Like the other comments say, age doesn’t necessarily hinder their libidos. I realized that after my sisters noticed how my 85 yo grandfather was always looking at a woman’s ass when she walked away. Similarly, my 60 yo father always loves to flirt with waitresses/cashiers. Knowing this immediately changed my opinion of them, regardless of the fact that they are family and never personally harmed me. I don’t understand the women who leave it to the justice system to figure out whether the man is …

So sorry this happened to you. Under French law, abstaining to help someone who’s in danger is actually a criminal offense in itself.. wishing you the best on your journey

Yeah I was shocked at the comments too tbf, they didn’t think he did anything wrong and blamed her for expecting more than just a hookup with this guy. They blamed her for getting too much involved although (they assumed) he never said anything hinting that this was anything serious... what a world we live in - blaming a woman for expecting to be treated better than a sex doll. And the fact that he lasted 5 mins is, like you said, yet another proof that women don’t get anything out of early phys…

Yeah that’s quite a harsh welcome back to single life too, even when you don’t care about the guy and he’s just a rebound, you can’t help but feel very disrespected!

Sorry this happened to you. We must always remind ourselves that men are very primitive subjects who will see an invitation to your place or theirs as an invitation to have sex. Even when you explicitly tell them it’s never going to happen, they’ll think you might change your mind as soon as you step a foot inside. They do not think as innocently as we might, so we need to always be on our guard and expect the worst...

Well had I known that running away might deter them from ever approaching women on the streets again, I would have started a long time ago! Might wabble my arms in the air too to add some drama

Totally! Once I was talking to a friend about this, and said that when I walk on the street I either look down or in the opposite direction when I cross path with a man, so much that it has become a habit now. He said he thought it was really sad that I did that because "who knows who you could meet". I replied that it’s never the handsome ones who approach you on the street, and it’s most of the time more of a bother than a pleasant chat. Plus, we’re actually on our way to go somewhere, we’re n…

You were SO right to say no to folding his laundry! Can you imagine a woman asking this to a man she’s begun to date? Sometimes I dont know whether they realize how misogynistic they can be! Had the same side effect in regards to depression. After 10 years of using BC, I became extremely depressed out of nowhere. Friend of mine had it too and recommended to go off BC. Did it and it immediately stopped. I wish doctors were more careful and wary when they prescribe BC for things like acne or hormonal imbalance which can be dealt with differently. However, no change whatsoever on my libido nor my attraction criteria re men.

Omg this post has so many red flags. This is an entitled brat who thinks that watching porn whilst she’s sleeping is watching it "together" (I don’t think he’s ever heard of the notion of consent - hopefully he doesn’t do more than that whilst she’s asleep), then blames her for ruining the rest of his night and is gutted about having blue balls?? He should wear his blue balls as earrings who cares.

Well to be fair this guy is at the very least misogynistic, and his comparison between her breasts and African women on national geography felt quite racist. He’s just shocked that his wife doesn’t look like the "young mommy" category of his porn smh

Absolutely! I’ve been embracing my life as a single woman for a year and a half and have honestly never accomplished so much, I’m getting to know who I am and setting goals for myself and I love it. Once you become ok with the idea of potentially ending up alone, the pressure of finding someone who might not match your standards just to beat loneliness and societal pressure flies away. As your life just becomes positive and stress free, it also gets easier to get rid of NVMs and LVMs who weight …

I know right! They have developed so many fantasies because of porn that they assume it is their right to try them out without us having a say in this. My ex used to beg me for something I really didn’t want to do. Told him it was never going to happen but he kept insisting so much that at the time I felt like I had to give him hope it would someday happen and said "maybe I’ll try it if we ever get married".

Yeah women who say they don’t have female friends because "it’s not their thing" is a huge red flag as to what they expect from friendships, what they bring to the table and how they treat other women. Cut all ties with this one, you’re draining yourself for someone who doesn’t deserve a second of your attention & energy
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/06/20 06:21 PM

And that’s on living in a society where women are told to endure the BS and suffer through rather than calling out the abusers for what they are... Really hope that the recent movements such as #metoo will make women realize it is their right to say no and that men are not entitled to our bodies!

Hate it too when pickmeishas proudly say they are crazy/psycho and that they need to “hide the crazy” when they first meet someone. They say that for the smallest things too. All this just encourages men to keep on calling women crazy, nonsense! But at least a man saying this is an easy red flag to spot early on

If they have a girlfriend they may still flirt with you behind her back (even if she’s your friend, happened to me although they had not been dating for very long). Once I was having drinks with colleagues and told one of them that all married men weren’t attractive to me at all because the fact that they were married instantly killed any attraction I could have. As he was married, he then said to me that he felt deeply offended by this... it’s better not to be naive IMO. Like for everything the…

Yeah like imagine having to make a list at the beginning of a relationship where you have to express that the other person is not allowed to harm your body "otherwise he couldn’t know it wasn’t one of your kicks"... From my experience, straight men befriend women with an intention other than just platonic friendship, especially when you’re working and not at school/uni anymore. And they expect that if you talk to them, you feel the same way about them, so when it comes the time when they make a move and you tell them you’re not interested in them that way, their fragile egos stay in denial. Like the other comments say, the only way forward is to block them and move on!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 12:41 PM
33

For context, see original post below. Most other comments were warning OP that this was a huge red flag. NVMs see strangulation so much in porn that they are trying to normalize it as if it was common practice which therefore does not require their partner’s consent. Original post: My new boyfriend choked me during sex, should i break up with him? I know choking is something other people do and it's also in porn, but my boyfriend didn't ask me and now my throat hurts and it's a bit hard to breat…

Yeah she’s just describing what NVMs dream of, so much that I’m wondering whether it’s actually a bot. If she really was bisexual, she would have chosen for her profile to be showing on both men and women’s pages and it would look nothing like that.

I agree with this 100%. If he valued your stand on this, he would have proposed before considering buying a house - if this house was indeed for the two of you - which I doubt because he’s merely asking for your "input" here rather than your consent. Looks like he’s buying a house for himself, where you could potentially move in one day - or not. So looks more like a forced move or just an investment for himself rather than any intent to propose whatsoever.

It’s absolutely fine, there’s a lot of information to digest and it’s not easy to change your habits straight away! But I do agree with the other comments, regardless of the qualities you pointed out in the beginning, the big red flag is the lack of texting in between the dates, especially when you realize that it isn’t a problem for him to text when it comes to sexting... if you’re however still having doubts about him, best way to realize for yourself that he truly is a NVM is to stop sexting.…

This is so true! I’ve encountered a couple of men last year although I wasn’t in the mood to date anyone and just wanted to focus on myself after a breakup. This was pre-FDS and I was never one to chase anyone to begin with. But even then, I was so weirded out by the fact that they put so little effort in the chase when they were the ones who initiated it in the first place. And honestly after being on this group for around a week and reflecting back on everything, they were definetly expecting …

You seem to be giving yourself very little credit for all your achievements! Although your ex may have helped you, I am sure you helped him in many ways too. The fact that you didn’t think of him once when you were happy in your recent relationship hints that it may not be him that you’re missing now but the way he made you feel if it makes sense. Yeah, society’s gotten women so fucked up and inclined/shamed women into accepting men’s abusive behavior because "men will be men" that some women lack the clarity to realize that some of men’s actions are actually criminal! And you’re 100% right to be angry, being angry and showing we’re angry has proven to be the only way to move things forward!

It depends on the applicable law where she lives but in most countries, this would constitute rape as he introduced something in her body without her consent. Lol I feel you! I was in a relationship for a long time too and unfortunately I had never taken the time to figure out what worked for me, so couldn’t guide him, and he never really took it upon himself either to make sure I was satisfied. So I kind of knew how things would play out whenever he’d let me know he was up for it, and I knew I wouldn’t get much from it anyway, so obviously my libido was impacted. Looking back on it now there’s just one thing these guys need to know: you want your lad…

It is definetly true that there are some women out there who are toxic and it’s undeniable, and it seems to be the case of the woman whom you’re describing, but I wouldn’t give men the benefit of the doubt unless I know for a fact it’s true. Men say wayyy too often that their ex is crazy when, most of the time, the women’s reaction was motivated by the man’s behavior in misleading them or devaluing them! So I don’t think we should ever comfort men into calling women crazy because they use this a…

Just read the full post, and it might be worth mentioning that he took it upon himself to stress that he went to a better university than her, has a better job title than her as he manages 10 people and she doesn’t, and to imply that the only reason why she earns more than him is because her field pays better than his (nothing to do with her actual degrees/skills/dedication of course)... oh and also it was apparently necessary to mention that he was doing push ups whilst she was on the phone... …

So he’s lucky enough to be with a woman both attractive and career-oriented and he still has the nerve to bash her? His ego’s just hurt by the fact he knows she’s aware she’s dating a NVM. Couldn’t go at her for her salary as it’s factual so he went for her looks and age? And instead of praising his queen, he turns to Reddit to get confirmation from other douches that he’s still above her in a way or another. Ew sis’ needs to drop this dead weight!

Yeah there was a post about this subject. Whilst women have always been forced by society and unrealistic beauty standards to take good care of themselves from a young age, men have only been taught the bare minimum and are rarely trying to achieve more. So whilst reaching 30+ doesn’t change anything in relation to the way we take care of ourselves, reaching 30 for them is a full slap in the face which comes with dad bod and wrinkles. People who say that men age like fine wine make me laugh, cou…

I’ve always been uncomfortable with the idea of simply abandoning the name you’ve had your whole life and which relates to your ancestry for a man’s. All this just for the sake of tradition? I might take the man’s name in addition to mine but only if he agrees to take mine too! It’s like men who refuse to wear a wedding ring but get pissed off when their wife doesn’t wear hers.

But surely if you manage to divide your own energy between your job, the relationship and your own needs, she could do the same? Women are known to be good at multi-tasking you know! Or is there an aspect that you would chose to neglect and expect her to devote herself to for the both of you?

I completely agree! One of my friends told me that when she and her bf argue, it’s common for them to actually insult each other. I was mortified by this, in none of my past relationships have I been insulted nor have wanted to insult someone for the sake of arguing. Communication is essential in a couple so when you tell the other one to shut up or insult them, that’s a huge red flag!

It’s so disrespectful as well for them not to put a couple pic to begin with. Why waste your time? They can set their preference for girls and put a couple pic, like straight women come accross couples as well when set for men, but at least most of them have the picture with the couple on it and/or the explicit description that it’s what they’re looking for. There should be a special set up preference for poly/open couples to avoid waste anyone’s time. The fact that they aren’t doing that just s…

Thank you for your comment. I completely agree that they can’t coexist. In one of their recent posts, they were arguing that women who were ambitious and had great careers should in no way, shape or form intimidate them as at the end of the day, they still "went back home and went on their knees to please their men" (put in better words). Therefore, it appears that they tend to recommend that men should act as LVM towards all women, and that their status/social/educational backgrounds does not m…

Thank you OP for sharing this video and for the book recommendations, was really interesting. IMO, it’s not only the medias who put pressure on women to look up to certain standards of beauty, it can come from family members too. I don’t understand why in quite a few other subs they advocate that FDS is the equivalent of TRP but for women. I’ve read many of TRP’s posts out of curiosity and they tend to devalue women and women’s rights, argue that we are not equal, that we shouldn’t hold positions of power etc. Whereas (please do tell me if I’m wrong) FDS tends more to improve yourself as a person and being aware of the predominant tendencies of men and redflags in regards to dating and relationships. IMO there are other …

I completely agree! I’ve never liked Valentine’s Day for this reason, and only celebrated it once in a 6-year relationship - he was happy to celebrate but I have always been dead against it. IMO, going to a restaurant and buying a present for each other is more meaningful when done spontaneously to make the other happy rather than dictated by a specific date as it feels fake.

The way she talks about it shows she’s looking for some sort of validation from men. By explaining she looked through his files ”although she knows she shouldn’t have” (sorry but there’s no shame in snooping around if no one has anything to hide) and mentioning her very grade of 7/10. She’s not going to break up with him, she just want men validation that others do it and it’s perfectly normal. Disappointing.

There’s a theory according to which the person who says I love you first is going to be the one following the other one around in the relationship. I don’t have enough experience to say whether it’s true. But in regards to kids and marriage, it makes me laugh how many men think that all women want, especially coming close to their 30s is having kids and getting married. Although it may be true for some (not my case), what they don’t realize is that it does not necessarily mean with them. So when…

I’ve always been that way and was so annoyed when my friends would call me out on it and say I was too picky. But the thing is in terms of what I’m looking for is literally my equal. I want someone sporty, ambitious, sociable (and ok, taller than me. Also the fact that he must be respectful etc but that’s like the basics). If I’m bringing that to the table, why accept any less? So many of my friends have very low standards and keep telling me "we will see how your standards change in a few years…

I read a discussion on this where most men and women were saying that liking a pic of a girl (pic of her face and possibly body too) who’s not a friend doesn’t mean anything and it shouldn’t be a bid deal. I completely disagree because for me a person liking another person’s pic who isn’t their friend is showing clear interest, like keeping doors open in case things go south. So what the hell?

I have the same problem with one of my friends. Tbh she’s a real pickme. This guy was taking a lot of drugs and really disrespectful to her. He broke up with her as they kept having arguments where she’d ask him where he had been all night long and wouldn’t answer. He also felt like she was pressuring him too much into settling down and having kids. She moved out of the apartment but keeps answering his texts and seeing him - he’s really needy especially the day after taking drugs. They snuggle …

Same as some girls who have commented, I have tried at a single occasion a one night stand and hated it - the guy’s technique was bad, I obviously didn’t get off and felt like I had put myself at risk for no reason other than curiosity. I know some girls who have regular ONS, don’t expect anything from the guys in return and use them just for sex. As they are not wining to me about it, I don’t think anything of it, their body their choice. Similarly, I wouldn’t judge women I don’t know who have …

Yeah guys pretend to love women who ask them out and take matters in their own hands. I’ve done it a couple of times as I lacked the patience to play games. But it lead nowhere whatsoever. Truth is if a guy is into you, he will ask you out. If he doesn’t, it’s not because he’s waiting for you to make a move but because he’s not that into you, plain and simple. So IMO, asking a guy out doesn’t add value whatsoever, it’s just a waste of time and energy.

The thing is that girls on tinder are looking for something, either a hook up or something more serious. Girls on Instagram/facebook and other platforms might be in a relationship, or using these platforms for other purposes than getting hit on by guys. The odds are that girls in relationships will not even open your message, let alone answer it. As for the single girls you are DMing, if you don’t know them personally and you stumbled across their profile by chance, you are for sure not the only…

From my experience, when you’re on a date it’s rare to have a conversation where the guy respects your opinion although it might differ from his. Not to make a generality but some guys try to act dominant (I guess) and diminish what you’re saying because they don’t agree with it and make a point in proving you wrong, and it’s kind of repellant. So I agree with the other comments, most girls tend to refrain from saying what they think on a specific subject until they know the guy well enough. Not…

In my opinion, not that there can be any acceptable excuse anyways, but it’s even worse if everything’s great and they love you and yet they cheat. There’s no such thing as a weak moment, if you love someone, losing them is the biggest fear of all so it should never even cross your mind. Being married doesn’t mean you have to accept disrespect and betrayal. Plus chances are if you stay together, both are going to get paranoid because you’d be constantly scared of her cheating again so will find …
