They call it "oral sex" for a reason. I'd still probably be disappointed, tho.

50/50 is a misnomer, and often misinterpreted by people that haven't actually spent time in family court. 50/50 does not mean equal. One parent still has to be the "custodial parent," or "primary caregiver," or whatever other terminology any given location uses in their legislation. Parents are generally encouraged to cooperate by the custody agreement, and a lack of cooperation can be pursued in court... but that can take months or even years. In the meantime: this parent generally has the fina…

Unsurprising. Gender roles are breaking down. In another 10 years it's not going to be uncommon for a dude to stay at home with his parents until he finds a working woman to take care of him. We're already at least part of the way there, I for one knew several dudes that took that approach growing up... and it's a frequent subject of womanly ire if you visit the right subreddits. Having now moved down south, working women with worthless boyfriends / husbands seems to be more the norm than the ot…

Yeah I'm good on that lol Feminists are absolutely anti-men, it's all over their brainwashing rhetoric and their actions. I don't care how many armchair Feminists on Reddit tell me "It'S aBoUt EqUaLiTy!" Until the ones that actually matter, y'know... the ones protesting things like equal parenting rights and telling me to shut up when the women are speaking in the workplace, start reflecting that message: it's an ideology of hate. We already have a term that means equality for all, and it's Egal…

My biggest criticism of Ben Shapiro is that he is completely out of touch with people who grow up, or otherwise have to spend a substantial amount of time living, in poverty. So I feel you on that 100%. "Holier than thou" might resonate with the hyper religious types, undoubtedly a contributing factor for his behavior, but not me. Still, it's better to criticize him for being out of touch than suggest the reason for his ignorance is "he just hasn't worked hard enough." The dude is younger than I…

Having worked both types of jobs, it always irks me when someone suggests that a person is somehow worthy of less respect because they weren't foolish or desperate enough to dive into manual labor. As if there's some kind of mystical wisdom to be gained from moving big, heavy things around all day and working too many hours for not enough pay. There's not. The fact is that dude worked to accomplish more by the time he turned 18 than some folks will in their entire lives. Now he's reaping the rew…

I'm not sure what you mean by "Feminist definition of Egalitarian." What's the difference? Where do you see the potential for abuse? If you're ever lost on the definition of words, the dictionary doesn't lie: egalitarian e·gal·i·tar·i·an /ēˌɡaləˈterēən/ adjective adjective: egalitarian relating to or believing in the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities. "a fairer, more egalitarian society" noun noun: egalitarian; plural noun: egalitarians a person who a…

They can align. Making it legal for women to drive in a country where men already have a legal path to driving is the kind of thing both Feminists and Egalitarians would sign up for. A state passing legislation to give men more, earlier access to their children in the family courts is going to be protested by Feminists, but would be supported by Egalitarians... as long as it's not giving men a privilege that women don't already have. In short, Feminist thinking is going to prioritize women while…

That's a very strange take on Egalitarianism. All the way down to its roots, it is fundamentally a philosophy regarding equal treatment under the law.

You shouldn't get killed or arrested for public displays of affection, or be traded off as a child to adults that want to fuck you. I know how much being a dude can suck better than most, but if you made me king of the world today - problems for men in the first world wouldn't be a day one issue. Probably not even a week one issue. You're not doing anyone any favors by trivializing the legal enforcement of gender roles.

I was sitting here like "How am I getting upvotes? Why is everyone supporting what I said?" Mystery solved, I'm on the MensRights subreddit lol Anywho, I commented to ask what "MTP" is? No. Feminism is a garbage ideology that is based entirely on misandry. Egalitarianism, on the other hand, is still very much needed in several parts of the world. Especially the middle east. There are several countries where women are treated more akin to property than people. If they pick up Feminism, they'll end up in the same place we're at.
/r/MensRights16/02/24 03:11 PM

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Seems to be a recurring theme in Western civilization. Paternity fraud is legally protected in France, and still 100% legal in every other country. I could probably go on all day. If you're living in the right place: it's a good time to be a woman.

They're not. Not in the United States, anyway. Most states still have legislation that favors women in family court, they are still not required to sign up for the draft, and they are not subjected to the same sentencing guidelines as men - so they spend less time in prison for the same crime. They're also the predominant recipient of funding for domestic violence shelters, so you only really have that as an option if you're a woman - or live in Arkansas, where the only male domestic violence sh…

So, in order for a woman to receive child support she has to establish paternity first. As-is: how this is done varies from state to state, but generally comes down to "She tells the state who Dad is, the state tracks him down and takes his money." That wouldn't change. Any woman who wants to receive government assistance has to file for child support as long as she knows who the father is, so they have to point the finger. The difference is that now the state would be obligated to prove he's th…

Require proof of paternity to sign the birth certificate. As-is it wouldn't be cheap, but if they reworked how paternity is legally established to a federal standard it would probably be a pretty big gain for dudes in a lotta ways. In America, anyway. Gone are the states where a woman can just sign a name on a birth certificate and steal a paycheck from a dude that isn't even the kid's father until he proves otherwise. Of course, that also means a woman who had a child with a deadbeat who ran of…

Problems from incest can arise from fucking more than just your direct relations. If you want 100% of children to be paternity tested, then be honest about why. It's not about incest, it's about stopping paternity fraud. There's no need for a government database to do that, and it doesn't require giving them your genetics.
/r/MensRights14/02/24 06:12 PM
11

Having paternity tests at birth wouldn't fix that. You would have to have genetic testing to collect the results, a database to store the results in, a mechanism that determines who is related to who, and an interface for the general public to easily interact with said database to be able to see who they're related to. Putting aside the fiscal cost of creating & maintaining said system and whether or not it would even be worth that, there are a lot of folks that are not comfortable with the idea…

Because it's "Feminism." The ideology is named after women, and it names literally everything bad after men. They're about as transparently bigoted as you can get without donning a white hood. Why would you expect them to care?

It didn't happen out of the blue. Women are constantly being encouraged to step up their game and do better. Men are constantly being encouraged to put their own needs aside and support women, or at least get the fuck out of the way. Buying a home is not only a substantial financial investment, it's a substantial step up in responsibility. As you discourage responsibility in young men, they are going to make less money and be less inclined to purchase a house even if they do have enough money. T…

So, as a lawyer... why aren't people suing for this shit? When I'm sitting through a lecture being told for the umpteenth time to shut up when women are talking and sacrifice my career for them, I can't help but wonder how any of this shit is legal.

I've talked with my Dad about the kinds of thing with D&I that were going on when he was still in the workplace. 20+ years ago. It wasn't called D&I back then, but it was very much a thing. I have no doubt that at some point in the future the corporate world is going to have to face the truth, but I wouldn't count on it happening any time soon.

Tech is the same way. At my current work they've also routed all funding away from training programs that used to be company wide and into the D&I program - which is predominantly focused on exactly who you would expect at an American company. So: if you don't fit into one of those categories you're on your own for keeping up, something that is absolutely essential for my work. When interviewing we have to go through female candidates (if any, there have been times where we had none), then diver…

I've had a kid. I didn't want one. 9, or rather 7 I guess, months is more than enough time to change your mind. Even if he doesn't want this kid 7 months from now he needs to talk to a lawyer. There is absolutely nothing (legal) he can do to force an abortion on her. He is absolutely capable of legally protecting himself. Again, I'm not saying you're wrong. Your advice very well may work where you're at. In the places I've lived, that's the easiest way to lose 25% of his paycheck even if it's no…

To answer your question about lawyers: yes. They will probably not encourage you to leave the country, as I said that is generally an exceptionally unwise thing to do and who has the money to establish citizenship in a new country at 20 years old anyway, but you are free to ask them about that and what the consequences would be. They will be able to tell you. And yes, they are prepared to advise the best course of action in the best interest of their client, whether it is a man or a woman. That …

OP should be talking to a lawyer, who will advise him on what the best course of action is for his area. Running out of country does not guarantee immunity from child support, and you will still be on the hook for 18 years' worth of support if you ever want to come back in any case. They don't forget. There are plenty of things that OP can likely do, but he has to play his cards right the first time or none of those will matter because he'll get fucked by family court.

This might work for your area, but where I'm from you're just shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to custody. By the time she files for child support she's already acquired primary caregiver status, and you are now just a paycheck for mom to collect while she goes out and finds another dude to hitch up and raise your kid with. Talk to a lawyer, /u/shotoniphone. Don't take advice on this from Reddit.
/r/MensRights06/02/24 02:16 PM

Talk to a lawyer before you do anything. You need to know how vulnerable you are in your area. You may need paperwork filed in court immediately following the child's birth to protect yourself, even if it is not your kid. You need to be informed when she asks you to sign the birth certificate, and you need to know what preparations need to be made for you to raise your child if she decides she's not going to cooperate. A consultation with a lawyer is free. Get one scheduled immediately. You need…

Sounds like some shit an angry college girl that's not white - she's actually 5% Native American - would say to you in a bar. In context, it sounds like satire. "Male fragility" is often used by Feminist types to dismiss men's issues. It's basically a way to make fun of men who are upset about something, essentially stating that they are overreacting... but with that "Fuck men" spin that Feminists love so much. "Blonde fragility" is likely a play on that.

No, I support my own children. If you mean do I expect the tax-payer to support a child with no father? Yes. That's what we do already. I think in the end it makes the lifestyle substantially less appealing, and achieves the same result y'all are preaching about with opting out: more abortions where available, more adoptions / orphans where not, and single mothers that are more dependent on taxpayer systems. No way to say if it would shake out as a net gain or net loss, or I guess I just don't k…

Child support.
/r/MensRights22/01/24 11:48 PM
6

Yes. That's what happens now. The burden is going to increase substantially whichever way you go, allowing men to opt out or just getting rid of it altogether. In both cases you're pushing single parents that are currently receiving child support deeper into the safety net, because you're essentially stripping $X per month that would typically be considered income.
/r/MensRights22/01/24 11:45 PM
-11

You're only removing part of the financial incentive. Dude that got them pregnant isn't the only source of income for single motherhood. I'm not worried about dudes that don't want to be fathers, and in any case they still have that option if you eliminate child support. I'm worried about dudes that want to or would be fathers if they didn't have to choose between that and keeping 25% of their income.
/r/MensRights22/01/24 11:30 PM
-17

I mean, kind of. The only thing you're really eliminating is child support. You're not getting rid of welfare queens, and those are gonna be most of the gals that are engaging in that kind of behavior anyway. You're cutting into their monthly checks, but you're still a far cry away from cutting them off completely. Besides, what would ultimately happen is the government (tax-payers) would pick up the buck, right? So you'll cut into their monthly income, but probably to an even lesser degree than…

I take issue with paper abortion because I think it further incentivizes fatherless children. I mean, think about it. If you're pulling 30k a year you now have to choose between being a part of a child's life and losing $7,500 a year to the other parent... or signing a paper abortion to abandon the child to keep that money. That is not an insubstantial amount of money to someone whose income is that low. It very well could be that you want to be a parent to that child, but you won't be able to a…

I'm actually going to be leaving my work in software when my son graduates in a few years because of exactly this: Being in the education system where they are literally telling men on the daily that they are scum, patriarchy theory and potential rapists and murderers of women has put me off of interacting with those types of people in academia. I think that we have a system that discriminates against men, family court, and everyone knows it. The risk that a man is undertaking by tying himself to a woman is too high. If he doesn't encounter one that can dissuade those risks and actually earn his trust, he's not going to marry. Couple that with the shifting attitudes of women, like... how many of you have made the mistake of going out on a date with a woman that openly declares herself a Feminist on her dating profile? It only takes one.…

His mother will probably die in the street, or a women's shelter. I'm not exaggerating, those are the consequences. The gender pay gap exists because of a wide variety of factors, and there has been oodles of writing over the past twenty years about it. It's not because women are paid less. The only thing I have witnessed is actually the opposite, as women my age were actually getting paid more for entry level jobs. HR wants to increase the number of women employed, and they're willing to pay for it. If you want an easy ride, ladies, work in software.

I can agree with that 100%. I'd even take it one step further. It should not be legal to impose child support on someone for children that aren't theirs no matter what. I don't care if she just put his name on the birth certificate, he spent 15 years raising them because he thought they were his, or even if someone married someone knowing the kids aren't theirs. No man, or woman for that matter, should be fiscally responsible for another person's children ever. Or we could just keep it simple, a…

The fact that women earn less money than men is not a lie. The deception is that it's framed as being because they're women. Not because they took a parental leave of absence, and don't work as many hours, and don't push for promotions, and choose lower-paying careers, and yadda yadda. It's a complex issue, and it's not as simple as "women are being discriminated against." That's just an extremely common, and ignorant, interpretation.

Besides, the "train or get let go" requirement is being word-of-mouthed down through middle management. They're not going to put that shit on paper, they'll just lay you off during the next wave. Child support isn't a one-way street. The problem with child support is you're incentivizing single parenthood. Have a kid with someone that makes oodles of money, then you can break up with them and in the worst case you only have to take care of that kid part time to collect a paycheck. Do it more than once: bigger paycheck. The money is not monitored at all once it reaches the receiving parents' hands. You can spend it on the kid, sure. You can also spend it on drugs. Clarification, I am not upset - but this is an issue about which I can type passionately, sure. I'm also not being defensive. I have not defended her behavior. The closest I've come is saying that if you go to a bar or club you should have the expectation that you will be sexually assaulted. This should not seem unreasonable to anyone that has spent any amount of time in bars or, especially, clubs. It's going to happen. I've traveled far and wide, this is about as close to a universal truth as y…

I don't think I said people have a free pass. I said I find it to be a stupid thing to complain about, because it's expected behavior. They are not the same. Identifying a sex as being responsible for poor behavior, and then encouraging people to engage in that same poor behavior against that sex is absolutely bigotry. When the sex is women, that bigotry is called misogyny. OP doesn't like the way that men are held accountable for sexual assault. OP's solution: hold women accountable in the same…

Nope, and it never will. People are animals. Animals that not only have sex, but derive intense pleasure from it. No matter how big you build the guard rails, they are never going to stop acting like animals. I 100% disagree with your proposed solution, though. Prisons and jails are already so overcrowded that they literally have to let people go to make room for more violent offenders. Look at the way false allegations are handled now, and then imagine if you had to spend a night in a holding c…

There it is. The nastiness. The discomfort with knowing that what you believe can't hold up to the scrutiny. The last resort of ad hominems. The truth is that you are bitter. Man or woman, if you call the police because someone grabbed your ass in a bar you're going to be disappointed. I can promise you that. They do not have time for that shit, and they'll probably tell you as much. What do you expect to happen? What is the punishment you want to see for any person grabbing another person's ass?

I don't think I apologized for anyone. More like an adamant believer that your world is going to largely be what you make of it... and I also find it unwise to encourage men to treat women the way that some of them treat us.

Because women often DO get a free pass when it comes to being held accountable or even held to the same standards / rules expected of men. Men often get a free pass for the same behavior. I agree that women are not held accountable to the same degree as men. Now, out of theory and into reality: how are you going to hold the girl in the above situation accountable? OP called you to action, what are you going to do when you're in the same situation?
/r/MensRights08/01/24 02:28 AM
-3

If you assault my girl you get a warning. If you do it again, you get hurt. Is generally how I play it. And yes, that does seem to be the norm to me. If you pick a fight with a dude for putting hands on a girl you're interested in you're all getting thrown out. Nobody wants that. I don't like it when chicks & dudes get grabby with me, either. That's life, though.

You've never had a significant other do something that it takes time to process? Sometimes it can take me weeks to work through something. You're making assumptions to satisfy your own beliefs.

Because it's obvious to me from the way he's worded his post, and the call to action against women. This kind of behavior at a club is normal. I have always, and will always, find it to be a stupid thing to complain about. Going to a bar or club and then complaining you were sexually assaulted is on par with going to a show at Sea World and complaining you got wet. Were you hanging out in their living room when they sobered up the next day? You are not omniscient. I meant what I said. You have no way of knowing whether or not she had to face any repercussions. Even if you're 100% right, and she faced no consequences... it doesn't change how falsely the rest of your post rings. Settling, on both parties' behalf. People settle with partners that are overweight, treat them like shit, and/or don't have the ambition or drive to be successful because we all know how the world works. At the end of the day the perfect man or woman doesn't really exist. We just pick one that we're willing to settle for, hopefully because of an understanding that love and partnership isn't perfect but we know they can do enough... and not because of some darker, more fucked up reason.

Domestic partnership. I don't know much about Washington's laws, but in many parts of the world if you live for someone for more than X amount of time you become legally "married" without actually being married. Combine that with the concept of "if you marry someone you're taking on legal responsibility for their children" and that's how you end up with a situation like this.
/r/MensRights30/06/21 07:46 PM

Well... technically there is a choice for circumcision. It's just that decision gets made by the parents, like all decisions about medical procedures before you're a legal adult. As for pregnancy, we don't carry children - so there's no choice to be made. I think you're referring to parenting, a situation in which you absolutely do have a choice - it's just that having a kid with the wrong gal can make following through on that choice a bitch and a half.

Talk to a lawyer before you make any moves, they will be able to best advise you on how to proceed if you decide to split. Even with no intention of pursuing custody you are going to need a lawyer to ensure you get fucked as little as possible going into court proceedings around child support and the like.

I remember dating a chick that literally wanted me to wrap a belt around her neck and choke her until she was about to pass out while I slammed her doggy style. She didn't want this as a "one time thing," it became clear this was what she wanted to be the norm. As a general rule women like being dominated in the bedroom. Going that far isn't normal in my experience, but it happens. If you don't enjoy it, move on to the next one.

Don't hit your sister. This is stupid advice and can land you in some serious shit. Defend yourself if you have to, jail is better than being dead, but work towards getting your shit together so you can get the fuck out. From the sounds of it, it doesn't seem like they would mind if you weren't around the house. I would start spending some serious away time from home. If you're too young to work an actual job see if you can pick up odd jobs around the neighborhood to make some money and start sa…

Similarly, if you're in a professional career look into groups focused on your career path / field. There's a great app called MeetUp for hobbies, user groups, and professional after-hours get-togethers. These are great for networking and expanding on your career in addition to getting casual friends. Keep in mind, just because something is held at a bar doesn't mean you have to drink booze. You can stick to water or (if you're overly concerned about fitting in) drinking soda without alcohol.

TRP doesn't have a hard stance on this. Keep in mind as you read my advice that I don't adhere to everything that TRP preaches, I adhere to what works for me. That being said, you have to look out for yourself, and when you have a kid you have to look out for that kid. First off: you need to be honest with yourself about what is best for your child. As an example, I recently moved about 10 hours away from my kid because in the long-run I realized that is what is going to be best for him. The cou…

With no other context it sounds like she wants away time and she wants it to be your choice to not spend that time with her. Women don't communicate overtly unless they absolutely have to, so she wouldn't just tell you to go home. She may not have expected you to agree to stay based on previous conversations y'all had about those two weeks. If we're talking a true plate - meaning you only meet up with each other for sex - I don't see the harm in going either way unless you're putting off other r…

How is it a double standard? If an attractive woman tells me she wants to slob on my knob and ride me like a race horse I'll say yes. If an unattractive woman says the same thing I'll say no. I think it's the same for most single men.

He needs to check with a lawyer before he decides "do not wife." This varies greatly state by state, assuming he's in the U.S. This is, of course, assuming the paternity test comes back and says it's his kid - though it couldn't hurt to at least start the conversation with a lawyer a bit earlier. In my particular circumstances I would have been much better off if I had married my kid's mom and then just divorced her a year or two later. Would have given me tremendously more power in family court…

You're free to hate on Milo all you want, he's a popular conservative speaker but he's not a particularly great one. Congrats man. I'm sitting here watching all my money get siphoned away, potentially looking at a couple months of homelessness unless I get extremely lucky this week (and I think I am going to). The legal system is complete horse shit when it comes to alimony or (in my case) child custody and support. It's the saying "There's other fish in the sea" in every context. If you catch one and it doesn't look quite right you can throw it back and catch another. If it doesn't taste good for any reason you can throw it out and go catch another. When it rots you can throw it out and go catch another. You can eventually settle on a fish you like if you want; eventually no matter how good it is with the passage of time it's going to whither away - but you can keep it if you like. If you're interested, knife defense is actually really simple and you can learn most of what you need to online. The scary trick with knife defense (particularly when defending against other people using knives / similar weapons) is that you have to be willing to take a stab to a non-vital area. Of course, if you really want value you should get someone to practice your slashes with but worst-case you can always fight the air.

Trump has even raised the issue of false accusations. To be fair: he was kind of forced into this when he was accused of molesting a 12 year-old and a 13 year-old. Yes I am aware, I was in Boy Scouts from 1st grade through until I was 18. My son just recently started Cub Scouts. It's an excellent program. I tried joining a Venture Crew at about 16 in addition to my regular troop but it wasn't nearly as in-depth or interesting as Boy Scouts. I only lasted for maybe a year in it before I stopped going. The exception is I don't believe you can join Venture scouts until you're either 15 or 16 and goes until age 21. Boy Scouts goes from roughly age 6/7 (first grade) until you're 18. you know she's attempting to branch swing Is this where a chick is basically bouncing between more than one dude to try and figure out what she likes best? Because I'm guessing based on how recently she broke up with her ex this is what's happening, and aside from the obvious disrespect that's also why I'm inclined to say "fuck it" and on to the next one.

I feel you, man. I'm terrible at texting, emails, etc. Lately I've been trying the whole tactic of simply ignoring attempts at conversations through text, literally telling chicks "I don't text," and requiring at least a phone call to communicate. Works better, I guess, but not by much.

My understanding is that it's when someone rationalizes things with the intention of making themselves feel better, making someone else look worse, or both in spite of the fact that it doesn't make sense given what's actually happened. When someone says that someone else's "hamster is spinning" they're saying that they're trying their hardest to rationalize something so that it fits that model. I could be wrong, that's just what I've gathered from the discussions I've read.

I can't relate to the whole bully thing. I wasn't exactly a "cool kid" at school, but I had a very direct approach with would-be bullies so I never had that problem. Best advice I can offer is that the past is the past. My frame doesn't break where it can be observed by other people. That's not to say I don't go through hard times, and that said hard times literally never break me - but it's more of a quiet alone-at-home ordeal. I typically avoid going out alone, but that's not because I feel se…

You spend too much time worrying about other people. You said it yourself: I know I should not care If you know this, apply it. Don't change your patterns out of fear of what people will think of you. Don't do shit differently because you think some stranger is going to think less of you. Don't tolerate your "friends'" absolute bullshit because you think it's better to have a bit of slight admiration than to have no friends at all. Ignorance is bliss. One of the things you seem to be forgetting about "hamstering" and rationalization is that the people that do it legitimately believe what they're saying to be true. That's the whole thing about rationalization... they are doing it to make themselves feel better. There's nothing you can do to stop this behavior. You can try to subtly guide them in the right direction: improving their own lives so that they no longer have to bullshit themselves and other people to feel better.…

Couple things. First and foremost, don't give a shit about what other people think. Not really. However, if someone thinks it's stupid / gay for you to go take a hip-hop dance lesson but you really wanna take that dance lesson then go do it. You got downvoted to oblivion, and that sucks. Where you're wrong is saying simply "give her the exact money." When you're in a situation like this, cash is not an option. If you REALLY feel the need to provide her cash you do it via an electronic transfer - the important thing is the paper trail. Generally speaking, though, what someone in a situation where Mom really needs something (e.g. diapers, food, etc.) should do is to buy the things that she needs to provide for child, keep the receipt,…

Recording laws vary by location. For example: where I'm at I don't require the consent or knowledge of the other party to record them. That being said, while I'm sure this likely varies by location, denying visitation even knowing full well that the other parent can't take care of the child technically puts you in contempt of court and, therefore, YOU get in trouble for it. There are measures you can take in a situation like that, but when you find out the day of (as is typical) you don't have e…

plus you have a SUPER easily readable record of the transaction to show where your money went Very much yes. To keep things simple, though: simply following the above direction of sending your child to their mothers' house with adequate food accompanied by a receipt (keep the receipt, to be clear) and a text message that says "I sent our son/daughter with food for the weekend" is just as effective.

He's actually right, though. Here's the fucked up thing: you can't tell her "no, you can't take our son this weekend" even if you know she doesn't have the means to provide. You are then in contempt of court because you refused to allow her to have the child during the allotted time. Now, if she takes him in spite of not having the means to provide and, therefore, he doesn't eat all weekend it does look extremely fucking bad for her. It varies by where you live. Where I live, she goes to the court and says "It's his kid, so he owes me child support." At that point, a smart man will say "Well, I'm not sure. I don't think it's my kid." If you don't take this step, you pay child support. Assuming you denied that it's your child, the court will say "Okay, prove it." At that point, as the man you are required to go and finance a paternity test. With a court order she'll be forced to partake (give her DNA) as well. You don't NEED …

It varies. As far as I'm aware, no one requires a paternity test for child support... you can simply get one and contest the support if you're proven to not be the likely father. Some places will charge you child support if she simply puts your name on the birth certificate and you don't contest it in a timely fashion. Some places will charge you child support if you and her were married and are divorcing, even if none of her kids are yours, because you assume responsibility as the father when y…

I'm aware, but someone else in the thread pointed out that it could have been a result of coming down off drugs. While I'm aware that she doesn't want to bang when that's the case, she has a history. This is a very real possibility for her, she's already been hooked once. That's how I ended up with primary custody, and it's already the reason I went ahead and gave my experiment a shot. If she was just trying to hook back up with me, get money, etc. she'd have been fine with condom-sex.

During my son's first year of life my parents were going through bankruptcy. They moved out of state and I "inherited" their 5 bedroom, full basement house while waiting for the bank to come and claim it. I don't know about the U.K., but I know here in the United States you can get felonies for "hacking" someone's e-mail, even if all you do is sign in with the username and password without consent. Might be worth talking to a lawyer. Most e-mail services can provide a list of IP addresses you have authenticated from, and from there the provider can often tell you who was using said IP address at the time. Get that psycho off your back. The best defense is a strong offense IMO.

The title of "residential parent" is assigned in the custody agreement. If it's up for debate a judge will, in all likelihood, assign it to the parent who is responsible for the child's care the majority of the time. He covered the important stuff. Legal representation as early as possible is extremely important. I just have a few things to add as a single father that recently (finally) secured custody from his son's crazy mother: Stop "saving" her. The next time her mother calls the police on her let them come and let them arrest her. Come up with any excuse you can think of for why you can't make it or didn't make it on time. Tire blew, got pulled over, who gives a fuck. Stop worrying about her "mental sta…

I can't really help with the whole "caring too much what people think about me" thing because generally speaking I simply don't and I never really have. The best I can say is "just don't," and if it were that simple then you probably would have stopped already. However: Part of my downfall is not knowing exactly what I want out of life, I have general ideas. I don't know if this is a good "Red Pill" response, but: goals, man. Set goals, short term and long, and accomplish them. Accomplishments a…

"Frame control" is something that you should do naturally as a leader, they literally train you for that shit if you take good leadership courses. The fact that he's your boss and he does this just means that he's at least decent at his job. Are you trying to sleep with him or something? If not, then continue with whatever adjustments you're making on your own and don't worry about it.

I think internet warriors argue til they fall asleep and not worth it. This isn't just true of "Internet warriors." Whether you're dealing with someone on the Internet or someone in real life if they resort to name-calling and it's abundantly clear that no matter what you say they aren't going to change their mind it's pointless to waste time on it. If you feel the need to speak your piece then do it. If they put effort into rationalizing it away or can't even come up with an intelligent respons…

I don't know about where you're at, but here people under the age of 21 are allowed into pool halls - they just can't drink alcohol there. Most of the time you can score one of the cheaper tables that take quarters or (if you've got the cash to play with) reserve one of the nice ones for the night. I should say I'm not great at pool, but as long as you can accept it and stay confident in spite of that fact not being the best on the table shouldn't hurt your "SMV" too much. You can get a court ordered paternity test if she refuses to allow it. Paternity has to be established before she can get child support, so she's shit out of luck if he refuses to allow the courts to establish paternity without one. Do you have a link for why feminists are trying to make paternity testing illegal? I would love to read the rationalization behind that one.

This is a possibility you learn about in sex ed: if you bang there's a chance that a little one is gonna be popping out of that fun-hole 9 months later. First off: research your local laws before you ever consider an arrangement like this because it turns out that, given my assets at the time, I would have been better off if I married my son's mother and then divorced her as I would have likely been given and retained custody of my son without the disgusting and illogical mess that was an on and off 5 year battle in custody court. It just means that not getting pregnant isn't on their list of priorities. They get "comfortable" with you in the relationship and all of a sudden the thought of having kids goes from provoking fear to (best case) "meh, it wouldn't be so bad" or even worse: "I want to have kids and lock him down." Chicks that truly don't want kids don't forget or "mess up." Not in my experience, anyways.

You're never really ready for kids, at least that's what people who were older than I was when I had kids tell me. I had one at 20, so I definitely wasn't ready but in the end things have worked out. Your priorities shift a bit and you'll essentially become number two on your list as the needs of your kid(s) begin to stack up. I have dealt with all this shit for almost 6 years now, during one of which was a situation very similar to yours. No matter what, you need to talk to a lawyer that specializes in family court. Don't let anything else sidetrack you from that goal first, because you (as a man) are fucked in court without one. Next, you need to be absolutely sure that you are ready for the battle that is family court. The shit goes on for years and I'm not exaggerating. If you're willing to work to secure custody …

If she sees that he is coming between you two(which hes not because you dont want her) then she will kick him out of orbit so you wont have to deal with it again. This is actually pretty brilliant. The next time this happens (and I'm sure it's going to, just with a different chick) I'll try it.

I have a feeling the whole thing with him running to her has already happened, I know he told her about a cam girl I was messing around with (presumably to show her I was already hooking up with a different chick) but, naturally, it had the opposite effect. Question is: can I get him to break the cycle? He did break it with her finally, but he's already onto the next chick and starting to work his way into orbit again.
/r/askTRP02/11/14 11:24 PM

Why not use this girl to show him how women are? What do you mean by that, exactly? Like - I've finally gotten him to the point where he doesn't orbit her specifically anymore but I shit you not he's already got a new one that he's floating around with the mindset of "I need to get to know her really well before I consider dating her." Basically he's going to land in the same place he was before with a new chick.

Once you create a baby you automatically are trapped by child support, so you might alter your strategy after that point. I'm only 26, but my son is 5 so I have to be especially mindful of allowing anyone to become a regular part of our lives. So the old blue pill frame of mind we want to fall in love. As many adopted children will tell you, being raised by their biological parents isn't always what's in the best interests of the child. In Columbus lawyers typically charge about $150 per hour. Better / more experienced lawyers may charge more.
