He's asking around for interviews without any preparation and research? Not knowing who is he asking for an interview? Suuuure Dumbest thing I've read all day. If people give you suggestions, you do a bit of research to find which suggestion you'll pursue. How is he going to do the interview if he doesn't know who he's talking to?

Oh my god, I love this! It really is like a bad review, I wish I realized this sooner though, I'd save myself a lot of trouble. But hey, now I know. So much wisdom on this sub.

Exactly. I'm in my late 20s and still get asked for my ID when I want to buy a beer... Hitting the wall my ass.

This has been a difficult read. I'm glad you finally found the strength to leave! You've got this. Things can only get better from now, he's only going to cause you pain.

Lol, I've been in a couple of relationships, haven't gotten most of these things in any of them. Men out there think women get treated like princesses by everyone, are bitter about it and then treat women like shit. While also thinking they're the minority. Nope. Average guy doesn't provide any/most of the things stated in the pic. It's funny how supposedly men don't get anything from a relationship with a woman. But then why are they so desperate to get a woman? What are they, a charity?

So, 50/50 up until the point she becomes too vulnerable to leave. When she's pregnant, suddenly the 50/50 mantra doesn't exist and she's supposed to take the financial hit while his situation doesn't change. What a scrote. He didn't even marry her. She deserves better than this.

Yup, I know this all too well. I'm introverted, fairly shy and don't trust people easily. I take time getting to know someone. And of course that pisses men off, especially in a dating scenario, because they want you to be all head over heels for them and do everything they want in order to win their approval. But since that doesn't happen, the constant nagging about me being cold and distant are a regular topic. Just a tactic to get what they want, as soon as possible. They're not actually worr…

Yeah, my siblings would call me from the store too, that's to be expected if they don't do that often. My sister would call once every now and then, my brother... At first he'd make a call for practically every item he was asked to get, probably trying to get out of it next time. But he was told several times to try asking the shop keepers or just to look properly before calling (stores are mostly small here anyways). Guess what? The more often he was asked to shop for stuff, the less calls were…

That sounds really energy intensive, but good on you for sticking through it till the very end and not giving in. I'd probably give the person a deadline and then after it passed, I'd have the locks changed. I'm nowhere near as patient as you. Well, I'd use this solution when it comes to women specifically. I don't think I'd ever let a man move into a place that I would own/rent in my name. Either it would have to be his place or a rental that's in his name. I prefer to have a way to get out of …

I think they know, but saying straight up "I want to string you along as long as I can or until I find a new shiny woman" is an immediate turn off even for most pick me's. So they're trying to increase the probability of finding a woman. We all now they're really desperate, so any chance counts. If they're vague or indecisive (or put the responsibility on the woman e.g. "it depends on who I meet"), they have at least a small chance someone with low self esteem will bite.

That's a lot of words for saying "I'm a user looking for a sexdoll and a nanny". So I assume he was looking for some feedback on why he's not getting any? He got it and then just gets salty about it, smh. Don't ask if you don't wanna hear it, what a waste of time.

If it's so frustrating, why doesn't he get out of his mum's basement and be a productive member of society? Noone is forcing him to pretend he likes women. He can always buy a fleshlight and leave us alone (we'd appreciate that, thanks!). Everyone would benefit from it since he's clearly a trash human being.

I'd just stop discussing this topic with her, clearly you have different approaches. I don't care how fast paced the city I live in is. I'm not gonna sleep with a guy if I don't want him that way yet. Period. Even if that meant not dating at all. What kind of relationship could you possibly have with a man if you forced yourself to ignore your own needs just to keep him around? How many times would you have to do something like that over the span of the relationship? How long would such a relati…

At least when a woman friendzones a man, she sets him free. He can go look for someone else. This guy basically stole her life because he didn't have anyone else. So despicable, yet noone bats an eye.

Exactly. Just remembering the all the nice things I did, all the times I went out of my way to help some ass that didn't even appreaciate it and had no intention of ever returning the favor... I cringe so hard. Feels awful, but those feelings just force me to not behave that way anymore.

I was thinking about something like this being his image or understanding of love as well, you've articulated and explained it so well! I noticed in the past that I mistook love for this kind of longing as well. And only after finding FDS I realized that those relationships were toxic and I just have some attachment and self esteem issues to figure out so I don't fall victim to another toxic man in the future.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/22 01:34 PM

Yeah, exactly. So many commenters under the video are blabbing about how they want to try this on their gf, meanwhile all the advice on here (like the blood in the water test) is considered toxic and mean.

Hard agree. I feel the same. In the past, the guy always initiated the topic and it was only to complain about all the horrible crazy women he dated until he finally found someone great like me (sure, lol). And probably to fish out some ammo on me, traumas, past wounds etc. It never leads to anything good.

Exactly. Never heard this from a guy who was doing well for himself. Not to mention that if a guy is used just for money, he'll figure it out quick and can just drop the woman without losing much.

He can keep this opinion, noone can take it from him. But then he'll be the one crying that no woman wants him. Personally I could care less what opinion on this some man has. I used to have a very 50/50 mindset and it only got me in trouble, because as it is repeated on this sub over and over - a man spends money on things and people he cares about and values. In my relationships, "50/50" later showed in other areas as well, when I had problems and couldn't focus all of my attention on them wit…

When I was on OLD, I often got asked "Do you work or study?" At the age of 26, people usually already have completed their education, so I was always confused why this question pops up so often. I would understand if I got asked every now and then, but that question showed up with majority of the men I was willing to exchange more than one message with. Edit: I'm not sure what the thought process behind it is. Maybe I look like a doctor/med student, lol. Or maybe someone here has some insight.

Probably just genetics. My waist is small compared to my broad hips and a big butt as well, many women would observe me and make comments they're jealous when I used to wear pretty tight fitting clothes that would show off my shape. I have those proportions no matter what my current diet is. Everyone has a certain body type and when your weight changes, so do the proportions. Funny how trends change. Wtf. Most guys probably wouldn't even notice... I have a scar on my body that's a little bit bigger and at a very inconvenient place (by which I mean it's usually pretty difficult to hide it). Like I would mention something about it in a conversation and people would end up looking confused and then inspect that body part while being amused that they would never notice until I said something. Been there, done that. Definitely agree with this post! If you patch things up with a guy, he might keep up an act for a little while, but it'll turn into the same shit it was before. Sooner or later. Sometimes it can take a couple hours or day, other times months. You'll break up again, for the same reason. And since you took him back, he might even push further and do something worse. Not worth the headache. I've made this mistake a couple times, the bad ending is inevitable no matter what you…

I was selling some valuables months ago and had a guy with every university degree on the planet lowballing me hard. I politely declined, he proceeded to lecture me on how I won't get a better price and how foolish I am for not accepting. I was actually thinking the same. He might have been using the pandemic as an excuse since it may make the other person feel more sympathetic towards him. Surely he was single for a longer period of time even before the pandemic, right? He didn't "need" porn then? Or was he a fuckboy? Doesn't make the situation any better in either case.

Are you currently looking for a new job? If not, seems it's about time you do. The environment you're describing is not somewhere you'd be able to grow. I'm surprised someone would even behave this way. I've found people boring before, but that's just a reason to not engage a whole lot. Certainly not a reason to call them boring to their face. What's the point.

Out of curiosity, I entered a nickname he used on several sites into steam at some point (the relationship was already nonexistent, I was preparing to leave him by then) and... No job is worth this. You didn't aggressively yell at someone for three hours. Seriously, I have a family member that gets shit done by throwing a stink in the place of business if he has problems that don't seem to get solved, or don't get solved quickly enough. Goes in person, yells, gets it done on the spot. He's pretty scary when he's pissed and has quite the temper. Meanwhile, when I have an issue, I am polite and respectful. Mine does the same. "Forgets" about people's birthday's or makes excuses when someone reminded him in time he's supposed to get a gift for someone. If he does get a gift, it's something super cheap and tacky from a supermarket. And yet he expects money and video games from others. Just gross. My now ex boyfriend never initiated sex (only in the begining, when I didn't express any interest in it yet), but once we got past the first few times, suddenly he turned completely cold). Turned cold in other ways as well, pretty much forcing me into chasing him. He'd breadcrumb me if I seemed to get distant or if I was spending a lot of time with friends. So here I was, asking myself what's wrong with me and why doesn't he want me - he didn't initiate any physical contact and when I was the on…

Oh yes, the "just push me onto my side" was really ineffective. I was asked to do the same thing. But that just turns into me being woken up every hour having to do this. And after a few days? He just ignored me and didn't move, it got more and more difficult to make him stop every night. Useless advice. Plus, it's not my problem to solve, but HIS. This is really shitty behaviour, putting the responsibility on the other person. He just doesn't care, so he's not going to even to attempt to solve …

How very convenient for him... He can cheap out by living with several other people while benefiting from privacy his girlfriend's place provides while not having to contribute anything financially as splitting the cost with her or contributing at least something since he spends so much time there would end up costing him more than his current situation. Absolute trash. He's using her and doesn't care that if she does what he wants she's going to be losing a lot of money. The least he could do i…

Guess who didn't get a single decent night of sleep up until they got the fuck out of there... Yup, me. Another ex snored so bad I suspect he had sleep apnea. I also thought it must be fake after reading that. Pretty sure at least some of the men that got the texts would confront her and she wouldn't have to ask one. Plus, as you said, why in this day and age does a teenager need to borrow someone's phone? Just doesn't add up.

When I was diagnosed with cancer couple years ago, suddenly several people "surfaced" offering me support. With one exception, they were all women. We didn't know each other all that well and yet they were very accommodating and kind to me. Kept me company when I was sad and trying to recover. Well I mean... He might find himself lucky and somehow find her one day. But she's not going to want anything to do with him. If not for the reason he doesn't match up to her looks wise, it'll be his personality that'll turn her off. A guy spewing this kind of shit does not have his shit together either. But hey... I saw the candle, the store has several sex related candles like this (aka equally gross) and they sell REALLY well. That's the part I don't get. Or I saw some wax melts that were shaped like cubes and had sex positions on them, but all of the depictions were only positions that would be popular among men, not so pleasurable for the woman as usual... Oftentimes if I'm referred to a male doctor, I usually end up feeling like I'm being treated like a thing or an object. Last time I had to go through that, the doctor didn't even bother to speak to me the whole time, he would only talk to the nurse sporadically. It was horrendous. I felt invisible while he was actually going through the exam. How do you even manage to do that? Touch someone's body while acting like they're not there. With my last ex, when my birthday came, I got nothing. We were seeing each other only for a short while, so I let it slide. But I would have gotten him at least something small if it were the other way around, so there's really no excuse. Couple weeks later and it's Christmas. I did (with two partners actually). Nothing changed. The reason for breaking up was the same as for the first one. Everything soon went to the state the relationship was before (if not worse). If the relationship was bad enough you had to break it off / someone dumped you, it's not worth trying again. I've never seen it working out for other people either. It's a waste of time.

I used to be vegan and an ex straight up asked me if I could "at least" be vegetarian so it's less difficult to deal with going out to eat with me... The dude knew about it before we started dating. I have the same issue really. I live in a small town that doesn't have restaurants catering to my needs. When I used to date, I was accepting walk dates, so... I think I'd leave it to him, to try offering a solution. And as for me, I'd probably just prefer going to the theater or something like that. Nice date that's not focused around food.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/01/22 07:30 AM

Same here. Can't have gluten, dairy usually makes me sick and I'm a vegetarian to top it off. Turns most men off real fast, haha. They're such a rare specimen, they'll get snatched off the market asap. Whenever I meet a guy around my age who actually seems worth getting to know, he's already married, often alread has a kid too. I'd say it's suspicious to say the least. If it gets steamy and even I get excited and the guy is still soft... That's a red flag. Big one. Seems like it's a good time to start asking about what porn he likes to try finding out if he watches it or not. But he most likely does.

Oh boy, the cope is real with this one. It's so disappointing how common it has become for a guy to be so addicted to porn he can't keep it up. Completely different experience from a healthy guy without an addiction. Sad

Yeah, why's that a thing? I used to have a roommate and she wrote my number on a piece of paper and put it in some guys backpack. Stranger on the train that she liked... Then she would ask me every couple of days if I got a text. I was always like "wth are you talking about?" and she'd always say "nothing". Unfortunately, I think so too. The guy doesn't even need to be important to the church to be accepted or at least tolerated. Two of my female relatives both had their first relationships and first sex before they reached the age of consent. Which is the age of 15 in my country, by the way. Already pretty fucking low. You think anyone held the men accountable? Most family members weren't too happy (although some thought it was okay for some reason), but the men got away with it. They got what the…

Exactly this. He asks a woman that could be his daughter to come to his house, because he's cheap, can't be assed to get her at least a safe way of transportation (bad weather and at night!) and then he has the audacity to complain she didn't offer to bring something? Wtf. And they barely know each other. How fucked up is he to think it's normal to ask a woman to come to his house when they barely know each other? The entitled one is not the woman... Why is he shocked? What does he think a 26 year old could possible see in him? He's 43, he's old enough to be her dad. He's got nothing to offer besides money, entertainment. And he knows it. Yet he gets pissed and "oh poor me, everyone uses me." Well, mister, you're using the woman... Hello?

I appreciate that too, because I know what's up very quickly. I've run into this type in the wild myself. "Luckily" for me he was so bad at regulating his emotions and reactions that even my pick me past self didn't bother to pursue the relationship further. This is such a great post, definitely handbook worthy. Women tend to be too forgiving and give benefit of the doubt way too often, because they try really hard to make the relationship work. But you need two people putting in the effort or it'll be a waste of time. Which she will eventually realize, after the damage was done though.

The opposite can actually be a technique as well. Ex of mine didn't express any desire to touch me or a want to be close to me for several weeks. I didn't react to it, I barely knew him so I didn't even mind. And then he started commenting on it, how usually women complain by this point, blah blah blah. One of the major things I enjoy about being single - actually getting some sleep. I don't miss the sleep deprivation. I don't miss all the bitching about me being irritable after not being able to get any sleep because of an ex partner that I suspect has sleep apnea. Snored so bad even the neighbor heard him. When I said no wonder I'm not in a good mood when I had no sleep, he started to guilt trip me, about being mean over something he can't do anything about. Fuck you, my dear ex.

100% agree. I've been with an avoidant and it's just exhausting. You feel invisible and also like an annoyance even though you're ignored most of the time, so you don't actually even get a chance to "annoy" someone with your needs. Relationships with avoidants are exactly the relationships that make you feel much more lonely than when you've been single for a while. As shitty as that experience was, now I actually see the value in being single and cherish the solitude.

Couldn't have said it better. I've been taken for granted so many times (not just in romantic relationships) and given everything to the man I was dating only for my needs to be ignored. Where is the reciprocation screeching when it's the woman not getting anything, huh? I'm over it. I'm not moving a finger unless the guy earns it. FDS generally recommends not suggesting anything as the guy may agree to your suggestion at first, but will soon try to lowball you again. There were some discussion posts about this. Telling the guy you expect something else/more is not advised as he already low balled you - he already showed you he doesn't value you. I've heard a lot of talk about friends from my last ex, yet I've never met them. When I moved in with him, he never went to see said friends. Turns out all his social interaction was with colleagues and his mom. Maybe brothers if they needed something from him. So if a man talks about friends, not only could those relationships be superficial, in some cases they might be nonexistent. I'll definitely be paying more attention to this if I ever date a man again.

Doesn't seem like she has much empathy herself, she was probably projecting. Also, she clearly didn't have anything valid to support her argument about you having less empathy than her, so she just went straight to gaslighting. That's not a friend, you're better off without her. I'm sorry your plans are ruined. It's kind of a blessing in disguise though, as she showed you who she really is.

I think your feelings are completely justified, especially about the fact your "friend" just shrugged it off and didn't try to include you and have everyone get to know you. He has time to dangle the relationship potential carrot, but doesn't have time to become a couple. Makes sense. This is so sad. The woman is afraid to speak up so she doesn't lose what little she has now, which is being used by him as he pleases and is forgotten about when he has a "better" option available. She's better off without him.

I got over him fast, but not so much over the feelings of foolishness for giving him a chance and then taking abuse and being manipulated for months. I've seen a couple of posts of men saying they don't understand what the fuss is about, that FDS has a pretty straightforward message of "vet, don't date people that treat you badly, make sure your needs are met". So yeah, decent people know well that the message of FDS is nothing out of the ordinary, just common sense. Now of course the comments get out of hand under these kinds of posts, not much of a point to read them since it's just screeching into the void and crying about men and their se…

I've noticed the same. I felt a bit nostalgic recently and started listening to songs I used to listen to 10 years ago, only to get annoyed at the pick me bs. Picking media to consume has become pretty difficult. On the other hand, I cut down on time I spend on it which is a big win! More time for more meaningful things or resting properly.

Exactly. No man has ever outperformed me or any toy I tried in bed. And I'm sure there are lots of women experiencing the same. If toys and porn cut down on sexual harrasment, the world will be better off.

The only reason a woman will starfish is the man being shit in bed... Mate, if you're crap, I ain't picking up the slack, you can fuck off to your porn and sex dolls, I don't care. Knock yourself out. I've got plenty of toys myself, lol. They're much more fun than you.

Only thing I've ever heard about the whole "if I was a woman" scenario was always them using other men for money. Every single guy that was talking about it. Probably why they'll call any woman a gold-digger even if she has very small expectations - they would be gold-diggers, so she must be one. No way someone wouldn't be one, right?

Oh sure, being rejected is much worse than the risk of being assaulted for being honest and rejecting someone. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Must be nice to be so privileged that rejection is the worst outcome of a date. I'm actually enjoying the holidays for a change! No drama. Completely different experience now when I compare it to last year when I was dating an absolute scrote. There's a similar issue with its equivalent in diving equipment, lol. I've heard so many stories of men buying a much bigger size than their penis actually was only for them to end up accidentally peeing into the diving suit since it didn't fit them. I love your response to him! I used to feel as if being materialistic was a bad thing, as a kid I was shamed by a parent for having basic needs like needing money for a textbook or needing food, always being called a leech and these sort of things despite the parent never shelling out a penny of their own money since all the money was social security and child support. What a dickhead. She's selfish because she dares to feed the baby? And she takes too long? Is she supposed to force the baby to hurry up or what? She can't do anything about the speed, what is he on about. And somehow him wanting her to switch to a formula is normal behaviour? Formula shouldn't be used unless necessary, what the hell. A baby has many more needs than feeding. He can take care of those.

Also, if a man states most of these as his deal-breakers, suddenly it becomes okay somehow to have these criteria. But women should give a chance to everyone, otherwise they're mean and discriminatory. And if a woman does give chances this easily, she's desperate and something must be wrong with her. There isn't a surefire way to find a HVM (anywhere, big city or not), so you probably won't get some sort of magic formula from anyone here, other than the recommendation to vet people thoroughly. I think in some ways you're just not very compatible with your friends, but since they all seem to value the same things, you get the "why can't I be just like them and fit in" types of feelings. I can't stand most books, movies or TV series that involve either romance or depict relationships. Most of them are a complete cluster fuck. Usually the husband/boyfriend is treating the woman like crap and if not, someone close to him is. Pretty rare to see something that portrays healthy couples, but romance and healthy relationships would make for movies that just don't sell so it only works if the romance part is secondary to the main theme.

That I believe actually. Just the part a man would see a woman that's not related to him as his "sister" just seems bs to me. I've never heard a guy say that.

Ooof. That was my last relationship in a nutshell. Thanks for the reminder I've gotten out of my personal jail. 🙏 Every day has been a blessing since then. It's frustrating to be ridiculed for wanting and expecting normal relationship behaviour from a partner. I'll add one that drove me crazy: Partner, who will accept being completely ignored in moments when they need emotional support.

I bet if you went heavier on make up, you'd be told you're the most gorgeous woman on Earth compared to all those plain Janes around.

Wearing make up is the perfect example. I either don't wear any whatsoever or just a bit of powder over sunblock because it makes me look shiny. The amount of men telling me something along the lines that finally they met a woman who doesn't have a cake face is just ridiculous. I rarely see women who have loads of make up on their face, where the hell are they meeting them? What pisses me off, is the vocabulary they use. There are several derogative terms in my language for this and 10 out of 10…

I don't really get either, but some men enjoy being humiliated during sex for some reason. It's probably a minority, but they exist. Edit: In the past, some guy straight up admitted to me, he loves watching a specific category of porn. It was women in heels stepping on men's balls. He was afraid to try, but at the same time he dreamed of one day doing that with a woman. Both categories of men are fucked up, just in a different way. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh. I've read a post on a different platform years ago about this. It was from a woman who was grossed out and weirded out by it. Apparently her long term boyfriend was into it and was persuading her into trying it with him for some time. Eventually she gave in, peed on him, felt absolutely uncomfortable, embarrassed and disgusting, but said he was over the moon and turned on, couldn't shut up about it and wanted to do it again. What a selfish prick, seriously. I used be non-judgemental towards …

Lol, what resources are we even talking about? Majority of men are stingy. I've heard the sentence "women just want my money" so many times... And that's always from men who ask you out on walk dates. Gotta save that money for the next PlayStation and all. I'm glad women can get their own resources nowadays. Having a job is less effort than begging some guy to buy me a 5 dollar coffee, only to be called a gold digger.

Well, the purpose of hobbies isn't really for other people to benefit from it, so I don't have anything against having language learning as a hobby (I like it myself, otherwise I probably wouldn't speak English and be able to read this sub). My problem with it is that it's one of those hobbies people often straight up lie about just to make themselves look more interesting when they have nothing else to "brag" about. When I was on OLD, a lot of men would list 2-3 languages they can speak. And th…

Yes, that unfortunately also happens pretty commonly. I actually experienced the same in the past, guy was more into his ferret and videogames than anything else. I was just an escape from boredom and was treated as such. Just used as a resource, discarded when I was no longer needed. Gross.

Recently there was a post or a comment from someone who mentioned that some men are only capable of seeing a woman as just another pet that they love. Yes, I wouldn't say a man being good with animals necessarily means he's a good person. But if he's mean to animals, it's a sure fire way to tell it's time to drop him. That's how I approach this type of advice given here.

Have you read the handbook at all? Innocent until proven guilty approach when dating can get you in serious trouble and in unsafe situations. I've been brought up to be a huge people pleaser, so I understand your struggle and why you think this way, but if there's anything you should take from the handbook, it's to forget about the whole innocent until proven guilty and do it the other way around. I think it's very dependent on who are you dealing with in the moment. A lot of men might be surprised and will leave you alone, but eventually you might bump into someone who'll be aggressive and compromise your safety. I've stopped going along with their bs if I don't feel unsafe and instead just try to not laugh at their pathetic jokes out of habit, have zero reaction, act completely unmoved etc. This is also something that surprises them, and I think it probably has a similar risk of some me…

This is so true. I knew a guy who was bad-mouthing a woman, because apparently she was a complete party girl and hooked up with men regularly during those parties, so she had a high body count. What got me though, was that he didn't forget to mention that he slept with her as well, because he knew "she would sleep with anyone and it would be easy to get sex from her". New hobby, pick up a new skill, find a new girlfriend or friends, anything. But I guess he has no goals or self respect. I mean, I understand why he doesn't want to marry her - no way in hell I'd marry someone who's with me thinking I'm not good enough for them. But why get back together? He just wanted someone to stroke his ego, so he was okay with wasting years of her life. And his. Both of them could have been in happy and mutually loving relationships for all we know. Just not together.

Why the fuck is he with her then!? Bro, if you hate the idea of her settling for you, dump her and find someone else who doesn't feel this way about you. I don't get it. He'll date her, he'll fuck her, but boy oh boy when marriage comes up, all of a sudden he brings up she must be settling for him. The comments are telling her to just talk to him, are you kidding? If it was the girlfriend doing this, everyone would be saying he needs to dump her... It's like that post about a woman not letting her bf orgasm during sex. That's an interesting approach. Do you give inappropriate emotional responses only in one on one scenarios or have you used it in a group setting as well? I always thought only prison sex was about power (I had a sociology class and this was one of the topics, how hierarchies in prisons work and how sex is one of the ways to enforce it), but looking back at my relationships or reading so many sad stories of women on FDS or outside of it... Seems like most sex is just about power. Mutual pleasure, which should be the goal, is a rarity.

I think this is a great way to get to know the techniques, but personally I can't stomach it. I can read what all the women on FDS tell us about, their experiences, some even summarised red flags and behaviours to look out for on this sub that came from the pick up artists. That "translated" version is also upsetting, knowing so many women had to go through those things or I went through some of them as well, but that's probably the only way I'm able to learn about it without having a mental bre…

And then he will complain they wake him up at night, because the baby is crying and he can't get sleep for work. Also it seemed like he resents her for earning more. Why was that important to mention when it has nothing to do with house chores and pregnancy?

I love this response! I'm the same in this regard and couldn't put it into words, this cleared things up for me. I wouldn't necessarily say you've done something wrong, but in my opinion, asking where you stand was a waste of time. If he was really into you, you wouldn't be in a situation where you would need to ask. A guy that genuinely likes you won't risk losing you. And after not seeing you for a while, he'd miss you and want to see you as soon as possible. Instead, you just got feelings of anxiety - as soon as that happens, you know he's not the right fit (I just wish I knew this myself sooner!).

But he sure was proud to snatch a woman that was way too good for him, I was a status symbol. If he's a scrote, he's gonna scrote.

Yeah, same. He'd always go to bed, ignore me and I'd hear him snore within minutes. Once he just commented "you're pretty sniffly today" and then went to sleep as usual. How observant. If I cried during the day in front of him, he never tried to comfort me. I don't even want to know how fucked up of a person one must be to behave this way. I have a strong sense of empathy and could never fall asleep peacefully next to a crying person even if I disliked them. An acquaintance of mine has been deal…

Another version of this is when you bring up issues, problems with his behaviour and how it makes you feel (you know, the good ol' communicate), he shrugs or just looks at you, looking all bewildered, and doesn't say anything. RUN FOR THE HILLS if this happens to you. That dirtbag will go happily to sleep while you're next to him sobbing night after night.

Because he put you down so much. That's why it's difficult. It was so hard for me to leave my last ex, even though I knew he was horrible to me. But the constant put downs, ignoring, coldness and gaslighting worked so damn well. It was like being paralyzed. Just waiting for a problem so big I just COULD NOT stay no matter what mental gymnastics I did. Now, having some time to myself, seeing things in perspective, finally... Yes, the world is full of pretty girls. In other news, water is wet... But is that all that he's dating you for? You're just another pretty girl to him? Also more selfish to have children while not having basic skills to take care of them or being willing to give them what they need. I grew up with an abusive alcoholic mother who refused to work and just collected social security and spent that mostly on booze. Childhood full of poverty, abuse and social isolation. It's been years since I left that situation, but the consequences of those experiences don't go away, I just get better and better at dealing with it and keeping my shit together on m…

I did, eventually. But that meant deleting majority of messages. I guess guys on OLD in my country don't know how to talk to women.🤷🏻‍♀️ I deleted my profile and going back is probably a waste of time for me.

Doesn't help! I'm really into trying new cuisines and I had that in my profile among interests when I was on OLD. I even mentioned I enjoy candle lit dinners. The result? Walk/coffee/drink dates suggestion. If they don't have the intention of going on a proper date, they won't ask you out on one no matter what you have in your profile. In my case, only one dude asked me out for dinner, but he did in in the first message and when I "demanded" we get to know each other first, because there's no po…

Whatever the reason, there's also a pretty high chance he uses porn to substitute sex, so beware of that. I've had bad experiences with men who lost their virginity late. Either because they were a walking red flag (although not obvious initially) or pornsick. If you decide to ignore the fact you were put off by it, be very careful when vetting.

That's so gross, unfortunately it's more common than one would think. Recently, there was a reporter fired from a big company in my country. Turned out he'd been sending dick pics to his female colleagues for months. Now it's all over news and he is apologizing on social media, claiming he's getting help... I'm glad he was fired, must have been a nightmare to work with him.

Exactly! I get over stimulated pretty easily myself and need plenty of alone/down time, but I try my best to balance everything out in a way it doesn't burden people around me. Basic adult skills and all, I'm not looking to mother someone, I've got plenty of my own stuff to keep in mind. We're sold this fairy tale of romantic relationships and happiness, meanwhile the reality is that a romantic relationship ends up being a massive burden for a woman in most cases.

I find it unbelievable that some men think a woman is to blame for being raped if she was drunk. So, if he got wasted and a man raped him, would he also think this way? Was it his own fault? I think not. There goes the logical sex again... But of course, noone wants to touch his dingleberried ass, so he's safe, drunk or not. He'll never need to ask himself this question.

I think the reason why they bitch so much about catfishing and request a today taken photo to make sure the woman looks the same as in her profile is because they lie about so many things. Basically they think the woman is lying about as many things as they do. I actually didn't have this happen to me, but a friend of mine got requests for current photos. Yes, very needed reality check as I was a massive pick me. I always needed the guy going past a boundary hard or too long to finally give up on his sorry ass. And yeah, no shame about it nowadays apparently. I've met guys that wanted to swap links to fav porn or talk about what messed up things we've come across to get weird kink recommendations. I think that's the number one mistake women make. Not listening to their intuition and giving someone the benefit of the doubt undeservingly. I've been so guilty of exactly that, I often feel ashamed when I think about my experiences in the past.

Yes, yes and yes. Couple years ago, I was seeing a guy who apparently lost his virginity reaching his thirties. I didn't really care, but now I know it's a red flag. Dude had issues keeping it up. I didn't even have to snoop though... He was willing to show me what porn he has on his computer, he was so proud about having it, like wtf. I didn't need to see what messed up things he's into, the fact his computer is full of porn was enough info for me to know I'm in a bad situation. 👍

True, but they'll talk shit about those as well anyway. The amount of times I was told how stupid someone's ex was and how great it is that I am smart... I didn't get treated any better, I can tell you that. I wouldn't even be surprised if I got the worse treatment honestly. I'll much rather become a living alone cat lady if my other option is some shithead that's going to punish me for having a mind of my own.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 06:23 PM

Exactly what I was thinking while watching that. I'd guess the average person would share something that fits the criteria, but won't make them look like an asshole (I saw the post on a different sub earlier and people mostly mentioned the pineapple on pizza as a decent answer). But apparently not, or at least it didn't seem so. Then it quickly dawned on me, they indeed were probably trying, which makes it scary af.

Maybe it's a "must not have a bigger debt than me" type of a deal, 8k sounds oddly specific. I'm thinking maybe he wants to shack up with someone, split bills 50/50, but is not willing to have that money going more towards her bills or some shit like that. So, preferably no debt, but since he most likely has debt himself, it would be a moronic ask. (Not that the rest isn't, lol)

I've had an ex that would probably go through a checklist or something. He'd start a convo with a hello and then proceeded to ask me the same like 10? questions everyday. No change whatsoever, lol. And it was all smalltalk stuff, like how was work and what did you have for dinner. I complained about it being boring and he was oh so surprised. Couldn't fathom why I didn't like texting with him. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Didn't like when I tried to talk about different stuff either, wtf.

It's super common actually! Especially on OLD. I've tried online dating for a bit and a big chunk of messages were sleep inducing copy pastes. Makes you miss the heys and how are yous, because that at least is a quick read. I never understood that. Making a light-hearted conversation isn't that difficult (assuming there's some chemistry). And I'm socially awkward af... So, what's their excuse?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/09/21 08:37 PM

Exactly! How are these women taking them seriously!? Unreal.

Exactly. Taking things slowly with the wrong person for you might just make them drop their mask that much faster.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/09/21 09:37 AM

That happened to me so many times. I think they're just shit at conversation and know they have to pretend to be interested to get anywhere, so this "solves" both problems. Well, assuming the woman is desperate enough to find someone I guess. Whenever I read that low effort crap, I feel like my insomnia problems have just been solved.

Thank you for this post, it's a great summary. On the other hand it's really sad and disgusting. I couldn't finish reading past the second screenshot. Sad we have to look out for this behaviour.

Oh, wow. I've never been to Asia, so I never experienced that. But I'll keep that in mind, I wanted to travel to some countries there eventually and was considering Korea as well.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/09/21 04:39 PM
43

Really? Which countries? I am from a Slavic country so I have the typical features and resemble a "Russian woman" to a degree, but I've never heard of this interpretation. I always just assumed people don't know much about other Slavic countries, so Russia is the default. That's just gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/09/21 03:11 PM
119

I always thought that was just gross. And then they acted all surprised why I don't find it funny. Oh, I don't know... Maybe because it's apparently normal to turn your girlfriend/wife into a maid? Maybe because in a relationship I'd be expected to clean up after some man baby? I wonder why I don't find that funny. Sounds like the people who find it funny don't have many functioning brain cells.

Exactly, what are they thinking? 🤦🏻‍♀️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/09/21 03:06 PM

So far I've done one trip to a popular European city and men just can't resist the temptation to talk to a woman that's alone, it's annoying. They don't even try to hide their intentions much, they'll practically tell you they started the convo because you look like a tourist and they'd like to "spend" the evening with you (nice way to put that they want to just fuck you and then send you back to wherever you came from, huh).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/09/21 01:39 PM
167

I get hit on for looking Russian apparently. I'm not Russian. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Even if you didn't look like a person from any continent/country, the fact that you (may) have a vagina is reason "good enough" to be treated like garbage and fetishised just for existing. Male deprivity has no end.

Probably. Low effort was his way of life in every area. So disappointing.

I never understood why men do this. Last time I dolled up a little, just to feel nice, my ex wore his shitty ugly dirty clothes he wore all the time and when he saw the difference between the effort of the both of us he was beaming with pride. His fucking eyes sparkled, so proud he's a dirty slob! What the hell. I didn't even put that much effort in, just wore a nice dress instead of jeans and a hoodie, lol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/09/21 08:14 AM

This is so common, it's unreal. My ex was an expert in admitting his shortcomings especially if I went to visit family or a friend overnight. I guess he was worried I would come to my senses after having a good time and spending a lot of time with someone who actually acted like they give a fuck. So he was all apologetic only to act like a complete shithead the next day. 🥱

It's so disappointing to know someone like that is part of your family and every know and then you're pretty much obligated to engage with them and all the bs that comes with it. That woman sounds lovely! And I'm glad she loved herself enough to walk away. He would have ruined her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/09/21 09:10 PM

My ex got on OLD in less than a week. Yet he was mad I left him. Lol. Despite him admitting in a moment of weakness it was all his fault, but then continuing the bs of him not doing anything wrong. I hope he's stuck on OLD... well... forever. So he doesn't make another woman question her sanity again.

Exactly. I've been reading FDS for months and it also took months for it to actually sink in and for me to start applying it to my life. Which now I'm like... Why!? Why so long? I stayed in a bad relationship. Thanks to it I found FDS though. Eventually broke the relationship off and leveled up. But honestly? I have way more work ahead of myself. There's still some pick me tendencies I've got to get rid of and I've only recently realized that I'm finally almost over the breakup. Luckily this com…

One of the reddest red flags in a profile. I always swiped left no matter how good the rest of the profile looked. Personally I never put a group photo in my profile. It's always just me. I don't see a reason to upload any other type of photos. It's suspicious af. If the guy doesn't take photos a whole lot, he can take 10 minutes out of his day and take a selfie. When he sees a friend or family, they can snap a photo of him while out. Easy. I don't take photos much, but that's what I did when I …

In my country, men on OLD typically spend all of their free time in forrests for some reason. Everyone is super into nature, super sporty, likes camping... Of course expecting a proper date and not a coffee makes me an unacceptable date since they all like everything that's free. Probably because they spent it all on gaming sets and cigarettes. 👍 OLD is trash. Interesting how men really are suspiciously similar on OLD. But I guess every country has a different standard 😵

I often got asked what I look for in a man or what does my prince/dream man look like. That question always makes me feel uncomfortable and I try to dodge it, but men just refuse to take a hint. Last time that happened I asked questions that probably made it seem like I don't understand the question. He insisted on elaborating and after my third question he said he's giving up because now he feels like an idiot (as he should!). Feels draining to have to even engage in that conversation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/09/21 08:07 AM
47

I wouldn't. It's best not to tell him because then he won't improve his "game". If you don't tell him, he's just going to tell the same to the next woman and she'll know he's not worth it and discard him. Which is what he deserves. If you tell him, there's a pretty big risk he'll take it as an advice and will not mention it or lie he doesn't watch it. Or he might be dumb enough to admit it anyways, but you never know.

Are you me? Knew a guy since the first grade. Dated around age 19. And then I quickly realized what a horrible person he was. Looking back, he wasn't even that much of a good friend. He just had no friends and I was willing to be his friend and basically got stuck with him I guess... Now I don't make friends with men unless they're friends with someone who is close to me and HV. Those people usually tend to be decent. Not always though.

Wow, I needed to hear this before I got into my last relationship! I never thought of it that way, but damn. You're so right!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/09/21 06:32 PM

Definitely! I was in that relationship for seven months, ended it about two months ago and I still often feel hurt by it and by how he treated me the whole time. Nip it in the bud and you'll probably barely remember his existence in a matter of weeks. That's what I'll do if I ever meet someone like that again. You deserve much better than this cold hearted guy.

Wow, get rid of him. I wish I knew how problematic this behaviour was with the last guy I was dating! He would never comfort me, he always just ignored me or acted like everything was normal. Eventually he started to be the cause of me needing someone to comfort me. The longer I stayed the more often I needed someone to comfort me. But he never bothered, not even when he was the source of unhappiness because of his shitty treatment. POS. Don't do the same thing to yourself. You'll be better off …

Wow, how awful. I went for a hike date during covid (prior FDS, living alone sure is lonely) and even though there were no threats involved, he was a psycho as well. And sadly I went along with it, naivety got the best of me. Anyone coming up with a date idea that's in the middle of nowhere is a damn psychopath. Lol, what a dickhead. Can't fathom how stupid some of them are. What was he expecting? Even if she wasn't as attractive, she'd still have more options... What was so special about him he thought he'd score more/better looking than his partner? What a joke.

The "will it mater in 7..." advice is just amazing! I will use this from now on. Gives you perspective. I used to ask myself the question "what's the worst thing that can happen?" and most of the times I realized even the worst case scenario wasn't all that bad compared to the lost opportunity.

I've deleted all the apps yesterday, after a month. I actually sometimes keep thinking about getting a kitty instead as well. It boils down to your options/lifestyle as a puppy will need more time from you since you have to walk them frequently. With a kitty, it would be more flexible since a cat might not need as much attention or should I say it won't be as strict on your time. They still need a lot of attention and love, but kitties can take care of their bathroom needs themselves and usually enjoy some quiet alone time. With puppies it might …

She sounds like a lovely lady! I wonder how she ended up with such an ass. I get he'd like to maximize on his profits for selling his property, but it's her property and her decision, so he has zero say in it. Just because you're buying a house together, doesn't give you any right to decide for your partner that hasn't even married you yet! Not to mention it won't affect him in any way.

I absolutely agree! The signs were there, but I noticed it further into the relationship and had strong feelings, so I ignored it. Now I realize that's a path to hell, way to make things even more difficult for myself. Exactly! It shows they care. My dad knows to not leave a spoon in his girlfriend's mug if he's making tea for her for example. It's such a minor thing, but he remembers. I remember small details about people I care deeply about too, which is why I think these details matter a lot when vetting, since your significant other should be someone you care deeply about.

Sometimes I find it unbelievable how easily they will tell you they're LV. Why is it such a problem you like your coffee made a certain way? Why do they get annoyed or embarrassed over something so minor... I love that someone actually tried to memorize it so they can bring it to you, that's sweet. Now I kinda regret I like my coffee very plain and simple, it sounds like a great vetting strategy. 😄

It was sad to see there were people trying to throw her under the bus when she was clearly disadvantaged by her disability. I've actually run into several people like that and I just don't understand the reasons behind it. Some men just lie about the stupidest things, I don't get it. Like stuff that does not matter in the slightest. If that's what you're looking for, then it's perfectly fine to expect daily contact. You'll naturally be more inclined to be interested in people who have the same texting behaviours and people who are different from that will turn you off. A guy that suddenly changes the pattern after the first date is definitely a red flag. From what you described I think the best decision was the one you made - let him go.

You don't need to know whether they're faking it or not. A person that needs to work on their mental health and deal with something serious is not supposed to be dating. Not until they deal with their shit. That's just plain selfish and what that says about them is they prioritize their needs over their (potential) partner's even if that means they will hurt them by their actions. A child is a lifetime commitment for a woman most of the time! So many men just "opt out" and act like they never had a kid or do so little for the kid, they find having kids an easy thing. That's probably why for a man having one is no big deal.

How in the hell is wearing more covering clothing considered inappropriate wear!? Aren't women always told they caused problems to themselves by wearing a skirt too short or a revealing top? And how they should be more modest, blah blah. If a woman wears something revealing, she's punished. If a woman wears something that's modest, she's punished. The fuck. Same with make up. If a woman wears it, she's accused of catfishing men. I rarely wear make up. Guess what. It has been a problem for severa…

Damn, I guess I should consider a different brand next time I'm getting a phone then, because this is really annoying. I didn't have to look for anything and got notified, kinda beats the point of blocking. Worked like a charm on messenger apps though, but that's not enough. 🤦🏻‍♀️

How? I blocked the number in my settings and then got a notification I got a message from a blocked number. Which kind of doesn't make sense. :( Happens with calls as well, the phone won't ring, but I'll get a notification I missed a call from a blocked number. Do you use an app or is my phone just weird? Maybe it's the brand of the phone.

Yes! They won't admit! I recently got out of my relationship, because I found out at the begining of it he was still dating his now ex, so he basically had two girlfriends at some point and then I guess decided to keep me as the main/only one or something like that. And then other lies and pretending just kept coming and coming. Honestly, if he wasn't cold and dismissive towards me for months at that point, I bet I'd be dumb enough to stay. Thank god he was an asshole on top of that, because it made it so much easier to leave even though I was still very much in love with him. It was painful, I even wanted to go back to him, I was an absolute mess the first few days. Now that I had some time to process it since I haven't seen him in weeks... Honestly? Yes, so true! I should have done the same and it would have saved me so much time and it wouldn't be as painful to end it. I was lied to in the begining, about his living and relationship situation. He ended up admitting part of it 2 months in (with some lies on top to make it seem relatively acceptable) and months and many lies later I found out he was still in a relationship when he met me and broke it off when he was sure I'll stay. If that's what you want and that's what will make you comfortable, then I don't see the problem with it. If it's a deal-breaker for the guy, then you're not meant for each other. The fact so many of them KNEW the woman was most likely trafficked and didn't have sex with strangers out of her own will and they slept with her anyway is just schocking to me. I think I lost last drop of my naivety today. Men paying for sex are the lowest of scum. Fucking gross.

Yeah, it's pretty much a blessing if someone like that doesn't find the woman attractive. 👍

Good! It's awesome to hear you stand up for yourself like that in such situations. That's definitely something I aspire to.

Yeah, I don't know why that is. This one guy went on a rant, telling me how he put effort into the conversation, meanwhile I was being passive and didn't add anything, lol. Every convo went like according to a script - hey, how are you, what were you doing today, how was work, I'm bored lol what are you doing... How many ways are there to respond to this boring shit!? I actually made effort to keep it interesting and changed topics to something more fun, but that just gets old since I've been th…

Well, that's completely up to you. But you're calling it a burden, so then my question is why would you do something that's a burden to you for the sake of a complete stranger who seems to be lazy and doesn't put effort into talking to you? Seems like a lot of effort from you if these types of conversations burden you. I can't stand the small talky, low effort stuff myself, I mean, who even enjoys this crap? And I have the same experience as you, it never gets better. These conversations are laz…

"He said his plan was for her to come over there." When exactly did the guy think this up and when was the point he told her? You didn't mention that explicitly, but it sounds that wasn't the plan in the begining. Not for her anyway. Did she know any of this? Sounds to me, she didn't. And he assumed she'd give everything up for him, no questions asked. Didn't even consider to ask her ahead of time if she'd be comfortable with such a massive change. Personally, I think he's LV. And she's better o…

The sandwich line has gotten really old. I'd think sexist men would at least come up with something new instead of repeating one sentence for years.

Wow, that's not gonna end well. I refuse to be someone's girlfriend unless they're serious about me without me having to put my foot down. I think if they say yes after being given a choice of a serious relationship or nothing, it's most likely because they would have problems finding a new woman to use.

Very true. I used to explain in detail what went wrong and why I wanted to stop speaking to someone. I was naive enough to think they'd take it as constructive criticism and think about it, learn from it. Some of it at least. But no, I got called all sorts of names and adjectives and was basically told my reasons make no sense. Well, what a waste of mind space and time. So I stopped replying to people. Again, name calling and I got spammed by "why are you not replying!?" types of messages, tryin…

This is a very good idea. Some would probably keep starting conversations by asking for help knowing she has to reply, but eventually it would hopefully get old for them and they'd give up. Or snap and write something nasty. In which case she can send a screenshot to her boss or HR or something and not get in trouble for blocking a "customer".

I don't have experience with this particular situation, so someone on this sub will probably be more helpful. But here's my two cents: You've mentioned a lot of your colleagues are married women and they haven't been very helpful. I assume they'll tell the customer their husband wouldn't like if they were going out with other men? Since this is a difficult situation to get out of and you can't just block them and you have to remain being nice to them, I'd probably just straight up lie and used t…

Exactly! I've never given birth, but damn does it sound scary and painful... I would more than gladly just stand there and be supportive to the person in labour if that means I don't have to do any of that. I'd probably love them even more after, if they're willing to go through all that. But no, there are stories about men asking for an extra stich, how damn long it takes for the woman to not be in pain and be able to have sex again and that she has the audacity to actually take care of the bab…

I never cared about the height of men, up until a specific "boyfriend" I dated. I was tiny bit taller, but it wasn't noticeable since he always wore sneakers with really thick soles (insecure much?). I once put on shoes that had tiny heels, normally I wore flat shoes. But oh boy, did I get told off for it... Sorry I'm taller and have style, jeez.

What would be an appropriate age difference? What's too much? Or is it more about what stage of life is the person at? (Genuinely curious)

is spot on. Ex of mine would not shut up about Elon Musk and all he cared about was himself and what I should do to make him happy and satisfied. Whenever I'd disagree with him, he'd just say I'm wrong and that was that, no explanation, no reasoning behind it. "You're wrong" and "no" were enough in his mind. Just too full of himself.

Exactly. When I talked to a man about being single for years, I'd always get the reaction "I could never do that". Especially if that guy had a ton of issues. That amount of selfishness will probably never stop surprising me.

What a great reminder. I used to be guilty of that and contact some of the LVM I previously blocked when I was feeling very lonely. And guess what... It never turned out well and they would end up getting blocked again.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. But still... There's literally no benefit to this. He'd need the same amount of product for a certain period of time anyway. Might as well use the correct one. Yet he proceeds to fuck his skin up and then he'll be surprised when a woman will be grossed out by him and will refuse to touch him. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes, same! Guy I dated seemed to be oblivious to the fact it's not exactly common to have a penis of the size of a thumb... I told him I don't think a regular condom will fit him properly and he insisted it fit ok after putting it on. I'm still confused af about that.

I have dated a guy with a micropenis, he was super selfish in bed, never did a thing to (try) make me feel good and then he was oh so surprised I never wanted to sleep with him. But honestly - I don't think I'd be able to tell if I met a guy like him. He never bragged about his size. He also started pressing me for sex pretty early on as well, so taking things slowly wouldn't necessarily be a tell for me.
