Hello ladies!

Couple months ago, I ended a very bad relationship with a narc. Probably the most devastating relationship I've ever been in. Personally, I think I have a lot to work on since I've always had self-esteem issues, low sense of self-worth and I have a really bad habit of underestimating myself in just about any area you could think of. And unfortunately it showed in my choice of previous partners...

Currently, I don't think I should be dating. Besides my personal issues, I'm busy with finishing my degree and working at the same time. I've quickly forgotten what free time is once my semester has started. :)

While my head tells me it's not a good time to seek romantic relationships, I find myself getting sad over not having a partner. I try to do my best at working on my goals and improving myself, working on my issues, but I still feel bummed out on a regular basis, "longing-for" a relationship. Which also then has negative effects on my efforts to work on my goals too.

Have you ever been in this situation and managed to get over it? Gotten from feeling like a mess to being happy by yourself?

I feel pretty embarrased feeling this desperate when I know it'll take a long time before I'd find a good partner (and also knowing it's best for me to not have one at the moment), but I just can't seem to get over these feelings. Any insight will be appreaciated, thank you. :)
