I think these requirements are quite basic and a much larger percentage of young men fits all 4. Of those men most will be LVM. The only thing that was dramatized was the scale of faux wealth, but the dynamics between the characters were SO. REAL. I go to a lot of art house films and I feel they tend to manage to capture the human experience in ways that mainstream media doesn't. The real horror is that this is so relatable.. Thanks for your advice, I kind of "binge-read" the first half because it was so validating but didn't stop to think that that growing feeling of dread and hurt might need some tending to. It's the same for me, definitely resurfacing memories that I haven't been aware of in quite some time.

Thank you so much for your response and the resources. I will check them out. I was in therapy until last year but my therapist relocated and we had to decide whether I'd start anew or quit, and she encouraged me to "try by myself", because I was at least out the worst of it. I didn't exactly feel ready, but I felt less ready to learn to trust another therapist.. so I've been without therapy for about a year now.
