I was this 🤌 close to msging an old fling because of lonliness today. I get it. I am also working in consulting, have lots of friends (literally spent like 6 hours with mine today), and am fulfilled by my life. But, I've felt so lonely lately and in need of romantic intimacy. I just want you to know it's normal, and you're not alone. If anything, I'm thankful that you were vulnerable enough to post this, because I needed to know I'm not alone either. Sending you good loving energy your way ❤️

I mean personally I like it shaved. But I never like become ocd about it. If I missed some parts there, then it is what it is. It happens. But I guess just do whatever u want with your coochie.if the person is sexually compatibile with you, they probably will also have the same preference of how hairy it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just would never overthink how I should shave for a man, I just do it for myself because it makes me feel good.

Yeah I think I should have done that as well. But I guess all I can do now is learn from this.

She sent me a long msg asking for space and saying I was cruel. I told her I'll try to be a better friend but understand if she doesnt want to be friends anymore. I guess it just hurts. I feel like I screwed up and should have been quiet when she came for advice.

I was engaged and 7 months away from my wedding.. had a dress ready and everything. my ex told me one evening he loves me but can't accept my personality (that I had a stronger personality than him) and my past, and doesn't think he will be happy. So I told him to pack his things leave. You have to be ready to leave at any point.

A lot of women fight against it because they don't want to admit they are unhappy in their relationships and having to pull the weight. They want to act like "they have no expectationsand that's a good thing", because then they don't get disappointed. it's bs. Don't listen to them. You should have expectations of men, you should have standards, and you should be with someone who treats you like a queen.

I will never forget, during my pickme days, I went to visit one of my ex BF's a few days after Valentine's Day (when he only sent me a "happy b-day" text in the evening") and the gift he got me... Was a Harry Potter calendar that he got for free at work. I got him a sweater. I was also like 20 years old and he was 25. Yeah- celebrate vday alone instead of being with some cheap scrote.

Sorry you had to go through that. But I like to think that it's never "too late" to cut off someone, as long as you do it. We all have our own timeline and situation, as long as you come back to your values, that's what matters.

Look, I'm not here to judge my dad. My dad is my dad and there is more to him than that one line. I appreciate everyone's concern but he brought me a lot in my life that I am thankful for and am not using this forum to shit talk him.

He brought up that he didn't want something casual and said he still wants to take me out and spoil me. I wanted to see if his actions matched his words. A week later, I realized what he meant is he wants a situation where he can act like a bf without the commitment. Not for me. Thank you!

I agree! My dad has his HV traits but has also LV traits that have caused a lot of difficulty in my and my mom's life. I love my dad to bits but always take his personality and things he says with a grain of salt. He has his own trauma and life experiences, plus cultural upbringing that ill never be able to change, so I just take it as a way for me to learn how to unlearn the sexist things that I've been taught.

My dad was telling me "maybe you should have stayed and slowly help him transition from him being In love with his ex or not over his ex to loving you" and i said "immediately no" because I'm not a placeholder! Male society has been trying to teach women to always be the therapist, to stick through and try to help a man become "ready" for us. Why? No one has given us that kind of luxury. Society always gives women crap for taking time to heal and being emotional, but men are allowed to be becaus…

It's interesting you say the whole "hang out with people" part..I was seeing someone who I wanted to avoid a situationship with , so I offered to hang out with a group of people (my friends) so that we aren't always alone. We dont have mutual friends. He didn't want to hang out with my friends, so I took it as a red flag and ended things.

The amount of times I had to explain this to other girls and they still say "but I feel less pressured on a coffee date". No.. you don't.. you just feel like you're accomdating for him and are more likely to get him to "like you" because he doesn't have to try hard. No woman actually dreams of her first date being at a coffee shop or a low effort date.

So when I was 18 I dated a guy who would tell me I post too often. He criticized me for posting a picture with my brother because he was living in a different country and I missed him... He called me an attention seeker. I would understand if I was posting extremely provocative and degrading photos of myself if my bf would communicate he is uncomfortable with it. But if I'm posting things that are normal and fun, go f yourself lmao. So I told my ex to f off lmao. Good times.

Hi! Jewish woman here. I'm not orthodox (I'm quite secular) but I am connected to the orthodox community in some ways. I agree- Judaism has some sexism. But, this is very deep in the ultra-hasidic world. My orthodox friends are actually pretty liberated. My rabbi and his wife (who is a rabbitzin), both have so much respect for each other. The rabbitzin hosts various classes. Women in the orthodox community have full time jobs, like doctors, teachers, therapists. In Judaism, it is a rule that men…

Oh no I would never clean up after a man. All I'm saying if I feel like cleaning or cooking I will! But, I grew up in a fam where women were always In charge of cooking and cleaning and I hated it so much that the men barely did work... Id expect my husband/bf to be as organized as me and have the desire to clean. I look at my bro who is cleaner than I am and wouldn't ever need his gf to cook or clean for him. But, if she does do it, she does it out of desire, never because he is a man child . T…

I think if you like doing it then that is acceptable? I personally enjoy doing chores and cooking, but I would want my husband to share the load with me so it doesn't become a burden. but I actually look forward to cleaning so I think it's not a bad thing to say "Ill only clean when I'm married" if that's what you like, but you want to set boundaries.

I think pickmeishas are a bit different because a lot of them are high value women who aren't aware of their value and how to assert it. Low value men can level up as well but it takes a huge moment of self reflection, and a lot of them don't bother to because they can just manipulate insecure women instead. I'm not saying all men, but very little amount of people can completely change. I didn't say all people can't change, I just think it's very hard to change. I think a lot of people just unco…

Honestly .. this. Every guy I've dated is now in a long term relationship and I swear I feel like I was always the teacher who trained them to become better boyfriends. But, let's be real here, people don't change and while they may have learned some stuff, they definitely are still LVM if they were LVM. The only time I'll believe someone has changed is if they go through a "Ghosts from Girlfriend Past" experience.

Honestly, I think a big part of knowing what you are looking for is just to date.. unfortunately, a lot of the knowledge and idea of what I want in a man came from experience. I'm in my mid twenties, and while I want to say here is a list of things to look for, it's really something you need to discover. Look for red flags that the women on this thread talk about, but even then, you might see only green flags with a guy and he will still not meet your needs. I dated guys who seemed good on paper…

I'm in the same boat. Really like this guy, who likes me back. But, he told me the exact same thing, as he knew that I wasn't interested in being fwb, and he needed time to work on himself. It really sucks because he and I are compatible in a lot of ways, but I respected and appreciated that he didn't play with me. He was real and honest. No hard feelings.

Agreeeed. Im tired of living in a world where "the grey area" is glamorized. Being in ambiguous territory with someone is toxic and unhealthy. Its either you want me or you don't. You don't get any benefits without commitment. Goodbye.

This is so true and actually defines my ex lmfao. He was "willing to spend" but when it came to timing and putting me first it was horrible. Everything else came first, and he would be late all the time and tell me last minute. So true!

Also, your ability to be in a relationship should be your decision. He shouldn't be nervous he is a rebound. Your life is your own journey and he can't make judgment calls about whether you're ready or not.

Honestly, I'm the kinda gal who likes commitment, and I feel like it's important in order to establish a relationship and learn about each other. So, if I don't have exclusivity within 2 months, im kinda wary... . But since you have a child as mentioned in other comments, I'd definitely wait before you bring him into your life. Vet him for another month, I'd say. And maybe see how he reacts if you do something where you obviously put your kid first before him.

I'll be honest, I dated a guy, who for the first three months, was "sensitive" and paid for dates and bought me a nice birthday gift and said he wanted family/marriage... But then he ended up being another LVM once the 3 month mark went by. So while those ARE HVM signs, take in account the red flags that might end up having more weight than the good things. I don't mean to be cynical or pessimistic, but just try to be as objective as possible.

How to be single!

Broke up with my bf about a month and a half ago. A year ago, I would have been crying because I didn't appreciate myself. This time, I was so complete with my decision because I have grown to love myself enough to appreciate the high value woman I am in a relationship, and knowing that I won't settle for a LVM. So, be proud of yourself for letting go so gracefully. You are going to do amazing in this new chapter of your life! ♥️

I have dated guys during those ages and each one knew that in the future I want to get married, and I don't commit to guys who don't want that future either. You don't need to plan getting married, but the guy should at least have the same goal and values as you, which is "date to one day get married", not just to have a girlfriend for now.

Thanks for your response! Just some background, I was actually asking this because I saw my LVM exes in relationships with new girls, so it made me wonder

I'm happy single. I'm also happy in a relationship. I like both. It's like telling me to choose between apples and oranges. They both taste great!

Very fair ! I agree with you. I usually will have a convo with a guy depending on how intense our relationship is (if it's long term and we are very serious by 2nd month). I'll have one conversation and if they f me over again or go behind my back, I'll leave. I've made my own mistakes in relationships and have been socialized in ways due to my own traumas, so I like to give people a bit of the benefit of the doubt. But I agree, we shouldn't teach a total stranger. I think it just has case by ca…

Honestly I'd talk with him first. I think communication is key in a relationship and some guys don't know better. If he gets upset or projects that he is upset afterwards, then you know he is an lvm. If he unfollows all of the accounts with no problem and no projection that he is bothered by it, he is good. Some guys were never taught it's not okay.

I also left my LVM a few weeks ago and I'm on the same boat. But you have to be proud of yourself. I know that I wouldn't have left him as quick and wholeheartedly like I did a year ago. You're growing and becoming more aware and appreciative of yourself and your standards. Keep doing you girl. Start a project for fun. Start a blog. Learn something! Find a goal and achieve it. You've got this!

I need to screenshot this and make it my wallpaper. This is so powerful. I did that in my last relationship, and while my ex didn't care, it made it so much easier for me to leave, because I no longer felt like I needed him. When you do it, true colours of the guy will come out. If he cares, you will know. If not, then you're going to be free from such an idiot.. freedom from toxic, uncaring, LVM is bliss.
