I just do moisturizer and sometimes I’ll do eyeliner and mascara. Sometimes just curl the lashes and mascara. Occasionally for a party I’ll put on blush. It feels so good to be natural and let my skin breathe. Do what makes you feel happiest!

Aw I’m sorry to hear. My dad is such an HVM. And he only surrounds himself with quality people. Therefore, it’s a no brainer for me! My boyfriend is the first guy to treat me like a queen. The only man before who has treat me like this is my dad and brother. It took a while to meet him and a lot of LVMs before I got there, but it’s clear we both see each other as marriage material. He made Valentine’s Day weekend so special for me. And I hope every person finds someone who treats them like this!…

Through family. I met my HVM bf because our fathers are friends.

I was told by a man I was too passionate and I needed to “chill.” I told him I wouldn’t make myself smaller so I was more digestible for him. Now I’m dating a HVM who knows I’m marriage material and I know he is too!

Seriously this. I’ve said that women tend to find someone they really want to be with. Whereas with men, it seems more to be whoever is with them at the time they feel they’re ready to finally commit. It’s no wonder a lot of men cheat and pine after the one that got away.

I was working retail and two black men were arguing about who they were voting. One said to the other: I can’t believe you won’t vote for Hillary just bc she’s a woman. I was like WTFFFFF internally…imagine how furious he’d be if I didn’t vote for someone bc they were black or a man. That reasoning wouldn’t sit well w him I’m sure

I just had the same experience happen to me with a man who is 36 years older than I. He was teaching me how to shape and glass boards. A month later he tells me he can’t train me bc he has feelings for me. He’s married and way too old. I don’t understand it.

Seems he’s unable to be with anybody really. He changes women every few months. Then retreats. The process happens all over again. I understand the trauma he experienced in childhood has affected him deeply. And I don’t think it’s an excuse. I think he’s real w me. The part you are most right about, however, is that I need to move on. Bc it’s clear he’d rather be w a woman out of chillness and comfort instead of read, deep, committed (somewhat scary) but real love. I’ve seen plenty examples of i…

This is so true. There is a man I’ve always had in the back of my head. We have crossed paths for the past three years. He said he feels the same about me. He feels the intensity, the magnetism between us, the profound, deep something that is indescribable between us. However he’s dating someone else. When I asked why, he said “they vibed and it’s chill. It’s what i need right now.” When I asked him why over the past three years he runs away from me, he said he’s scared, he’s never felt this way…

You can learn something from anyone. Take the good and leave the bad. There are things we can learn from these men and do our own elevated twist and add our flair as women. It’s like when anyone gives me advice. You have to have discernment and sift through it.

Just ended a 20 year relationship last week. She is LV. The story is so stupid and too long to text but essentially she ignored my sister and my texts saying we’d like to talk to her after her birthday party (she was acting super rude and mean and got way too drunk). She ignored us for three weeks because she doesn’t want to face herself. She drunkenly approached my sister at a wedding in front of everyone and yelled at her. I had to separate her from my sister. We no longer speak. Clearly. It’s…

I feel this. I’ve dated men 5-6 years younger than me (I’m 30, about to be 31) and mostly European (I’m from the States, though first gen with Middle Eastern/Euro blood) and Jesus they’re more mature than the 30-50 year olds I’ve given chances to. I currently am secretly crushing on a guy who is mid-60s, which is so odd bc he’s my parents age, and I just wish we were the same age. I just like him as a person, as he is kind, successful, funny, humble, confident, and just an overall badass. I just…

I knew how to swim before I could walk. I took lessons as a child. I first took surf lessons in Maui. Then was on and off for three years doing it, but wasn’t getting any good. I’ve been consistent for the past year and some change, I go out 4-5 times a week and usually surf dawn patrol. I took some lessons out here in Malibu too.

First def learn to swim. Then go to your local beach or point break and get into it. I surf up and down SoCal and when I travel. Malibu is my main spot.

Yup. Men stay away from me because they know I’m not stupid enough to have anything fly under my radar. Most feel x rayed and I’ve been told I’m intimidating and judgmental and that a lot of men don’t feel good enough for me (it’s even been said to my parents when I wasn’t around). Good. Let them be afraid, as they should. A man I surf with said I was the kiss of death to men: beautiful and intelligent. And that only a real man could handle a woman like me. For me it’s a hard no. I don’t play them and I’ve never dated someone who does. I also am not into guys who watch a lot of sports. If you want to go out and play sports, that to me makes sense (I’m a bit athletic myself as I surf and play tennis. I like running, lifting, and hiking too). Those are my boundaries 🤷🏽‍♀️

I purposely don’t let a man come over unless he is my boyfriend. Even the few male friends I have can meet me somewhere public. This is my space and I don’t need memories of disrespectful men tainting it as it did in the past.

I dated a guy for 4 1/2 months earlier this year. Really great in a lot of ways. But I’d do my best to dress as attractive and put together as possible. My friends and I took him to a nice restaurant in a trendy part of town and he showed up underdressed. My friends were also meeting him for the first time. I wasn’t happy. And I kept seeing it time and time again. Some other incompatibilities showed up too. I broke it off with him. If I’m putting in this sort of effort why can’t you?

I dated a director who would flirt with petite brunettes (yup he has a type and I fit it) who were aspiring somethings in the entertainment field. He’d fuck them and then chuck them. I called him out on his behavior and I’m prob one of the only girls from his past he actually respects, but is terrified of me. I only pay for something by the third date…and it’s usually ice cream down the street for dessert as a thank you. And it’s a way for us to walk and talk some more if I like him and the vibe. Very few men have gotten this far. Most men don’t last past 2 1/2 weeks with me. I can’t stand most men after that point.

The only HVM I’ve met so far is my dad and brother. Some dads of my friends too. But that’s really it. Maybe a handful of family friends that are married to some excellent men. But it’s a small list. My ex had a lot of HVM qualities but was also missing some crucial ones. He treated me and others well and is respectful and kind. But not ambitious and didn’t do a lot to make me feel special. He didn’t want to get married. And commitment was scary to him. He also was the type to just be comfortabl…

Just got rid of a pick-me friend and it was the best thing ever. She repeatedly kept pushing me to go for a loser we surf with who LIVES IN HIS VAN. Meanwhile, she was actually fucking him. I have no idea why she pushed me to him when I don’t even have feelings for him and would never EVER date someone like that. She did this weird thing and I cut her out of my life. I snapped and said “it isn’t funny. It’s super fucked up to do something like that against someone’s will.” He later tried to grab my friends chest while we were swimming in the water. Pretty much why I don’t date and keep to myself. Would rather be alone than settle. I too take account how many women men sleep with. I also take account the amount of partying they do. As a woman, I personally do everything I can when it comes to being cautious with men. I don’t drink around them. I hardly drink at all actually. Never really had the stomach or tolerance for it. I meet in a public place. And I’m very clear with my boundaries. Even still I’ve had men behave very inappropriately with me. With men you wouldn’t expect to misbehave. For this reason I’ve become even more distant with men. I hardly date. And I keep to myself. But that’s why I feel safest. It’s sad to …

Strange. I assure you I see flaws in myself but by society’s standards I’m considered attractive. I’ve actually been told I’m smarter than I look. I’ve been told since I was 10 years old that upon first glance I look like a bitch but I’m actually kind and friendly. So even though I’m beautiful by society’s standards, my intelligence and kindness is assumed to be absent. Which honestly hurts my feelings sometimes. It’s also hard to get asked out. Someone who has the same goals as me. Someone who is honest and genuine. Yes I’d like to be attracted to them. Just as much as they are attracted to me. Someone who is down to try before giving up. Notice how I didn’t mention specific hair color or height or anything. But I’m also not focused on meeting someone. More trying to make genuine friendly connections w people and if it escalates past that then cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/21 05:43 PM

Sure but the point is men and women shouldn’t be grouped together. Person to person there is so much variety. Not all men think and act the same. Not all women think and act the same.

I didn’t say unique. I said varied. And it doesn’t have to do with gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/21 03:25 PM

So you behave like every single male? And every single female behaves the same? There are plenty of things that other women say or do that I don’t agree with. Have never done. Will never do.

I’m not playing any game. I don’t even participate. I don’t date. And I just try to be friends to see if something natural comes up out of friendship. Dating and marriage are very low on the totem pole for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/21 02:32 PM

Ok but we are pitiful in different ways. Men and women are varied on an individual basis. We are too varied to be grouped together by gender.

I’ve thought about paying for sex too from a man bc I bet he’d actually put the effort in making me orgasm instead of just pumping and dumping. I like being nurturing and kind. So I show it to my cat, my family, and my best friends.

Men and women have power and disadvantages in different ways. I’d rather not deal with this at all hence why I don’t date and just make friends. I find relationships to be overwhelming and exhausting.

A ton of men are interested in women. Does that mean they’re of quality? Does that mean they care if a woman orgasms? Does that mean they want to commit? Having a ton of men come after you is exhausting and I assure you isn’t as fun as you’d think. It’s never quality men and weeding through it is painful and exhausting.

Have you ever had sex with a woman? It doesn’t sound like you have. Porn isn’t reality. A big dick isn’t enough to make a woman cum. Your vagina doesn’t get loose over time anymore than a penis becomes shorter from going into vaginas over time. The clit is the most important part of making a woman cum. Please educate yourself bro.

Sadly most men I’ve had sex with were unable to make me cum or didn’t even care to try. Therefore in the past we would have sex and only one person actually got off (not me) and I’d just be left frustrated. So I’d just never have sex w them again. Had a lot of one timers happen after going on 3-5 dates and then just telling them I wasn’t feeling it. This happened for two years. Then before Covid hit last January I swore off men. How about you work on being the best version of yourself all around and in doing so you’re highly likely to find a good match for yourself? And if you don’t, who cares? Be proud you’re being the best version of you. This can apply to both men and women. Thoughts like these aren’t progressive, true, or remotely interesting.

Men do this to their own children and leave the child behind with the woman (usually to run into the vagina of another woman). This woman asked for help to take care of his husbands’ mistress’ baby and ran away and NOT into the arms of another man. Just because she was forced into something she didn’t sign up for. Fuck that shit.

I dated a guy in his early 40s when I was 28. According to society I’m considered “beautiful, hot, gorgeous, attractive, a catch.” (College educated, I speak 3 languages, self sufficient, eat well and exercise daily, take care of myself, good family, etc) Not being conceited. It’s just what people tell me. I am approached a lot. He was so jealous and insecure. I never brought up age or anything. I usually end up making the first move. I’m 30F and according to others I’m “beautiful,” “attractive,” and “hot.” I find that guys are too intimidated to approach me, assume I’m already taken, or I get the weirdest guys approaching me. I’ve also experienced it where some guys were intimidated by me doing the approaching, but those guys are insecure and I find it pathetic if they think that.

While I understand that, please understand that art is meant to imitate life. I’m writing a tv show about my mid 20s. I did some pickme stuff. The character’s will be making mistakes as they grow further along the seasons so you see their arch. My tv show is meant to be a “big sister” guide. And the characters start young and naive and grow and learn their value. Some don’t. It’s reflective of real life.

Age gap? Is 5 years bad? My ex was an HVM and we were nearly 6 years apart. I was 20 when I met him and he was 25. Treats me and women and just humans in general with so much respect. I think the issue here is not the age gap but the fact that he’s not over his ex.

I can understand that. I remind myself that so many unhealed people are walking around distracting themselves, running away from their problems, projecting their past trauma onto others. And most shit can’t be taken personal. At the end of the day we are only in control of ourselves. It’s easier for them to take advantage of them because they’re naive. They know women their own age don’t want to date them. That’s why we need to warn younger women.

Why don’t they just compliment each other and shut up? I feel so much better about myself when a woman compliments me than a man. Women compliment each other all the time. Men should do it to each other too without fear of being seen as gay.

I don’t like his gf at all tbh. She’s a very bitter woman but maybe it was only towards me bc she felt threatened by me (not my problem, she must have felt her guy acting weird about me) but when he talked to me the way he did I just said “I don’t think she’d like you talking to me this way, I’m single you’re not. Not everyone makes the kind of money where they can get by with one person income. The world is way more expensive and a lot of people think because things are more equal in the world that both should step up financially which is fine. If one person makes more (man or woman) and the agreement is as such then great. Where did I say women have it worse? I didn’t. Fds says the same. Don’t put man on a pedestal. Focus on yourself. In every thread you’re going to get angry people who blame men or blame women. I just wish men and woman could acknowledge the difficulties each gender experiences and try to work together to appreciate and respect and hear each other out more. I want progress not a shit storm.

Not unique to men. It now takes a two person income to survive. So while women now are expected to also be providers alongside their men, they’re also still expected to take care of the kids and the husband and the house work bc “that’s a woman’s job.” Women are at a disadvantage when it comes to marriage. Statistically married men are happier and single women are happier. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out why.

Why are men so pressing and pushing when it comes to sex? It takes two to tango. How come you’re not shitting on men who refused to stop being sluts and stick it up multiple women and have babies with a whole array of women? In these scenarios the man is equally at fault. Why isn’t he marrying, committing, and raising a family w one woman? He gets to walk out and most of these single women are left with the child. Exactly. If nothing is going to change your outlook, then why would a woman try to build with someone so stuck and stagnant? Especially if we’re willing to change and mold with you. Hey, we expect the man to work on himself and believe in himself. Especially when we are doing the same for ourselves. We don’t have a man believing in us and bettering us. We are doing it for ourselves from within. It’s too exhausting to do it for ourselves and you. We feel like we are your mother and raising yet an…

I’m glad to hear that you have that kind of support system. Most men tell me they super lack what you have. Yeah I’ve dated guys where I’ve had to love them enough for themselves and me. It’s exhausting and it’s not worth it. You have so much love and light for yourself that you can expel it on others bc it’s overflowing so much. You’ll probably attract a woman that loves herself so much and has so much light she wants to give it to you too. But that balance has to be there or it’s draining. And why dont you open up to other men about how you feel? And share with them that they are worthy of love and …

So here’s my theory on this. And I’m interested in your input. Woman’s relationships are intimate, vulnerable, and affectionate. We don’t have the stigma of it being “gay” or “homosexual”. Men, on the other hand, do not have these types of relationships bc society has taught men to be strong and independent and that it’s not masculine to display this type of closeness. Men are starved of intimacy. That’s why when a woman shows even the tiniest of interest they go nuts. There is an immediate crav…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 04:04 AM

But the only way you can enact the change you want is to be that change and try to connect with others. Also, these feelings you have are largely felt by everyone. We all think we’re alone and misunderstood and not accepted by society. Don’t do it to receive praise. Don’t do it for recognition. Do it bc you’d want someone to do it for you. You don’t have to be famous if you don’t want to. Fame is a killer anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 03:56 AM
1

Depression is something that can be worked on. As far as passion and affection, you can obtain this in other ways than just a woman or a SO! As a woman, I feel passion, intimacy, vulnerability, and affection from my friends and family. Even strangers sometimes. I feel it within for myself from myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 03:30 AM
1

Why don’t you do something world changing for yourself as the incentive? Or for other people? Nothing to do with women? Everything I do is for myself or for others. I don’t do it to impress a man or to obtain a partner. I don’t actually care if that happens or not eventually. If I find a good fit great! And if not then I did good stuff for myself and others!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 03:28 AM

Do you ever feel you have room for growth? Do you ever seek further knowledge to see if there is something new you’ve never learned about before that might shift your mind and make you want to try another angle when it comes to being charitable, mindful, and empathetic? Do you feel like you’re just at the maximum version of yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 01:58 AM

What do you mean by “they don’t have truly inquisitive minds?” That’s not a gender thing that’s a person to person basis. There are plenty of women scientists. That’s like me saying that men don’t make good artists because they aren’t as creative as women. These traits vary across the spectrum of humans and have nothing to do with gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/20 01:52 AM

We’re not doing these things to impress a man. We are doing these things for us. Also, I have to say people (men and women) in general don’t tend to get into their nurturing and empathetic side bc they’ve been shamed of it in the past. So what do you value in a woman besides that “silliness?” What do you consider the true “essence” of a person or relationship? Btw i know we can’t ever tell tone via text. I’m here to sincerely learn and expand my mind.

I have a hard time finding men who are nurturing and empathetic. Two qualities i look for in a man as well. Therefore I tend to be that way more with my family and friends. It takes me a while to be outright with those qualities when it comes to men because i don’t see it appreciated by them, reciprocated by them, or respected by them. I still am unsure how seeking higher knowledge and seeking professional advice is showing signs of insecurity. Insecurity is not admitting you have a problem. If you don’t know how to do something, you hire a professional to help. Not every humans has the tools to be able to do everything in life. That’s why it takes a village. How are we emotionally insecure? Intellectually insecure? More of us are enrolled in higher learning. More women are in therapy than men. We crave financial security bc at the end of the day we still do not receive equal pay from men. We still have so far to go when it comes to our careers. A lot of companies don’t hire women with the fear that she will get pregnant and leave. Men don’t face these kind of issues in the work place. Also I find a lot of men to be insanely insecure. I speak Spanish too! I want to learn Farsi and Arabic too at some point. Just know all these languages and be able to travel and talk. Most guys I’ve been dating the past two years speak 3-5 languages and are worldly. I want to be more like that. Yes to all of this! I love being alone and raising my standards even more. I also have a job opportunity after a few months of unemployment. Low value dick is a dime a plenty. No need for it honestly. Same with LV friends. No timeeeee!

I’m spending 30 mins studying French every day on Duolingo (97 day streak!). I exercise a lot (tennis, hiking, surfing, hiit, jogs, swimming) and I’ve lost 10 lbs, I’m spending a lot of time w my family (were a super close middle eastern family). And I’m writing a lot. I have been making good contacts in my field despite Covid. And I’ve been checking in on my friends making sure their mental health is good. I’ve baked cookies and dropped them all on doorsteps of my friends and family with person…

I’ve dated men who are fat, short, and have a small dick (not all one person, that would be ridiculous) and I decided no more. I don’t want to deal with their insecurities and complexes. I’m fit. I exercise 6 days a week. I’ve been told from men and women I have a perfect ass. I’m 5’3”, tan, middle eastern mix. Too much going for me to deal with someone else’s insecurities. Last year I dated a guy who was short and older than me by 13 years. When i broke it off w him he asked if it was bc I thou…

It’s funny bc these guys end up ruining their own lives by just looking at women as objects to stick their dick in. Most of them end up being 40-50 years old, alone, unable to get decent women, so they prey on younger women who are only using them for money (if they even have that lol) and usually they end up leaving them for other guys bc they realize what losers they are. These men fill the void with alcohol and pills and more porn which fucks them up more. Hoping these type of men don’t repro…

My ex of 7 years sounds like this guy. Thoughtful and so kind but not ambitious enough for me.

My dad is one of the only HVM I’ve ever experienced in my life and he’s not even perfect. He’s taken me to Europe, paid for my schooling, believed in my writing even when I didn’t believe in myself. I don’t want a husband if he can’t beat that. I’d rather be alone.

Ego is a killer. How unattractive. Therapy or you leave. Tell him that insecurities are not a reason to put others down. If he doesn’t change move on.

I was hanging with this guy I had a crush on last year. Every time he made a mean joke about me I’d hit him back in a similar vein. He was too much of a weak ballsack to handle it. I had to explain that I was joking similarly to him. He said I was defensive and needed to work on it. Guess who is blocked? 😈sick of these weak ass men.

First off men don’t even do that with each other, let alone other women. So many men I talk to wish they had some sort of support system instead of thinking that they have to face shit alone. That’s not how the world works. Community and intimacy are vital needs for people, man or woman alike. Being vulnerable and intimate is one of the strongest things you can do. It is literally super manly. Holding shit in and therefore experiencing lack of emotion or extreme anger is not something anyone wan…

The level of laziness is atrocious. On both sides for men and women.

Men are NOT getting in touch with their feminine side. That’s not what’s going on at all. Most men have issues expressing their emotions, needs, trauma, etc. a lot are afraid of therapy. A lot express either lack of emotion, or anger. There is no in between. It’s good to be king. So where are they? Most of the time I even talk about leveling up with men (and women) I hear “it’s hard.” No shit. Do it anyway.

Have you read any relationship issues on Reddit? So many women are asking their SOs to step up and help. Most men want to work, come home and expect food to be ready despite their woman also working, and then be left alone. They pretend to be bad and incompetent at cleaning and child rearing so they’re off the hook.

So why don’t men step up and create circles of friendships and support so that they can get over things easier? Men not properly dealing with their issues and lacking real intimacy from other male friends is such a problem and part of the reason why I feel men are falling behind in society.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. You sound hurt and shouldn’t be putting yourself out there with that bogus mentality.

Men are only getting weaker bc they find weakness in being vulnerable and open. They are ashamed to be open about their feelings and emotions. Women appear stronger bc we’ve had to step up and embrace what society deems as “masculine” (fighting for our rights to vote, own property, have a bank account, work, wear pants, etc). So now women have to look good, make good money, still run a household, be mentally stable and strong and be careful with our emotions as not to scare men off, etc. it’s ex…

Wtf? What does hair color have to do with it? People will use any excuse or any stupid ideology that “society” has to ruin something that would be perfect for them. I can’t.

Dated a French guy for three weeks in January. The last week he showed signs of trying to be manipulative and controlling. He mentioned he related to Joe from You. I didn’t get it until I broke it off w him for pulling some low level shit that’s way too long a story to explain and watched it. I was actually terrified for a month that THAT is the man he looked up to and could relate to 🤦🏽‍♀️

I did one dating app in 2018 for 5 days. Never again. I like being unavailable. Shit, I don’t even post many photos of me on Instagram. For someone to be in my presence and life and be around me, you have to earn it. Too many leeches over too many times. So yeah. I’m unavailable and you’re lucky if I make myself available to you at all.
