lmao I would fund a Life Education Van tour for the LVM of Australia.

It's horrific to think that my lovely little cat has a much better dental hygiene routine than old mate here!

I spend my days around boys from the ages of 13-17 and they would get SO WAILED ON by other boys if they said that shit aloud. Some of the more popular boys in my 11th grade classes have extremely abusive dads and back their mums to the hilt.

Man the right proper shredding in that response is positively erotic...

How often will some LVM go months without replenishing the handsoap in their bathroom? How long will LVM ignore symptoms of serious illness before finally seeing a doctor? How long will they just leave that broken piece of furniture in the corner? What makes you think he won't just stick with you because he's complacent, lazy, knows something is wrong, but would rather blame the system than address his numerous individual flaws?

Aussie slang has so many great euphemisms. It's usual for a bloke with a rude lid to have an "ordinary rig" as well.

It’s so infuriating to see the woman’s beautiful hair against his grotty, poorly groomed head. He’s got, in Aussie slang, “a rude lid”.

I always laugh when I hear that stat about "women think 80% of men are below average" and it's like, um, YES, have you even looked at yourself? He wasn't rich, he wasn't well-dressed, he didn't signal having good social acceptance. Why would I place my life and freedom at risk for some dude who I'd need to change and help get into the shower in ten years?

I normally don't - but someone who had to go out of their way to send me a message after being declined a match gets a special treat.

Dudes on dating sites looking for friendship are the biggest losers. As soon as they pull that line, they're gone. Imagine being so bereft of human company due to your own real life disinterest in others and shit personality that you think someone on a dating site wants friendship.

Courtney's mother was the LVW to end all LVW. Absolute trash human being who sold her teenage daughter out. Just filth.

I have a few: today it’s a Chloe one, but I also love my Strathberry East West and Mansur Gavriel tote. It’s as many as I need: I hope tomorrow need any other bag for a very long time.

And some shitty friendship. No farmer's markets, no fun gallery trips, no coastal adventures, no cooking classes. I'm sorry, but I'm too good for even friends to expect me to watch them play video games and eat greasy fast food. Friendship? They wouldn't have the first idea. To them, friendship is about the "feelings" they get from the person - not the care and attention and support for wellbeing that friends give and accept. No wonder a lot of male friendships don't last: they're predicated on …

There is literally nothing you can say to convince them. "Wow, that's so interesting" and deleting his number in front of him before you leave the restaurant is truly the most liberating feeling.

OP needs to ask herself if these traits are good for just him, or they're traits designed to help and improve her life also. Because boyfriend sounds like a parasite.

I don't even give that much closure. "Oh?" Or "all the best." Or just nothing before the block. ("All the best" is obviously a massive lie: I want them to live a life plagued with minor inconvenience.)

That's a ghostin'. A "disappear from his house with all your possessions overnight". Then, when he calls you, you assert clearly that you have never met him, and he must have dreamed of you.

Oh yeah. Counselling is for weak girly men - like washing your own ass or sleeping in a bed with clean sheets.

Whenever I hear old dudes spout of like this, I like to just look at them really puzzled. "You?! You think she needs to be prettier?" I just keep looking at them critically until they feel uncomfortable.

I treat looking for a partner the same way I am looking for a couch: I am looking for the perfect fit. It doesn't need to be the biggest, fanciest, most expensive couch, but I am looking for one that's well-proportioned to my living room, which is upholstered nicely, which is perfectly comfortable, and which sits me and my loved ones when we hang out. I don't want one that's just fine - one which is bulky, or hard to clean, or hard to style around, or which feels a little stiff after a few hours…

Lundy really is the GOAT, right? If we actually valued emotional labour and caregiving more, women would be much more reluctant to act as unpaid therapists and to start insisting that other people sort their shit out far earlier in life.

Keep in mind I'm still a virgin lol I went through a lot and I'm just now starting to take control and live life! Did he, though? Or is he confusing "antisocial behaviour and the consequences thereof" with "trauma"?

But they have strong feelings. Based on their childhood experiences - they feel strong things for the people they love without having to provide anything in return. Mature adults of any sex are able to show love through action and contribution; the deficient and malformed just want to replicate the soothing emotions and cocooning of childhood.

The myth of the "bad boy" is one of aesthetic, and a classist one at that. Of course their mythical "bad boy" is tattooed, or unemployed, or has a history of imprisonment, or poor relationships with caregivers - not like My Nigel who is well-brought-up because... um, his parents stayed together and he can use a word with three syllables at times? (Not correctly, mind you.) It's a self-soothing narrative of sadbois who cling to something - anything - to justify why they are alone.

When I think back to watching exes that cry, it's never been over something genuinely upsetting or traumatic or really bad news; it's been when they haven't got their way. And it has always been that fake, performative, embarrassing "boo-hoo" stage crying. I've been around enough men to tell when it's genuine and it's not a point against male emotional vulnerability; I do think however, that we should be aware of the performativity of their vulnerability inasmuch as it is an effective strategy t…
