So I had a vasectomy in April. Just got the all clear from the doc and I'm considering telling my main plate.

Good idea? Bad idea?

Consultation was three weeks prior, took two weeks recovery, then had a two week business trip. Plate has no idea. Just got the all clear.

I'm anticipating the question: "why didn't you tell/ask/consult me?"

I've no sanitized answer but: 'my body, my choice.', but that reeks of feminist butthurt.

Any possible cover stories? Had it years ago but only got re-checked recently? She's a plate, so our relationship hardly started with dinner and a movie.

edit: I'm sick of using condoms with her. The reasons I never mentioned it to her are: oh-whoopsie protection, and I've known women in the past to find infertility a turn-off (It's an instinctive thing.)
