standards like "over 6'".

But an orgasm isn't a "feeling" it's a biological process. Not all trans people change their biology. So I kinda feel this is junk science.

Can you tell me how trans people relate to this? PLUS if i have an orgasm, its pretty easy for me to have 2 more in quick succession if he keeps doing what he is doing.

Got it. I didn't realize doctors counseled people to consider it permanent. "plenty of women are scared of getting pregnant but dont do anything about it" Different if they lecture the guy about "trapping" them and then insist on no condoms.

Yeah, but if I were a 20-year-old dude that didn't want kids until my late 30s, wouldn't it be worth having a reversible procedure for a decade and a half+ of NEVER having to worry about it? This is just such a weird topic. Men are so afraid of it, but so many men don't want to use condoms. My r*pist actually told me he was really afraid of me getting pregnant. I told him no sex without a condom and then he forced himself on me and came inside me, knowing I'm not on bc. Like, he couldn't have be…

Many men take me on dates and fuck me and their attraction is real and I feel it. We have romantic sex and date but later I learn they have a girlfriend or are otherwise only fulfilling a sexual urge. I don't know how I'm supposed to know this ahead of time, but PPD men love to blame me for not knowing men are using me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/21 07:59 PM

It does but it affects men and women. Men just tend to think of their emotions as not emotions. I took CBT to help me learn how to separate thoughts and feelings. It was really helpful. And that's 10 years after i got a degree in philosophy, so I knew what makes a good rational argument already.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/21 07:57 PM

As a not hot woman, I hate fucking up because I have anxiety that men will resent me because they will feel pressured to help but they won't want to. I never ask for help irl. When I fuck up I am super hard on myself. This is just classic anxious attachment stuff lol.

Men do everything for validation from other men. This is why the socially accepted version of a beautiful woman is more important to men than what men are actually attracted to. Many men find big women sexually attractive but it doesn't matter because they are not socially attractive to their boys.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/21 07:48 PM

Think about your needs. You should not compromise on your needs. But you can compromise on the specific ways you fulfill that need. ex: "I need to be attracted to my partner" is a non-negotiable. "I need my partner to be over 6'" is a standard that you can compromise on.

I support sex workers. They get to decide what’s best for them. Just like obese people might not be healthy, but are adults and can make their own decisions. It’s likely either a medical condition or self-harm that leads to people being obese. It’s not ideal but people need to be allowed to live their lives.

You have this view that can't be wrong because when I tell you I have experienced it not being right in real life not just what I think in my head, you gaslight me about it. Y'all think men are good because you think yourselves are good men but you are exactly the men we are afraid of who will gaslight us instead of protecting us.

It doesn't sound true to me so I'm asking for an example so I can better try it on. A husband leaving a wife because she gets sick (common scenario) is not someone who "loves" his wife. If you get rich and resent your wife, I'm gonna also guess you don't love her and the money is allowing you to be honest with yourself.

"From experience I know most men dont want to feel pressured into a relationship almost in the same way women dont want to feel pressured into sex" Please don't say this to women. If you don't want to be in a relationship, you can say no. Your "no" should be respected but its also a convo that can take place over text or out in public somewhere. It is absolutely not close to being similar to being alone with someone bigger than you who is begging you for an immediate action. Men aren't scared fo…

"I know two men in my life right now who would make great boyfriends" I didn't say women have dated your friends, but that womens general experiences with all kinds of men are bad. "“Chads” have sucked up all the oxygen in modern dating today" I'm in rad fem circles so it could just be my circle but it does feel like bc of the men who ARE mistreating women, access to women is about to get shut down for everyone who isn't simping hard.

But in relation to leading someone on. How do you define it? It can be very small things like when a guy is asked "what are you looking for" and he obscures that he knows at that point he does not want a relationship or he does not want a relationship with that woman. Anything like this where he is manipulating the truth to obscure his real intentions while the other person is genuinely asking questions to see if they should escalate to the next level. "Acting like all players are inherently liars is a cope plain and simple." Some men are charming and get a lot of women and ONS because they are fun to hang out with and sexy. Some men rack up a body count bc they regularly go after drunk women, pressure women for sex, or lead women on.

That's exactly my question. Men don't have a disposable supply of women but still treat women as disposable. Men on apps, who famously aren't getting many matches, usually said something disgusting to me when we matched or sent dick pics or just generally put no effort into the convo until I unmatch.

"So women are constantly getting raped and abused?" Yes. Welcome to conversation. "So, women are constantly afraid that the man they're with is going to rape or abuse them?" Usually just the first date or two. "Why do you even have anything to do with any man then?" IDK I quit dating because I can't answer that question. "YOU PICKED THOSE MEN, so I don't know what to tell you." You should say "stop picking men".
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:19 PM

right but everyone agrees victimized people have low self-esteem. And having low self-esteem isn't a bad thing or an insult. Just like checking your blood pressure and if its too high or low, you need to adjust your lifestyle or get a medical intervention.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:14 PM

Right. Most people aren't narcissists though. That and APD are exceptions to normal human behavior. I think abusers are normal. It's too common for it to only be people w personality disorders.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:10 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:09 PM

"rape and abuse are not "women's dating problems". Those are crimes." I mean its literally a problem that every woman has while dating. Either rape or the fear of rape or abuse. It's so common it's normal to talk about meeting in public on OLD for safety reasons. "No one is asking you to fuck men you don't want to fuck, so just put down that strawman." Ok explain to me how you think women should be helping men with their dating problems then that has nothing to do with us sleeping with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:05 PM

I mean if a random stranger is doing something nice for you its weird. If your boyfriend does something nice for you, it's a normal relationship and you don't treat him bad.

Are you a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:03 PM

"How someone treats someone regularly is TOTALLY different from treating someone differently because of a current mood/situation." Every time you "treat" someone in a way, you are in a mood/situation. Lots of people are chronically crabby because they hate their lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:03 PM
1

"Is your argument that all people think and behave exactly the same, regardless of background or personality?" Not at all. It's that men who treat women bad probably treat those women the same as they treat themselves. So the woman perceives she is being mistreated and the man perceives that he is treating her the way he treats himself so it's fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 09:01 PM

I would say that person doesn't have good self esteem if they are doing that, people lashing out can look like they think highly of themselves but it's not real confidence. If they didn't have some kind of scarcity mentality/insecurity, they wouldn't be triggered enough to be shitty to someone.

There's no argument you can make for women being eugenicists that changes when they pick you. If this is true, this is a static role women have played since time started, which has nothing to do w modern women.

Yes. When I feel bad about being single I just need to visit relationship subs to remind myself what being in a real relationship is like. There's a reason marriage was invented by men. I do think single women are treated better in the workplace though. Yup, got a useless liberal arts degree had no idea I was supposed to provide for myself no one taught me about wealth I had financial anxiety for a decade. Everyone needs to be taught basics of how to provide for yourself as they reach adulthood. It was weirdly hard for me to find good information about what kinds of jobs I would find, what my future expenses vs pay would be, what salaries were like after taxes and withholding, what my student loans would cost monthly in the future, etc. this in…

I think you misunderstood my comment. I'm not saying ideals are wrong, I'm saying men treat their ideal woman poorly, too. You might think you need to lose weight to please men, but men treat instagram models poorly too. It's good to know so you can figure out what you want to do to live your best life on your own terms instead of putting years into trying to please someone only to discover it doesn't change anything.

The reason it took me so long to stop dating men was I really thought they knew something I didn't. I thought I was oversensitive and asking for too much, because that's what men told me. I thought all my boyfriends were sex-deprived by their withholding ex girlfriends even though I experienced first hand that 95% of them did not do oral sex the way women (me) do blow jobs. Now that I have more confidence and believe my experiences are real, I can see how these men are abusers. They are looking …

No matter what men say their ideal behavior for a woman is, if you look at women who acts that way you will find them ridiculed by men, called sluts/fat/ugly/old/etc. There is no decision you can make that will keep you safe from this so you should decide what is important to you, and live that way.

"Women are offering a service for resources/services." No they aren't. Sex workers consent to having sex with you in exchange for money. No sex worker thinks its rude to be called a sex worker. "we also want kids and whatnot too." I don't believe this one. If men wanted kids they would spend time with the kids they already have. Women have sex to get married, it's the bait to catch a fish. Men only talk to women to get sex. If they just liked women, they wouldn't even think about sex. They care about women because they care about sex.

I love routine and I've never had my sex drive go down bc of familiarity. Generally in the beginning the guy romances you and then kinda says he only did that for sex and doesn't want to do it in a relationship so the sex stops/you break up.

No he wouldn't. There is literally no way a rp guy would get me out of my house and on a date w him, esp during a pandemic. " he would superficially meet all of your requirements" My requirements aren't superficial, so again, no he wouldn't. RP men cannot pass for human. Your friend sounds like a predator.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:32 PM
2

What I'm filtering out. RP men don't demonstrate interest in a woman, at least not without also negging her.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:28 PM
3

He's not worth me allowing into my life. That's just me making decisions based on risk/reward, not commenting on his worth as a human being. Make sense now?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:27 PM
1

Maybe you haven't made your partner feel safe to be vulnerable and honest with you. I have told men what's helpful for me, and I have faked orgasms. If I have no interest in having sex w the guy in the future or I am otherwise disassociated/not present in the relationship, I'm not going to be teaching him how to be a better lover. That's more wife duties.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:19 PM
4

"Yes, you conflate their worth with whether or not they want you." No. Not at all. They have dignity and worth because they are a human being. It has nothing to do with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:17 PM
8

They are perfectly "good enough". They just aren't for me. Unlike red pill men, I don't conflate a person's worth with whether or not I personally want to fuck them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:09 PM

"women" is a large group. There are some women who say one thing while other women do another. Yes, you should focus on the women that do what you are looking for in a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 08:03 PM
4

Yup. Seems like an easy enough fix though. When women have sex w other women they have orgasms. So it’s not biological. Maybe if men were making women cum, those women would want to have sex more.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:58 PM
2

So again, men hear women say something, disbelieve them, and then call them liars.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:53 PM

But I'm only "losing" out on a RP man. I don't consider that a loss.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:46 PM

I didn't really think about it. I just thought, is he attractive or not, not really noticing/paying attention to men's hairline in particular. That doesn't mean balding men aren't considered less attractive, just that i never paid attention to baldness in particular. Tom Collichio is a sex symbol in the culinary world and he is super bald: https://www.google.com/search?q=tom+colicchio&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjUxtmf0uzuAhWFLn0KHfKvBP0Q_AUoAnoECBMQBA&biw=1199&bih=621

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:28 PM

It's not "wrong" lmao. It depends on the relationship. If he has asked her to please leave him alone, she should respect his boundary. If they are friends, that's a nice sentiment. It's his decision if talking to you violates the trust of his LTR. I def would not talk to an ex while in a relationship out of respect for my man.

Yes that's extremely scary and rapey.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:16 PM

Marriage isn't the determination of success here. Many, many women are unhappy and lonely in their marriages. My goal is to avoid that whether I avoid it by finding a great partner or by staying single.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 07:12 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/21 06:50 PM

Being slow to anger, being who you are regardless of what others think, treating all people (especially those others don't treat with respect) with respect, playing by the rules/encouraging fairness, facing challenges head on and being able to communicate about them rather than running away. No, a man has intrinsic worth as a human being. His worth is not affected by whether I am attracted to him or not. When I am looking for a partner, I want someone who wants me specifically. Many men will lie about being interested in me in order to get sex or some other resource from me. Vetting for actual interest in me is very important.
