I understand; my comment wasn't meant to denigrate the bot, but to provide the readers with an accurate tldr so that they would not be misinformed.
/r/MensRights01/05/15 12:28 AM

The tldr given by autotldr is misleading (read the whole article to find out why). Here is a better tldr: With the exception of male economists, faculty of both genders in all of the STEM fields studied showed a 2 to 1 preference for hiring women over men with the exact same skillset. Female faculty also preferred to hire divorced women over married men, while male faculty preferred to hire women who had taken paternity leave over those who had not. The study used a survey that had a 34% respons…

Comic #1 is nice for posting on imageboards or forums to make a point. It was a good idea to put a link to the website at the bottom, although the comics themselves do not yet seem to be easy to find once a visitor gets to the homepage.

I think a distinction needs to be made between douchebags and men who care about other men by default. I really believe we need to come up with a term for ourselves, because the douchebags' predisposition to compete against other men (often for the sake of women) makes it impossible to bring men together simply on account of them being men. If there were a distinct word for men with inherent kindness and familial love towards other men, good men could start adopting that term and using it to for…

I know it's not a big deal, but it's a nice change of pace from past commercials portraying men as buffoons.
/r/MensRights21/11/14 10:57 PM

One problem with this video is that the shirt he was wearing, because of its pointed cut, might make him look gay. He was receiving compliments from gay men as well as women, so there's a question of whether the female responses were cherry-picked from a set of predominantly male responses. Still, unless the video was a hoax, we can see that a few women did compliment him. EDIT: To all the downvoters, you are downvoting for disagreeing. Think about whether this is a wise course of action.

Thank you for stating this. There are a lot of scumbags who not only claim that these evil actions are women's "rights", but engage in verbal assaults towards you for condemning them.

Rwanda scores high on the artificial measure of "representation" which is a complete nonsense statistic but that's all feminists have of course. Because 80% of it's men were murdered a few years back Rwanda is unique in the world having a majority of female legislators. The perfect country for feminists is the one where almost all men have been exterminated. If you refer to the Rwandan genocide, the Hutu were apparently the majority, while the Tutsi, who were victims of the genocide, were a mino…

Take Stilgar1973's advice. As for her luring you back in, you should be the one with authority over your own decisions, not her, and you should be making these decisions for your own sake, not for hers.

You're absolutely right, and I also dislike the incorrect use of the word 'equality', but the two of us are probably used to the strict (mathematical) definition of the term, whereas more people tend to use the term in a far more loose sense.

This is partly a story of how women bite the hand that feeds them and bring themselves, as well as each other, to ruin in the process. The following situation has probably been going on for thousands of years. Even though 70% of all reproductive diseases are due to women's bad menstrual habits, none of the inventor's sisters wanted to help in preventing this problem; the female medical students (whom "Not even college boys can go near") didn't bother to keep track of their results (presumably be…

Right now, helping other men is a more genuine form of altruism than helping people as a whole, because people in general are less interested in helping men than helping people as a whole.

Harriet said: 6,000 members, 1,000 affiliates. This is presumably the number of affilliated people, certainly not the number of affiliated organizations. If you look at their records from 1967, they had exactly 8 affiliates. Eight. One of them was the pedophile organization. I say this based on a photo of the 1967 records in this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2566273/How-longer-paedophilia-apologists-stay-silent-Even-Left-demands-answers-senior-Labour-trio.html Harriet Harman …

This is what a female feminist scumbag said to Karen Straughan when she described the Skimmington Ride, a public ordeal that abused husbands were exposed to for having allowed themselves to be abused. "Well, I think there are several issues here. I noticed the word 'henpecked', and I think that, as an activist, certainly, words are our best tools in our arsenal of persuasion. Everywhere in the UK apart from London, there are people called "police and crime commissioners" whom the public periodically votes in on the premise that they would oversee the police officers and deal with them if they become a problem. It seems to be an effective system. The number of "deaths" (really murders) in police custody are about the same in London as in the rest of the UK combined, simply because London does not have a publicly accountable police and crime commissioner to deal with p…

Although MGTOW Forums is a webforum (and a hostile one at that), MGTOW as a whole is a movement and life philosophy that tends not to have this sort of hostility. Men who consider themselves Men Going Their Own Way have decided that marriage is a bad idea because of both the current divorce laws and women's inherent motivations. MGTOW recognize that men do not owe anything to women or the state, and act accordingly by ensuring they spend their money and labour only on the people who genuinely de…

The interesting thing is that this poster stands out as having been written by people with no real sense of morality. They try to use words that inspire a sense of honour and duty, but come off as bureaucrats seeking to outline a set of regulations.

How women treat men during courtship, what motivates them to seek various relationships with various kinds of men etc are very important issues that should not be dismissed or reduced to the idea of sex, either. It's important for every man to be able to make an informed choice as to which women he should support, which he should oppose and which he should not care about. If people like mr Monroe ever do manage to stifle all criticism of women, then good men will wind up supporting evil women, u…

It's important to realize that whenever manginas like Randall Munroe engage in nice-guy shaming, they are essentially flinging gratuitous insults at men whom women treat badly, simply because these manginas know they can get away with it. In medieval times, he may have very well been one of those people who strapped abused husbands to donkeys and paraded them around town to humiliate them. I would argue we should all adopt an attitude towards him that reflects this.

I agree, particularly given that he apparently recovered his plane from a nose-dive after being knocked unconscious due to a headshot, but all his opponents were flying in similarly crude aircraft. 1,000+ orcs / aliens / enemy soldiers per game is still extremely far beyond that, and we all know very few players can do a whole run-through without dying at least once.
/r/MensRights27/01/14 12:33 PM

It's absurd that in many single-player games, the protagonist takes down hordes of enemies single-handedly. Even the Red Baron, the highest-ranking pilot in World War 1, died after 80 victories.

People use the term "complementarian", as opposed to "egalitarian", to describe the marriages these women want. I am not sure how these women call themselves - a few have used the term "submissive". Otherwise, supportive women? Helpers / helpmates?

From the article: Infertility is defined as a lack of pregnancy in the 12 months prior to survey, despite having had unprotected sexual intercourse in each of those months with the same husband or partner. Impaired fecundity is defined as physical difficulty in either getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to live birth. "women ages 15-44 with impaired fecundity" and "married women ages 15-44 that are infertile" are two different things that cannot simply be added up. For starters, one of the …

I disagree on this. By stating "men's rights as equals", you are stating that you intend to work on men's rights issues from a leftist egalitarian perspective. This is fine, as there are others who work on men's rights issues from different perspectives, and by clearly stating your affiliations, you are ensuring that no one is misled about your intent.

No, because "blue" is not a moral trait. I will most certainly be opposed to people for the evil traits that they have been born with, particularly when their lack of good character traits prevents them from overcoming these evil traits. After all, the evil traits in question inevitably determine these people to carry out evil actions throughout their lives - how could I not be opposed to them? I understand your position, however. "evil" and "good" are not genetic traits; genetic traits can, however, predispose and perhaps even determine an individual to be good or evil. In what way does [hypergamy] predispose them to be attracted to evil men and unattracted to good men? Among other reasons, hypergamy predisposes women to be attracted to evil men because good men apply morals universally rather than bearing double standards for men and women. If a woman refuses to marry (etc) anyone who is not her superior, she has taken …

I agree that this is what seems to motivate some nice guys (no scare quotes here), but this is not the whole picture by any means. There are plenty of men (myself included) who are nice guys for moral reasons (wanting to do objective good rather than inflate our heads with "self-esteem"), and who also take issue with women's hypergamy for moral reasons. I ephasize this partly because, while I support your statement and am sure there are men out there who would benefit from it (e.g. GlacierRider …

I once spoke to a woman who described "her friend to whom she can come crying at 4 AM for consolation". She casually mentioned how he was in love with her, but how she will never reciprocate his love (though, obviously, she would still use him as an emotional tampon given the opportunity). Later, she gave me a link to her blog, which talked about her wild escapade to the seaside with a man she had just met while smoking at a bar. She has probably experienced a great deal of abuse. If I were in her place, I would start asking myself about the men who took bullets for their girlfriends during the Colorado film theatre shootings last year, or the countless other men who died defending women throughout history. Abusers are, as a rule, unwilling to die for the people they abuse. It's noteworthy that women instinctively seek men to protect them; this is an aspect of female hypergamy. From the second wikipedia article I linked to: Today, "trickle-down economics" is most closely identified with the economic policies known as "Reaganomics" or laissez-faire. David Stockman, who as Reagan's budget director championed these cuts at first but then became skeptical of them, told journalist William Greider that the "supply-side economics" is the trickle-down idea: "It's kind of hard to sell 'trickle down,' so the supply-side formula was the only way to get a tax policy that was reall…

"The mask you live in" is, as usual, a form of projection. Masculinity is made up of actions and intents, whereas femininity is made up of appearances. (If you disagree, tell me with a straight face that feminine people, including feminine men, buy fewer clothes and wear less makeup for the sake of appearances than masculine people, including masculine women.)

For what it's worth, I respect your position and am neither left-wing nor right-wing. One thing that people who get tangled in politics don't realize is that different kinds of people can come together into incompatible yet perfectly functional communities, and rather than fight each other to establish laws and customs for both camps, they should simply acknowledge their differences and strive to establish them for their own camp.

Human "ethical" issues regarding embryo research are currently a major problem and need to be dealt with by anyone who wants to secure reproductive freedom for men. This is very much a topic of activism for us. Also, it's important to stress that the original research is old. It's not a no-brainer. You would expect the wife to become more considerate to the husband and sympathetic to his needs, now that he has no means to disagree with her. Instead, she becomes more critical of him, even as she notices his increasing state of depression over the course of days. I'm interested in community-building (coming together with people who possess a fundamental motivation to do certain things), not social change (manipulating people's own motivations to get them to do these things for you). Community-building is enduring and genuinely beneficial to all those taking part in it; "social change" inevitably rebounds once the people you've convinced find ways around your social pressure to get what they want.

If the argument "value men and masculinity because it benefits men" is not persuasive enough to some people (notably, women), I say good riddance to them. The kinds of people who need to be convinced that there's an incentive for them in helping men out are not worth convincing in the first place.

I liked what he was saying until he started throwing around 'man up' shaming language, saying you should 'be a better man' so as not to disgust the precious woman. What if the precious woman is herself unappealing for her disdain of your intent to lean on her? A real bond requires both individuals to lean on each other; as women want to lean on men but not be leaned upon by men, that makes them hypocrites, and I don't want any hypocrites leaning on me.

The red-haired woman on video is Big Red, the same woman who harassed a group of men's rights activists in Toronto. Here's one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWuLVtH6vgM As for the preacher, she was shouting profanities at him before and after he was sprayed with a water bottle by one of her friends. The fact that you don't like the man doesn't change the fact that Big Red was, indeed, harassing him. This video illustrates her character and helps people understand the mentality of othe…

Check out one of her other songs, "You should be stronger than me". A very good example of female nature to show to people. Incidentally, when a man says he will only be friends with men of higher status than himself, he is a scumbag and needs to be dealt with accordingly. Likewise for a woman who will only want to start a family with a man who is stronger than she is; she needs to be dealt with accordingly.

I once thought (from what women used to tell me) that women were my equals, i.e. that they had as much motivation to bond with adult men as men had to bond with adult women. I thought they were as committed to contributing to their spouses and children as men were. Then I learned from actual data that women make up two thirds of those who file for divorce, that they initiate teenage breakups nine times out of ten, that they regard four fifths of men as below average when it comes to their qualit…

They suggested he was sexually inadequate, questioned the size of his penis, his masculinity, his ability to attract women and even the smell of his breath. Almost two decades later feminist writer Julie Bu…

Which is exactly why they should be spared from being publicly outed as having been molested. When people learn about the troubles you have gone through, they become more sympathetic towards you. You should read a book called "the woman racket", by British whistleblower Steve Moxon. He describes feminism as a collusion between women and high-status men to exploit low-status men. In any event, believe me when I say that it doesn't matter how tall, handsome, intelligent or good-natured you are. Women do not have a desire to treat you as an equal in terms of benefiting you as much as you benefit them. Instead, they have a parasitic desire to infest powerful, influential men in order to harv…

It's an issue of abuse by a woman against a man. As abuse by women against men is roughly as frequent as abuse by men against women, it's an instance of a problem that men's rights are meant to address. People really need to take such situations, in which the victim enables the abuser, very seriously due to the great risk under which the victim puts both themselves and their children.

If you look at his facial expression, you'll notice that he is very weak and submissive. I am not saying this as an insult or out of contempt. I am saying this because it is a vulnerability that will prevent him from taking action against his abuser until or unless he addresses it. There are two kinds of domestic abuse: those in which the victim enables the perpetrator and those in which the victim refuses to do so. I say from my personal observations that the former is far more difficult to end…

I say from experience that a lot of the people who believe they enjoy "debating" actually enjoy polemic, i.e. "fighting" other people verbally. As foolish as the concept may be, they genuinely believe that proving someone wrong or ridiculing someone is the equivalent of defeating them in actual combat. Thus, some of them go to debating societies in order to engage in a polite form of polemic.

I agree; we need to track this case and campaign for amnesty towards him. I am not sure if Australia has criminal negligence laws, but it seems far more appropriate to give him that than manslaughter. Perhaps he was charged with both, so that the jury would decide the extent of his culpability, but felt so guilty about it that he pleaded guilty of manslaughter. I don't really know. That said, again, this is something worth campaigning on.

How does this article in any way contradict the idea of hypergamy? From the abstract: the evidence favors the view that women have worked to stifle each other's sexuality because sex is a limited resource that women use to negotiate with men, and scarcity gives women an advantage.

I never said hypergamy is a myth. I am saying that to blame it on "hypergamy fairies" (i.e. some unassailable scapegoat as opposed to the people displaying hypergamy) is inaccurate. Let me correct you on that: The bigger issue here is that after 50 years of feminism, women still expect men to fulfill their traditional gender obligations. Let's not mince words here. It's not the hypergamy fairies who do this, it's women.

Yeah, but in order for an action to qualify as censorship, it needs to stifle the expression of genuine ideals and values. That video expresses neither genuine ideas nor genuine values. I agree completely. The reason for this insanity is that whenever the majority of the population is tolerant of a crime, they will, in a democracy, welcome legislation that de-criminalizes it. To comment on just one of the issues mentioned, it's debatable whether the rise in diagnoses for conditions such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia in recent decades has more to do with an actual increase in incidence than with a greater awareness of these conditions among medics and the general public, and sadly, a greater desire from medics to sell drugs (at least in the case of ADHD).

I think it rather has to do with the freedoms given to those who enjoy speaking in bad faith and causing misery through their social interactions. My point was that if artificial wombs become available, the "market price" (I hate using that term) for young women will decrease considerably, since many of those who would normally want to start a family with a woman will be able to do so using artificial wombs. They continue lying in the newspapers in the hopes that elected officials will believe them, because they know that, once their constituency dies out, they will have no leg to stand on.

Some suicide methods are more reliable than others, and the more reliable ones tend to be used by men. I will not go into this, as it might make any depressed people reading my post even more depressed.

There's only a slight mention of how women provoke male sucidies - by denying men stable marriages in order to ride the carousel, and by committing divorce theft later in life. When women mistreat a man, his economic prospects decline, which generates a downward spiral for him - all the more reason why we should support our fellow men, work to free the child support / alimony slaves and campaign to be waived from funding single mother benefits.

It's worth bearing in mind that several years ago, Salon and other feminist mainstream ezines started taking about the men's rights movement, using as much derogatory language as they could muster. As a result, the men's rights movement received more press and more people became interested in it. All I can say is, this calls for a round of popcorn.

Date fraud is a term introduced by Warren Farrell. See a description of it here (EDIT: search for "date fraud", it's near the bottom of the page): http://www.menstuff.org/columns/farrell/archive.html Suitor abuse is a term I made up, that reflects the fact that male suitors of women can be exposed to a great deal of manipulation, exploitation and humiliation that they have no legal recourse against. The article linked to in the original post is a very thorough example of this; the women subject …

Why do you assume that Chinese society needs to "kill off a great number of men"? All it needs to do is clamp down on hypergamy, institute a bachelorette tax and promote polyandry as a viable alternative to childlessness. That's true, although it may not be just that. This thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1dd8jb/feminist_journalist_mary_elizabeth_williams/ refers to an interview with dr. It's worth noting that the data she quotes comes from the National Vioolence Against Women survey, in which, as the survey claims, a "nationally representative sample" of 8000 men and 8000 women were contacted by phone. She urged women students to plan for their personal happiness the way they plan for their professional careers. If a woman marries for her personal happiness, she is selfish and does not deserve a husband to begin with. A good woman would expect to marry a man for his happiness, and expect him to marry her for her happiness. It's as simple as that, yet every article I see advising women to marry talks about how women aren't being selfish enough about their personal lives.

Don't forget that if our "equals" do succeed in breeding only with "alpha" men over several generations, the gene pool will be so perverted that all the men will be competing furiously with each other, having inherited the "alpha" genes that their mothers ruthlessly selected for. Research needs a foundation of its own, however. Often, anecdotes need to be highlighted in order to stimulate investigations, and investigations need to be performed in order to stimulate rigorous research (and indeed, to protect it from academic politics). In regards to "society", I need to mention that people always have the freedom to choose whether or not to learn what someone is trying to teach them; when there are no adverse consequences to rejecting the teachings (other than not receiving certain advantages, e.g. squeezing more money out of men in this case) you can't say that the people who are learning these things are being coerced into it. What no one is mentioning here is that the root of all abuse is psychological, and that vulnerability to abuse (and neglect) is also psychological. There are indeed women and men who will allow themselves to be subjected to abuse for psychological reasons, such as a tolerance that they developed in an early family environment as a means to form a (completely or mostly unilateral) bond with abusive or callous parents.

Yep. And if you've been abused as a child, and suffer for want of an attachment figure, women will pretty much spit on you and literally leave you in agony when you seek them out as attachment figures, because your suffering renders you "weak" in their eyes irrespective of your personal strength. By contrast, men happily become such attachment figures to women who had been abused in childhood, even if these women would have treated them like dirt if the roles were reversed.

One thing that always bothers me about these situations is that no one thinks of holding women accountable for the harm that they deliberately cause. The wisest thing to do, once you realize that they are so manipulative, is to stand up against women, denounce them, minimize their influence in the world and ensure that, once artificial wombs become commercially available, no one will prevent men from having children without having to jump through hoops for women's personal amusement.

It becomes much more frightening when you factor genetics into it. 60 years ago, those 10 baby mommas would have each had a child with someone who was of more or less random moral value, so they would have given birth to only a handful of lowlives in total. Instead, they each had a child with the same lowlife, potentially producing 10 different lowlives who will go on to form the next generation in their communities, aspiring to become the thugs their baby daddy sings about.

I have encountered many women who thought that my behaviour was weak and supplicating. They didn't quite realize that what they considered weak and supplicating was, in fact, kind and considerate, and so when they began to clearly try to exploit me, they did not expect me to angrily oppose them, which I did. I think their perception of my behaviour as "weak" had more to do with their callousness than with any weakness on my part. I would elaborate further in this thread, but I think it would be …

I apologize for the confusion. What I believe is that being a nice guy (in terms of dealing with women) is, unless we are talking about manginas and their double standards, part of being a nice person in general, i.e. "nice guy" implies "nice person". It's not a conflation so much as a generalization (a conflation would be "nice guy" equivalates "nice person"). I believe that it is good for people to care about and support each other, which is what being a nice guy entails. These are not trolls, but most likely people who have found themselves deeply wronged and could not find justice in their present social environment; hence they turned to feminism. I'm very disappointed with Farrell's assessment, which seems to blame everything on the people who go on these killing sprees. That's the point - if older men sought to reproduce with older women, and actually succeeded at creating healthy offspring, they would pass on the genetic characteristics that enabled women to bear these healthy offspring at older ages. And that would be good for reproduction, since it would expand the tine window for each person (male and female) to reproduce, therefore allowing each individual couple to bear more healthy children throughout their lives. Right?

I think it's important to distinguish between the pressures that a person's own hindbrain places on him/her and the pressure other people (i.e. "society"), perhaps as a result of their own hindbrains' pressure, place on him/her. The latter invariably depend on the former; if any individuals have the volition to reject social pressure when it contravenes what is objectively right, they will, and I would argue that it is everyone's responsibility to do so. I'm aware of that, but I assure you that, if they had more to lose in terms of reputation by speaking out against the protesters' behaviour than by ignoring it (which would have been the case if this were 1980), the university wouldn't have issued the statement at all.
/r/MensRights13/12/12 05:05 PM

the fact that the university isn't pursuing this just speaks volumes to the whole "woman therefore victim" mentality. Universities, like other big bureaucratic institutions, operate on the CYA ("cover your ass") principle. Their primary aim in this situation is to minimize the loss of their reputation as economically as possible; they have absolutely no concern for the victims.

British socialists, actually. The left doesn't seem to differ much between countries - which is a startling realization to come to once you begin to grasp that Pol Pot and Joseph Stalin are psychologically similar if not identical to the activists at your local students' union. You have to be kidding me. I did grow up with it splattered all over TV, and I didn't like it. There are multiple aspects to this, but it mostly has to do with the fact that, as far as I am aware, pre-pubescent children find sex to be icky, and for good biological reasons.

Don't forget to say that he should never judge the women who are like that, because he has no right to control their sexuality with his evil man-logic. All female sexuality is wonderful and good, so it's perfectly okay for her to force men to compete against each other and work long hours through the rat-race to earn her affections while she does nothing to earn the same from them.

I'm not sure about whether or not you're "good enough", as that's something that you yourself can assess through moral reasoning (or something between you and God if you're religious), but here are some things you should be asking about those women. Are those women good enough for your tax money? Are those women good enough for a leadership position of any kind, since this is how they treat people? Are those women good enough for affirmative action? Are those women good enough for you to jump to…

Apologies, I'm not the author of that post. I have put that in bold just now for clarity. I do agree with you on most issues, with the notable difference that I firmly believe in bonding for life with anyone I would physically love, and wouldn't bother with anyone otherwise. I do recognize that both the law - i.e. the lack of covenant marriage - and the high number of parasitic women make the odds of entering a genuine, mutual lifelong bond really low. I also believe that a firm understanding of…

Johnny Bravo is a typical example of the feminist idea that women are attracted to nice, gentle men and would violently turn down a beefed-up narcissist; to the great detriment of the world, women instinctively act in exactly the opposite manner. There many not be any baby-eaters around (one would hope), but there are certainly plenty of narcissists in the world knocking up hypergamous women.

I think like that... Remove state support and people will be forced to do things for each other.
/r/MensRights27/11/12 08:29 PM

The only purpose of this celebration of hostility is to give men the idea that they should be demure around women, that courting them openly would hurt their delicate feelings and demand just retribution. It's there to make men subordinate. Johnny Bravo is an excellent example of this lie.

ErasmusMRA, as you've surely learned yourself, this forum is overflowing with non-feminist leftists who are far happier with hearing affirmations than the truth. The causes of divorce, e.g. domestic abuse, are spelled out in court and should serve as the main criterion for whether sole custody should be granted. Divorce due to domestic abuse should result in the non-abusive parent (if one exists) receiving sole custody, while run-of-the-mill divorce due to "unreasonable behaviour" (the UK equivalent to no-fault divorce) should lead to joint custody unless / until one can demonstrate abuse on the part of either parent.

I refuse to be labeled as "evil" simply because I have the same kind of genitals (or skin color, or what have you) as a person who does evil things. You're derailing. People who do evil things do evil things because they intend to do them; if you have the same intents (and implicitly the same morals) as they do, you can refuse to be labeled as "evil" all you like, you'll still be evil. Thanks a lot for that; it really clears things up. I'll take a closer look at the innocence project (having glanced over it several years ago). I don't deny it, but I believe that moral traits can only be cultivated if they already exist, and that people can and do cultivate them irrespective of whether other people encourage or discourage them. If a message you hear goes against your conscience, you quite simply refuse to embrace it; if it suits your conscience, you will embrace it. Thus, a bad upbringing is not an excuse for malice, deception or any other aspects of one's (bad) conscience. For instance, it is obvious to me that abando…

I'll look into this further when I have the time. ...But whether or not someone is "capable" of something is rendered irrelevant by the fact that they have no intent to do it. That is, it's important to consider not just what women can do, but what they will do. This is not an issue to gloss over. When it comes to morality, "can" and "will" are one and the same. A person who won't be compassionate cannot be compassionate. Likewise for courage, sincerity and other moral traits. Now, what do traits like hypergamy say about women? If someone I tru…

Regarding incarceration, I don't see the criminals as innocent and helpless victims, unless they really were innocent of their crimes or their crimes were not acts of evil at all. Being a tomboy doesn't necessarily mean cultivating virtue and upholding it within yourself; it simply means having an overall masculine character, for good or ill. A female psychopath could very well be a tomboy, for instance, just as a female saint. I don't discount the idea that some women are more attracted to feminine men.
/r/MensRights21/11/12 03:21 PM

I would actually prefer to marry a woman with certain masculine qualities - notably determination, honesty, honour, courage and a great capacity for guilt; someone who would fight together with me and live dutifully alongside me, as I would live dutifully alongside her. Are you saying that, if my experience had involved scapegoating people, ridicule against me would have fixed the scapegoating?
/r/MensRights11/11/12 07:32 PM

I see your point about why you used ridicule in your video. I've had CPTSD, and I can safely say that any ridicule I experienced undoubtedly either made things worse or had no effect on them. By contrast, understanding the nature of psychopathy and cluster B personality disorders (i.e. "evil others") by reading about other people's experiences was very helpful, as it helped me distinguish between what I ought to expect from evil individuals and from run-of-the-mill people. From what I've read, t…
/r/MensRights11/11/12 07:05 PM

But ridicule is fallacious. It doesn't prove or disprove anything. Ideas, including false ones, always withstand ridicule, because appeals to emotion target emotions, not rational thinking; there's no reason to disbelieve something just because someone ridicules it. As for abused women in your scenario, a good dose of ridicule does wonders to get someone moving out of their emotional ruts. I'll remember that in case you get clinically depressed and post about it.

I wasn't being very picky with my words, though I still think it's fine to say someone in this case (and I won't get into a thread-splitting debate on that). ridicule prevents closer examination of the truth How? IVF clinics in Sydney and Melbourne report the number of women using donor sperm to conceive a child has jumped 10 per cent over the past three years. The most celebrated Romanian poem in existence, Luceafărul, described a celestial creature that fell in love with a princess and manifested in the world in countless ways in order to prove his love to her. Why is hypergamy an issue and what relevance does it have to MR? Hypergamy is an issue because it is evil - it drives women to be attracted to, and therefore to bond with, dominant men (who are inevitably evil, for reasons that I won't go into here). Women who do so therefore become evil by proxy. It's a Men's Rights issue because men have the right not suffer because of women's hypergamous inclinations, whether by being denied a family, or by being betrayed by their spouse, due to their morally…

The vast majority of women have hypoagency; the mantra of hypoagency is "don't judge me". Many men (perhaps most men?) have hyperagency; the mantra of hyperagency is the exact opposite - "don't excuse me." People with hypoagency don't like to be judged - they like excuses to be made for them, and they feed on the affirmation (which is often simply excuse-mongering) of other hypoagents. There are three issues. The first concerns the idea that men who go to prostitutes are not "real men". This does not take into account that some men have disabilities that make them unattractive, and some of these people may want (indeed, experience the psychological need) to have no-strings attached sex. I am against sex without intimacy myself, but do not fault people for pursuing it. To say these men are not "real men", on top of their disability, is horrendous. The second issue concerns the …

This is what a student society at the University of Sheffield in the UK has been doing; it is part of a national "Christian" organization (I cannot in good faith write that without quotes) called Stop the Traffik. Some of the pictures were of student / ex-student activists, but the majority were of passers-by, having been collected over the course of (I think) four hours. I am pessimistic about the state of humanity but wonder if this is simply because many of the students didn't realize what th…

I actually like how Dalrock and other traditional conservatives are referring to "serial monogamy" as "serial polygamy", and contrasting it with "paralel polygamy".

The interesting thing is that it really is dominance, not social status. Here's an article that provides evidence for this. http://rsbl.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/1/3/256.full Body odours (i.e. without any perfume) are obviously not indicators of social status.

I'll clarify and go a bit further with this. Hypergamy is the inborn attraction of women (which peaks during ovulation) towards socially dominant men, i.e. men who boss other people around and/or push others aside to get what they want, who have social influence and are "in control" all the time. These are people who manifest "dark triad" personality traits, i.e. psychopathy, narcissism and machiavellianism. This means two things. First, women will prefer to have children with individuals manife…

Agreed. Hypergamy is one of the worst and most prominent evils in the world, as it essentially means women want to support evil individuals and create more of them. We definitely need to emphasize it. Those women who strive to topple their own hypergamy deserve our praise. Those women who don't -and won't- deserve our opposition.

I never thought of true love this way. As I see it, you can feel true love for anyone except for those who, possessing certain specific personality traits, would squander, exploit or corrupt it. For the love they talk about in the blog post to be genuinely True, it must be absolute, and it demonstrably isn't: the "special person" is defined by how much personal fulfilment it can instill in the "true lover", and since one's personal sense of fulfilment differs from that of others (after all, it i…

Attraction itself can be overriden by other attitudes. If I find out that a woman is malicious or contemptful, for instance, I can quickly dissolve any attraction I had towards her.
