How many fat old people do you think live on the African savanna or in countries like India with 4% obesity rates? Do you think their metabolisms are just that much faster than normal? We are fat because we eat too much food and move too little, period.

Being fat is not a natural part of getting older, it’s a byproduct of the slothful and unhealthy American way of life that gets increasingly harder to stave off as people work longer hours and have more responsibilities.

These places don’t exist in America because of the horrific urban planning that dominates like 95% of the country. “Third spaces” are way more common in other countries that were built for actual humans and not merely as an extension of corporate power.

Again, you cannot gain any significant amount of lean muscle without doing heavy compound lifts unless you have great genetics - period. I’m not talking “runner’s build” physiques or whatever - those are lean, but not muscular. Ain’t nobody doing a bunch of push-ups and chin-ups to get jacked unless they’re taking something. This is irrelevant for women because they can get desirable bodies just by being thin, which requires no working out at all, just not eating a lot. I find it telling that yo…

Yes, they are all inferior to the gym. Most guys aren’t getting top-quality physiques with calisthenics or CrossFit unless they have really good genetics. Anything other than a barbell-based routine isn’t gonna give you good results, period. This article does a great job in discussing how “When it comes to strength training, the right choices are limited and uncomplicated. There are right and wrong ways to do things, not “it depends”, not alternative theories based on new science that we need to…

Great, so if I spend hundreds of dollars on home gym equipment, that makes me a better person? Why does anyone need to better themselves for a “wholesome” reason anyway? It doesn’t matter if a guy goes to the gym because he wants to be healthier or if he wants to get a six-pack to attract the ladies. Both are perfectly valid reasons, and one of those guys is not necessarily worse than the other.

Socialism is when workers own the means of production, not when governments take tax money and spend it on social programs. Social welfare is clearly under a capitalist system.

Social security was literally put into place by FDR to prevent Americans from turning to communism during the Great Depression. Social welfare ≠ socialism. And this is coming from a very left-wing guy

Lol you came to the exact opposite conclusion one should based on the data… if men below a certain IQ range simply wouldn’t make it to college, but the higher IQ ranges are indeed made up of mostly men, why wouldn’t men be doing better if IQ predicted school achievement well? There are a couple good reasons for this. Firstly, one could posit that school is best tailored towards those of above average but not blinding intelligence, which is possible. More likely, young women simply exhibit traits…

Not a woman, but I would tell my son to mew from an early age, teach him about the principles of nutrition and keep mostly healthy food in the house so he doesn’t get fat, teach him sports and heavily encourage him to stay in them, get good at them, and develop a workout routine starting at around puberty, and explain what girls are looking for in teenagers and young men so he’s not confused as how to treat girls. Telling him to be a “kind, normal human” is absolutely worthless if all the douche…

I already messaged you about this, go hit the gym and hit on girls at bars for like 6 months and log off this stupid forum. Whatever women might think about your autism pales in comparison to the impact of working your ass off and finding out the answer to this question yourself. I’m on the spectrum too in a situation similar to yours - it’s difficult, but it is absolutely not impossible to get laid or get a girlfriend.

You’re welcome. I also want to add that my success is extremely varied - I went from getting constant IOIs one semester of college to nearly none the next, and by my senior year, I could count on one hand the number of times a girl looked at me at a bar in a way that signaled I should talk to her. An underrated part of meeting women is looking happy - I failed miserably at that as time went on, because I don’t really enjoy going out that much. I really only do it to hit on girls, and it got old …

I’m on the spectrum. Had a lot of experience in college. My body count is near ten, but I’ve “fooled around with” more than forty women. I don’t go all the way all the time, sorry. I still struggle a bit, but part of it is self-inflicted. Anyway… You’re fucked. Sorry! If you read that and mentally checked out, then that statement is true. However…, if you’re reading this, you might have hope. The reason for this is because dating as an autistic guy is ridiculously tough, and to succeed, you need…

In a normal distribution, the mean, median, and mode are all the same. Obviously, there are no true normal distributions in the real world, but how would it make any sense that the attractiveness of women is normally distributed according to men but not vice versa?

Would prefer to date a single parent when I’m older, as I want to raise children but don’t want to father my own due to potentially passing down genetic issues as well as my antinatalist beliefs. I’d rather not adopt either, as adoption apparently has negative drawbacks for children and I don’t know if many women would rather adopt than have their own children.

Lol this will only add fuel to their fire. You and the original commenter are saying that when y’all were young and as attractive you’ve ever been, you went for douchey red pill guys, but as you got older (which these guys don’t want), y’all finally matured and went for a different type of dude? Sounds like that’s exactly what they’re going for.

Well, it is disadvantageous to the men who do all the things you listed and still get shut out by the genetic anomalies and sociopaths that monopolized the dating pool. In a world where many men are aware of self-improvement, it is essentially luck-based as to who succeeds. It’s like the NBA vs. the G-League - there’s not much difference in work ethic between your average G-Leaguer and NBA player, but the NBA players are just that much more naturally talented and attuned to basketball. Men are f…

Depends on where you were from then I guess. My grandparents met and dated in the 60s, and it sounded like they had plenty of choices and ways to meet people. Nobody was doing arranged marriages or anything like that, at least in my family and cultural background. Maybe immigrant families had a more restrictive dating culture, but millions of Americans back then met at school, work, social events, and through friends as they do now, and nobody was forcing them to date people they didn’t like. What I’m saying is that the standard for men is still way higher than it was in 1960. Even if you grant that the average man is just worse than they were back then (likely untrue), women today still reject many men that would absolutely get paired up in 1960 in a heartbeat. The problem isn’t really with men, but with the insane standards that women have, which have largely been imposed on them from social media and online dating. I’d rather be a 4/10 man in 1960 than a 7/10 today.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 03:56 AM
5

In 1960, all you needed to do was exist and not be totally depraved and disgusting and you would get a girlfriend and get laid. Sure, you might not have a body count of 50+, but that’s really not what most men care about. Today, you’re supposed to lift 4 times a week, be <15% body fat, wear nice clothes, have above average disposable income, be tall, constantly go out and socialize in soul-crushing environments, sign up for equally soul-crushing online dating apps, and pretend to be someone you’…

I’ve always been engaged in self-improvement, but as you said, I still needed to become more charismatic. So I faked being a life of the party kind of guy, who genuinely enjoyed socializing and stuff like that. Of course, my results with women skyrocketed, but I was internally miserable because I was losing myself to get laid. Once I got sick of it, I became a lot more focused on grinding for my future and returned to my introverted, quiet, and antisocial self. I promptly got laid way less, and …

I don’t know what men deserve or not. What I’m staying is that your personality is largely inherited and set in stone. There’s no gym for it. So when people rag on guys for having bad personalities, they might as well criticize them for having blue eyes or size 11 feet. I suppose a guy could fake their personality, which I have done to great external success and internal detriment, but advocating that borderline sociopathic behavior would be irresponsible.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/23 04:25 AM
5

It’s way harder to be talented, athletic and funny for many guys than it simply is to be good-looking. Completely serious. The average guy would have a far easier time getting to ~12% body fat with some muscle, getting some nice clothes, a good haircut, and having nice skin than being a social butterfly. Your personality is far more genetically determined and a lot harder to change than looks IMO, but people act like it’s some virtue that it should should be focused on or altered somehow.

Autism = totally fucked, unless you act like a sociopath and completely mask every single one of your autistic personality traits. Even then, girls have a sixth sense about this stuff and will reject you regardless of how good you look 99% of the time. Source: I’m on the spectrum. You wouldn’t even notice it if you just met me, but even a drop of autism makes getting girls 1000x harder.

Confidence doesn’t matter, all that matters is how others perceive you. How you perceive yourself is irrelevant. Learned this the hard way after getting continually less interest from women over the last year or so despite being more self-assured than ever. Turns out it’s likely because I come off as extremely stressed - the second my course load and other demands (LSAT prep, finding a job) became more stressful, the less IOIs I got. A bit off track, but basically, it’s pretty much impossible to…

Personalities are mostly stable and inherited. You can’t really improve them. On the other hand, there are tons of things I can do to improve my appearance.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/22 01:16 AM

You’re absolutely correct. Most people are just morons and falsely conflate confidence with competence. Confidence literally has nothing to do with any other trait - it can be completely delusional, and it often is. One of humanity’s stupidest obsessions by far is with “confidence”. It means absolutely nothing.

I’m in a fraternity at the largest Greek school in the country - the University of Alabama. The amount of promiscuity is insane here. Many people don’t usually get in relationships here until they’re upperclassmen, and the hordes of kids here who aren’t from the South straight up have soulless casual sex until they graduate. Alabama sorority girls are the ones who either don’t want relationships or want a boyfriend to show off as a status symbol to make their friends jealous, and the guys follow…

Am on the spectrum, have learned to mask effectively through relentless analysis of others’ social interactions over the years. Autistic men don’t have the luxury of being themselves if they want to get laid a lot unless they’re in a super niche community. Dating is on HOF difficulty for me and you wouldn’t even notice I’m on the spectrum - for guys who are noticeably autistic? RIP
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 03:46 PM

I also have autism, although it is less severe. I think that may be the crux of the issue - his friend gives him very specific advice for all these hypothetical situations, and I think he can just understand it better. The thing is that social situations are so dynamic and unpredictable that I can’t possibly give a bunch of techniques out, so I instead advocate for general social, physical and mental improvement. I agree that the things you’ve stated are good, but there’s also more insidious beliefs he has such as women “being more emotional” and men being “more logical” and him trying to be dominant over a “super-feminine and submissive girl” that are off-putting and counterproductive. Good point. The thing about actual markets is that it’s far more complicated than lifting and learning game. There are much bigger dynamics at play which shape the world economy.

I’m buying into the truths without actually trying to improve myself, since it doesn’t even make sense to try to have an amazing life since that won’t bring me satisfaction.

This girl said I was hot tho AND she instigated... but she's also avoiding me. I'm doing an okay job at negging her and I'm getting better at push/pull, but since now she's pulling a lot of the shit mentioned in the first paragraph should I withdraw? She also has a ton of shit to do for a big event in a few days so I feel like it's not about me personally...

i am from a small town. there are not a lot of opportunities to meet kids from other schools where i live. i’m doing two internships this summer and trying to find another part time job after i recently got let go in order to further this.

Where as it's easy to gain a negative label, but it's hard to lose one. this hits really hard. i came into hs as a blue pill chubby pre-pubertal freshman. now i'm 6 inches taller, at least 10% lower in body fat, got much better at negging and other social skills in general, but i'm still friendless here junior year. i have autism, and even tho it's practically unnoticeable i still have the reputation of an autistic loser. whenever i meet kids that don't know me i do really well, so i really hope…

Thank you for the detailed reply. I’ve had some knee and shoulder problems from playing basketball and baseball for many years, and I agree that joint pain fucking sucks. I’ll def think about trying those things

I’m from suburban New York - I live 20 miles from Manhattan. That stuff really hasn’t made it here either for some reason lmao

The more people think that Trump supporters are a joke and are not to be taken seriously the closer we’re getting to Trump sitting in the Oval Office until January of 2025.

I would be shocked if they pass legislation overturning due process. Legislators can’t afford to piss the people in power off who would potentially have their lives ruined if they got accused of anything.

Academia doesn’t have too much influence on policy making. Most professors aren’t famous enough or rich enough to actively influence decision making processes in national legislative bodies.

That’s what I’m saying. Gen Z is one of the most conservative generations in decades - like 40% of GenZ’ers in a poll of 106,000 people expressed support for Trump.

What specific government policies hurt men? Women do graduate high school and college at higher rates then men, and they self-segregate into lower-paying careers which accounts for the supposed gender pay gap. But how does that or any other advantage women have now relate to policies? It’s a societal and cultural shift, if anything. And I’m pretty sure most Germans by the onset of WW2 were members of the Nazi Party. Does that mean they all believed in that ideology? No. But if you didn’t want to…

Probably. I feel like universities are going to have more and more conservative voices in the future, as my generation is more conservative yet less racist and more inclusive than ever before.
