| 1 | Discussion on article on how important are single dads. I thought it was dark ages mentality, others disagree. Thought it would be interested to read your thoughts. No she didn't mention men being violent. That was a comment made. Although she explains how important time with single fathers is to kids (now anyway) it was the old stereotype descriptions that just got under my skin. Would have just liked to see her discuss how single moms should recognize the need for their kids to spend equal tie with their dad. Not that dads don't get to see what happens after they get dropped off etc. Maybe a I am a bit too sensitive :) | /r/MensRights | 15/11/10 04:09 PM |

| 15 | Are child support rules unfair to fathers?Bottom line--dads end up paying majority of the time. My biggest beef is there is no accountability. Is the money really going to support the child? No way of knowing. Great point in the article, which I completely agree with, is expenses. Ok, lets assume you split, get divorced and go your separate ways. Won't she need housing, electricity, water, food, car, auto insurance, etc etc etc????? Amount needed is grossly over stated. It is the welfare mentality. Since I can get it for free, why not t… | /r/MensRights | 03/03/10 03:51 PM |

| 5 | Powerful video underscores the false rape epidemicThis video, is more powerful than 1000 articles. Seeing them in print and the actual ruining of men's lives is eye opener. | 1 | All parents - absent a finding of true harm - should have an absolute right to 50 percent custody of their children. (Slate, June 2004. I couldn't find a newer, mainstream press opinion)Very good comments Mesca. All sadly true. | /r/MensRights | 04/11/09 05:53 PM |
| 3 | All parents - absent a finding of true harm - should have an absolute right to 50 percent custody of their children. (Slate, June 2004. I couldn't find a newer, mainstream press opinion)I could not agree with you more! 50% should ALWAYS be the starting norm for custody unless one has serious issues. The BEST interest of the child is to have both his mom and his dad equally. Funny how in alimony and child support the states want to make sure one side is placed on equal footing so the child can have similar life in both households and not to adversely affect one side. Should be no different in custody. Too often the dad needs to prove and fight he is worthy of custody. Yet as men… | /r/MensRights | 03/11/09 03:29 PM |

Otherwise, the smokescreen gets so thick, you can never see through it to find real honest dialog. Nothing is black and white. That is why sites and reports are needed to uncover the truth. Discussion are more productive than hate and accusations ( just look at our political landscape to prove that) But then again, I am sure there are some who believe Duke didn't happen........ | /r/MensRights | 30/10/09 12:56 PM |

Although the article is involved it offers an insight into why fathers need to be diligent. | 3 | Show of hands: Who is sick and tired of the kind of hysterical reporting that passes along an accusation as fact?As I have said before, the need to be first to report, and to get ratings, causes lack of solid reporting. I do not have a problem with the 13 year old girl being frightened and going for help. Better to seek the authorities than if this really was a bad situation. The problem is the rush to print, post whatever , before confirming the facts. Which I guess is just a long winded way of saying I agree with you :). | /r/MensRights | 01/10/09 04:44 PM |

Both parents should be ashamed. But, if people didn't watch, they wouldn't get the money. | 1 | The real lesson of Hofstra: We can't empower our daughters by pretending they are powerlessVery good post. Wondering if the rush to publish and report creates even less good reporting. | 2 | Manhood and Child Support.I want to know what happened in your case that has you so bitter? Do you have a child you don't see but pay support? Just curious. As a side note, I am not saying the court system is not tilted. Men need to continue to fight for custody and equality. Take away money and custody issues and divorce is a cakewalk. I will respectfully disagree with the shame being the primary issue. Custody rights dictate much of the support. No need to play the woe is me shame act and poor man as the victim. Stand … | /r/MensRights | 17/09/09 05:41 PM |
| 2 | Manhood and Child Support.I think you have the argument twisted. If we continue to scream about paying child support we are missing the major issue. The fight needs to be to make sure men get at least 50/50 custody. If a dad does not have this, that needs to be addressed. That is the big fight. Fathers deserve every bit of time with their kids that mothers do. Courts need to make sure this is the norm. This also adjusts the support orders. | 1 | Putting Your Children’s Best Interests FirstI appreciate your comment. I actually thought it was refreshing to see an article stressing the facts to have both parents equally involved. As a full time father of 3, it seemed to be great advice to all and thought the room would embrace an author willing to treat single moms and single dads on a level playing field. It did not come across as anti-dad to me at all. The point is not about anti men or anti women - it is about what is best for your kids. That is the point. | /r/MensRights | 10/09/09 04:02 PM |

| 4 | Putting Your Children’s Best Interests FirstThe key statement in this article is "they are "Not “my children, not your children”- they still have 2 parents, you need to reframe your thinking into these children being our children." Exactly! Which leads me to 50/50 custody of the kids should ALWAYS be the starting point. Dads should be on equal footing from the outset. That is what is best for the kids. | /r/MensRights | 10/09/09 02:59 PM |

Sorry. I have never said the "c" word. Ever. I am not saying I disagree with your topic. But when I hear someone use it, I have an immediate downgrade of class in my mind. I am sure I will get hammered for saying this, but just the way I was raised and teach my kids the same way. I understand the heat behind the word, but I choose to find other ways to explain. | 1 | 25 Lessons For My DaughterSo true. I constantly remind my kids to be very careful not only what pictures they put on their facebook, but what situations they are in when OTHERS take pictures of them. How about this for a change, NO names are revealed until the case is heard and tried in the courts. Let the investigations proceed. No right to confront one's accuser, No right to an attorney, this is the USA isn't it? Verbal or non verbal consent- HUH? Amazing, just amazing. | 9 | Recanted rape claim treated as false alarm, as if no crime had been committedIt would be a difficult position for anyone to argue, that a false accusation of rape is "Ok". The bottom line, is once someone is accused, they are forever labeled and questioned. He may not be physically raped, but emotionally he is scared forever. No tolerance should be the rule. | /r/MensRights | 08/09/09 05:03 PM |
| 10 | Recanted rape claim treated as false alarm, as if no crime had been committedLiving near to Lehigh University I heard about this. Your take on it is right on target. If someone cries rape, reports it to the police, then recants, it should be reported as a crime in the media like any person accused of rape. The reporting of this crime is so one sided. Thanks for being a voice. | /r/MensRights | 08/09/09 02:27 PM |
